Kiwi Cricket's Shangri La...
"Can still hear the deafening din of the Indian crowd chagrin.
Stunned shell shocked silence at mandarins' sins.
Yet somehow still so loud
Like thunder down under in the proud
Land of the long white cloud.
Daring to dream of derring do plunder.
Upsets’ unctuous umami.
Shocks’ sumptuous serendipity.
Cast asunder as against the odds.
Hallowed Gods' anguished..felled & fallowed.
Kiwis vanquished the voodoo of Indian home hoodoo.
This purple patch, so perversely plush...got a hunch.
Would make even Prince blush, proud as ribena punch.
Sporting nirvanas cavorting with crepuscular career nadirs.
Can’t pillory this Test expedition, like the Everest conquest & Hillary.
Black cap sedition…Indian perdition.
Tradition debunked by spunky funk.
Not once, not twice but thrice.
Teeming..awash with gleaming beaming white.
Emancipation...damnation & salvation.
The Indian’s cardinal sin…not being able to play spin.
No way you can naysay.. just
Another Bill Murray Groundhog day.
As we learned..the underdog winner.. we yearned had turned.
Fat cats burned & stats spurned..into a dog's dinner."
Obtuse abuse..rude platitudes shout..
About alternative attitudes..generations..
Scream at different altitudes & latitudes..
Venerate mandarins sins..
Generate pernicious vicissitudes
Vicious avaricious machinations..
Celebrate nations chagrin…
Pander to propaganda spin..
AI garlanded reputations..
Cohorts in suits cavort in cahoots..
Kiss or diss..the abyss
Hiss of mis-information bliss..
Arrests..capitalist corporate conquests...detests protest..
Well got egregious prior & previous..
SO
Whatever your hue or world view..
We know what's wrong..doesn't belong
Deliriously daring to dream of derring do..
The meme..prime time you probably knew..
The Force..of course..
Is also seriously strong in you..
Febrile Fog obfuscates palimpsest varnished promises..
Naysayers hoodwinked... deluded players peeling layers..denuded..
Deafening din of our chagrin...
Espoused by rabbles roused by mandarins’ sins..
Tarnished...pampered pilferers pickpocketing public purses...
Deploring the warring cacophony of citizens curses..
Ignoring the boring nagging nadir of nurses...
Corporate castles built without stilts on hourglass sands..
Placards versus lanyards..
Culprits preach parsimony from privileged pulpits..
Civic critics.. protests...pyrrhric..?
No tut tuts..relax…gluts of tax cuts for property sluts..
Licentious larcenists..lust for boom then bust..
Lavishly lacing our lives with lies..
Yet the more we holler...hanker..
Murky truths get darker...muckier.. starker..danker..
Avaricious arsonists torching our cries of why...
Leave us lolloping in a regret & forget.. leaking latrine...
Reeking of what could & should have been..
Lemons are sour and limes are green
mandarins are as sweet is anything
I like oranges
Kumquats and clementines have funny names
grapefruits and pomelos taste the same
I like oranges
Sweeties are as sweet is citrus goes
but I would rather eat a tangelo
I like oranges
Uglis help make your skin gleam
for high cholesterol eat a tangerine
I like oranges
Oranges oranges nay nay nay
makes a tasty marmalade
Orange soda is the best
OJ makes your breakfast
Orange Kool-AId childhoods
orange Hi-C is understood
Orange sherbet, zest from the peal
orange is a fantastic smell
Eat them raw piece by piece
oranges are a juicy feast
Orange candies fun to eat
oranges are a favorite treat
I like oranges
In an epoch and era far removed from ours,
Dwelt two golden gophers on the planet Mars.
Asked one of the other, while hugging his interplanetary car,
Saw you not that adorable smooching star?
Returned the second, scarce nanoseconds later,
Emptied you the mandarins and mayonnaise from yonder refrigerator?
Pondered the first, his coiled intestines wildly blinking,
Might you, the second, a new green navel be seeking?
All in all, a night out on the town spun saucily well,
Jousting at cosmic parlance in a galactic epoch nonpareil.
Many memories of my mother
making moist mellow macaroons
marshmallows and Madeira cake,
minuscule madeleines, marvellous,
mum measures, marinates, melts,
more majestic meals.
My matriarch makes,
marmalade,
marzipan,
muffins,
mincemeat,
meringue.
mousse.
My meritorious mom mixes, merges, mingles,
melon,
mango,
mulberries,
Mandarins.
My maternal materfamilias, masterminds
Mealtime masterpieces.

That is it
After this
No matter if
The road ahead is hazardous
Beside many establishments
Waters with or without halibuts
And areas where the ground and air has traces of contaminants
Bought her a lot of amethyst
And garnets that were called mandarins
So that whenever she wanted too, she could dress up and feel glamorous
In the liquor cabinet
Was bottles, some of which were extravagant
And they typically had either a cork or twist cap on it
Others showing their true colors
Fussing over nothing
Then being animus
Because they are desperate and ravenous
I told you you're soft and gelatinous
Stop trying to talk blasphemous
Or you'll get burned like a lot of cannabis
Bought some amulets
And found a box of talismans
What it said and meant, caused me to conduct my own analysis
Now Ms Dietrich,
I have to give a response,
To your poem on behalf of fruit lovers, thus;
Of fruits we will disagree
I love then for breakfast, even for tea.
I love my apples, peaches and pear
Watermelons, coconuts, and guavas
No fear!
I eat a cherry, then a plum
And suck on star apples until the milk is done.
Even when they are stuck in my throat
Moving north, but heading south.
Love them.
Tangerines, Mandarins and artiniques,
From the same genus, but all unique
Oh and the grapes which are fed
While lying on my feathered bed
Can I tell you about the cucumber
Chew it. bend it, then devour
Now my favourite is the avocado
Refreshes vigour, and strengthens ardour
Now there are some exotic ones you see
News headlines to you but old story to me
My voyages have been long time made
Within each log, I write a page
On the last line an anecdote
To the humble gage, and artichoke
But if ever I have a regret
It's of the fruits not tasted yet.
