Another terrorist atrocity has happened again
This time it was Barcelona and that my friends is Spain
My heart felt love goes to those affected
These terrorists need found and dejected

Stay alert everyone they may strike anywhere
Be vigilant and stay aware
They have hit London and Paris
They call themselves ISIS

They have tried to install fear to us all
But their the only ones who will fall
They will not win their religious fight
Peace and tranquillity that’s what’s right

There tactics have been very similar
Killing, hurting with a van or a car
Driving at speed in built up areas
Targeting innocent bystanders

These people really are cowardly
I just wish that they would see
They have been totally brain washed
Reasons and thoughts turned to slosh

Sending healing thoughts to all people there
From the western world we really care
The terrorist should be behind a large fence
For indiscriminate acts of murder and violence

You are the scurvy of this earth
Your radical beliefs buried under turf
You can not see that you won’t win
What you do is a really a Sin

So ISIS we won’t take it anymore
Face up to facts you’ve lost your war
Go back home and leave our shores
Violence and murder we don’t adore

Premium Member Remember me

No one can forever soothe a soul,
as all memories evaporate like sunrise dew,
but remember me
when mist congregates at dawn.
Recognise my ghost,
when the fresh breeze brushes your lips.

I will be hiding in the khaki hues of nature,
from the first bloom,
to the last thorn,
to the last leaf,
as my spirit is the essence of four seasons,
so remember me among the 'forget me nots,'
and the scents that bring a pause.

When you paint your masterpiece of dahlia,
don't ignore the moon gazing in awe.
Unless you have given him a new name.
In the tranquillity of twilight,
notice me beaming, surrounded by lanterns.
Unless you no longer recognise my eyes.

In sun searing reveries,
as turquoise waves soften sandy ripples,
listen to spirits whispering our lyrics,
and remember me when adorning lilac fibres,
which you stripped from my chest.

When thunder knocks at your door,
and lightning flashes at your windows,
will you remember me
in the humidity after the monsoon?
When the path is dark,
and the journey turbulent,
will you commemorate me in you sighs?

I cannot return the souvenirs,
gifted to me from your words,
nor erase double edged metaphors,
where love's reflection, once glittered,
so when your muse is lifeless,
relive our recollections
without the need for ink.

Upon the arrival of silence,
when your hands have nothing to hold,
place them together
and remember me
in the sacredness we once shared.

Simple Sunday Musing.

Premium Member Day Break

The sun slowly rises over the horizon
casting its rays turning night to day.
Chasing away the lingering darkness
revealing the hills and shadow cast valleys.

Details become more apparent showing
the pretty flowers and stately trees.
With lake's waters glistening brightly
reflecting the beaming sun rays.

Peace of day now shattered by
the raucous chorus of crows.
As dipping down they fly
mugging the other birds.

Soon scattering at gunfire
from the farmers crop scarer's.
Joyful tunes now abound
As song birds sing out their hearts

Welcoming dawn's warm rays
hustle and bustle as people awake
and tranquillity slips away
as dawn becomes full day.

Bridge Over Troubled Water

If at any time in your life
you feel the desire and the
need for someone to be
a source of comfort and a
friend in all situations

I'm always around for you
sailing on the waters of life
right through the darkest hour just
behind you in fair or foul weather

Like a log on the river banks I will be
a path across for you just like a
bridge stretched from bank to bank
over the raging turbulent river
troubled by the wind churning the
water into a mass of liquid fury

I am right there at your side and
will always be there for you to
ease all of your burdens and
your fears and to comfort your
mind to peace and tranquillity

Prayers of the First Man

“Lord of Light, with no hostility
Forge me as a sword of your tranquillity

To the kingdom of war, let me give a dove
Where there is hatred, let me give love
Where there is pain, let me offer forgiveness
Where there is depression, joyfulness
Where there is despair, let me bring hope and sight
In the empire of darkness, pure light”

The First Man, Wise Friend and Warrior of Might
Went down to the five kingdoms of night

“Unsurpassed Divinity of Light
May I have love as well as faith in the height
It is in giving that I receive
In sowing faith that I am graced to believe
Through loving my sons, I am loved with much rife
In pardoning, we are pardoned without strife
In death, we are reborn to eternal life”

With that, the tyrant prince was bound forever
Turn to the Light, so that your fetters may sever

I was inspired by meditating on the Prayer of St Francis of Assisi.

Whispers of Angels

 Eschewing the catastrophic world
towards a tranquil place, I headed;
The heavenly aroma spread around
transported my soul into a place astound

A place where the music was born
A place where dawn chorus begins
A place where the earth is adorned
A place where tranquillity just exists
A place where the purity still persists
A place where negativity resists to step in

The still water reflecting the moon round
Kindled the pleasing memories abound
Hues of cherubic green everywhere
I heard the whispers of Angels in the air

An angel sang lullaby
An angel turned into a damselfly
An angel narrated stories to the babies
An angel noted down the dandelion wishes
A cupid was busy uniting the bride and groom
Another one was playing under the mushroom

Haven't been to a place like this before
Never ever tried to open a mystical mind door
Glad I did it now at least
For my soul witnessed an idyllic place at last

Premium Member Xmas- the Baby In the Manger

"Though passing through sad and sombre times, let us be gladdened by the joy and peace Xmas brings"- by Poet

She felt the kicks, this time more intense
A mother’s primal instinct told her thus;
‘Can travel no further, need a place
To rest and ease your birth throes’

Mary and Joseph at last spotted a manger.
Temporarily secured from imminent danger
Sheltered from the gaze of the ruminating herd,
She delivered the babe when darkness still hovered

There lay on the hay, baby Jesus haloed in glory
The one who came to script a new story

Singing with cymbals on that wintry night
His birth was announced by angels bright
“Glory to God on high and peace on earth”
Its intonations creating rising waves of mirth

The shepherds, getting that message divine,
Came in hordes to behold the face benign
They knelt down and worshipped the King of kings
While seraphs hovered around on petite angel wings

On every Xmas, His nativity is duly remembered
And in all corners of the world it is joyously celebrated

On that night the star spangled sky glowed radiant
Sending out a light- luminous and lambent
All was bright and calm that serene night
A rare tranquillity drowning every nook in delight

Waving a magic wand, he has come to reign
To liberate mankind from the bondage of sin
Across the noise and strife of today’s weary world
A festive scene of celestial joy is unfurled

The peace of Xmas, as it sifts through the air
Fills each and every heart with overwhelming cheer

The Whispers of the Mind

The door to uncertainty,
The perplexities of today,
The unknowns of tomorrow—
We step through the door that stands before us.

The darkness of today,
The complexities of daylight,
The tranquillity of midnight—
We endeavour to catch as much catch can.

The promises of tomorrow,
The pendulum of the mind,
The joy of belief,
The mysteries that lie deep within.

The turbulence of the mind,
The struggles of the gifted,
The journey to redemption—
We share our stories.

The resilience of the inspired,
The gloom of existence,
The comfort of hospitality,
The revitalization of the weary.

The existence of the supernatural,
The tales of the sacred,
The teachings of the spiritual,
The unveiling of the hidden.

The knowledge of the lesser-known,
The trailing tendrils of the night,
The understanding of silence,
The awareness of the unspoken.

Premium Member Town Called Tranquillity

I'm in the town called Tranquility absorbing the sun
Holidaying am I amidst the valley of said sins
Such joyous commotions viewing children's fun
Seeing happiness abound in wondrous spin
But it's the nature of being here, knowing it's begun
Cotton wool clouds caught by grayed demons be
It's just a matter of moments that they engulf all we

Next morning I awaken to skies of deadened grey
In the distance funnels of evil rotate their dread
Swirling spiral vortexes never shy in their display
Their ignorance now shared delivered imbed
Such her power no prisoners she now portrays
Overturned cars, houses adrift trees now stripped
If such were to be human on a drug fueled trip

God, build me some mountains to surround this plain
Allow said sins to be attracted to forever dissipate
Never to allow grief as such, these tremendous pains
Their height being there simply closes the vortex gate
Lets learn from said angers that they never will again
I'm in the town called Tranquility absorbing the sun
Holidaying where am I, seeing parasols in lightly spun

Premium Member Consciousness Correction

Yesterday,
when conscious slept,
anger was my shield,
fear my faithful sword.

When hatred contaminated my heart,
tears ached for tranquillity,
polluted in guilt from selfish greed.

Life can be a disaster waiting to occur,
leaving you in despair gasping for air,
suffocating your sighs with crippling changes,
due to disorientation in imagining reality.

I've always been in an internal war,
fighting the two voices in my head.
You can't kill someone who died before birth,
so not every battle is worth fighting for,
yet I was always in envy of peace.

I want to disappear sometimes,
bid a secret farewell to the shadows that pursue,
but I'm afraid of diving into the unknown.

Maybe I'm an imposter,
maybe I'm just a Gemini
everyday, I am different,
a multitude of personalities,
a creative charming chameleon.

In times of fragility and frustration,
I wish I was a secret to society,
but I don't want to be alone tonight,
so I'm soul searching for a love unspoken,
not cursed with deafening screams.
In solitude, overthinking is a poison,
so I turn to unfulfilled prophecies -
to bring me back to life.

I've always had an aversion for perversion,
become a nemesis to prejudice.
Spirits taught me to 'be my own universe.'
to fly to the sky, wave ego goodbye,
so my flaws make me shine more.
There is no shame in vulnerability.
No embarrassment in slaying pride.

In the angst of anxiety,
paralyzed by self-possessed sadness,
I set out finding sincerity,
my coincidental half -
but you have always been inside me.

When I finally opened my eyes,
I felt alive.

Lust is a mute assassin,
a terminal sickness.
Love is like a fever,
it leaves you speechless.
I used to idolise silence,
but now I'm a slave to consciousness.

Oh my sentient soul,
we are unrhymed verses,
our lives a living rough draft.
Decorate me with your ink,
complete me with your conclusion,
as you are the music playing on loop.

Let them say we are mad as we dance,
lost in lyrics only we can hear.
