A Sinner Like Me

a sinner like me
I know God recognise
a sinner like me
cos the world is polluted
by lies
In the rainbow of illusion
intelligent human structure
maps of manipulation
in aim of control and
that bleed pains
 in the heart of
a sinner like me

a sinner like me
I know God can hear
a sinner like me
cos our crimes are simple
our crimes are submissiveness
humble obedience respect
believe trust worship and worst
of it all silence
we are always in the front line
yet it hide us no good
and wen I cry for justice
i wonder why
 God will not hear
a sinner like me

a sinner like me
I know only God
can protect
a sinner like me
 am crying now cos
i know I will smile latter
in the days of destiny
the future hold a gift
it profit us a reality
of hope
in our struggles of survival
yet
it has cost us Africans
a lot of lost
so when words of truth
drop through the pen
In chase of humanity
if not God
I wonder who else can
protect the reality of
the dreams of
a sinner like me

Clear Chaos

Inspired by the spaces in time that I can't remember
Filling them with maybes and dreams
wishing they were clearer
Finding myself sad
Writing about memories of a distant past
My past must have been a reflection of downcast

Erased memories written and told, but
essentially lies formed from the illusion of ties to negative thoughts
Ultimately I've created lines of words on subjects
I've never dreamed of being taught

Somehow through all the imagining and complexities
of finding out my worth
I remember the first time that my poetry gave birth
It was like I was a beautiful and as fruitful as the earth

I began to experiment and reinvent the old days
while still finding new ways to deliver the message
that we living in the last days
My purpose is to inform and to be a discrete slave
Faithful and free

Im from the same place where hip hop met poetry
and where scripture is the basis for spirituality
So any falsehood ye feeds me
I can filter right through thee
Still blindly recording thoughts of
misery and deceptions and betrays and let downs and acceptance
Life is full of it's little quirks and antics

I've learned how to be when I've felt let down or disappointed
I've learned how to be when I've been embarrassed or unwanted

I give birth to another chance
I graciously reside into a humble ball of submissiveness
I reside in the beauty of subtle solitude
while blatantly exuding love
The goal is repentence

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Bearing Witness Unto Me Your Truth

October 18 Scripture Meditations Based on John 18-19

Key Verse – John 18:37 … Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR BEARING WITNESS UNTO ME YOUR TRUTH

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-prominence
To enlighten me about wisdom’s prevalence
Thru Your Word’s teaching insistence
Toward salvation’s security-providence against doubt’s emergence.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-assurance
To protect me from ignorance-furtherance
Thru Your precepts’ preaching perseverance
Toward godliness’ work performance against falsity’s endurance.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-forces
To perfect me along instructions’ resources
Thru Your statutes’ establishing success
Toward humility’s learning experiences against rebellion curses.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-steadfastness
To uphold me with standards’ trustworthiness
Thru Your testimonies’ affirming righteousness
Toward holiness’ fruitful practice against selfish haughtiness.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-authority
To guide me around Scriptures’ certainty
Thru Your laws’ controlling sovereignty
Toward submissiveness’ sacrifice against worldliness’ affinity.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-light
To brighten me inside fellowship’s delight
Thru Your promises’ radiating sight
Toward stewardship’s faithfulness against backsliding blight.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-goal
To direct me atop servanthood’s pole
Thru Your purposes’ transforming role
Toward spirituality’s endeavour-fervency against barrenness-hole.

The First Time

A brooding forest illuminated by a wishful recitation,
Errantly proffered, for woodland creature's, to savor,
A humble soul, who is slow in the course of courting,
A supportive procedure, of airy words to practice by.

Nimble eyes brashly grazed the overworn paper,
Promising to thoughts sake, of multiple repeats,
Apprehensive importuned by that thawing hour,
As the momentous occurrence, developed itself.

Yon floweret holds neath dangling mistletoe,
Her fervent fragrance burst to exude scents,
Ventured out eagerly entice the staled nose,
Urbane sweet-smelling embrace a new year.

The sweet nothings poured first from his lips,
To tendered labyrinths to absorb and exist in,
The elder minds remember and youth fickles,
Naught this brave budding cause for he begs.

So he gathers the courage to submissiveness,
With both hands behind his back and yield . . .
. . . fingers crossed, he leans in towards her too,
favors a kiss to be in-kind, she willfully responds.

. . . two as one . . . for the first time.

July 8 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Isaiah 13-16

Key Verse – Isaiah 14:3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY REST GIVER

Lord God, You are my rest Giver
for my refreshing sanctification
Thank You for forgiving my confessed sin and transgression---
I repent from disobeying You, leading to my destruction
Help me please to seek You always for my transformation.

Lord God, You are my rest Giver
for my jubilant settlement
Thank You for cleansing my spoilage by world’s defilement---
I repent from beautifying myself with pride’s embellishment
Help me please to dwell in Your meekness-filled contentment.

Lord God, You are my rest Giver
for my cleaving to Your truthfulness
Thank You for freeing my heart from captivity of deceitfulness---
I repent from hindering Your will by my stubbornness
Help me please to yield to You with earnest submissiveness.

Lord God, You are my rest Giver
for my strength’s covering
Thank You for checking my carnality’s selfish soaring---
I repent from going into wilderness-wandering
Help me please to rise up against shallow surrendering.

Lord God, You are my rest Giver
for my blissful serenity
Thank You for subduing my flight toward worldly vanity---
I repent from failing due to my choice of futility
Help me please to escape from temptation’s tenacity.

Lord God, You are my rest Giver
for my rejuvenated stand
Thank You for propping up my faith by Your plan so grand---
I repent from turning back from Your command
Help me please to rejoice in fulfilling Your demand.

Lord God, You are my rest Giver
for my establishment upon Your throne of mercy
Thank You for answering my prayer of supplication’s fervency---
I repent from neglecting stewardship’s faithful persistency
Help me please to depend on Your kindness’ constancy.

giant hand clamps her mouth tightly shut
she does not even try to speak
has traded life for love
but is this it?
is this it?

She dares not speak
her truth
her ideas
her thoughts
Is she dreaming that she had them?
Possibly.
The fear of making him angry keeps her perpetually silent.
She doubts that her children knows she has thoughts.

She has not seen her family of origin for over ten years.
They have never met her three children.
They would be shocked at her submissiveness.
Her old self would not even recognize her.
Fear keeps her silent.
He says she can leave.
He will keep the children.
Fear he will start hurting them next keeps her here.
And so she stays.
Chained to the man she loves.
