Volley

They're going to war with themselves by trying
to attack you
this is how you know they aren't bright so pray for
light in dark fools
weapons formed will come against but will hit many
brick walls
a blank face will hide smiles under the surface as they
take swift falls
these magic tricks are just that so ring the alarm on
close calls
attacks just boomerang right back like reply's to
missed calls
why in the hell are these flaws so easy to see in real
time?
let them do as they please for their karma requests pay in
due time
i'm neither for nor against the back & forth but can i just
live & do me?
i guess shinning light disrupts demons in dark places
that hate what you see
turn the other cheek if the price is right but i turn
wheels like Bill C.
i just wrote this to bark back real quick & play bob to your
weave

Pretty Polly Petree

Pretty Polly Petree sit on her little window seal
hoping the day would be full of fun and thrills.

It was raining and the clouds left no sun shinning
but pretty Polly Petree believed in silver linings.

So off to her room she left running, in hopes to find
some paint to make a Sun so bright and shinning.

Polly Petree painted a lovely view of the sun and flowers
to chase away all the clouds and the thunder showers.

She took and hung it in the window facing the sky and
away went the clouds and the sun waved Hi.

Butterflies and Blue Birds sat on the window's edge and
said Thank you Polly for the dryness upon our heads.

You are welcome, said Polly and I hope your day is fun
and Oh so jolly.

Premium Member Surgical Words

May my words cut deeply into thy soul as a sharpened sword
Loosening the impediments of fear and hate causing your discord
May they like the shinning surgical blade make their incisions
Removing all delusion and indecision

Yet, also let them be as precise as a master surgeons work
Clearing even those hidden elements as they lie in lurk
Waiting to surprise and cause great demise
With full effect causing great pain and loud cries

But let my closing bring healing and peace
As the comforting sigh you now release
Let my words, now new seeds be
For you to use eternally

Let them nurture and encourage your life
Helping to endure and overcome strife
Knowing my love will always endure
And always be there for you, for sure

Words may be sharp, but be used to be kind
It’s just a matter of which ones you find
Every word I say traveling to thee
Is meant to bring love and comfort from me

Strangers In the Night

My footsteps walk through the puddles of rain made by my tears
Shinning bright as stars in the night the sound they make as each fall and hit the ground,
Sends the owl’s hiding and the moon it’s light to hide.

Summer has never appeared winter time is the clothes I wear,
Snow all around is how I feel in this dark and lonely despair
Steps take me forward but this place I can never leave.

Tied to a rock of memories of my own making upon a land strewn with pain never ending,
Baggage never seen but bearing me down each day a corner seek to rest and hide.

This with a smile so no one knows inside I cry,
Why did we not fight instead of just parting like strangers in the night?

Happiness, the state of laughter and joy
Abandoning the abuse cage of woe, glum, and despair
Place yourself around loved ones you know that give
Positive criticism to become the person you decide to be
Inspiring you to grow and improve your world
Nourishing hope, faith, and trust
Enabling that acknowledgement to show,
Shouts echo of glowing encouragement leaving an impact of harmony
Summer sunset shinning smiles sloppy kisses of greetings from your dog

Trump Air Ways Race

Trump Air Ways Race

Trump flies over the metropolis as number one
In a strange helicopter blimp like machine
Racing for no other reason than he is Trump
Red tie, black tux, white shirt shinning

He is the pilot without a care
Steps outside in the air up there
The plan is to reach his single prop plane in tow
Via a short rope holding both crafts together don't you know

Black dress shoes don't seem very safe as he proceeds
His hair guides him like a slick red sail surfing the air

Someone show him the poles!
No!… Not those
Give him a long light plastic one for balance on the rope
And no Polish jokes

He reaches the plane door but starts to fall
Hands flapping as people clap
Large crowds gather and hold their collective breaths
Turn purple in the process

Who will win the race in the sky
I don't know but my money is on Trump
Don't ask me why
According to him he is still number one

We pray that the media remembers to exhale
They are smarter than your average snails
24 hour coverage is required
To see if the Areal Houdini expires

Premium Member As Lovers Do

The first rays of dawn bring a garnish of warm soft hues
that coat the meadow in a glistening mantle
as we journey on beckoning spiraling slopes of fallen dew
to see the sunrise from the highest hill
   as lovers do
With tender fingers securely enveloped in joyous wonder
like an oyster shell protecting the rarest pearl
found in the emotional depth of serenity and wondrous beauty
when a red pastel sky turns a rich velvet blue

Inviting us to soar like birds on delicate wings of imagination
and endlessly float on love's sweet fragrant breath

Yearning to paint a thousand pictures
rendered by love's artistic hands
framed by the hunger of our desire

When beneath the sun's splayed light, we kissed
becoming tethered by love's silent capture
regaled by the morning's mist
to feel the world melt away in solemn grace
where time is forever still from the sighing moment of our surrender
   as truth becomes unspoken
and love frees the soul's jeweled reflections
glimmering in the farthest realms of the eyes
shinning bright as a wishful sense of shared awe

She walked into the living room,
and there he was.....
Deceased.....on the floor.
The man who taught her to be
herself, was gone forever more.
She lit a candle in her soul, to always
be herself.
And now the candle flickered....

No more great books of the Western
World?
Those years they studied Aristotle and
Plato's Republic?

He was gone, she was still here.
Her wedding ring, sparkled in the
moonlight.
She smiled, knowing he was speaking
in God's ear.

For the rest of her life, she had many
battles to face and knew her imprint
on life would be far from small.
So as the days of her life now end, she
Is supremely grateful.

She knew ...to be different, costs!
To be one of the crowd....far easier.
But they had made a pact to speak
out when things were wrong!

He might be gone, but she went on
through life.
Much like the Olympic Runner with a
torch, shinning bright.
Forever calling out wrongs and making
things right.

Her shroud awaits her, but in fear she
will not live.
But be herself fully,in spite of any and
all missives.
The friends that leave, she had to forget.
As she walked on life's rocky parapet.

It may be time for her Poetry to end,
She and her works, so obviously disliked.
But since when did that stop her?
She was far from a childish, shy tyke!

Live Now Die Later

Live now die later
Enjoy life
Be who you are
Let the world see it
You can't be what you are not
Else you are not living
Else happiness will disown you
And sadness will be your best friend

Life is a precious gift
Dont waste it for nothing
Live before you die
Yes live before you die

Live now die later
Be happy
Worry less
Everything is alright
Live a little my Friends
Keep your lights shinning
The world needs you
You need the world
So be who you are
You can't be what you are not
Just live a little
Life is short my friends

Life is a precious gift
Dont waste it for nothing
Live before you die
Yes live before you die

They Just Didn'T Know

I try just to even stand but end up falling down
Such a bitter sweet end as now You they crown
Already badly beaten there's Blood everywhere
Man is but a creatine how could he ever dare

Each of every 39 lashes my heart winces in pain
As my own life flashes such a love I can not feign
In so mocking Your Name and cursing at You
But not once did You blame our Savior so true

Carrying our heavy cross paraded in the street
In replacing our loss it's Your Praises I repeat
It's Your Praises I repeat tears still in my eyes
Oh LORD! how they beat! my heart just cries

As there YOU hung throughout the third hour
Heavens Angels sung all knowing Your Power
Faith is but a window Light shinning through
Insults they threw, as they just didn't know

Luke 22:63
And the men that held Jesus
mocked him, and smote him.
