Spring
ripples
through luscious
flowery plots.
Manoeuvring into a large cul-de-sac
I climb a low stile only to find a
picturesque scene,
vast field of
poppies
red.

Butterfly Sonnet

Oh gentle and harmless creature with wings!
Didst thou the most delightful message bring,
or didst thou the wordless serenade sing?
Thou pleasant kisser whose touch never stings;
angelic in flight, just like a fairy.
Manoeuvring wings that constantly merry.
Thou watchest the calm and summer gardens,
and with thy tender touch no petal hardens.
Thy flight comes with its attendant sweetness
in an air of atmospheric freshness.
Thou art no doubt a messenger of peace.
Can thy seasoned etiquette ever cease,
or even thy flight of life and Goodwill?
Without thee, no one could eat to their fill.

Premium MemberHasty Judgments

He was late to school as usual
therefore punished
because he daily fed the street dog
who was famished

Member of Alcoholics Anonymous
neighbours sneered at his confessions
although his hip flask was empty
his mission offering hope and inspiration

Frequent cash withdrawals
viewed with suspicion by his wife
whilst he performed small miracles
assisting the needy to rebuild their life

Division of family property
he settled by a wager
manoeuvring adroitly
that his own share be smaller

The void holds all secrets
in a non-judgmental stance
divine love arms open in embrace
in vibrant joyful innocence

Sent

As time has helped to ease the depth of her pain,  small steps have been taken forward and some healing has taken root.
She is reminded daily of the determination and endurance required to nuture those roots,  manoeuvring its twists and turns, and ups and downs.

She is also well aware of how the depth of those roots can easily be unearthed in a moment of weakness.

In these moments, her composure unravels.
Fragile thoughts and feelings become heart-wrenching words, weeping out of the corners of her eyes and onto the page below.
The heartache returns. Her resolve to stay strong and resist the tap of the 'send' button, crumbles.
And before willpower has even a chance to retract, the word 'sent' appears and the silent treatment begins.

Premium MemberDance With Lucifer Satan-

Don't dance with Lucifer
You may be put in a trance
Dancing with the devil
You then said, whatever?
Leaves you with dirty pants
And if he breathes on you,
He's  deceiving you
It's his voice yet but it's your choice
so stop entertaining him
the old folks used to say don't git in bed-with him
So God stop reprimanding
Ain't no blaming
The dance card still remaining
You know what you're doing
Stop you manoeuvring
Just stop, so stop stand tall
Get off the wall
Take off your shoes
Walk over here
From where you stand
Come over hereunto this ground you stand on is holy grounds
This ain't no dance hall
I found that I rather walk with God and Angels
Than to dance with Lucifer Satan

Forget about futuristic wars
between nations, race against race
country against country
tongue against tongue;
soon the populous will know no
borders, continents no boundaries.
“The New master”
Is awakening manoeuvring
stalking, his plan already activated
The twenty second century will
see his bidding become
formidable, the pocket, whims,
thoughts and desires
will be his to regulate, what
to eat, drink, lay on ride on, he
will control, no law will hold him,
he will be the law!
Politicians will become
his directors and producers
will guide his script, play his media
trouble shooters
his bounty hunters, seeking out
the moralist, the Salvationist,
no competition will be his aim,
manipulation of all things
one world
one God
one Board
one CHAIRMAN

Sitting by the beach
At the patio
Summer days behind us
Chatting with my sweetheart
Manoeuvring our glass of wine
Savoring the cooler vista
Reminiscing past adventures
Mapping out new excursions
Just appreciating each other
And loving the way we feel
Free and in love
Relaxed like the old married couple
That we are
Comfortable in our silences
Content by a touch or a smile
Finishing each other’s sentences

Enjoying each minute
And the sense of humor
I fell in love with years ago
Toasting to our health
And the many years to come

Intoxicated with joy
The wine and the autumn sun
Enjoying the life we’ve created
And the people we’ve become
In love and still our own selves

Machiavellian Manoeuvring

He thought he had it made
That he could hide and make the grade
And get what he wanted in the end
So his position he could defend

In Machiavellian manoeuvring
So he could sit back smiling
But he could not control everything
And in his life so sad to bring.

Bison the Canal Boat

Strictly still in the marina
Loving and toying with the pier fingers
Shes a heavy, long boat
An old worker
Modern and comfort slipped with no disturbance into the workwomen
Her engine starts with aggressive industrial baritone chugging
Before oozing into the canal with the grace of a disgruntled elderly woman
Designed for the manoeuvring collisions
Water off a boats back
Undisturbed water – all but an inquisitive pike breaching
Silent cataclysmic rumbles moves her along
The smooth canal  trampled
A minute slit in the graceful water

The Lighthouse - Lighthouse Rhopalic Verse Contest

The coastal lighthouses, intervening
in many dangerous undercurrents.
it's beacon interacts vigorously
as vessel realigns, manoeuvring
past many obstacles undistinguished
by any obvious visionary.
So sailing faultlessly, continuing
home without treacherous impediments

Man In Red

A robin sits on a frosty white window ledge
a boy is sliding down a hill on a shiny new sledge
As a fat man in a red and white suit falls down the chimney
picking himself up with a ho ho ho!
He places gifts wrapped in pretty paper and finished with colourful ribbons and bow
With a look of glee the fat man in red and white knows its time to flee
Its 6 am as little Tommy creeps down the stairs
manoeuvring forward past mince pie and milk remains to the fire
place so warm a spark of joy followed by a smile across his face as
little Tommy finds his reward for being good.

' Eiffel Tower '

~*~

iridescent rainbow hue of alluring view
heart's living essence now in screw
whole unscathed life is in glue
her name is no clue ...

oh love, love, love
like white manoeuvring dove
vagabonding in sense being's above
fate and will - hearts' soul shove ...

you're a scented exquisite flower
petals of warmth's dew in shower
a lady as comely and refined as the Eiffel Tower
I'm a beau, a secret lover ...

you're the effulgent golden daystar in my vague murky dusk
you're the incessant driblets of rain in my ghastly drought's mask
you're the sculpted key that opens my obscure, nebulous life's door
now, no query - " I LOVE YOU " , please don't ask WHY no more.

I'M Flying

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  *-*  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                       " I'M FLYING WITHOUT WINGS "
Gliding, soaring,manoeuvring above the EARTH
Not in the welkin but above the crux of existence and birth
Steering through the cottony clouds of my reveries and infinite aims
Holding the stars - extricating my only hope and creed...not blame
Counting every single breath - not to last for one reason
Grip the great exultant conquest over whatever season
Just living to fly ... soar ...fly ... - aviating my own soul not to fell
But to reach the optimum degree point of heavenly Zion
Not the most unfathomable site of hell
Coz' I'm flying ... FLYING WITHOUT WINGS
In my side...the WINGS OF FAITH that sings . . .
