She wanders where the salt-mist clings,
A pale silhouette on the shore,
While in her heart, a sorrow sings
For him who sails the deep once more.
Her gown is woven from the spray,
Her eyes are mirrors of the tide;
She watches through the dying day
With nowhere left for grief to hide.
The waves deliver only foam,
The gulls cry out a lonely plea;
She waits for him to turn for home,
From out the dark and restless sea.
Though seasons shift and stars turn cold,
And years dissolve in silver light,
Her vigil remains as it was of old,
A phantom flame against the night.
From streak and blur of candle faint
Her whispered breath gasps through dim hall--
That longing haunts without restraint
When a presence twirls come midnight:
Gently, gently she advances
Yet tapered wax fades...bleak the loff
And she aches for snuffled chances;
To meet him ...in world's afterlife

I never want to give up on my twin soul lover.
I will always long to be with him forever.
I am not sure when we will truly be together.
I often wish someone can give me an answer.
I only know I love him as a significant other.
I am always left waiting, feeling so unsure.
I wish I stayed pure in all the ways that matter.
I only know we're learning how to love each other.
I am realizing now that I want to do better.
I want to prove to him I am worthier than her.
I love him no matter how his past makes me feel bitter.
I am learning how to free myself from my own tether.
I will wait for him, even for up to a decade later.
I see the rift between us that once made us differ.
I am smoothing things out like the rapids of a river.
I know someday our separation will be over.
Our names always rhymed,
Our reconnection well-timed.
Hoping you'll have me
As the one who sets you free,
The one you'll love divinely.
I wait by the tallest green pine tree.
I wait for him to set me free.
He tried
but for him
speech did not
come easily,
the parrot had a stutter
starting with a sputter --
tripped over
every third word
sounding quite absurd
the clipped-wing bird;
his flight, as well,
a jump and a fell --
a monumental flop,
every spring
followed by a plop...
and Boots, the penthouse cat
a bit of a louse
absent a mouse
terrorizes Carrot~ the penthouse
parrot --
poor Boots, dreams of woods
feline hunts and captures
kept from the wild
chooses poor Carrot
for his daily, stalking raptures --
Hunger for his love.
Need to be freed from this lust.
Desire for him grows.
Oh he knows, deep down he knows,
She hungers for his desire.
Our home was lit with autumn's spicy scent.
Now spent are the forms that had something to hold:
votive molds, photo frames, vases.... forsaken.
The form within my breast, too, is forsaken,
no longer pressed against your Old Spice scent.
Once, we had each other to hold....
Now memories are the substance we hold.
Your sloughed skin dust is not yet forsaken;
a whiff remains of seasonal clove scent....
Forsaken spiderwebs hold your signature scent.

She was
Within striking distance
Eagerly waiting,
With bells on, for him.
She could have been
His million dollar baby.
Pity, he took too long
To pounce.
Between a blink,
Far out of sight was she.
He strained his eyes
Longingly searching for her
Across a desolate expanse
Into nothingness.
She's walked into
Another man's waiting arms.
Facing each sunset
Lonesome,
He looks back
With a stinging regret.

she doesn't understand
and waits for him to speak his mind
she wants to know what's in his heart
she doesn't know where they both stand
this waiting game is not her strong suit
still she refuses to upset the cart
she stops to think of what could be
it somehow doesn't make it easier
she thinks of how without warning
she lost her freedom
that instant she let go of her heart
falling for a man who was there but not
now she looks at her reflection
wondering if her destiny
is to remain cold and alone
with love just out of reach

While we're in the dark
Come my love let's touch
Touch the light then embrace
The fondling of its presence spark
Yon glittering the haze the premise
Of the blaze a twinkle in the night
Come my love let's walk together
Let us embrace the light hand in hand
Let it stand firmly together
Let us reprimand and understand
We should not quiver crumble in the night
For the light is our Lord in Jesus
As He's here walking beside us
Come my love let's walk in the light
My last let us walk together
hand in hand with Jesus Christ

A man with a tender heart
How can you find love
And well when will it start
Softly spoken yet stern
Alas its love he's so yearns
And yes there is bass in his bones
A mild kindly man he who represents
and yet still can
But for journal writings and strands word play
and pain
Seeds yet stands sensitive man
With his heart in his hands
Fully a true grown man and yet he still cries
Affirmative clock so tics in his mind he asked
This question when is his time for love
Sensitive man where is the woman for him

how she longs to escape
carefree pack a bag
leaving all behind
hop on a train and run
straight into the arms
that hopefully long for her
as if she really dares
be transported by visions
of flambéed passion
not really knowing if
she too fills his daydreams
with lustful longings
does she haunt his nights
so he too fights desires that rattle
and deprive his sleep
does he secretly long to possess her
feverishly amorously
the way a lover should
she didn’t go looking for him
they somehow found each other
their lives meshing intertwining
her heart seeming ripe
for a train ride to adventure
and long distance romance

Amidst the yellow flowers she stood
Wishing that he would arrive
She could feel his soul happy, so alive
All with the brush of breeze that could
Bring her everything she wished for
Laughter, smiles and hugs with love
They share with falling stars above
She hopes for him to feel once more
Through the shine of yellow petals, she walks
Carrying memories all of the way
Sending blessings to him on this day
As the field seems to listen as she talks

Colors of sorrow
Black, gray – faithless
Melancholy
Breaking through my
Deepest thoughts
Into my heart’s
Haven of hope
Drifting in and out
Like the beating
Echoed through my veins
Bleeding, flowing in rich
Crimson drops
Feelings rearranged
Within me
Revealing the way
To breathe in
Blankets
Of
Dark angst
Fear and mourning
Regret that weeps
With grief for – not only
What has been in yesterday
But what is to come again
With the rising of the sun
And the longing within
By soul
A teardrop flows
Cheerlessly
Expressing the way
Toward despair
Where my feelings
Know only the aching
Pain that lives
To cut through my
Feelings for him
The one who did me in
With his selfishness
And greed for
My tears
