Features: fugacious fascinating beat
I saw smoke, but no flames in sight
I caught a cynosure of elusive heed
Fourteen redolent rifts were recorded
Oddly scripted, akin to grain ears
or stalks of rhubarbs in diaphanous vibes
Love came, wrapped in dulcet skin
Upon palms with comely lines, ceased.
A seraglio within a flesh
Where a vase holds a full moon
And a drape of hues: tan, blue, and gray.
Pink echoes linger in the same vase
As drove of doves drifting down an abyss
I hit a home run with white silk rope wings
And forefeel fountains flowing freely
where my dreams are the hue of spring
In a diamond outfit, I'll reach paradise
Slowly, I caress the lavish swirl of phloxes
Adopt time to hear your dizzy murmurs.
Why is it love-shaped if it's not mine? You query
A vast stretch of soil shrouded in mist
Dawn rises from its decor of the virgin sky.
My love for you remains unwavering
Love is trapped on a limb, suspended in the air
Whether stored with mustard or soy
or fragments of an unfinished haiku
The heart of love calls for a spry stir
by milk-stained palms and sour cream
A heart so grand, burdened by weariness.
Today dawns with a pristine sky
For the scenery and the stream
slashing across ropes of sapphire
A blend of cyan and white.
I discovered this to be accurate
To love is to shatter the gates of heaven
Stripping a night star from its vastness
Only to put it in a desolate roof garden
even if it blossoms for a single night
Only to perish the following dawn
My shears sprang to life, ready to trim
I may have loved the size of the cosmos,
In a fleeting point, unguarded and sublime.
Enamel strings and skeins entwined
In love, everything seems ostentatious
Words extravagantly rhymed, flowing lyrics
Crafted in vibrant shades of captivating art.
Like bookends, Grandma and Grandpa —
those smiles — only one wears the apron
and the music, classical and gypsy
I was glowing in their eyes, growing
only for one who kept her pride of me,
when for the longest time, inferiority.
Blessing of a Hungarian household
we left just in time for the drama to build
there was rifts, crashes and death
and in one Poughkeepsie starter home
no Christmas tree to be found in 1962
Did we feel the sudden sadness —
my dad’s heart imploding — his dad’s
book closed, forever...forever stretches out
reality is a sudden blowout
only now in his wrinkled years
can he leak information from his tears

Grateful am I to God*, my blessings’ Source…
Benefit-supplies of heavenly course;
Mercy and grace He abundantly pours
Sufficed with contentment along love’s force.
With faith-driven triumph, I thank Christ’s gifts:
Forgiveness from sins’ guilt, truly heart-lifts
Peace of mind frees my soul from hatred rifts
Along answered prayers for needy drifts.
I worship the Lord midst thanksgiving praise
For family and friends with caring grace
Prodding me to share for others’ hope-brace
Full of joy; devoid of selfishness’ trace.
*1Thessalonians 5:18 "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Quote : “In our quest for the answers of life we tend to make order out of chaos, and chaos out of order.” – Jeffrey Fry
In the quest of life, I ponder days long past,
Sweet memories linger, love's echoes cast.
Dreaming of romance, hearts closely bound,
Ignoring the bitter, where rifts were found.
A dream world unfolds, affection's embrace,
A haven where complaints find no firm place.
A paradise of love, smiles intertwined,
In a realm where sweet accord is enshrined.
Yet present days unfold with hurdles dire,
Obstacles rising, like mountains entire.
Reality's grip, emotions held so tight,
Struggling with differences, shadows in sight.
In this complex dance of future and past,
I dwell, seeking warmth that will ever last.
Living each day, hope within my breast,
A quest for grace, in life's eternal quest.
There's a darkness in me I've faced, chased, and sought erased. I've watched it grow and I've watched it shrink and it gave me time to think. This darkness exists purely of my own volition and I've given it voice and a mission. When I sift through the memories and drift through all the rifts and pains that stain my heart so badly I wish to rip it apart I find solace in one fact. One ironclad fact and that fact is that I still exist in a mist of pale blue hues and if I were to ever ignite the fuse it would set aflame my earnest muse. I was once told my eyes speak only lies. Then I was told my eyes held everything to despise and I cut ties with the world around me hoping to set free the darkness in me. Instead in that moment I made it grow larger until it threatened to consume. And I presume it was in that moment the pain would in fact resume. The darkness became a blight great enough to become my greatest plight on this nominal night.
But...there was another who said my eyes were wise and this dark guise was just a way to disguise a life of loneliness and phoniness. And maybe I can be forgiven when I've wanted to give in. A few seconds and one last breath, I was aware I could bring my very own death. But, send the Grim Reaper for I could not bring my own end. Reality around me could shatter but to at least one person I just want to feel like I matter. A person to hold me, and mold me into a being embraced not by the shadows but by the light. I'm running out of strength to fight this all on my own. A battle with demons is no battle to fight alone. Not when I've been shown I still have time to atone and reveal how much I've grown.
The truth is the darkness in me does not define me. Nor does it design me. It aligns with me. But ours is a marriage of circumstance and this dance is to be brief if I'm to ever find relief. So one last time I use rhyme to sap the strength of the shadows and wipe away all of the grime left behind. Tonight is the night I set free the darkness in me.

Just had shrimp and grits
Beside scrambled eggs whipped up with a whisk
Been a long time since
I've had some fish and chips
Went on many different trips
Some of which
Were on ships
And others were above waterfalls and cliffs
Back in the day always shot a swish
And used bats or baseball mitts
I've always been fond of any solar and lunar eclipse
Something I never again want to miss
In the burbs and sticks
I give you my word on this
Who exactly know what lies in every single abyss
And down the rifts
Sites where people worship
Things that still do or no longer exist
In the form of statues and sacred monoliths
Certain tools and items on the fritz
In dire need of replacement or a fix
She made a wish
Then gave me a kiss
With her tongue and lips
So many have said life's a ""
I'm so far from rich
So I put more effort into it
Regardless of if
At times it's hit
And miss
Never going to quit, always using wit
Around the splits and twists
The car starting to drift
As the tires work to find a grip
Been taking risks
From the first past the fifth
Eversince I was six
Haven't yet found my niche
Only caught a glimpse
Bought some new gloves and kicks
And gave my other ones away for free as gifts
One too many cysts
And hardly any zits
Above the wick
The flame flicks
On candlesticks
The path ahead was slick
Had to watch your footing or you could slip
Do you like the left or the right side of the Twix?
Will we ever fully understand the hierogylphs?
Now how many things have you accomplished
And checked off the list?
Under a full moon, she made a wish
That one day, she would find her prince
She found what she was looking for, and was in a state of bliss
Her spirit continuing to lift
Such a change and shift

As Samuel saw vaulted Xanadu of Kublai Khan fame
In smoke-filled corridors of sweat-drenched Opium-eaters
Did I spy a vision so surreal as to render all my sentient senses to nought
And to replace them with a miasma of arcane thoughts.
I glimpsed of things most unimagined through vaporous clouds
Of effulgent smoke from wampums more confusing
than the peace of amity that it connoted.
Through numbing mind yet not fully suppressed
I beheld many-pillared corridors in a dazzling sequence
Of multi-hued columns - Doric, Ionian and Corinthian.
And through this tortuous labyrinthine maze ran
A languorous limpid stream off a meander
From an ox-bow lake, with a murmurous mutter
As it hop scotched the rifts on the floor.
With Cyclopean vision, floating wraith-like, in the distance
I beheld a dazzling high-domed hall,
The dazzle from a myriad gorgeous maidens
Each draped in dresses so diaphanous as to defy its definition!
And a prima donna sang in sonorous counterpoint to the susurration of the stream.
From up on high like a falcon flighted,
In anachronistic contrast I verily beheld
A jeaned and jacketed - Angelina Jolie!
It was then that I confirmed to myself -
My mind had truly busted!
Lovers, in their tender hours of closeness,
When love is breathed in warm, whispered sweetness,
With smiles resplendent, budding fair as blossoms,
Joy arose immediately, boundless in its measure.
It seemed divine in dreams, and soft to the soul;
Even by day, it trembled the heart at his approach.
She too is inflamed with delight like a fiery, folded scroll –
Their veins aquiver for a graceful morning touch.
It’s hurting how feelings drift, tide-like, in the heart;
How in a glimpse, revulsion pierces the nerves,
Siphoning the joy, till breakups kindled from sharp retorts,
And only silent scars betrays where love once served.
Then quarrels rose, enshrined in those deepening rifts,
Begetting solitude, which afterwards – is unveiled sorrow.
Love’s smiling breath withdrew – like a fleeting wraith –
Dimming the rooms once warm, as light turned hollow.
Some claims, love was set to be purified in contention,
A trial of truth – perhaps, though denied of pure intention.
Yet still, we yearn for love to bloom with a pure reflection,
With steadfast shields against fate’s vicious direction.
Trials if endured, embroiders the heart and grow,
With rooted joy from strife – without courting its woe.

Shouting..salient sentient sentiment
Pouting pleasure leisure experiment
No doubting a serious impediment
Flouting the sprouting environment
Touting something really prescient
Worry routing this treasure
Beyond measure to our detriment
Admit..bit of a predicament
But experiment on a mountain outing
Surmounting the shiny crystal quilt
Sorry no guilt...in my element
Wishing I'm sliding..swooshing
Swishing..gliding..curving
Whizzing...riding...whooshing
Fizzing....whirring...swerving
Brutality of wintry tiding shrouds
Blue & white fanned duality
Astonished polarity..polished parity
Planned alternative grand reality
Beautifully bland strands...expands similarity
Understand totality of bright clarity
Wonderland spanned above the clouds
Classes canned..sunglasses on ...getting tanned
Swift lifts shift over drifts like a yo yo tow
Traverse perverse crevasses..skift rifts in a row
Passes scanned..escape the crowds… go tally ho
The lust to move with gusto.. to & fro
Adjust to the smooth groove...boho
Mojo.. august fears thrust..heave ho
Off mighty cliffs go gung ho.
Dafter go for bust or after
Splif*s just riffs of lets go slow
Depravity of a tight cavity
Leap but too steep..too deep
Land in a cheap heap hilarity
There is an olden golden friend
On whom you might rightly depend
Helps you bend..wonderfully sweep
Descend...let rip...zoom..slip...nip to the end
Giddy delight & trip fillip of the legend
That is "Gravity"!
Ancient aliens rise
from sandy caves and rifts
lay open hidden truths and gifts
in revealing their demise.
The possibilities of Jupiter and Mars arrival
hint that we are the civilizations continued survival.
Those secrets that lay beneath the surf
were purposely well hidden in the dirt of earth.
Revealed through recovered and deciphered texts and script
the purveyors of modern day interpreted manuscripts,
speak a language of the past unfastened
while today slips easily away not lasting, ever passing.
Perhaps it is only what is left of us
and we have lived before upon this enduring crust.
Who will remain in the futures soon to be past
to relay the truth of who we are and what we cast?
Ancient aliens rise once more
and tell
the story well
of who we were.
