Dead High Notes

When I watch because I never have

Witnessed or even heard

A be it he or she whomever

Singing a rendition of a song

In a particular voice and key
unbeknownst to me

Because I myself am sadly not at all
well versed In culture or the arts

As honestly i've never been the ballet
seen an opera watched a play let alone
seen the inside of a theater

The only thing I do know is when I see
and hear a singer hitting whatever those
certain high notes are that only they can reach

They screech such pure emotion right
through my ears into my brain

I fear it must and can only denote 1 thing

Once the final note is sung

Someone or other poor soul is unfortunately

Dead
