I have escaped to my frog prince room to get away from my everyday messes.
I promised myself I would not do this again, reminding myself, "less is more."
But self did not listen. We dragged home everything and anything someone might use.
Someone might use has never come to play or to visit.
Someone might use has never taken anything home.
Someone might use does not exist except in my shop-a-holic mind.
Someone might use needs to be obliterated from my dendrite pool.
Someone might use needs to be annihilated and cremated.
Someone might use needs to walk the plank, in front of ferociously angry pirates.
At the very least, someone might use needs to be eliminated from my vocabulary.
And the way this stuff is piling up, the sooner the better.
Is this the result of being raised by two children who lived during a depression?
Maybe, but my mother could locate anything and everything, quickly, for someone who might use.
I cannot find it even when I search and search.
I am a grown up now, anyway.
I have no one to blame but myself for all of these things that "someone might use", but never does.
As I discard truckload after truckload of stuff that I dragged home, for the notorious
"someone who might use", I hope that I have learned my lesson.
But I doubt it.
Why aren't words spilled, have voices stilled?
Our protest songs barely a squeak.
Have we grown inured to a hateful world,
now rest on our laurels, so to speak.
Does a hate virus pour an infectious spore,
allowing cacophony to poison the truth?
Words need to be aired, and honesty shared
if for nothing else, to rescue our youth.
Teens' past recalls Saturdays cruising Mall
But now they fear gunshots will ring out
A walk at night among star-filled quiet,
is a peace we can now seldom bring about.
We shudder with disgust with days we can't trust,
our children feel unsafe when at school.
Many lives have been lost, at terrible cost
Do we remember the Golden Rule?
"Love thy neighbor as thyself" no longer on shelf,
The book, "Love Thyself" is best seller, easily instilled.
Houses, drugs, money blown, more and more to own,
while some children sleep with their tummy never filled.
Drugs have become a game, our nation in shame.
Why is it legal for celebrities to imbibe?
Their noisy abuse keeps drug lanes in use,
while their friendly doc will gladly prescribe.
Words are our swords; truth cannot be ignored:
a powerful word often determines fate.
Lessons to teach, the whole world to reach.
for Earth and Humankind, we must not wait!
Wicked Witch of the West’s
Castle is now a home for unwed children, numbering twenty-three,
Children who are gloriously sock-loose and dance-e-bee.
The flying monkeys have turned into baby sitters, and lovers.
They protect the children from all mean witches and mothers.
The scarecrow and the lion come by about twice a week,
To make sure things are comfortable, they both do peek.
Tin-man runs a home for cairn terriers down the road.
He occasionally also saves an iguana, or a horny toad.
They get a face-time call from Kansas, USA, once a day.
Dorothy is in college now, so she does not have time to play.
But she picks up the ruby slippers and makes them shine,
Showing them she will never forget Oz was a fabulous time!
Lamp duly doused, what use more oil?
Thieves absconded, what use vigil?
Wooing women once vigour gone,
Building bridge water has when flown.

Poet’s note: Sanskrit has thousands of verses of wisdom called Subhashhitam. What use is adding oil, once the lamp is already doused? What use is vigilance once the thief has stolen things and gone? Once flood waters have flown, what use is building a dam? They are like wooing a woman when youth has duly gone. The transliteration of the Sanskrit verse follows:
Nirvaane pradeepe kim u taila daanam,
chaure gate kim u saavadhaanam |
Vayo gate kim vanitaa vilaasah,
payo gate kim khalu setu-bandhah ||
Wisdom is a gift from God
That anyone has endowed with it
It differs only in application.
Education enhance wisdom
To boost personality development
Develop the countries economy.
Leaders should use wisdom wisely
To profel the country to become first
First in GDP, industry, infrstructure and technology.
The followers use wisdom to create something
That would help self-sustenance, contribute income
To the government, maintain peace and buy things local.
We use wisdom for everyday's work
To apply it is critical for safety
To execute is fruitful to all the result.
Besides love, we use wisdom to choose someone for matrimony
Marriage is a lifelong relationship, so as thinking sanity
Life is full of choices, decision-making and compatibility.
Though full of direct knowledge of his fellows
Whose eyes and faces are a script humane;
Though voices sing to him like Lobos' cellos
Yet in lack and loss and woe this man remains..
In times gone by,the voice and face sufficed.
Poets read and we seized upon their lines;
But now a subtle tortures been devised
To write with pen and letters intertwined.
This man though wise like cat,or bear or owl,
Has failed in his acquaintance with the pen.
Nor does he have the words which politicians howl.
Nor can he read more than his list of sin.
For now the map is where the mind must dwell
And of reality,no-one can tell.
Exclamation marks rile up and excite Mrs. Ex.
She teaches seventh grade English and always suspects….
We are overdoing it when we use even on.
So I throw them in my paragraphs to have some fun.
She says they should be rare and exclusive to execute.
Her ideas are not mine, they simply do not compute.
Loving these fine exclamation marks, I make with my pen,
But she grades my papers, so a huge pickle I am in.
She says, “Please use them sparingly! Better yet, not at all.”
But what if I see a gigantic man-eating woman sixty feet tall?
Or a monster devouring a grade school and a shopping mall?
Mrs. Ex stares at me, in a kind of weird wordless stall.
What if you only used this mark once a day? She suggests.
Her suggestion annoys me, my pa and all of our guests.
Of course, new exclamation marks are all over the things that I write.
Infuriating out of Mrs. Ex, who ran away from her job last Tuesday night.
O just how much do you love Jesus?
Is He really 'your all and all and your
Everything?
Do you get 'goose bumps all over'
From singing psalms and worshiping
God instead of admiring four leaf
Clovers.
Then one of them, a lawyer asked Him a question, testing Him and saying,"

A woman recently had this vision on Amber's Cloud nine blessings' You
Tube channel: "They're going to lock us down again for three days and
they're going to make us all stay at home. But on the fourth day (of the lock
down) the rapture is going to happen and we are all going to home to be
with Jesus. But He didn't reveal to her when this next planned lock down
was going to be.
One man had a dream or an open vision and had a conversation with an angel,
"Jesus is coming very soon and He is already on His way...Tell everyone that
there's not that much time left."
My kids they have big plans for me
When I leave this side for eternity
They know I'm taking with me my soul
But with the rest they're opening up a store
They're going to take and stretch my skin
And make leather furniture out of it
But not before they shave all my hair
For the making of fuzzy wuzzy underwear
They'll nail my eyeballs to the wall
So I can keep watch on the store
In case they ever need a break
Or in the morning when they're running late
The rest they'll either throw away
Or set out on the dogs dinner plate
No matter what it is they do
I'm sure they'll put me to good use
I wonder if that's why they're fattening me up
So in the end it'll boost profits
This actually came about from my kids telling me when I die they're going to make a couch out of me...Living in Florida I hang out in the sun a lot! Lol!

He cannot undergo the usual neurosurgery.
Instead, something out of the ordinary is due.
A submarine is used with a team of surgeons for a crew.
They shrink the sub to less than microscopic size.
They enter the man’s body with this one condition.
There is a short time to accomplish the mission.
The crew has sixty minutes to reach where the injury lies.
More than one hour, and it will be too late.
The sub will enlarge again, and suffer a terrible fate.
