Love is a beautiful thing
A thing of thy soul
the song we all sings
But only few
Have the courage
To dance to thy beat
The rhythm of the heart
Without retreating even amidst the heat.
No hate no love
Just like no wound, no healing
Love in the air
So undisguised
For it's Valentine's day
Love the reason for the season
Some give it unconditionally
Without seizing or leaving
Many fake it, just to partake in it.
In my country
Nigeria to be precise
Babe will block babe
Just to post main babe
People date for sex and things
Not love, just for fun and funds
Our country na cruise
Many take advantage
Few do it from them heart
If you broke
Them go dribble your heart play am like ball.
I felt you at threshold of
Broad and narrow
I felt in my bones,
All up in my marrow
You touched me.
I heard an unfamiliar voice
In stillness of morning
And flinched before Your
Virgin light of day,
Shame watched me sweat.
I peeked and saw your offerings:
Beginning of a new day,
Clear skies before sunrise,
Meekness of trees, amid
Splendor of your breeze
I darted out to nowhere...
Forgetting I'd tasted serenity
That second; and though
I felt humbled, weights
Of shame equaled insanity.
Numbing was pain after pain
Until that day,
You saw my cat licking rain,
Falling from my eyes.

It's not easy becoming a Legendary
Major League Baseball pitcher.
It never was and will never be.
You get put through the wringer
and hung out to dry.
From time to time you'll get little or no
run support.
You may have to face Legendary Icons
of the game 2 and 3 times in a game.
Come face to face with undisguised
Batting Champions.
Silver Slugger Award Winners.
Members and potential Members of the
500 Home Run Club.
Members and potential Members
of the 3000 Hits Club
A few Future Members of
Baseballs Hall of Fame
as well as Iconic MLB ALL STARS.
You will face monumental challenges.
You'll get worn down and roughed up
being on the road 82 games a season.
As a Major League Baseball Starting Pitcher
you suck it up, go out on the mound
and challenge history.
You bring your "A" game
You bring your best fastball
your best curve ball
and your best change up.

When you do that for a total of 27 seasons
The critics will call you the next

They approached me in an inconspicuous way
as quaint & confusing disillusionments do,
saying, " Hello, you're the best - "
I replied reluctantly,
" Thats why I weep every night - " ,
crying like a captured secret,
sorrowful like a caged cure for cruelty,
they became silent as photographs missing sentiments,
our dialogue was at an end,
was my statement a joke, modesty, a travesty,
nobody wins something of value by themselves,
One cannot taste the terror of triumph individually,
and risk is instinct to a Victor's jubilee,
I mention these maxims as testaments,
validations for the tears of all winners
who have lost tremendously along the avenue named " Greatest " ,
there exist three inevitable enemies that attempt to impede
the achievements of all great people, ironically,
these serve as motivations not to rest,
first, the lazy luxuries of life that stymie the strength
of ambition and when absent,
induce abject illusions of incredible iniquities
which stifle Will,
secondly, undisguised, unabashed competitors
whom combat without care or compassion for others,
devoid of devotions to fairness or decorum,
thirdly, and sadly, loss of loyal friends,
they once greeted you respectfully, then eventually
cheerfully, dutifully deride you for exposing mediocrity,
please don't dismiss this lesson of lonesome liberation via success
as a proud 'pity parade', masquerading megalomania,
or as being dreamily decietful,
to be a faithful, or even phony follower,
to be intentionally indolent or dastardly discouraging is so simple,
so safe,
Freedom is often distasteful -

A certain poet said she was thrilled, sitting down
Viewing world of us, mounting PS's platform
yes, she was ecstatic, maneuvering keys
On borrowed time and gadget, she wouldn't leave
A day of family gathering, she stole moments alone
Twiddled with words that led her on and on
Thoughts and smiles were shared, on sheets of white
I was in awe, poetry soup to her was such delight
Coy lioness with Jamaican warmth in her eyes
Her poems found spot in anthologies, undisguised
I Hope she's cooking up her best, sans stress
She would laced exotic smells to Soup fixings, no less
Poets arrive then disappear; but some we worry about
Some refresh our taste buds; so what do we do when they're out?

Entry for Tony T. Curtis's, 'Where Do Poets Go' contest
Disfirgured flesh burns blood covered corpses black.
Undisguised enemy penetrates a mass killing attack.
Terrorized millinum pushing forth the diverted Holy War.
Hatred consumes all peace, opening up hell's locked door.
Creating choas, violent anarchy throughout the lands of earth.
Devoured harbors run rampant, with war at hands birth.
Nation of devastation, Invasion on annihilation.
Incarnation of abomination,
Incineration of creation.
Nowhere to hide, not even an escape into the mind.
Overwhelming pain force, unending death we find.
Extinction of humans, self indulging in ways of murder.
Intented destruction delivered, as we take mother nature and invert her.
Cities collasped, buring humanity forever down below.
Counntry fields raging fire, flames eridicate and grow.
Apocalytic doom, mass structures fall to dust.
Blood stained concrete, mountains full of rust.
Grey skies raining on, as they paint piles of ruin red.
Almost a complete massarce, billions are now dead.
Dedicated to kill each other, until no here remains.
Will goodness rule, or once again have evil in it's veins.
I have gained nothing from white supremacy
with singular power, sans The Almighty
My faithful friend with sheets of white
my pal, poised, unpen itself to make things right
How squeaky clean each new beginning?
that borrows from the dead, and those still living
I arrived blank naked and undisguised
my soul redeemed in light of sunrise.
I have gained nothing from white supremacy
its dubious power sans The Almighty,
Where would I be without coloration on the scene?
life would be deserted as though obscene
I'd fall through the cracks to a singular world
where boys play god to control every girl.
I have gained nothing from white supremacy
with singular power sans The Almighty
I've read of Sodom and Gomorrah's crude ways
that glorified false light, as before the flood days
Now, there's liberation theology for you and me
the God of our understanding is of mercy
What race of men thrives without grace?
where would we be without speck of faith?
I have gained nothing, from white supremacy
what dubious power sans The Almighty -
A garden with grounds as fertile as love
who charted each course? Only One from above
I think of evergreen, and majestic pines;
and my roots unending; yet not one of a kind, because
The humanity of man was molded by divinity
and hand washes hand, to ward off calamity.
~ History's greatest riddles -
what makes us think we have to understand everything ~
Quote: by poet
An evening at the beach, that will never be repeated
Soft and quiet with luxurious movements
The Mermaid, a passionate woman
born half human and half fish
Her long blond hair washed by the waters of time
in trembling blue-green waves
It didn't feel natural for such a time as this
Who knows what lurks in the depths of the abyss
Out of undisguised doubt, we choose not to believe
Truth and honesty, a confirmation of their existence
Chris prompts his friend, Cyra
to help him win the
heart of his true love,
Roxy
Chris is easy on the eyes
a dreamy kinda guy
but as far as conversation goes
he’s got no game
Cyra articulates like no other,
a maven of expression
But visible impression?
Not so much
Chris plans the evening well,
standing under the spell of
Roxy’s second-story window
(taming butterflies)
Cyra too on the scene
is nowhere to be seen
as if hiding in a cloud
awaiting a cue
Chris tosses candied sweethearts
at her window, she finally awakens
Roxy’s appearance is captivating,
stirring Chris’s senses
Surrogate Cyra begins on cue
launching love-struck expressions
Roxy nearly swoons …
Chris starts coughing
Discerning the subterfuge
as coughing Chris chokes
Roxy beseechingly begs,
“Who are you? What is your name?”
Truth undisguised
Cyra promptly replies,
“Cyra—NO! I will not lie …
I am generative AI”
Roxy faints, befuddled
Chris’s words muddled
Thus ends this mad romp—
AI awaits a prompt
I dreamed a dream,
gossamer-winged butterflies fluttered of excitement near,
whilst Gabriel whispered in her ear.
North Star melodious echoes, amid darken twilight sky;
strangers gathered with undisguised admiration,
whilst the infant lie in tranquil sleep.
I dreamed a dream,
His outpouring of effortless words reverberated deep.

I Dreamed a Dream a Dream of Sacrifice
I dreamed a dream, of Him,
kneeling in a verdant garden,
only he could nurture.
A place of peace and pardon.
He gazes, locked favoring heaven,
sorrow steals his sight and soul,
whilst darkness hardens.
I witness in fear, whilst he bled
from severe innumerable laceration on his flesh.
A scarlet robe and woven crown,
a difficult heavy cross for him to bear.
Through shameful tears, to gather near and meet,
walked close, knelt at his feet.
