The Bird Box

It’d been a long day at work
So he sat in the sun
Enjoying the beer he’d earned
The day finally done

Closing his eyes he relaxed
When a persistent peep
Interrupted his dreaming
And he started from sleep

A brown and grey sparrow
Was in a tree nearby
Twittering and fluttering
Darting round in the sky

He magnanimously
Heard the internal call
To build a home for his friend
It would take no time at all

He had wood he could use
Although it had a twist
And it was rotting too
So he added to a list

Along with a tape measure
And extra nails, in case
Also, the saw was rusty
Another thing to replace

An expensive trip later 
He had all he required
In fact, he had more -
His card almost expired

Building the box began 
He slaved under the sun
Then slapped on some paint
And at last it was  done

The bird glanced at the box
And immediately sussed
It was substandard housing
It flew off in disgust

So he was left with the bird box
All wonky and empty
It had cost him $350 -
Bunnings had them for $20

Terraforming

"Terraforming"
 


She creates her new world
crackling life between her thighs
birthing the pains of man 
ever constant terraforming 
she reigns 
magnanimously 
in her power
holding his imagination 
in her warm palms
like twin marbles burning;

Sun and Moon kiss
in his field of dreams

She’s terraforming 
ubiquitously his horizon
each and every morning
diamond hard she wears him
he's receiving callibrations
a measurement of risk, 
she flies with new wings
piercing jade blades
through his windows
Goddess rides his Blue Skies
holding his 
hot piece of art 
there arrives two smiles 
in riotous celebration

massaging 
cabin fever hearts

twin deities
divine salves
blessed and damned in
the morning 
awaking their new
celestial migration

Eternal Slumber

ETERNAL SLUMBER
I'm Serving Savory Sacrifices of Soulful Songs,
Soundly Singing psalms so Sonorously:
So-fa-mi-ra-do,
Sweet Songs on my lips Staples,
So far my radio
Shook so many Tables
Souls Scintillatingly Trembles
As feets, mouths and hands Dabbles
Soul-prayerfully we stand so strong like Jambuls
Making my Mumble Mockers go Bunkers,
Mayhem Magnanimously, Murderously Making More Moaners
Including the Stalkers, Scorners and Spoilers,
Inoculate my jesters into the sleep ocean.
Pollute their Motion & Intention with slumbering Potion
Because no fusion to be awaken in life's institution,
Now look at them in their slumbering execution,
They are even doing choreography sleep!
Lol...Sheepishly taken astray like a Shaded Sheep
To be slaughtered by bounded brainstorming breezes, blowing,
Bellowing, bringing bed-time bruises, bad buddies broken,
Shaken, Sailing Straight into Solitary Severe Sleep instead,
Eternally Entangled into Ephemeral Everlasting End.

Vignette

Long before the whispers
fell down 
upon your solemn shoulders   
as with new day dew's droplets   
dangling so delicate, so free   
  
I heard all about you   
what was resting within   
your beauty, your vision's quest   
speaking thru shimmering light   
placed so magnanimously  
right in front of me   
  
slight touch, curls to the sight   
enfurled in more than mystery   
an elegant flow   
blinking under seas of blue and green   
filling deep into a guise   
somewhat larger than you, than me 
  
before there were tumbles and spills   
where fingers adjusted heights   
where hopes hinged then swung open   
passions, that melted upon minds,  
sated lips and springtime wishes   
  
there were romantic vignettes   
ready to be written, to be read   
marked down in time, for futures   
not to look past, moments holding hope  
where hearts connected   
and feeling felt would forever last

Words

There’s nothing finer, in a sense,
Than certain words in present tense.
Words which are incredibly,
Etched on your mind indelibly. 

Immaculate, petulant, magnificent, sinew,
Incredulous, superfluous, to name just but a few.
Sacrament, procrastinate, intestate - may seem,
Draconian, Dickensian, obsolete, obscene.

Gratuity, embouchure, gnaw with silent 'g',
Juggernaut, cantankerous, words which I must decree,
Are remarkably, stupendously, fantastically sublime,
And should be used magnanimously, each and every time. 

Biblical, whimsical, statistician, brie,
Words which are surprisingly, absolutely free. 
Insatiable, perpetuate, onomatopoeia, 
Existential, exemplary, words you shouldn’t fear.

Exponential, candid, xylophone or muse,
Malign versus benign - never to confuse. 
Reptilian, gazillion, fragility, beguile, 
Elucidate, excruciate, go the extra mile.

Psychopath, pedestrian, sesquipedalian,
(That last word I must admit is somewhat alien),
But never doubt, you have some clout, with words that randomly,
Demonstrate, accentuate a sense of liberty.

Bridge

Stretching, snaking, sliding into the fog

A bridge makes its way across the divide

Stepping, striding, stamping like a clockwork cog

The man, cloaked in shadows tries hard to hide.

 

Solitary, standing, soliloquy to the journey started

Hands thrust in pockets head bent towards the wind

Staring, silence, structured defiantly sat

The river starts its life, magnanimously parted

Sarcastically, sassy, singular, the bridge road runs flat

Life According To Balveen

If you look at life it is an entanglement of garter snakes
Heaps piled together without realising where to start
All of a sudden a head peeps and slithers out smoothly
Problems of life are magnanimously overbearing
The thought of untying the knots can blister the veins
But when you slowly open one knot at a time, 
It is unbelievably so smooth that you need to 
Flatten that silly, over imaginary bulging head 
With a piping hot frying pan! Make use of your brain-box!

Problems and failures are man's best enemies
Failures can wreck our lives and drown us
But when the toughest person gives his rough hand, grab it!
Don't be wary and judgemental whether to hold or not
Rely on your instincts, they're always dependable
When two discuss the same failure together and analyse it
Blaming not on destiny but on minute flaws of the self
Give the broadest smile to work on your new improvisations
Your constructive journey has just begun! A new approach!

The ruthless plans of destiny are not in your hands
But the choices you make are in your hands! Choose well!

Lies

Lies lies lies 
Easily and swiftly they flow out 
And never will they stop 
Until the stoppage of life 
Like the blood from the jugular 

They have no potency 
Rather are they independent 
But they spread magnanimously 
Like the cancerous cells 

Their soothing effects 
To the heart of the hearer 
Great and not unenjoyable 
Like the feeling when you diddle 

Lies lies lies 
They don't reproduce 
But they are reproduced 
Like a series of overrunning echoes 

They are not scary 
Rather are they violent 
Yet they kick the heart of the bearer 
Like a player hits the ball 

You don't love them 
But when you hear some 
You give a warm welcome 
Like to a dishy maiden knocking at 
your door 

Non-energetic as they are 
The carry powerful effects 
Inciting disparate reactions 
Like a refree's decision 

You send them the invitation 
Even when they should not come 
Because they are easy to come by 
Like lipstick paints on ladies' lips

Charm of Poetry

Rosette tapestries of unparalleled glamour
Embroided thoroughly by the wittiest clamor
Magnanimously amorous in grace and wonder
Bewitching and charming though so yonder

Rhetorically out bounding my frugal thoughts
To be "irresistible", my flawless pure cause
Starlight's amiss your ornate romantic spell
Driving me sweetly to madly deep to compel

Handful of metaphors and highfalutin words
Illuminating. Inspiring. Invigorating.
Incubating anyone with one unique style
Wonderful, beautiful, matchless, they foretell

Vividly inventive and bombastic with each stroke
To hardened hearts, you can surely start to stoke
Erratically tender enough to adagio break the silence
Drawing  anyone for more and more to your essence

Perchance, Rambling along
mind boggling, Mountain Ranges
gaze in wondrous awe
at the scenic beauty abound
irenically serene
stimulating minds 
to utterly astound.

Now in pensive wonderment
spare a thought
on the molten magma
incessantly on the broil
at earth's pulsating core
ponder the power.

Then Wonder the Maker
the intricate working's
of that Perfect Mind,
Gestaltism in awe
with intentional overtones,
Purposely intertwined
the perpetual motions
of the Maker's Nature,
Created Divine.

a persnickety grimace
bandaids 
the severed slices

excuse my idiotcy

dementia is not covered 
under my insurance policy 
but 
cough   spit
mutants 
like myself
somehow survive

religiously pathetic
empathically morose
sympathetically laughable

one last day
one fleeting 
precious 
moment

the rifle is gently removed
from an uncolored mantle
periwinkle would have
been my palor of choice   now
Say ah and place 
the hunter's 
metallic eye
strategically 
down your throat

everything is pretty
everything is so goddamn 
wonderful

sweat on my forehead
sweat on the trigger
one deep breath
one more for good riddance
go my sweetheart

for a starved beggar's last day
