Premium Member Why You, Why Now, Why Here, Why Me

I am a man who walks through time
I see before it started and the end of the line
I can see your birth and be a witness to your death
Why am I sat here?
Perhaps I just need a rest?

I know everything there is to know
I am power itself let the truth be told
I can balance inaccuracies in the human line
I see the truth and know the lies

There you go asking me questions again
Because of my shoe leather or my fountain pen
Because I have an air in the way I talk
You think it's strange so you want to know more

Ok then I'll tell you why
I chose this seat in this place of time
I am here to make sure that you live
The wise guys are coming to this place you live
You've witnessed something and they know
Your silence will stop the truth from being allowed to live

Don't believe me?
That's fine I guess
But if you don't come with me
Your life is going to be more than a mess

We've got twenty three minutes before they arrive
Come right now with me if you want to live or die in the field out back tonight

It's really time for you to decide

Still more information needed from me?
Why you, why now, why here, why me?

But seriously, 338 years from now
A small ship appears through high cloud to a waiting crowd
With a woman who just saved a planet far away from here
With 190 billion lives from death, insanity and fear
She managed to set warring parties straight
Her name is Juliet Knowles-Hyde

That's right Mr Knowles-Hyde

If you die tonight

They don't live

Premium Member A Part of Me

I am proud to call Canada my place of birth,
cherishing my freedom; I'm aware of its worth.
Throughout my life, I have witnessed my nation grow,
shaped by compassionate people; this much I know.

Democracy was won by battles o'er the years,
fought for by its heroes, drenched in sweat, blood, and tears.
Canada was slowly nurtured into being;
the land of the free is a concept with meaning.

Its political life was tempered like a knife,
by economic hardship and internal strife.
Liberty is a right that's precious in this land,
protected within its laws, as its founders planned.

A culture of tradition and diversity,
bolsters its strength when confronting adversity.
And peace is a goal that we actively promote,
voices united in the power of our vote.

We are a nation of morals and ideals,
where equality and freedom are packaged deals.
For here, we all enjoy the true meaning of free,
I'm part of this country, and it's a part of me.

Premium Member For the Beauty of God the Father's Daughter May I Have Her Hand In Holy Matrimony

Look at her beautiful
but it's not about her body though
Those there the thoughts of touching her
lust mindset changes course I engulfed and embellished her
with my spiritual heart she's embraced and her Father's arms
This is His daughter I witnessed as she spurns my charms
I watch and embellishment in my mind of hearts
I deserve more than this as I'll wait and ask her Father for her hand
And in front of him I devotely stand
Ever presents her evidence her soul awaits I stand
For and offer a holy kiss
As the angels witness
I ask the Father for her hand
Just once though I am a man,
 who's abandoned my selfish pleads
As I forfeit those once selfish thoughts
Pleading and asking the Father for His daughter's heart
Promises of love holy holy a bountiful love eternal natural bountiful love
I ask Father God may I have your daughter to see in Wholy
Holy matrimony
Please thank you Father
Hallelujah

Oh Sol, Oh Sol

Oh Sol, Oh Sol,
You have been there to see it all.
From Meteors and Craters
to Meat and P'taters.

The Lord set you above us with distinctive ire,
to give Earth life by your distant fire.
You have seen the planets ever go 'round,
Continuing fixation as worlds abound.

Your warmth gave us the atmosphere we cherish,
from the first amoeba to the dinosaurs' perish.
Then, as we cooled in your radiant light,
Man was formed and stood upright.

We seem to have no lack of *****,
as can be witnessed by our "space junk".
We have seen your eclipses a time or two,
We have visited the moon, and other planets too.

What we lack is a humble nature,
for Man is but a prideful creature.
We think we are the "Cat's Meow",
when all we are is the back end of a sow.

We will be humbled and afraid as you slowly grow,
Swallowing planets along the way as you go.
So, when the Lord tells you to finally fall,
Remind us of His forgiveness, Oh Sol, Oh Sol.

Premium Member We Came Upon a Clearing

We came upon a clearing as we all started to choke
Our eyes hurting, painful, us soldier serving blokes

Pieces of black floated, sporadic burning embers passed
Hazed buildings we could see through the trees, chimneys a fast

A stench captured our senses, nothing like this war has before
As we progressed through this something, my heart skips to sore

Beyond the barbed wire fences, deadening cries filter all around
And then I see skeletal beings, it's they who make those sounds

Emaciated to thin, I've killed men before my eyes
Women, men, and children so young, it's like watching the walking die

Through the gates we go, human carcasses piled so high
The hardened in us tremble, and many of us start to cry

The strong that we meet, hold our hands and welcome us so
Leading us into some buildings, we entered, they wouldn't go

On entering we now understand, their unwillingness to follow we
It beggars belief, mans inhumanity to man, that allows this kin to grieve

Furnaces still roaring, burning bodies consumed by their heat
Do I image they were alive or dead to meet this ghastly greet

We enter another building, witnessing piles of shoes and suitcases
I've seen many a sight in this war, but never a sight such as this

The strength of me now exhausted, in wretch I'm sickened to disgust
It's plain and clear, so evident that I've witnessed murdering lust

To the air I wanting go, for their memory I'll never forget
And for the rumours that these places existed, for some will they regret

Premium Member ROCKS OF LOVE-FOUNDATION

I hold three magic rocks, in my hand
Rolling them over and over and over
Leaving this reality behind, far behind…

The first rock led me to the garden of Eden
Where I witnessed the nature-studded wedding
Of the first couple that experienced genuine love
Bestowed by the Author of care, compassion, concern
Enclosing them around paradise delight midst fellowship divine…
Such gripped me with gratefulness to the Creator
Who is now enabling everyone to be a faithful steward of His grace.

Then the second rock directed me to an orphanage
Where previously abandoned children did find a home
Reigning with lovingkindness that vanquishes apathy
There they live as a united family of peace-filled hope
Midst friendship marked by mercy and truth
Along partnership that builds lives, despite tests and temptations
Thankful to God for His goodness, always prevailing.

Third rock ushered me to heaven-on-earth wellness center
To behold miracles at work along marvelous might
Since there, special children maximize their potential
As they manage themselves, enjoying functionality with zest
Helping the aged as they transport them in wheelchairs’ zeal
Assisting fellows in finishing their tasks in art and music
All because they are constrained with love divine
Empowered by the Rock* of ages.

*1 Samuel 2:2 There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Premium Member Unfounded Hatred Toward a Young Stranger

The subway station heaves with muffled noise,
The shuffle of countless feet against the grime,
I am aware of unfounded disdain,
Coursing between strangers in the city's bowels.

The ancient fluorescents blink in yellow strobe,
Casting faint light on self-assuring cries and whispers,
Where breathy sighs of pity mingle with laughter
That hides like vermin in the concrete seams.

The old man's stare, bitter, unwavering,
Follows the young man with a foreign tongue,
Each syllable grating on his weary ears,
Each word a puncture in his sense of self.

The tracks beneath pulsate with distant rhythm,
An electric hum heralding trains,
And all around, unseen but felt,
Silent inner pleas for the world to be as I see it and want it to be.

The young man's cap is tilted with casual ease,
His eyes bright, unguarded, full of tomorrow,
While the old man's grip tightens on his cane,
Knuckles white with a lifetime's anger.

And then, a sudden scream and rush,
The young man trips, stumbles, and falls,
A quick descent into the void below,
His body meets the rails with a sickening thud.

The old man flinches, a breath caught in his throat,
The echoes of horror ripple through the crowd,
The subway station halts, a silence heavy,
As the train screeches, too late to stop.

The old man's eyes, now wide with shock,
No longer see the young man's accent,
Only the lifeless form where he once stood,
The shadowed truth beneath all their words.

The strangers around draw closer,
Their differences momentarily blurred,
In the shared reality of what they've witnessed,
A grim reminder of fleeting, fragile life.

The old man turns away, his heart a twisted knot,
The anger replaced with a somber void,
The self-assurance crumbles like brittle stone,
Leaving only questions with no clear answers.

Premium Member You

I’ve watched the sun rise in Angkor Wat
The beauty in Santorini will not be forgot
Mount Bromo was a sight worthy to behold
Cape Town did shine so bright and so bold

I witnessed the sun as it set on the Grand Canyon walls
The moonlight dancing on the Sutherland Falls
I’ve cried at the feet of the Redeemer so grand
I’ve seen so much beauty in many a land

Nothing compares to what I’ve seen with my heart
A sight so amazing it just tore me apart
It all pales in comparison so right and so true
The beauty that I see every time I’m holding you

Anticipation

Thoughts keep coming back to that night at sixteen
when the world sat on the horizon of opportunity
the immediate lay on the closer side of a horizon
          as blank and wide open
           as opportunities before me.

My flesh burned and floated while watching eternity
                  mapped out
in the revolving cycle of galaxies just lighting the sky,

while I witnessed their message millennia gone by.

I was flat on the springs of trampoline stretched from my childhood
and my closest most inner being was suspended
above in yards of gravity where the fog drifted
and the energy of summer heat
                     blanketed my very being.

There was a thunderstorm brewing, while I anticipated my flight.

Dead High Notes

When I watch because I never have

Witnessed or even heard

A be it he or she whomever

Singing a rendition of a song

In a particular voice and key
unbeknownst to me

Because I myself am sadly not at all
well versed In culture or the arts

As honestly i've never been the ballet
seen an opera watched a play let alone
seen the inside of a theater

The only thing I do know is when I see
and hear a singer hitting whatever those
certain high notes are that only they can reach

They screech such pure emotion right
through my ears into my brain

I fear it must and can only denote 1 thing

Once the final note is sung

Someone or other poor soul is unfortunately
