Magic of a Summer morning
Warm, velvety air gently caresses you,
Sweet dew cools and soothes.
The sky is awakening with rays of a golden sun,
While happy birds are chirping their delight for the new day.
In our garden thirsty plants are stretching,
Blooms appreciate the softly cooling morning dew,
Standing straight and tall to show their beauty.
Bees as well as bugs are busy with their morning chores,
Garden spiders are the Landlord of a glistening web,
All covered with Diamonds that sparkle in the rising sun.
A tree frog is squatting under a big Zucchini leaf,
Watching with big eyes as flies
Tantalize him by being careless in his presence.
The Summer air is still, cool and light,
Making it feel welcome.
It will get warmer and heavier as the day grows,
But the morning is magic!

Oh you know the type—
the orchid woman
a cosmopolitan who cosmo sips
between snips of gist
her charisma a starship —collides
with your star-full eyes
supernova for Casanova
her pouty lips knit a glamour-mag smile
rows of sugar-white pearls
strung shiny straight
behind wet-red slicks of a Revlon stick
—cherry-juice bait dilates your want to taste
orchid woman’s glamorized mouth
for the masses to idolize
for many to fantasize
for her to tantalize
and advertise
there’s no need to compromise
with you
or your penny-candy conversation—
when beauty is legal tender
why invest in a waste of words?
ooh, orchid woman is w-i-l-d
an exotic sun-tanned narcotic
erotic her despotic bloom
quixotic your contemplation;
your entangled-limbs-expectation
that this frilly filly blooms just for you
and oh! just look how the honey makers buzz
watch the money-makers spend their sums—
worker bees blinded by her blonde neon
fall in her wake…
or maybe ‘diamond pro’s’ bling
stings and wrings their eyes
…who cares who falls..
when mere red rose adorations
and sticky sap Hallmark incantations
bear not the fruits of 24-karat donations—
Mmm! Mmm!
her traipse does shake like mango jelly sweet
orchid woman’s long-stemmed catwalk walk
full-rounded bouncy-buoyant racy-lacy-ecstasy
yup.. a thoroughbred— she’ll have you ridin’ high
to your credit and blame
you won’t feel her stiletto tips
when she diva-gold-digs ya
as nothing more than a runway-ramp
all slinky-strut-hips
and stay-the-night-vamp
till fly girl wields her strappy high-heels
in a rhythmical click-clack
all over the next middle-age stage
indeed! orchid woman
a hot-house hottie
fussy stuffy lil hussy—
...too much water?
….not enough water?!
oh no! she’s wilted—
sniffle.. snivel.. “where did I go wrong?!!”
mm-hmm.. high maintenance is s-u-c-h a turn on…
yeah… orchid woman is w-i-l-d (eye roll..)
Winter’s Passion’d Heat
“Snowflakes gather in crystalline drfitings”
Lifting your hair, kissing the nape of your neck
Warm flesh waits on tippy toe desires
Lips brush skin, lower beyond silver chain clasp
Sighs slip past moon shadow echoes
“Frost bitten warnings fuel whistling winds”
Candlelight flickers in illumined frenzy
Strong hands caress velvet curves, moving
Satin skin excites at the touch, shivering
Mouths meet across milky shoulders
“Frost coatings mingle, drafty windows squeal”
Reaching delicate fingers, soothing touches
Passion emanates from quivered partings
Honey drippings moisten, sweet syrup yearnings
Whispered moans tantalize, moments ignite
“Wind chimes sing frantically behind icicle curtains”
Down pillow yearnings, grasped, held
Eyes look back, smiles meet motions
Held closer, breathless exhales on dreams exposed
Deeper finds the pristine moment
“Algid gusts wail through frigid echoed alleyways”
My name, loudly sung, enchanted nirvana
Faster still, bodies in charged friction
Two become one, senses explode, flooding oasis
Eruptions quake bodies in perspired heap
“Arctic blast pierces sweltering pleasures”
Ecstasy sings in midnight harmonies
Melodic as the polar pulsations beyond
Numbed in devotion’s destinations
Wondrous snowy white blankets chill the world
“As our love provides winter’s passione’d heat”
Good night soupers.
You're being fallacious, saying I still loved her
Accusing me of falsity to prey on emotions
When it was really you, whom I truly admired
But you ran for the exit, way before we tried.
When I first met her, in a chance encounter
Dazzle me she did, with brilliant scarlet colors
Sharing with me how deeply she yearned more.
Charmed by her visage, I let feelings ride
Being curious to agnize, why did she tantalize
Flirting with my eyes, resting on my vibes
Floating on my air, charming my universe,
Till I saw him with her, inciting me to bewilder
Who was that man, who held her in embrace
Taking boldly my place, while kissing her face.
As I felt all my oxygen eviscerate from lungs
Spinning like a vortex, my emotions whirled
Taking a plunge into abyss of the unknown.
I didn't see it then, this is how my story ends
Perhaps it's best to skip reasoned arguments,
Especially those love doesn't comprehend
For in matters of heart, logic seldom helps.

Eight word challenge 7-- by John Hamilton
Agnize = to be fully aware or cognizant
Oh, this life has pierced my soul many times,
thrust me into bottomless pits;
impaled and bleeding- this girl has plummeted down,
falling, tumbling, immersed 'til I am sinking.
Life has thrown the dagger,
the plunge is deep.
Oh, death has left me so gutted and lost,
I have wept forlorn and grieving;
have asked why, why has this destiny been written,
I want an eraser- I will change my own fate.
Why life must you always,
eviscerate.
Oh, life sometimes you have sent me adrift,
sent me on journey's misleading;
given me false, flawed and corrupt information,
erroneous- leaving me hallucinating.
Life you have given facts
so fallacious.
Oh, life you have left me in a whirlwind,
on swirling, twisting gauzy threads;
but instead of down I am spiraling on up,
there is this cyclone- in the mazes of my mind.
I hold a tendril in,
a vortex twirl.
Oh, life amaze and show me the beauty,
tease me with the puzzle of you;
rattle, ruffle, and entangle your mystery,
this girl- is ready to be bemused and bedazzled.
Life I am awestruck,
bewilder me.
Oh, life I have this great thirsty yearning,
do not torture and torment me;
for I want only to enchant you with my charm.
I forgive you for the bottomless pit journey.
Life I am in the mood,
to tantalize.
Oh, life you may find me an odd, weird girl,
I like things just a tad bizarre;
yes I can be strange and a little eccentric,
for example- I like wearing old vintage clothes.
Life I am questioning,
and curious.
Oh, life make me a sweet crimson flower,
flame-colored deep in a garden;
dress me up in fury and flaming red petals,
I wish to be- a fallen lady just growing.
Life make me a beauty,
dressed in scarlet.

First Place
Hope is elusive, sometimes sliding by in a river of grass,
faintly smiling, during the daytime.
Bushel baskets of inspiration gathered in minutes, waiting
for a tiny signal you are ready, all you have to do is wink.
Determined dream lighters collect what we need to ignite
the fire of opportunity, and sizzle our imagination as we slumber.
Infusing the exact formula of skills necessary to tantalize
us to take the chance of a lifetime, to write that novel, to
show the masses what we are about when we are ready.
We leap out of bed with eager anticipation in the mornings,
ready for the optimism and wisdom which has inspired us to
do our best today. Not fully understanding why or how, but
positive we can do it now.
The rejuvenation and renewal process which has been working
on our soul-level during the night can be attributed to angels of the highest
order, messengers from God, in case you wondered.
Now get out there and do your best today, amaze yourself, be the
you whom you have always dreamed possible. Today is your day!
Waking I wander where did those happy days go.
My New Year resolution is to shed those unnecessary thoughts.
My Comforter will guide me and wants this for me.
Patiently He answers my unspoken prayer.
And childlike I stomp them where they lie.
They will tantalize me no more as I crush them.
And I play with those toys in the dirt where i was free.
Mother calls me to dinner and washes my hands and face.
Tomorrow I will clean up the mess I left.
I need to rid myself of the filth.
I wear my past like new clothes that are stiff.
They need to be washed and dried and softened.
The doctor will have me lie on her couch and prattle.
She will take me to the cleaners and steam the past.
Sitting at the top of the stairs and listening.
With my tears running famously and glistening.
I hear the television and you slowly drink your beer.
Mom waitresses while father and his greed cracks another year.
Tomorrow I will clean up the mess I left.
I need to rid myself of the filth.
I hear you sing the song as I sit on the doctors couch.
Crying and wonder if it is my fault and the rope is lowered.
The strangers hand reach for me and they hold me tight.
Bathe me with whispers not to tell every night.
"Silence is the virtue of wise,
The words within you won't let you rise
Emotions are worthless to analyze
Pour it all down there, so as to paralyze"
Said they, in order to tantalize
But the voice within me, keeps mocking & knocking,
Interrogating me within the bars of strokes, continuously clocking
Commanding me to ruminate all around, all the while
Be it Catastrophic inside, but on the surface ought not to deny a smile
What is silence without words averting verity?
What is reticence without thoughts fighting for clarity?
The wordless world might sound great
As if a blind date
Upholding the so called threat
Still wanna debate? No other option rather than to wait!
The words wrestling inside will create a mystery
For which you'll yearn and discern
That grasping voice you dislike will be void someday
For which you'll crave and burn
That idiotic laugh making no sense is on it's way to halt
But, you'll be on the way to find miles to return
You'll be on the way to take a U-turn
But,
Ohh dear dearest!
It soon will be too late to learn
It's no longer an issue to concern
Cause, the disturbing is on it's way to Saturn!
Sky looks beautiful with clouds
azure skyscape impressive though,
starlit sky illumines forests of night.
Short or long, verdant shade soothes
a tree, single or in clusters pleases.
A spring or meandering stream
carries trillions of pooled droplets
yet, a drop of water slakes thirst.
Flowing water-ways jubilantly join
emerge finally as a mighty river.
Uncles, aunts, grandparents cared
children loved lullabies, stories told
enjoying every moment of the phase.
Parents happily shared and cared for all
a family stood firm as a vast empire.
A radiant planet may mesmerize
yet, constellations overwhelm all,
galaxies tantalize faraway humanity.
Segregation slices, roam rootless
self-centered folks rudderless!
My heart submitted to no one,
A completion of self with another was a fight to shame a proud mother
And still as the waves crash against the rocks,
You sway against me, push upon me- rough and waylay
My rough edges are flattened by the fire of your foam
Intriguing droplets- molecules of mental, murderous muse
I scream inside, delighted--affrighted, by your hearteous sight
Numbing the tingles that used to tantalize my mind
And still, I held on to what I was made for
To push away, to shy away, to stay...and to adore
A companion with no dominion upon a wafted shore
The sun often beats heavily on me when your tides are low
It is as if the love you so passionately offer is all for show
Only to descend into the sands of "NEVER LEAVE ME ALONE"
I bid a strong goodbye to the hardened, rough surface of my bind
It is time you see my smoother sides-- where the sun sets straight behind
For though you were rough against me and over me still...
Your calmer tides have scorched my pride and mellow-drained my will
My heart submitted to no one
Not even to God
Still in past tense do I blame the one and only sun
The sun that beat on me day by day with passion in its rays
Sets behind and still I'm blind to the hope of better days...
