Premium Member Prisoner of Poetry

When my muse ruled
my conscience's compass,
waterfalls of rhyming rivers
revealed unspoken secrets -
long forgotten in my heart.
Exposing vulnerable verses
from vaults where vines
had wrapped my tongue
into subdued silence.

In the Injustices of
judicial juxtaposition,
speech spoke in a
paradoxical oxymoron -
'deafening silence'

Pouring in drops of crimson,
I became a convicted cliché,
taken hostage in a
Machiavellian marketplace,
where I felt illiterate - harassed,
by insidious guards and
anapestic gangsters.

In the personification
of confinement,
where word weavers
are poetically unapologetic,
virtual villains ventured
to plagiarize my vocabulary.
An enjambment of envious
eyes attempted to burn
my anthology of alliterations,
so I buried each chapter
in a communal garden,
under a galaxy of ghazals,
hoping pantoum petals,
would bloom in scarlet
stanzas with sophisticated
syllables of rhythmic refrains.

Agitated by
artificial assonance,
my artistry is an
analogy of angst,
where cathartic couplets
of consistent consonance
care not for iambic ideologies.

My elusive elegy is the
legacy of my resistance,
as in my melancholy,
I'll forever be a
misunderstood metaphor.
Silencing intrusive ink,
to prevent another massacre.
With no concern for applause,
I've removed the
garlands of sakura chains.
For I'm no longer a
prisoner of poetry,
but my muse's musk

still remains....

Premium Member A Rose In The Garden Of Love

The swathing grandeur of my mesmerizing garden
the northern wind sweeps away in the arctic gale,
the pallid patina of the distressed florid petals
freezes beneath the withering frost of discontent.

Seraphic spring saunters with ripples of rapture in the air
from the garden of Eden up above the veil of blue,
the spectrum of hues cascades in splendored shower,
as dormant beauty blooms again in my listless garden.

From the yonder woods flows with fragrant fervor
the musical resonance of the serenading breeze,
its captivating cadence set in harmonic congruence
with the enticing tune of robin’s song in dulcet dawn.

On cobbled floral path meandering in the sunray maze,
garlanding the satin shadow of the verdant banyan tree,
the wafting leaves revive to rustle the romantic whisper,
the murmur riding the melody waves of my longing.

The beguiled buds unfurl their poignant petals,
daisies and marigolds blossom with lustrous faces,
looking at the solitary sapling spreading tender bough,
holding between the caring leaves a red rose, I adore.

In the surge of chromatic glimmer of the sunburst morn,
floating on the fervent flood of the silken scarlet hue,
your aura drifts on the yearning wings of a butterfly,
embraces the rose of rhapsody in the garden of my love.

Premium Member Born To Deceive

He was clearly a child of evil and schooled with a single task to eviscerate people in the name of greed. The attendees were clearly frozen and the
speaker was well trained to tantalize his audience with his words and the tone of his voice. There is merit to being a questioner because the human mind can easily be pulled into the consuming vortex of expert rip-off artists. I was fortunate enough to be with a friend who is an expert discerner of fraud who
prepared me to beware of such lest I also be compelled to take the plunge into his whirlpool of deception.

Even I, a virtual novice at dividing liars from truth-tellers and separating goats from sheep became curious within 5 minutes of his speech. His promises had the smell of being fallacious, and too few of us were none the wiser having eyes able to see every color but scarlet.

The speaker skillfully used the movements of his hands and body language which easily hid the pathway to his heart. When his speech was over, the long line formed to shake the hands of a charismatic genius. He was by far a crafty and skillful bewilder of the lowest kind.

Premium Member Tetelestai: It Is Finished

Dear Jesus,
You are my kinsman Redeemer,
without you, I'd be alone, separated from God,
But now I'm atoned, for you fulfilled the law!
On the cross, just before you died…
You cried, “Tet-el-estai! You cried, “Tet-el-estai”!

You said, “It is finished” Redeeming your kin,
“it is finished”, you paid the debt for my sin!
You marked it all paid in full,
Sin's scarlet is cleaned whiter than wool…oh oh oh Thank you…, thank you Jesus!

Dear Jesus
My hope and advocate
Oh ill never forget the sacrifice you've made
You defend me against the accuser
And you always prevail cause he's a loser
You made this perfectly clear when on the cross you cried, ““Tet-el-estai!
Oh yes, You cried, “Tet-el-estai!

You said, “It is finished” proclaiming that I can go free! “it is finished”, There's no judgement on me!
The enemy is just wasting his breath…For you defeated him and the penalty of death…oh oh oh Thank you…, thank you Jesus!

Dear Jesus,
King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Oh you are coming with fire in your eyes, and a two edged sword…the battle has already been won…Jesus you are the victorious King, and on the cross your work was done.
And you proclaimed this with your final cry,
“Tet-el-estai! Oh yes, You cried, “Tet-el-estai!

Yes you cried, “it is finished, the battle is over!”
“ It is finished, the enemy is no more!”
Death and hell, Satan, sin and the grave,
are defeated forevermore,My children are saved!
And we cry, with our hands lifted high, “Tet-el-estai!
“Tet-el-estai! , “Tet-el-estai!
Yess we cry, with hands lifted high....“Tet-el-estai!

Julia's Delusion

Julia sought scarlet roses of Fall
that wildly grew by a pristine shore,
she picked one, then took them all;
why thousands of them, or even more...
after having been wounded by the horrible lies
of that lover with green, deceiving eyes?

O deluded Julia, why do you sleep
on roses petals instead of sleeping in a comfortable bed?
Do they remind you of his tempting red lips?
Didn't he take all the joy from you and made you weep?
O heartbroken Julia, his memory can made you very sad:
he only gave you delusive love through brief happiness!

Julia, don't return to that beautiful and scented garden
where you watered roses with an obsessive thoughtfulness;
why fill up your yellow straw basket with more rose petals?
Pose for a single minute to let go of illusion...
admire spring's splendor by not listening to his alluring voice!
Thorns will poke your delicate hands....
they'll bleed increasing your delusion
to ever feel wanted or be loved again!

Premium Member An Ebony Night

Feeling smug about its certainty,
night anticipates the day's demise.
And as scattered clouds of grey gather;
blue finds sanctuary in your eyes.

As twilight colors a stained-glass sky,
a scarlet sun reluctantly sinks.
And dusk dilutes the essence of light,
scribbling silhouettes in blackened inks.

Vermilion tints the far horizon,
as flashing fireflies light up the night.
And nature inks magical moments;
choreographing their dance with light.

Darkness descends like a shroud of smoke,
snuffing out the last lingering light.
And in the fabric of time and space;
stars confetti an ebony night.

A golden moon shines down from above;
gilding ripples in a wishing well.
And silence mutes the beat of two hearts
held captive, in love's hypnotic spell.

Premium Member Jewels In a Dusk Sky

Idle hours move graciously into the dead of night
When sea waves keep rushing onto the shore
As jewels fall from open skies replenishing
Life’s rivers flowing into me, making me
rich once more!

The scarlet skies bedecked in ruby and gold
Touching the emerald sea in stories told
Clouds bursting out in scarlet orchid blooms
Or was the sky planning to set fire to the moon?

My eyes touched upon the shores of light
Gathering enough jewels to wear tonight
The evening star like a diamond shone
Skies of sapphire wearing a star alone!

The moon bedecked in blazing silver
A silver medallion on a thick black chain
Nature showing me all that she owns
Making me feel rich, sitting on her throne!

Premium Member Komorebi

The thicket trees look up allured to the rising scarlet sun,
draping them with the patina of pristine sparkle soaring high.
For the thrilled trees the cosmic color symphony has begun,
as the lighted woods lifts the canvas of crown to the sky.

The surmounting sun behind the charcoal cloud slices a hole,
the sequins in streaks of the tunnel beam strike the canopy,
the lattice of leaves lets the slant spectrum fleetingly roll,
starts the show of light and shadow in kaleidoscope of komorebi.

In the whispering wind the beguiled boughs quietly quiver,
make dancing mystique motif of enmeshed shimmer and shade.
The essence of ecstasy the radiant trees give me with glowing shiver,
conveying to cleave to it until the tinged tinsels of twilight fade.

The foliage splits the sunrays in the tangled tunnels bright,
fashioning the flashing patterns on the ground gloomy.
The forest regains its tunnel illumination lost in the night,
demarcates delighted the lighted pathway in the maze for me.

When despair drives dark clouds in my dreary sky,
dismal deluge makes in the mind a channel of strife,
in the copse of being serenity sunrays make blissful art, I descry
as the komorebi of hope that illumines the tunnel of my life.
