Chris prompts his friend, Cyra
to help him win the
heart of his true love,
Roxy
Chris is easy on the eyes
a dreamy kinda guy
but as far as conversation goes
he’s got no game
Cyra articulates like no other,
a maven of expression
But visible impression?
Not so much
Chris plans the evening well,
standing under the spell of
Roxy’s second-story window
(taming butterflies)
Cyra too on the scene
is nowhere to be seen
as if hiding in a cloud
awaiting a cue
Chris tosses candied sweethearts
at her window, she finally awakens
Roxy’s appearance is captivating,
stirring Chris’s senses
Surrogate Cyra begins on cue
launching love-struck expressions
Roxy nearly swoons …
Chris starts coughing
Discerning the subterfuge
as coughing Chris chokes
Roxy beseechingly begs,
“Who are you? What is your name?”
Truth undisguised
Cyra promptly replies,
“Cyra—NO! I will not lie …
I am generative AI”
Roxy faints, befuddled
Chris’s words muddled
Thus ends this mad romp—
AI awaits a prompt
There is that ever-popular Motel Six version, for it's their bread-n-butter, and then there are less promiscuity five-star types ... like those donning wedding rings, or discreetly rounds of roses of the week.
With my lead in-house, left me her line open to entertain a levy of calls, as sightseeing does not amuse Ms. Sanford explosives, free my time for early use of one of our day-use rooms for leisure, as well as, prep myself a shower prior to my entertaining an elusive quandary.
I checked on Jane, had she any news, other than she called Hog's Breath and was told that Clint had gone out with friends?
Subject: Day use. A temporal use of a room. Subject's topical use of a room as opposed to its thorough use. It privileges the Red-Eye flight catchers to opt for a late check out of their suite at 50% less its price.
If the privileges are abused of its intent, a call justified by the night housekeeping manager, and in all such cases the guest would be long absent till its discovery, the question is then left to me.
Knowing the depth of the scenario, where the proclivities of a maid's list will provide, a 'C/O'-check out room prioritizes the guest less likely to be present requiring thorough cleaning as opposed to a 'D/U'-day use room and its expected lingering guest having a dash and go from it ...
Maid accepts OT or leave as an added for the night shift, nonetheless, a guest surprised by its credit card/company bill ... charge them.
Lamp duly doused, what use more oil?
Thieves absconded, what use vigil?
Wooing women once vigour gone,
Building bridge water has when flown.

Translation |15.10.2024| lamp, thief, old age, woman, water, bridge
Poet’s note: Sanskrit has thousands of verses of wisdom called Subhashhitam. What use is adding oil, once the lamp is already doused? What use is vigilance once the thief has stolen things and gone? Once flood waters have flown, what use is building a dam? They are like wooing a woman when youth has duly gone. The transliteration of the Sanskrit verse follows:
Nirvaane pradeepe kim u taila daanam,
chaure gate kim u saavadhaanam |
Vayo gate kim vanitaa vilaasah,
payo gate kim khalu setu-bandhah ||
There comes the EAST, against the SOUTH
The WEST against the SOUTH
Again the NORTH, all against the SOUTH
Just to use, manipulate and enslave
our minds, One said music is all
I say
The growth of a country
Depends on the knowledge Of the youths
But money makes everything worthwhile
Them songs; Bursting Up the speakers
The knowledge birthed, connections for elevation
My money bossing up, Mi world
They call me
A LAZY GOLD DIGGER NO i am
A POET, I was a once a hustler
Here comes another, they said...
Laughter is everything, It keeps you entertained
I said; Laughter without, happiness and contentment
From within is Forgery, For social connection
Money makes it enduring and complete
Them jokes and movies, all over the NATION
With Global recognition
My people Living La vida loca (the crazy life)
La Bella vida (The beautiful life)
Amidst all hate and denials, they labelled us SCAMMERS
No we are messengers of Love, Oneness was our message.
da vida (life-giving) vida Feliz (happy life)
There came
The other, boosting of their. strengths and powers
I told them
It's not by power, neither myth but
Consistency without resistance
Money makes whole, It adds honor
We all will die one day, but not certain
Now they got
The military With armed forces, ARMY
Forcing, forging lies and flogging us to
Move their ways, my people
Still showing love, amidst the tortures
They call us vultures with cultures
No we are healers and seers
Which they keep seeking, Unknowingly
Silence and discernment was Our weapons
Their perception of us, Was a reflection of them.
All them wishes On us was to be their
Sheep for slaughter
Copycat to navigate the negative poles
Propelling the heroes, Within
The Sleeping LIONS, they awakened
Now My people roar for;
Absolute freedom, greatness comes from it
We SOUTHERNERS also deserve power
We want to own our resources
And Our Fundamental Human Rights
JUSTICE and FREEDOM IS THE SOUND
AS WE ROAR FOR GREATNESS!!
From what she was in high school
to what she is right now
Some may consider a phenomenon
while other marvel how
I remember the face of the cool cool girl
in the class before me
Vanilla chocolate was her flavor
a favorite for sure I've seen
Though thirty years has past
there was still something to see
She was the woman I always knew from a child
the woman with ageless beauty
You know the color of her lips
and the mascara around her eyes
you know the shape of her cheek bones
her boney fingers and perfect smile
There is a beauty that we call elegant
often found on wedding days
but rarely doe's this elegance
grace our wrinkles and grays
Yet I still wondered where she came from
this woman of grey delight
Always high maintainence
always someone's wife
But how shall I describe her
this woman that I know
The immortal beauty that took others places
Others that were there before she showed
Destiny is a force that cannot be stopped
The place where she is that awe and shocked
time is a blessing depending on how it's spent
But beauty is a lesson testing the bearer
and the one to whom beauty was sent
Though I speak of thousands of women
there is one that looks the best
The queen of all the goddesses
for whom there is no contest
The woman I see is timeless
she hasn't always been the rage
But now that she's past fifty
she wears the beauty of that age
But looking past the beauty
is the life you may not see
The horrors of real life
hidden by ones fantasies
When makeup is mostly for mirrors
and not the world outside
Beauty is only a mask
and compliments sooth the pride
The shell of forbidden beauty
hidden by an unattainable goal
And yet this untamed beauty
may posess a lonely soul
And life may hold larger things
than we could ever imagine
But what can be more beautiful
than this wonderful distraction.

Come on now use your loaf
I’ll bake some bread for your toast
Flour, yeast, water and salt
Four ingredients for its growth
A chemical reaction is what I need
So I knead the dough so carefully
Squish and roll, squish and fold
This process you know is well evolved
I need to release that protein
The gluten in the flour
Creating pockets of carbon dioxide
So my dough rises higher
I’ll leave it in a warm room
Until fermenting takes place
Maybe for two or three hours
I don’t want it to be a disgrace
Now it’s risen twice the size
That just really blows my mind
I’ll pop it in a pre-heated oven
Forty five minutes, I will govern
A fresh loaf there’s nothing like it
Warm beauty on display
So come on now use your loaf
Let’s bake some bread today

Got a DVD of the Honeymooners
And one of the Old Jack Benny Show
Watched The Quiet Man with John Wayne
Where did all the morals go
Violence and garbage all over the TV
Violence and garbage on the news too
Nothing of value anymore
They don’t make them like they use to
Got in my car and noticed the similarities
Most of the cars look the same
Thought about my 56 Bel Air
Driving was a different game
All the models had their own style
AM radio that we’d cruise to
Something special under the hood
They don’t build them like they use to
Thought about my old high school
Attending pep rallies before the big one
Everyone showed up to cheer
Every body having fun
There were rules we had to follow
We couldn’t do whatever we choose to
School was different in those days
They don’t teach them like they use to
I see neighbors building higher fences
Live next door and don’t know each other
We lived in an ally full of kids
Treated each like a sister or brother
Neighbors visited without knocking
Never needed an excuse to
Just drop in to shoot the breeze
They don’t have neighbors like they use to.
NEEDED TO USE WISELY
Morning dew splatters upon my head
I stand on a point thinking of what to do for tomorrow
yesterday slipped through my fingers
as autumn slipped through summer
today is about to pass me by
as 29th is about to pass through 30th
yet my tomorrow is unknown
why not wait for me time?
My age increase everyday
While I still on a point thinking of what to do
Winter passes me by made to shiver,
Evoke the image of a friend I saw yesterday in an exotic car
Tears roll like stream from my eyes to mouth,
I taste the sweetness of laziness
Whom should I blame except me………………….
Time is precious, needed to use wisely
You're not as dumb as people say, you're dumber
Seen people like you before, but had to pay admission
You're so fat, you could sell shade
Do you need a license to be that ugly?
Stupidity is not a crime so you're free to go
You're so old, when you were a kid, rainbows were black and white
Every time I'm next to you, I get an intense desire to be alone
You're so fat, you leave footprints in concrete
How did you get here, did someone leave your cage open?
As an outsider, what do you think of the human race
Just because you have one doesn't mean you have to act like one
You're so ugly, you scared the crap out of the toilet
I'm jealous of people that don't know you
You're so ugly when your mom dropped you off at school
she was fined for littering
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you
Some babies are dropped on their heads but you must have
been thrown at a wall
I'm busy now, can I ignore you some other time?
Keep rolling your eyes, perhaps you'll find a brain back there
I'd like to see things from your point of view but I can't get
my head that far up my ass
The Kingdom of God is among us
In Jesus Christ, we can trust
He is pure, so we can endure
Many preach a false gospel.
The truth is a dangerous weapon in
The hands of a person who is not true
For a long time, people have used the
Gospel merely to draw in money
The use of truth in an evil way is a common scenario
In our day and age
People are placed in a cage
They merely listen to leaders without
Studying the Text for themselves
The Cross is the Masterpiece
The Kingdom of God is the Truth and has become
A universal symbol of the sacrifice of God for all humanity!
The Kingdom of God is among us
In Jesus Christ, we can trust
He is pure, so we can endure
