Premium Member Thankful

A man of few words, my father taught by example.
The best thing he showed me
was to set my standards high
and to be my own judge -
always modest never defiant or arrogant.

If something needed doing
I should do it without expecting praise -
self-satisfaction being the ultimate goal.

He taught me to set my sights high
and to be my own boss
no matter the circumstances –
to be fiercely independent
not count on anyone.

I learned to go about my business and be self-sufficient.
I did not do well in teams – like a bull in a china shop
I had my objectives and went at them as a loner.
I never saw it exactly that way
but I did get good at it to a fault.

One day, it was a rude awakening when
it dawned on me how I was doing things for people
and they were consistently ungrateful.
I knew the problem couldn’t completely be with them

My so-called modesty had become self-fulfilling servitude.
It finally registered that if people didn’t have to ask,
they didn’t have to say ‘thanks’.
And that never mattered to me until
I realized that they were in fact not thankful
And THAT was a whole different ball game.

I literally spent days if not weeks
stubbornly trying to unlearn and reprogram myself.
Tried to get it through my skull that
if people ASK for something,
or at least ADMIT they would appreciate something,
that’s when they might actually appreciate it

How cheap can people be -
what a warped world we live in.
For me, it was a hard lesson in human nature -
I was actually an enabler encouraging people
to take me for granted.

People really do like games
even the ones who say they hate them.

Admittedly it was late in life I learned this lesson
And I admit I often still choose to do things
without getting people to actually ask.
But at least I’m cognizant of my ways.

And admittedly when I do pause
and play the ‘asking’ game, it does pay off.
But I’m so unbelievably stubborn I don’t always
want to pay the price for their gratitude
so to this day, if I feel something needs to be done
I’ll just get it done.

Find Your Freedom

Find your freedom
Pressure and stress
live like a necessity unwanted
Doe exist
In the reality of jobs we do nowadays
To earn a life,

With a reflection
Like a force
We woke up morning after morning,

Chaseing for the days bread,
With a heart of needs,
We wonder ,
Like tommorow is fine as promised,

Find your freedom
Always we got to obey the boss,
From a teacher
We learn with a structure
Organise before we were grown

Like doe now it change
To technology
We always either bow to computers
To mobile phones
And on and on

Find your freedom
Like a 21st century
Like a USB generation

Soon may be
Robot generation
Where a full force with over take
The real sence
and existence of a moral being,

Is gradually
Fast speeding on the way,
Common sence exit no more today,
Moral rules are buried
Or rather born ablaze

Find your freedom
I wish I was born in an ancient age,
Where truth is the rule of culture,
When money was not in existence,
When love was the God,

Find your freedom
Look around you,
The clouds of truth
Are blue,
Like is about to rain down
With a wind like a tornado
Of distruction from an anger
Of the God,

Nature bleed for it cost
When we chose not to understand it
Benefit,

Like a circle we trade life
From a defferent direction of our own
Mind of self satisfaction,

Find your freedom
The sun are about to turn red
abomination is oviously invoke all over places,
And
We sit and laugh like all is good,

Is all about to rain on a fool,
We fall to see beyond looking,
Is all about to burn like a hell to the man who
live to earn just money from manipulation,
Distruction like a karma is about to fall to all
who fails to improve humanity with love,

Find your freedom
Like kids tales by moon light,
In Africa,
Runing around the fire
Singing
There is fire on the mountain,
Run run run,

Oh run away from the reality of today
Cos
There is more to what we know
when you begin to search
for who you truly are
Then you are on a speed to
Find your freedom

You fear knowledge,
run from it as you would a gathering storm,
to hide in the dark forest of your life's ordeal.
Seeking nothing,
but self-satisfaction, blaming others for your lot in life.
Hiding from the responsibility of your own actions.
To need someone to appear seeking power,
a power you give easily, without reason.
Promises made so you feel secure,
from the fears of your own design.
A puppet to a master of anger gives comfort.
Exposed lies mean nothing,
hating truth covers the guilt within,
while you hear a world that gives reason,
for your hatred.
This self-loathing in your soul,
is a sickness that lays at the very foundation,
of your heart, allowing hypocrisy to be your arguments,
as to why you follow this chosen leader.
You'll condemn a President who talks to enemies,
yet praise a God who washes the feet of a prostitute.
Two things apart, yet tied together,
by the rope of truth that gives service to others.
Raise your banner high,
it waves in the strong winds of history's hate.
Already past, now rising again,
from the same fields of ignorance,
the loathing of intellectual truth,
that all men are created equal,
unless,
they don't wear what you wear,
hear what you hear,
pray like you pray,
hate like you hate.
This is the world you bring to the rest of us?
Because you're afraid,
because you hate,
because your skin reflects the light,
because you're weak,
and need a leader whose a mirror image,
of you're insecurities,
to tell you what's right, what's wrong.
Because all your troubles come from " Those People "
" The Others ", Its their fault you have failed.
This power you give this leader,
because he pointed out "Those People "
It's easier to agree than to challenge his words.
Life would be so much easier,
if we would just get rid of " Those People "
What ever happened to, of the people,
by the people, for the people?
It was sold to a crazy leader for 30 pieces of fear.

ACTS OF KINDNESS

In diamonds, we look for the three C's
cut, carat and clarity, we consider
In kindness, we avoid the three C's
criticism, comparison and complaint, we defer

What the world currently needs
is its peoples good deeds.
Look around and you see madness;
in forms of selfishness, shamelessness,
boastfullness, rudeness and meanness.
Greed, self-satisfaction and self-gratification abound;
however, we can also see goodness is still around.

We can all contribute to mankind
by giving and being so kind.
Although, we have an idea that giving is always financial
and costly to be beneficial.
Giving kindness is natural and simple,
as it comes from our heart; it's that simple.

Remember the three C's to avoid, as you do the acts of kindness
for avoiding them will open your heart and your senses.
Hold back to criticize and begin to empathize
for you are not perfect and no one is perfect.
In totality, we are all imperfect.

Stop comparing and start accepting,
for no two people are the same and alike.
Even identical twins are not a hundred percent the same or alike.
Accept what you cannot change,
for you cannot change a person unless that person would change.

Refrain from complaining and begin listening.
Open your heart and try understanding,
what works for you, may not work for someone else
or you have not gone through, what someone has gone through.

Smile and compliment, as these are good
gestures that would make someone feel good.
Give what you do not need,
that others can use or may need.

Reach out and touch someone,
a phone call or a note can lift up someone.
Think of other possibilities you can contribute to mankind.
Let your imagination roam to be more kind.

Premium Member I Miss You, Dad

Hi Dad, I miss you. I’m sure you’re very happy up there and all the prep you did while you were sick paid off in wondrous ways.

I’ve been thinking about our past and the good times you made sure we had along with the food on the table and the roof over our heads. I’ll never understand how you managed to raise six kids on your salary.

Communication was never a big thing in our family. Your funeral was a prime example. It was just a sad showing before the mass and then a quiet ceremony. I was so happy to honor your passing by playing deep glorious Gregorian chants as loud as I could to accompany your rising above the clouds. It was as close to a ritual as it was going to get.

What we don’t verbalize stays hazy, unexplored and undefined. Like you, I keep everything inside, I avoid conflict at all costs – overall this really hasn’t worked against me too much, the few times I exploded were not particularly winning outcomes. What’s the use? Teach someone a lesson? That never works. I’m just as happy being the way I am. It seemed to have worked out for you as well.

You were a good model for following your heart and what you believed in even if you knew you’d pay for it. It was the price of freedom and making your own decisions. Self-satisfaction was the ultimate prize. I’m just like you – stubborn to the point of making stupid decisions and not caring that they’re stupid. That’s the way we exercise our freedom.

If you can, I’d love it if you helped me to discover my life mission and what lessons I need to learn down here. One of these lessons must be to learn to make do with minimum money: as depressing as it can get, struggling does have its rewarding upside of promoting creativity.

Maybe you can also guide me in my prep for the big final trip.

I love you, I miss you. I’ll see you again some day.

Always your baby girl xx

Paying Forward Kindnesses Done

Paying forward kindnesses done...
courtesy family, friend or stranger

Appreciative when nonagenarian
papa telepathically hears me yelp
and/or non twisted sisters,
who time and again offered
unsolicited beneficial help.

Indeed unable to reciprocate
that's not quite all he wrote
when kith/kin allotted this ole goat
specie, paper money, and bank note
I experienced collateral
fallout unable to float

mine vessel, nor without
ability to emote,
thus underwent "non Fake,"
agony, I don't sugar coat
albeit analogy to sinking boat
(think Lusitania), thus

this scrivener doth gloat,
whenever he proffers
random act of kindness,
yet never can match,
nor approximate sum total denote
ting cumulative countless

dire straits immediate family
came to rescue one lame
(damn silly word wizard),
whose destiny when graphed
resembles infinitely jesting asymptote
approaching, but never
reaching financial solvency.

Hence yours truly doth attend
impossible mission to contend
despite contrary rumors,
he doth really wish to extend
to assist family member friend
Romans, countrymen, yes to lend,
(or lease) helping hand to mend

ever widening gap,
when charity bestowed
payback doth equal
obligated (boot unable) to spend
small fortune in order to secure
necessary Brownie points
approximating largesse describing
series of fortunate events that didst trend
all throughout mein kampf thee end!

Ha... ha... tricked you dear reader
yea me annoying
as mosquito buzz feeder
of Fake news, who
unfortunately happens tubby,
our crudely inept, mishuga,
and vulgar leader,
he doth trumpet disinformation
fast as rabbit breeder.

Whenever ripe opportunity doth arise
to avail - even toward
someone I might despise,
whether gendered person(s)
gals and/or guise
self satisfaction awakes to realize
to give unconditionally and tries
affecting humanity positively
free effort plus also wise.

Premium Member Arete

Note: "Arete": Pronounced [ ahr-i-tey ]

Sometimes our best efforts go unnoticed
by everyone but ourselves.
We strive mightily to succeed and accomplish
something we think is important
and of value to others
that ultimately ends up in the proverbial wastelands
of unseen and unrecognized accomplishments.
Poets know this all too well
as we put in endless hours
of deep thought and effort
to mold a few letters and words together into
something never seen, heard, or experienced by another
to lift one's heart and soul up off the ground
or change or challenge a reader's perspective
on any number of the innumerable mysteries
and enigmas of life profound.
In sum, we strive to shed new light on those around.
Too often, however, our efforts fall far short
of those whose eyes we hope to entertain
and our endeavors appear to be all in vain.

But are they? While we may be writing
for the response and recognition of others,
above all, we should be writing for ourselves,
because at the end of the day, good writing
is an arduous, lonely and persnickety pursuit
towards happiness, self-satisfaction and improving
our own mental well-being and state of mind.
Writing builds character and helps us shine.

The ancient Greeks called it "Arete," meaning excellence,
or the extreme commitment to attain.
It's nothing new to poets or writers of any kind
or any other person who's dedicated
to being, doing and/or becoming the best
that they can possibly be
at whatever it is they're striving to achieve.
It's just a little something we would all do well
to remind ourselves from time to time.
When the recognition doesn't arrive
to fill our hearts and heads with pride
or obstacles stand in our way,
remember writing means more than what we say.
And blessed are they who think
in terms of Arete`.

A Sideshow That Freaks

A crazed, dazed unexplained side show that freaks. What did we just do? Who knew, the few true, would prove to be me; and you? In shape we fit to form; like the shoe. In step we go toe to toe. As we set sail off the dock we began to row. From here to Tim buck two, the news has been spread. A wire fed buzz, music stuck inside your head. Without reason or cause. Lost in frenzy of locked jaws. The channel is the change. No home out on the range. Supernatural reaction of self satisfaction. It's dog eat dog in this life form contraption. Unable to define the infinite. The string cheese is an incident. Leaving a lasting impression as people come and go. Fair is the weather my friend, I'll see you at the show. It's no holds bar, a fight to the death. If your waiting for the miracle, I wouldn't waste a breath. I creep on stealth; I'm light on my feet. To avoid the contact, with the stranger on streets. A taco truck drives by and the fire engine sounds. I light up a smoke and out come the hounds. The city is the life and this is how we live. Another day another dollar, homeless asking us to give. The sites that we see, as we tour this. We are just visiting this life like a tourist. An excursion; short lived like a fur-low. It's suggested that we go with the flow. We make the most of the little things we appreciate. Make room for the love and weed out the hate. A master of disaster in this episode or chapter. Another piece to the puzzle that ends happily ever after. We flock towards the it crowd. To be a somebody who's proud. Egotistical tendencies close the mind. Open your hearts and who knows what you'll find. As the world turns, our wheels keep spinning. We learn from our mistakes. This is only the beginning. It's not easy to explain; this may last day or even weeks. It's a crazed, dazed, unexplained side show that freaks.

Be Yourself No Matter What

BE YOURSELF NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!
I’m tired of defending myself, everybody telling me what I’m doing from what I’m not
I thought this was my life, last time I checked I knew what I’ve done and what I’ve not
My life has become something like a best seller but not a lot really know the plot
But its seems like I’m targeted more than others and they keep hitting the same wrong spot
*****Isn’t this how most of us feel sometimes? *****
Funny thing is, in life you cannot always tell if someone has changed, if you’re not around everyday
So blame me if I’m wrong but do we honestly think that after 30 years a person stays the same way?
Can we conclude that a person actions remain the same, of years past in what they now portray?
I highly doubt it because that’s like telling me that everybody lives their lives in a constant replay
People do change you know, some for the better and some for the worst
Some become successful and for whatever reason some get driven by a hearse
Life is not like a choir, trust me, you don’t have time to rehearse
But we are given opportunities, to make a mark, like a song with more than one verse
Who are we to judge how someone lives their life, even if it’s not how we live ours
People need to be more concerned about theirs and pay way less attention to yours
If we focused our time on more important things for ourselves instead of wasting hours
Who knows how great we could soar, maybe, probably higher than the old twin towers
Live your life for you because you can only represent yourself and control your actions
Don’t let what other people say and do affect you and cause any distractions
If and only if someone’s behavior affects you due to constant interactions
Then make a change, take a different route, to side step them and move toward self-satisfaction
