The Baby In the Apple Flowers

With the green lines of lemon leaves It was a pink drawing of dense desires Rising from the dream and sweat pearls Hand in hand at the hyacinth infusion For a new pulsating poetry of life that One day would look up at the towers The feet fondling the grassy ground An ocean in an oyster so cute and sound The fruits a tree wishes to bear are many In taste smell countenance and colours The brain holding the pen looks for A few lines that would tickle the sea The lake under the thick ice in the Mars Is striving to smile with a life yet unknown We think, we dream, we wish and we live Before the departure the flowers we leave We had invested a whole apple that came While churning together our flesh and bone As they got lost into the crimson meshes Of the old flame that keeps the river flowing And now our eyes await the apple flowers The sunshine before and moonlight behind _____________________________________________ July 26, 2018 JOYS and TEARS of being AN EXPECTANT PARENT (mother-father) Cash Prize Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Olive Eloisa Guillermo - Fraser
