Wrestling With God

[please note: this poem is dedicated to those who take neither the Divine nor its absence for granted.]

For almost half a century
I have wrestled with God.
Our unseen match is daily,
in my bed before I sleep,
at the table after a meal,
sometimes while driving
along a lonely, desolate road
and always while watching
the evening news with its
graphic proof of humanity's
stupidity and wickedness,
over and over and over....

I try to pin Him,
to keep Him in one place,
to hold Him just long enough
to see, to know, to understand.

Sometimes I think
I almost have Him but no...
He always, always slips away....

Of course it is not a fair match--
my little brain that can hold
but one lonely thought at a time,
my hands, once powerful,
now arthritic, with crooked fingers
still trying to grasp at Divinity...
but even when young and strong
I could not hold Him--still,
we wrestle, God and me,
and sometimes I suspect He wants
me to win, but mostly no:
I know I'll never pin Him down--
not in this life, not in this world,
yet still He lets me try....

I think He likes it when I try.

We will always shine brightly like stars

For all the Lightworkers and their loved ones. It's a challenging path but we'll get through it. Blessings, Love and Light.

We will always shine brightly like stars

Younger, I could do it all again
This starting over thing
Sometimes it seems to never end
Change is inevitable, darling

Remember that you
Always have a choice
Even when it doesn't feel like it
You can always use your voice

You're the next generation
I did everything to make it easier for you
And yet, it seems to be a complete failure
I kind of feel like such a fool

What was it that I sacrificed more?
Our Time and Innocence?
Or our Hope and Faith in Source?
Come now, come now; let's Pray and Believe in Miracles

Jaded is not a place I want us to end up
You know that optimism is contagious
Let's do our best to survive and thrive
Let's do our best to fight the demons every day

Nothing is ever truly lost to us
Although I know it often feels that way
So many opportunities and lessons
It gets more complicated by the day

I know the voices are screaming in our heads
And the silence is welcome every moment
But we can't bury our heads in the sand
We have to rise like a phoenix each time

All the Synchronicities and Signs
All the Angels that lay feathers on our path
All of Heaven is standing beside us
We are warriors in an army invincible

I know that you are feeling weary
And I can assure you that I do too
But the ordained path is wise and pure
We cannot forsake ourselves and the Collective

So much Good is created by us each day
The Light hunts the Darkness and wins
No matter how broken and bruised we feel
Heaven will mend our Hearts and Souls

Let's remember to stand strong now
Let's remember how powerful we are
Even when the Darkness tries to cover us
We will always shine brightly like stars

Premium Member A New True Dynasty

There are teams

There are great teams
Then, there are dynasties
In the world of women's sports
There have been few that measure up

To the 2019 USA Women's World Cup Soccer Team
Every one of these 23 talented women
Has been groomed for this purpose their whole lives
Playing, working, training, focusing, listening, watching, and concentrating

On ONE thing ... The World Cup Trophy
The pressure, rarely equaled, has been applied
The stories, countless and controversial, have been written
The stats, meaningful and managed, have been studied

The criticism, fair and false, has been aimed
The opponents, powerful and prideful, have been prepared
And the games, intense, exciting, and incredible, have finally been played
Now ONE team - one amazing team - stands alone atop the rest

Holding that storied golden trophy high ... high and noble and proud
Forty-six valiant hands that have set a new standard for sports
Not just women's sports, but ALL sports
A new standard for what it means to work and play as a TEAM

A new standard for excellence and class and athleticism
Congratulations and blessings to the USA
And the 2019 Women's World Cup Championship Soccer Team
A team for the ages ... a team for the people ...

And a dynasty, tried and true!

Premium Member You Are My God And I Am Your Goddess

I thought I am more alike to Mother Kali,
A lone warrior, so powerful and pretty.
But with you I realize I am your Lakshmi,
A goddess of tenderness and prosperity.

I thought I'd never find someone like Vishnu,
But you're named after an Avatar of him too,
And your strength helps me follow through
All of the good changes I now want to do.

I thought I'd never find love that feels divine,
A love in which I feel one is simply all mine.
Now I've found you, everything falls into line.
Now I finally feel that life is more than fine.

I thought I would always remain alone,
Until you told how quickly love has grown.
You made real my wishes you hadn't known,
So I'll be the bestest love to you ever shown.

Alice Through The Wormhole

The wormhole led them to a desert,
where they could see dunes ahead.
The elf looked at Alice, nodded, and smiled.
She understood what his smile meant.
A few hours later, they stood in front of the dunes
When suddenly sentinels appeared around them.
Alice looked at the elf, and he smiled at her again.
She wondered why he smiled at every encounter.
The elf whispered some words,
The sentinels merged into one another and disintegrated.
He stretched his hand toward the dunes,
and they all flattened out.
Alice's eyes widened in amazement as cacti sparkled like diamonds.
As they approached,
The cacti grew tall and large,
and water gushed out from them,
And Alice and the elf were carried to the shores of an island.
They were lifted by giant birds to a rainbow castle.
There, Alice saw the book of seven seals,
a powerful book that restored the seven lost kingdoms,
where Alice would continue her adventures.

My God

My God is shy and generous
He knows the secret of tenderness
Just like my mother
He loves me in strange, unpredictable ways
Just like my father
I gave him my sister`s clumsiness and sincerity
 My brother`s loud laugh,
 My grandmother`s dark, wise eyes
He walks slowly like my grandfather
He resembles my family that
Enlightened the paths of my childhood
He sings our favorite songs,
Dazzling the universe with their beauty
He listens to me and talks to me
 Sometimes I interrupt him
But he doesn`t mind
This God is powerful and confused
This God is weird, quiet and kind
When I approach him, I am filled up
With love of life
Although I know that
The sadness will return again

Premium Member Signature Ring

Unique
As she was
Once so vibrant
Powerful
And invincible

Not much left of her now
Other than precious memories
And her signature ring
That I so treasure

I have a secret
I’ll share with you only
Come close
Let me whisper in your ear

My grand-mother’s ring is magical
When I look into the diamond
And without any effort on my part
Coming to life at will
Her hand appears out of thin air
Filling out the ring
And the rest of her body follows
Like an inflatable version of herself
She never speaks
She just smiles

Premium Member FAITH IN GOD WHO GIVES US OUR PETITION

March 27 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on 1Samuel 1-3

Key Verse – 1Samuel 1:27 For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him.

FAITH IN GOD WHO GIVES US OUR PETITION

God gives us our petition with His grace
Ever bountiful upon His salvation-brace
Surely answering our prayers by His wondrous ways
For us and our faith to continue yielding to Him in all our days.

God gives us our petition with His fullness
Ever timely upon His goodness
Surely granting provisions to our neediness
For us and our faith to cleave to His trustworthiness.

God gives us our petition with His mercy
Ever great upon His satisfaction’s sufficiency
Surely responding to our supplication-fervency
For us and our faith to grow along service-persistency.

God gives us our petition with His compassion
Ever kind upon His forgiveness for our sanctification
Surely pardoning our confessed sin and transgression
For us and our faith to rely on Him toward holy direction.

God gives us our petition with His might
Ever powerful upon His strengthening height
Surely fortifying our commitment by His Word, always right
For us and our faith to increase while serving Him with delight.

God gives us our petition with His approval
Ever pleasant upon His ready revival
Surely kindling our worship toward thanksgiving upheaval
For us and our faith to keep on doing His will until Christ’s arrival.

God gives us our petition with His favour
Ever honourable upon His love’s fervour
Surely exhorting our spirituality to pursue for divine flavour
For us and our faith to show Him a sweet-smelling savour.

In the Midst of War

Thick gravy mud incessantly pulling at my boots,
Sucking and squelching it’s distaste at its failure with each step I evade its clutches,
Brown hail flying in all directions ripping into flesh and taking eyes,
Ears reverberating with the excruciating din of falling shells,
Accompanied with the desperate screams of my comrades.
Like hells orchestra,
Low rumbles culminating in shrieking sopranos,
Piercing, Deafening,
It’s very lack of percussion spreads fear throughout the ranks,
Through it all there comes a sinister silence,
The true calm before the next storm,
Medics being screamed for in every direction,
Instructions being bellowed to grasp some pathetic sense of order,
In this chaotic pandemonium we push on without hope,
Following orders,
The crescendo of destruction starts again,
Louder, Angrier,
The poetic lunacy of dying in vain,
Our last moments played out like some poorly written depraved play,
Cannon fodder,
Our own remains serving as the uneven carpet of sickly maroon within our trench,
The smell so powerful that I baulk,
Eyes constantly stinging and streaming,
All my senses being flayed in unison,
This is the price we pay for your freedom,
This is the truth of what we endure,
So many deserving so much yet left with so little,
Lest we forget,
Lest we forget.
Lest we forget.

Premium Member Contagion, the Movie, Plays Out In Real Life

If you had told me in 2011 that the Steven Soderbergh movie,
"Contagion," would one day play out in real life, I would've probably
laughed at you. It seemed like Hollywood fiction nine years ago.
Today, "Contagion" is literally playing out in real life!

Watch the movie now, I dare you! It's suddenly the scariest movie
ever made! It makes "The Exorcist" look like a comedy! We've lived
through the 1949 polio epidemic, and the SARS outbreak in 2003,
We've seen from afar the Ebola virus; largely limited to Africa...

but this virus, also known as "COVID-19" is a completely different animal.
Unlike Matt Damon's character in "Contagion", nobody is immune
to it. To call it a nightmare would be a gross understatement! Healthcare professionals are at their wit's end trying to control and contain it

We've never seen a paranoia-inducing monstrosity that is COVID-19.
It's an insidious, invisible foe that has left the entire world in
a state of complete paralysis; lives here in America and far beyond
have been disrupted it like never before! It keeps spreading...

like wildfire, and claiming lives at an alarming rate.
This Coronavirus pandemic has plunged the world into an abyss
of dread, but let us all cling to something infinitely powerful,
our faith. We'll get through this, by the grace of God.
