A Sinner Like Me
a sinner like me
I know God recognise
a sinner like me
cos the world is polluted
by lies
In the rainbow of illusion
intelligent human structure
maps of manipulation
in aim of control and
that bleed pains
in the heart of
a sinner like me
a sinner like me
I know God can hear
a sinner like me
cos our crimes are simple
our crimes are submissiveness
humble obedience respect
believe trust worship and worst
of it all silence
we are always in the front line
yet it hide us no good
and wen I cry for justice
i wonder why
God will not hear
a sinner like me
a sinner like me
I know only God
can protect
a sinner like me
am crying now cos
i know I will smile latter
in the days of destiny
the future hold a gift
it profit us a reality
of hope
in our struggles of survival
yet
it has cost us Africans
a lot of lost
so when words of truth
drop through the pen
In chase of humanity
if not God
I wonder who else can
protect the reality of
the dreams of
a sinner like me
