July 8 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Isaiah 13-16 Key Verse – Isaiah 14:3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve. LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY REST GIVER Lord God, You are my rest Giver for my refreshing sanctification Thank You for forgiving my confessed sin and transgression--- I repent from disobeying You, leading to my destruction Help me please to seek You always for my transformation. Lord God, You are my rest Giver for my jubilant settlement Thank You for cleansing my spoilage by world’s defilement--- I repent from beautifying myself with pride’s embellishment Help me please to dwell in Your meekness-filled contentment. Lord God, You are my rest Giver for my cleaving to Your truthfulness Thank You for freeing my heart from captivity of deceitfulness--- I repent from hindering Your will by my stubbornness Help me please to yield to You with earnest submissiveness. Lord God, You are my rest Giver for my strength’s covering Thank You for checking my carnality’s selfish soaring--- I repent from going into wilderness-wandering Help me please to rise up against shallow surrendering. Lord God, You are my rest Giver for my blissful serenity Thank You for subduing my flight toward worldly vanity--- I repent from failing due to my choice of futility Help me please to escape from temptation’s tenacity. Lord God, You are my rest Giver for my rejuvenated stand Thank You for propping up my faith by Your plan so grand--- I repent from turning back from Your command Help me please to rejoice in fulfilling Your demand. Lord God, You are my rest Giver for my establishment upon Your throne of mercy Thank You for answering my prayer of supplication’s fervency--- I repent from neglecting stewardship’s faithful persistency Help me please to depend on Your kindness’ constancy.
