Premium Member Love Your Neighbor As Yourself

Love your neighbor as yourself
The entire Law, per the Sage Hillel
Before you take another book off your shelf
Take time to study this Levitical Law well

First of all, it's not 'advice;' it's a Law, a Precept
No less binding than 'Thou shall not steal'
A Commandment no matter how hard must be kept
He loves your neighbors; so must you: That's the deal

To love another, you must love yourself first
   Focus on positives; build self-esteem
A negative attitude will lead you to the worst
Project positivity -- Self-confidence is no dream

Now you're ready to love others as yourself
To mourn sad times together; to celebrate glad
And by loving the Lord's fellow creations
You'll be beloved amongst His Congregation

"Love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord."
                                                    ~ Leviticus, 19:18

Just Be

Why can I not just be
Be at ease with being me
Ease myself into an easy flow
Jeez, is that part of me a flaw
My bloom is way past its glow
All motion now rendered slow
Mixed emotions bout to blow
And my mood doomed to waffle
I'm fearful life is foredoomed to be awful
Maybe its best to cut loose the old self
Set my aura aside to rest on a shelf
Shake loose my cells till they unform
to dally around freely without form
So I can be as one with the norm
Let all fear step back now with a bow
As I take a chance to step up and wow
It's about time I cease being reactive
Seize the day, vibrate on positive
And still strive to be progressive
Even while I live in active procrastination
Remaining passive in my participation
I wait till I receive a valid sign of progress
It's since proved to be a very useful process
That filters my mind of excess stress
It lightens my thoughts so they run clear and free
Freed my guilt and shame too, I did see them flee
Now I intend to be a lot more cautious
I can't keep up with feeling overly anxious
Not over a few missed milestones
My neck won't tote any hefty millstones
If I do concede to this new slow pace
Will I find a space to fit in, in this place
So as to face my inner self in peace
Maybe then I can at last just be
Finally at ease with being me

Premium Member Started Out Life As a Child

Started out life as a child

Cuter than the average bear if I do say so myself

Grew up in a small town across the river from Montreal

My teenage years weren't all that happy

Had an inferiority complex for some strange reason

Started working in a bank right out of high school

But knew I wasn't cut out to be a banker

Met an old schoolmate one afternoon

Told me he got a job as an apprentice in an commercial art studio

And that surely peaked my interest

Always enjoyed doodling in my spare time

To make a long story short, I took the Famous Artists Course

A correspondence course through the mail

Two or three lessons into it

Along came the opportunity to be hired as an apprentice

In the art studio of a large engraving company

I jumped at the opportunity and the rest is history

My career as a graphic designer was launched

The more successful I became

The more my inferiority complex gradually disappeared

My success gave me the much needed self confidence

That one has to have to successfully get through life

There you have it... my story, such as it is

Not the most inspiring but at least it was uniquely mine

I am no longer that insecure soul from many years ago

Art from the heart, a religion of ritual,
where One summons God and glory to center stage,
your spirit enriched by the self confidence that ensues
as inspiration smells like cedar and feels like sanctity,
the physics of mystics in an eye the mind won't deny,
whence a penny is a prize with a wish
to ventilate a voice of sensitive wisdom,
sensational seeing into the human condition,
visions of vinegar in virtue, visciousness in victory, mercy in the face of malignancy,
pleasure in the panic of risk, pain in the placid avoidence of adventure,
securing an ownership in a Universe from our births unto burials
worshiping composition and the partnership it represents,
Vermeer & Vivaldi, Beehtoven & Bosch, amatuer & adept,
feeling like an angel with demon bones, fusing two atmospheres together,
a holy parade of brazen beliefs putting a new world in order for all,
a micro euphoria, a macro excitment, accomplishment ambrosia,
happiness warm and wakeful in hearts pumping for promise,
for a covenant crafted in a workshop outfitted for you, for what you were ment to do,
volunteering to be a lightning rod of a Goddess crazed with passion,
a power placed in One's fibers for maximum purpose by a trusting Deity,
raise humanity's awareness to the truth that existence is an exercise in artistry,
faith framing futurity within the purity
of knowing that I am where I belong, I belong where I am -

Premium Member Through Life's Clenched Jaw

Time to time, I'm bound to pass
  through Life's clenched jaw
   as I saw, that's inevitable !
No body can escape but to be put
in tight corner --more or less
     even if one fights utmost.
    That's life !
Path of life is uneven not smooth
    the most ruthless truth.

In those days, I never pray
to be saved in danger ----
     but wish for more strength
      to struggle and win !
Adverse situations must not ruin me :
     Even if I fall down,
I'm sure, I must rise up.

        I know sometimes
I are put in immense trouble
while going through life's clenched jaw
as if I'm under cutch of devil's paw.
Yet I don't lose self confidence
        to control hazards
         having tolerance
        and sufficient patience.

        I don't need any solace
if when I be put in grief or sorrow
but pray for courage and competence
       to overcome by tomorrow.

       I proceed dauntless
       simultaneous being righteous
       to confront with firm faith
as I never deviate from truth
even when going though Life's clenched jaw !

Premium Member Stoleness

Some bits and pieces. Stoleness doesn't empower one to

           are disloyal—possession over someone Stoleness.

Abducted along with one's self-confidence and innermost thoughts

and deepest sentiments will be revealed for safekeeping.

Demoralized and staleness broken trust in addition to anything

so on and on, and so forth Stoleness has causes and effects,

lessons learned? intuitive conception, and conclusion that Stoleness

Undoubtedly the Influence of Everyday Events

Self doubt and self confidence
are a result of your environment
so is happiness so is depression
undoubtedly the influence
of everyday events
subjective oppression or pressure
those days which are intense
they build or make you lesser
yet both leave their indents
be it humiliated failure
or success beyond your sense
will add or chip at layers
become what one expects
but you can change the flavour
the same way light deflects
make yourself the stranger
rid of your defects
the change is but a drainer
but not of intellect
on spirit put this strainer
don't give in to stress
the scope stays as your aimer
walk on nonetheless
and you will be the victor
who made yourself your best

Demon

I’ve got this demon
Living in my head,
It makes me have horrid thoughts
Mainly wishing I was dead.
I hear these voices
Deep in my mind and soul,
I try to stop them
But fear I’m losing all control

I’ve tried to block it out
It’s taken up residence,
Full of fear
Losing self confidence.
It’s screaming louder
My thoughts , no longer mine,
I tried my best to shut it down
I just ran out of time.

I’ve got this demon
Living in my head,
It’s makes me have these horrid thoughts
Mainly wishing I was dead.
I hear these voices
Deep in my mind and soul,
I tried to stop them
But now I’ve lost control….

Premium Member Competency Is Living Your Truth

Competency is living your truth
Creating your life, as if it was never really here
For it is not and cannot be as long as you are there
Looking out of a fishbowl
That needs to be broken
So you can swim in oceans, not bowls

Respect yourself enough to take the action steps now
Do not squander ten or thirty years wishing aloud
For the things you were never brave enough to go after.
Run with all of your might
Toward the you whom you have
Yearned to know since the beginning.

Pick up your sad sorry self, and wipe the
depression off your chest. scrape it with a pancake spatula
throwing it onto the sorry gray tile you have always hated
Set fire to the TV and the computer.
You are opportunity.
You are possibility.
You are invincible.
Go out naked, into the light.
Throw open the sun.
Just go,
Create the faerie pirate queen
You know is inside pounding to get out.
