And what is love then?
can you tell me my friend?
is it something I can find?
is it some sort of spell?
has it be seen by anyone?
does it live anywhere?
is it only for the chosen ones?
or for any mongrel on earth?
And what is love then?
I'm feeling a little bit lost
nobody can really explain
the meaning of that word
is it something to achieve?
is it something we can score?
is it some sort of mystery
that I need to solve?
And what is love then?
does it even exist?
or is is just a ghost
crying on the street
dragging heavy chains
calling for its kids
regretting every decision made
begging for mercy?
And what is love then?
come on give me a hand
is it a name carved on a tree
or a heart drawn on the sand?
is it what I feel for my kid?
is it what I felt for man?
or is it only a sweet mirage
and the biggest cruelest scam?
And what is love then?
I really want to know
does it live up high?
does it live down low?
did I drop it by accident?
and it's covered with snow?
do you really know about it?
or just like me... you're not sure at all?

Somewhere out west
Stars stated they were the best
Back in the sunshine land
Retribution wrestled with a theatrical plan
Disrupting a championship watched by virtual fans
Before this was going on
Celebrities were two down
Staying calm
Despite this lurking evil bomb
Getting a pair down the stretch
Overtime period slated a nice catch
Stars snuck one in
Sending the Knights home meeting with next of kin
Mrs. Knight who was not a fan
Thought the whole thing was an icy scam
On the mountain top
Her husband heroics ready to stop
Wanting him home
From those obsessed using cell phones
Hearing the call for a simple life
Spent hugging his lovely wife
No kissing any cup
Maybe raise a dog starting as a pup
Cut the hair
Golden locks no longer an affair
Memories worth a share
Especially when joined by friends and family who care
Honeymoon has drawn to a close
Next chapter maybe will have new foes
Written in poetic pose
What it is about? Who knows?
Right now, it is love that shows
Happily ever after I suppose
You don’t know how parted we are
Uncharted we are
The piano keys sooth the turbulent sea and music melts the burning icebergs
Pride sinking a ship…giving into nature
Hands severed and torn, pressing lightly on the stained ivory
The creatures are mourning for the death of loved ones
While men in white laugh, masked by the ghosts of their own insanity
Stained with foreign blood
People speak out against it while many others follow me to the grave
Like the single stone in the chalk piece scrapes against the black board
We feel the pain with our empathetic minds without having to hear the chalky cries
Subconscious we are transformed…informed
Knowing that once parted, no earthquake can make us whole again
We couldn’t visit her today…he was forced to go
The mercy found in these crevices is buried in the snow
I hate it when I can’t find words to describe the way I feel
I would like to tell him how I feel…but the air
Is too thick here…
And the sea parts us…blue eyes are merely brown…
The grass is greener there
We’re all the same…we fear…we cry
The web still weaves us together but dew tears stick to the strands
And flies that we feed on destroy the unity of the intricate network
Reassuring words mend temporarily…but you leave again
Hairs grow gray and the black stickiness is fresh once more
Light pours in canyons of crayons…the flower is a scam
The smell of childhood lighting up our lives with the little fuel we have
Jealously thrives through…and they won’t stop touching them
Some look into the mirror and cry everyday…
Bruises turn to gold and they sell artifacts already sold
The buzzing vibration of my phone is ignored tonight…
I’m on my last bar…
I’m dying…I really am
Dying to know WHY. Dying to give life
Parting the lands to flood obscurity…
Pangaea, what can make you whole again?

In a covered wagon he travelled west
For every ailment he had a cure
His miracle oil he claimed was the best
People he conned were the sick and the poor.
In remote towns he would set up his scam
Helped by two' friends' in the crowd for his trick
Who' volunteered' but were part of the sham
Arthur the cripple and poor sighted Mick.
But they were fed up of his trickery
And exposed him to the crowd in the town
The conman shouted" Mick what can you see"?
Mick said "nothing, I heard Arthur fall down"
Snake oilman was speechless and he went pale
The townsfolk seized him and threw him in jail.

You threaten me…
like intimidation is a skill you mastered.
Even in Purple Month,
when women are supposed to be celebrated,
protected,
uplifted—
you still choose violence
like it’s a personality trait.
To you, our pain is just a concept.
A poster.
A speech someone else must give.
Never you.
You open fake Facebook accounts in my name—
wearing my identity
like a stolen jacket.
Posting pictures of me
like you bought me,
like you own me,
like my face is something you’re entitled to.
You spread lies about me
because truth has never loved you back.
You scam people in my name
because your own name
is too empty
to stand on its own.
You threaten to kill me
for leaving.
You promise to send gangsters my way
because freedom—for me—
feels like disrespect to you.
But every morning
I whisper to myself:
“It can be done.”
And every night
I thank myself
because I’m doing it.
Without you.
And that—
that’s what burns you the most, isn’t it?
That my life gets better
and better
daily,
even without you.
Still I grow.
Still I rise.
Still I get thicker,
stronger,
happier—
without you.
Our “love” died the day I said hubby
and you replied,
cold as metal,
“I’m not your hubby. I didn’t marry you.”
That’s the day I knew—
I was pouring love into a grave
and calling it a future.
So go ahead.
Threaten.
Lie.
Create a hundred stolen versions of me online.
Do whatever helps you pretend
you still matter in my story.
Because the real me?
The woman who walked away?
She is untouchable.
Unbreakable.
Reborn.
Engaged
Purple. Powerful.
Protected by her own strength.
And no gangster,
no fake account,
no whispered threat
will ever dim the light
I reclaimed.
why i took a chance and
decided to try the new poetry
dot com sight started off great
two months ago until i noticed
a strange mans face with
my name and poem completely
beside myself not a racist
bone in my body being mixed
myself half Italian Native American
and African American raised by
Irish aunts why i have given birth
to a complete rainbow tribe from
French Spanish Irish Somali
African Costa Rica Jamaican
Panamanian British children
and grandchildren just to be clear
this was just the description
of the man next to my poem
called what we need he was
bearded not to tidy white
caucasion nothing to do with
poetry at all scam i began trying
to remove him but for some reason
poetry not com desired to allow
him to stay i am glad i only had
one poem just to test the waters
clearly i deleted my account
with them my name user account
all deleted i began reading more about
poetry not com they are a scam unlike
Howard Ely academy of american poets
Baltimore in which i posted thousands of
poems that poetry .com sold 2007 to lulu
which went bankrupt this new sight has
absolutely no affiliates with the old poetry.com
with Howard Ely it was fraud actually asked for
my credit card information to remove this
guy they obviously added to my poem
the nerve wow very very eerie at any rate
stay safe on this web of hackers many blessings
Happy Easter Everyone.
My Poem:
What we need
what we need
is unity
in a diverse world
what we need
is to unite
who we need
is you and me
this indeed
is what we need

I worry
the youth are the future
of tomorrow
is true but a scam
in hope of this very future
we are tied to standstill
we find it hard to reach
what is our right
despite the famous slogan
our reality still remains
same standstill
if am a youth
I see our future
if this same realities
we bear continues so
I worry
I worry
cos the lips that says
the truth are few
the truth no longer
bear good material fortune
any more
no wonder the lips
of humans today are
full of illusion
the youth no longer hear
a lot of truth from their mentors
cos they also know no truth cos
materialism is the new god
in our world today
so evil are praise
as long as is material profitable
now tell me why if not
I worry
I worry
I worry cos elders nowadays
don't guide our creativity no more
they are busy killing the world
in search of power
the youth are not in the real
picture of their aim
if not to achieved their goals
we are more or less tools
In a system that told us
that were are the future leaders
of tomorrow
what else can we be proud of
when we are not given a chance
what else do they expect us
to become
when we are hungry
so tell me why
if not keep your distance
cos as long as we are not
In the right picture today
our tomorrow
is enough reason why
I worry
There was a land, and on this land lived sheep.
Like all good sheep, they had their rules to keep.
They lived on farms in their own different flocks,
sleeping, socializing, and taking walks
to find green grass on which they liked to graze.
They mostly lived in peace, but in a haze!
They did not see above them the entities-
(overlords controlling their destinies).
Most sheep were unaware of this, so they
just lived their lives since when as ewes they’d play,
content to later let themselves get fed
or by dogs (which were like police) be led!
The evil overlords who ruled them all
decided on each farm to put a wall,
assuring all of them be forced to eat
a strange new food which tasted rather sweet.
Seeing some sheep dying (even ewes dropped dead) -
a few sheep would not let themselves be fed
These rebel sheep cried out, “Let’s take a stand.
Green grass outside our walls is being banned!”
In protest, they lay down, prepared to perish,
denied the grassy land they’d grown to cherish.
They even found some mud and rolled in it.
The other sheep baa-baaed them, bleating “Quit!
Quit being idiots. Do as you’re told.
We’re sheep, you know. It’s good to be controlled.”
Just then, inside one farm, a wall came down.
The sheep on that farm gathered all around.
The rebels cried, “Perhaps it is a scam!”
when there appeared one of their own – a ram.
With rushing hooves, sheep followed that ram through
a pretty field, but where did it lead to?
There was a cliff which the ram went over.
Behind him followed every sheep pushover.
Three rebels saw what happened, and they tried
to flee their farm to warn all sheep worldwide.
Would other walls come down, each with a ploy?
What other mean schemes would their lords employ?
A tragicomedy needs to be light,
and so to make this story kind of right,
I’ll say a revolution came to pass,
and sheep again are gazing on green grass.

Think the jollies are starting to return
Told you I wouldn't stay down long
Not those kind of jollies, you naughty people
Thought you might get me wrong
You people, you really should be ashamed
What kind of dude d'ya think I am
I'm quite respectable and live a clean life
But in reality it's all just a scam
Sometimes I'll be hanging from the chandelier
Overcome be these jollies I enjoy
Dribbling and drooling to beat the band
Talk about jollies, ooooh boy!
Must be careful at this extremely old age
Not as agile as I once used to be
So if you happen to hear a bulletin on CNN
Man falls from chandelier, it's me!
