China Clipper

Listen and you can hear the wind whisper
the name of a lost ship and its skipper.
The wind’s name is Favonius, winged god
His sotto voce is but a whimper.

Gentle breeze doth tell of China Clipper
Bound back toward London by English shipper
Lost from sight ten days out of Adelaide
for all those involved a real fear gripper.

Fast Lammermuir was used in the tea trade,
Built by W. Pile’s Company twas then made
Clipper’s capacity a thousand tons
With errant compass windjammer now strayed

Off course by three degrees vessel now runs,
till Mate’s use of sextant now captain stuns
Ocean current is also a surprise
This phenomenon Captain Bell now shuns

The current wants to go counter clockwise
Loss of ship’s control is what this implies
Sails unable to give pull to the right
though steersman at wheel with strength vainly tries

Lammermuir was in a terrible fight
Not turning right was a dangerous plight
All hands on deck knew their situation
Hard battle continued both day and night

Exactly where was their lost location
Question captain sought with much vexation
Average speed of Jammer was fifteen knots
Get back on course or it’s their damnation

No welcome sight of other ships or yachts
Current’s tying captain’s stomach in knots
Break free now or else certain death will come
Possibility gives worrisome thoughts.

New day same latitude they’d started from
A three hundred mile circle left all numb
From circling current they couldn’t break free
Trying all things they refused to succumb.

Lighten ship over the side went the tea
Sails pulled harder still that wasn’t the key
Rear stern chaser was next without effect
Flying, scared lady raced over the sea

Caught fast in a maelstrom of no escape
Swirling in circles of concentric shape
Ever decreasing circumference toward hole
Ever increasing speed toward yawing gape

West wind speaks no more of piteous sight
Wraps wings to cover eyes from ship’s bad plight
Finis, finis, Lammermuir sails no more
Ending day ends in blanket of black night.

Civility and Man: a Historical View

Civility and Man: A Historical View

Since man began to populate the earth,
And feel the pull of Satan’s evil ways.
The angels came to teach the fallen souls:
Proposing righteous ways to live earth days.
Decorum had been taught both then and now.
Man, Adam and his wife with death had played.
The badly chosen fruit waylaid their plight.
Enlightened, but from loving God they strayed.
Significance and consequence brought death.
The mortal two began to populate.
So rules of etiquette began to grow.
And man’s new fate embraced their mortal state.
Before too long, grave envy showed its face.
And Cain did not obey the rules, as taught.
He chose a rock and struck his brother dead.
Civility was not wrought in that rock.

When Moses led his people through the sands.
And Father carved some rules upon a stone.
Uncivilized, they bickered, played, and sinned.
Respect for God and His great words had flown.
When Socrates and Plato came around,
Civility…philosophy was deep.
The Ten Commandments were the reigning rules.
And politics gave zealousness a hold.
George Washington and others wrote some rules.
These rules were social rules, not civil laws.
Civility back then meant manner’s guide.
Respecting one another, yielding self.
The hundred plus ten rules, then set in place.
Fell prey to proper conduct’s judging ways.
And judgment for their lacking could be cruel.
If down the nose one’s self-worth found a sneer.
Dear Harry Truman taught a civil dream.
Of unity within the scope of men,
Together working for the greater good.
All brothers hand in hand respecting each.

The world today is filled with hatred’s fray.
Mankind now turns away from loving ways.
The common man believes all shall be well.
Surprise! Civility is on the road to hell.
Good actions are respecters of all men.
With energy beget not violent ways.
Or great travail shall overcome mankind.
Civility to me, most surely means:
Loving one another, there and at home.
Willfully revising loveless thinking.
Rebuking darkness with the light of love.
Unity and freedom…let us ring.
United wisdom drinking of love’s well,
No longer greeting slaughter of lost hope.
But civilly, rethinking plights of man.

The Bell Has Rung!

As we stand on the threshold of a new era and the passing of the torch from a cloaked
government and into the hands of a fresh new one that does speak a promises that change
has come to the Whitehouse, let not your eyes or ears nor mind depart from the harsh
realities that the most honest of intentions have strayed into the weakness of humanness
and the very greed of ones heart…Humanness which can and does make us all sometimes
falter into the very innocents of ignorance which can make anyone slip from the very path
on which they may have intended to have gone.

It is at times like this when a single mans strength is tested and that a fort in the midst of a
battle does realize that not one solider will be left standing, if just one solider turns and runs…
As they battle to defend the gates or it’s walls. Surely…One man can cry to, “Defend until the
last man does falls!” but it is the combination of the strength of all those who stand together
to defend her gates and walls that will determine if a fort shall still be standing or weather it
shall fall.

My friends this is the deciding factor of who has won or lost. We as people have been called
upon to defend our very own walls and gates, but it is not one’s mans cry to battle…that shall
lead us, but it is the strength of a people united as one! God shall be our shield and Jesus
who was sacrifice is our flaming arrow that will find our enemies weakness in his fortified
armored suit! Our fort shall be protected and its gates and walls unharmed. No not even a
one single scratch to her gates or walls… For no one lioness will hunt alone.

All claim to have come seeking peace, but instead found war. For mankind the bell has rung!
Now put on your gloves, the fight is on! No, the war that I spoke of is not real...only the exit
of a failed government and the birth of a new one is true. But there is a battle that rages
unseen...it is a for lost souls. A war between both good and evil that began, when Eve and
Adam ate from the tree of knowledge. God’s children, do you not hear me? A bell has rung…
You are in the biggest war that has ever been declared, it’s a fight for the immortality of each
and every one of our souls and the bell has been rung. Come out fighting...because the bell
for this fight has started ringing for everyone!

Premium Member Our Peach

In a moment of magic I once gave her a juicy innocent peach

Not yet knowing that she harboured a sweet nascent dream

In which as a youngster she knew that she would marry the one

Who handed such a fleshy gift to the gypsy Queen of Fairy Land

Bestowed upon her by night’s prophesy she carried the vision of

Requited love and blissful peace brought by subconscious longing

And spiritual clarity of a Higher Power submerged in compassion

A passionate fruit with soft skin and one huge seed of togetherness

We eloped together into a new dawn

The doomsayers had a field day as they harvested bitter doubts

‘It will only last a couple of months and the peach will turn rotten’

‘You cannot feed on clairvoyant oracles and meek pagan beliefs’

‘They are deluded insane and caught up in misguided romance’

They called her a witch a seductress and labelled me irresponsible

With so much at stake painted pictures of broomsticks and failure

While we had found the jewel in a haystack without even searching

And set fire to the past as we danced naked around a fire of passion

We knew the truth of intuitive feeling

One can never be sure what lies at the end of paths never taken

Whether road blocks and diversions belittle emotions and faith

But they who ignore heavenly signs forfeit adventure and truth

Stay stuck in spent time and hail its dubious comfort at their peril

We travelled and found a small hut on the beach out of sight

Collected starfish and driftwood and caressed wounded souls

Carved wedding bands out of sea shells and called upon dolphins

To witness our marriage surfing along happily ever since then

		A cormorant applauded the feast

Under a star studded canopy on the miraculous shore of belonging

We never strayed from what intuition and feelings offered for free

Meandered on the shoreline and set our sails into a magical ocean

Tasted the salt of a mindful earth and soothed our recovering minds

Never questioned the wisdom of our union shared by hungry souls

Treasure pleasure and joy weathered powerful storms and all tides

The cosmos donates all we ever need once we are willing to navigate

Waves and effervescence sparkling desire and in our case a peach

		Leading the universal way

1947-The Peeing of the Peaked Peasantry - a Mocktail

Monah Kaur and Robert Kumar fled from London, came to ‘Hindustan’; tied the knot
The 'Singhs' stopped their songs and 'Kumars at no. 42' burnt their studio; this rebellion; they will forget not
A petite piece of land was gifted by Uncle Prem to mark their freedom
With much thought the newly wed called it Garden of Eden
They cleared the plot from crawling matters and built a woody farm house
Within a year, Monah gave birth to twins; Lisa died; Minnie who survived became quiet as a mouse
The air around still polluted in invasion and many cuffed in iron
The sun and moon fairer than in London but nothing seemed fine
The couple laboured and fostered peaches for Mr. Big Ben; returned home clad in blisters
Minnie cried; and cried; her parents had no time and she desired a couple of sisters
In financial distress the duo approached the heroic Farmer Bachan to assist his flock
Pleased with their dedication he gifted them a Peacock.
Minnie cried louder now, seeing this English present; she wasn’t a fan
Bachan who was fond of the child, sent her way, a young Indian Peahen
Minnie’s tears lost its way in the Ganges as the new birds found their click
Around Christmas added to the family was a cute hybrid Pea-chick
What adorable ‘chana’ like eyes had she!
Without delay, Minnie named her Chick pea
Eden now a 'Rangoli'; 'Ranisas' and 'Nawabs' soothed in ‘Masala’ tea
All engrossed in the lights and sweetness of Diwali; no attention paid to the growth of The Serpent on that Apple tree.
Those daffodils patented to Wordsworth, danced in the air
In its abode, the serpent watched Eden, what a scare!
One morning, Minnie fetched a Brown ladder to reach the tree which dazzled with rounds of juicy red
The ladder attacked and killed; the child returned home badly bitten, almost to eternal slumber she bled
Bachan’s sheep strayed to the road that was not to be taken, decreased from many to few
Eden cried for The Good Shepard; The Foreign Raj ruthlessly bottled native stew
Prayers were answered and on a Tiger came a Flying sheriff called ‘Shroff’
Bedecked in turfy ‘ceps’ and ‘pecs’; this essence fought in ‘huff & puoff’
Over time; in years almost equal to Tendulkar's century; the Serpent grew wicked miles
The gladiator fought till his last breath, excreting the treacherous reptile back to the British Isles

My Bleating Heart

Modern day scoffers say,
only the strong will survive
That the weak will be eaten alive
Only T-Rex,
cold-blooded logic will thrive

The talking serpents e-vol hiss,
instincts of compassion and kindness won’t abide
Forgiveness is viewed as fleece clothing
to bear skins
sin cloaked in naked pride
Warmly showing forth utter soft, sheer love
will get an Abel body devoured by crocodile eyes
Whose gator jaws have teeth
sharp as knives

Carnivore minded thinkers believe those
with the most leopard spots
will claw ruthlessly
to the genome mountaintop

But, my bleating heart
was verily, second Adam told
this was not so

From the dawn mist of Eden’s birth,
the first paradise promise
spoke the Gospel truth —
That the meek will inherit the Earth

New Age Sadducees tout,
how the wolves were gonna turn
the Moon glow red
Make the ewe reflection of the sunlight
get darkened instead

Tho’ the Son still shine on the wolfsbane,
genetic scorners mock in vain ...
Derisively baring the fang,
spouting ebb-and-flow abysmal theories
Cloned Dolly insane

Boast howl those silver tongues
were green changing, cheatah fast,
the wavy blue to bright crimson
Like grisly paw mouths of the past

Raptor grip moneychangers
who prey devoured the pray fittest least —
Faith impoverished lost sheep,
who idol strayed
into the coin belly of the beast

But, my poor, bleating heart
was verily, verily, Lamb of God boldly Amen told:
The pyramid scheme/food chain feast,
to saber tooth prowl
evilly for eternity,
won’t ever Last Supper be Red Sea parted possible

Oh, my bleating heart
was verily, verily, double blessed told:
That the Resurrection Exodus was in the sheepfold
Good Shepherd voice activated, ready to go

Yes, my enriched, bleating heart
was surely comforted gently by buried wisdom gold
Three-day-old alabaster ointment
(that was dirt price sold)
caught the tiger by the evolutionary tale,
I was so graciously Only Begotten revival pulse told

Mercy green pastures of meek hope
wasn’t grazed for woolly naught
Ere crucifixion teardrop thought
got turned into a beautiful, Salvation pearl

When every saintly flock
closed eye awaken joyously,
(with bloodstain-free,
sin clean fleece,)
there will be no predators in the new world

The Girl With Me Under the Umbrella

It was the month of June,
When the whether had changed its tune,
The rain was lashing down,
It's wrath had drenched the town.

All the human beings succumbed to their warm abodes,
All but me, who was wandering along the water filled roads,
It was dark, and a blue umbrella in my hand,
Walked on and on, till I saw a lone girl in a bus stand.

She was hopeless, she was searching for help,
Until she saw me, she ran to me with a yelp,
Without hesitating, without asking, she reached under my umbrella,
Shivering and content, she chirped "thanks, fella!".

And I saw her face, clearly,
She had scars, wounds and charred, nearly,
She was an embodiment of abuse and painfulness,
She was an incarnation of fear and grimness.

She was happy, she got a companion in me,
she was hopeful, she was blindly trusting me,
I asked her " why are you alone?",
She replied " I was always alone".

"Hope always repelled me,
Happiness is scared of me,
But I never gave up,
I always have, with poise, my chin held up".

"Evil always have wandered around me,
The aura of submission always strayed around me,
Time have shown me the most difficult phases of life,
But here I am, with memories imprinted on my face, throbbing with life".

I was numb, I was mesmerized,
She was some angel, she had me enlightened,
She was ugly in looks, but she was lovely,
Oh god! I have fallen for her, she was so lively.

Till the moment I met her,
I had called myself a loser,
I was the famous, rich and handsome, who, within was a loner,
I had lots of friends, fans, followers, but they were friends with my money, fame and my power.

"Have I seen you somewhere?" She asked me, eyes wide,
"Might have, but not relevant", I was enjoying this edified ride,
I had no destination, I just walked by her rhythms,
I had no worries, she led me softly like a calm zephyr.

And suddenly we stopped, she had reached her destination,
She smiled at me, thanked me and went away to an unknown direction,
I was blank, reached out for the rain,
It had stopped long ago, for my umbrella was completely dry.

Again I was solitary,
The cold wind stopped, which was once fiery,
I adored her, but was sorry for myself,
I wasn't good enough for her, an unfortunate pal for a fighter like herself.

Confession Kyrielle For Hearers

If I have uttered blasphemy
That you’re the root of the dark tree
Light and darkness are twins of might
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If I blasphemed the shining Son
That death awaits the moon and sun
That they are strangers without might
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If my teeth and serpent fingers
Harmed the fivefold god who lingers
Put animals and plants in plight
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If I sinned against the elect
Though they’re angels without defect
We opposed their words from the height
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If I in any way harmed life
If I put crawling beasts in strife
Put life that swims or flies in plight
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If I’ve done tricks and perjury
Harmful gossip and sorcery
Sinned with this self, put life in plight
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If I followed a wolf’s teachings
Ignored the wise elect’s preachings
And then worshipped the Prince of Night
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If my heart strayed from these four seals
From the four gods as ideals
Love, faith, fear, wisdom shining bright
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If I ignored the ten commands
If with my mouth, heart, self, and hands
Fell short due to my flesh in plight
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If my soul did not sing in prayer
My prayers did not fly in pure air
The four prayers not said with my might
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

I fail in giving the elect
Alms for the angels to collect
So the light can’t reach heaven’s height
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If I broke the fifty days fast
For my greed and distress amassed
I forgot the law at twilight
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

If I fail to confess and pray
To the kind elect each Monday
For I was lazy or lost sight
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

I failed in the seven Yimkis
To fast and celebrate in bliss
Failed when the Bema was in sight
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

Each day I make dark thoughts and deeds
Each day I grow dark words like weeds
Betraying the light of pure white
Forgive my sins! Have mercy, Light!

“The place of true healing is a fierce place. It’s a giant place. It’s a place of monstrous beauty and endless dark and glimmering light. And you have to work really, really, really hard to get there, but you can do it.” — Cheryl Strayed

In the shadows,
Where silence screams,
Echoing heartbeats,
Resonating what it means…

To embrace the silence,
With all its serenity and sensitivity,
Listening to the faded nights,
Harboring hope, in the softest moonlight…

In the shadows,
Where music streams,
Singing in rhythms,
Measures of hopes and dreams…

Comforting the spirits,
With love that keeps believing,
Pouring light in soothing rhythms,
Coloring stories in poetic prisms…

In the shadows,
Where birds take wing,
Stilling the moments with magnificence,
Sending the hope that will sing…

Refreshing the moments,
With kindness and energizing
Journeys through forest like fantasies,
Whispering joy on paths of memories…

In the shadows,
Where hearts learn to breath,
Silence is accompanied by the mist,
Falling from heaven, glorious and gentle…

Remembering the trembling,
Touching souls with such vitality,
Reaching past the darkness,
Into the soul’s sincerity, stimulating….

In the shadows,
Where forever stands quietly,
Still as the last snowflake,
Landing on the spirit, a feeling…

Blowing in the winds of change,
Hesitating, healing, harboring grace,
The sense of light, never to fade,
Embracing the muse of Godly praise…

In the shadows,
Where the still, cool wind vibrates,
Stands the silhouette of a truth,
Coloring the heart in rhythms of beauty….

Rising to restore, remember
What it means to believe, forever,
Flowing, the rivers of God’s blessing,
Glowing, the love that is our soul’s treasure!

In the shadows,
Love falls, still as the breath,
Who fades into a soulful expression,
The music of love, walking on the path of forever….

Glistening, joy through my soul,
Joy who knows…
Wherever I go, I will forever know
The One who brought my life hope,
The One who brought the new light,
The One who taught my soul with love,
Love that comes to those who believe…
In the ONE who died and rose,
Breathing love through those who know…
God is love and love goes on and on –
Even in the shadows, love carries on!

In My Life - Delight-Illuminated Dawn

All anxieties are gone
We dream on like daydreamers, awaiting another great,
delight-illuminated dawn
I’ll love you until my life is no more
I’ll love you, even if you have strayed into the darkness
I love you from the bottom of the ocean to the heavens
above
I’ll love you – I won’t get over you and you’re my love at
first sight – you were and still are a dazzling, surreal sight –
you kiss me and I’m overwhelmed with passionate bliss
I will love you if you would step out of the abyss with me
I’m fearless to say that I used to bleed out remorse
Before I met you…of course
I used to cry myself asleep because I felt so alone
Before I met you, I was on my own

V.5: Were you looking for me in the Weeping Meadows?
I’m looking in the mirror; then out of nowhere, I hear your
echoes
You wiped away the wistful waters…you made the gray of
today disappear and now, I’m not as gloomy and introverted
as I once was…what a fine, terrific day!
You prevented a waterfall of sorrowful appall from exposing
itself too soon…I’m reflecting about the trespasses in my
past, feeling the dread drown me time and time again – why
am I doused in dismay?

*chorus* I’m never fearless enough to stand up for you or
even claim that you saved me and I to you from death’s
snare
But, I must tell you someday, so that you’re aware
That you are someone special in my heart – I can’t conceal
the truth of what I feel for you deep inside
In my life, in my life, I’m still stuck in the solitary cave
In my life, in my life, I thought I wasn’t at all brave
I was caved in by the cravings of my heart
The darkness once ripped me apart
But, you repaired me and I recovered pretty fast
So, please listen up! I must tell you about my good and bad
past
Fear doesn’t exist here
Get a grip on the rope of hope
All anxieties are gone
We dream on like daydreamers, awaiting another great,
delight-illuminated dawn
I’ll love you until my life is no more
I’ll love you, even if you have strayed into the darkness
I love you from the bottom of the ocean to the heavens
above
I’ll love you – I won’t get over you and you’re my love at
first sight – you were and still are a dazzling, surreal sight –
you kiss me and I’m overwhelmed with passionate
bliss
