Enshrined on tapestry crimson, ruby
Purple love scintillates orchid dreams
Flaunting sensuality of magical appeal
Waltzing sweet melodies of romance;
Oh, fondly I recall our first kiss now--
It was the promise of amethyst dawn!

Swaying in colors of pink, red tulips
Love in the prairies of yellow daffodils
Setting its sights upon indigo iris
Dazzles verdant fields on butterfly wings;
Oh, playfully I recall the allure of tease--
It was the promise of vibrant spring!

Embrace of love on the opulent horizon
Watching orange glow dip in the ocean
Glittering emotions as gilded waves beckon
Spurs in twilight arousal of passions;
Oh, gaily I recall the crush of nightfall--
It was the promise of quixotic sundown!

Love yearning for blazing red meadows
Whirling desires fiery amber, brown
Gazing at fervor of mulberry evening
Seduces your aura, caressing feelings;
Oh, happily I recall the dalliance of fall--
It was the promise of autumnal awe!

But the promise I treasure adoringly now
Was enunciated in the epigram of stars
By the prophecy of moon scripted above;
Oh, intimately I recall bliss of Shangri-la--
It was the promise of two loving hearts!

This night the moon cast a light
for just a moment, a trust, a lust,
a gaze at the lingering lazy crowded stars.

The wind decided to play, upon its way
found its voice releasing its hold
whished a while around the ground
disturbing the old mole's layer of mold.

A roar tore through the silent moor
proposing passion through the naked, shaking trees;
never being meek, it took their boughs and danced a while.

Their get-together are always fun.

The wind promenaded into the park of yellow
blew words arousing the blue birds caressing their nesting fellows.

Lightning flashing, lighting, casting glamour over shadows,
zigzagging playfully around the meadow.

Rain of course forced a breath in and a breath out.
The ground was a blur throughout.
Gentle whispering disappears gulping in the air.

The owl gave a howling screech turning its head with a smite scowl
with that the wind decided to call it a night.

Premium Member Towards the Light

Life like glowing beings along my path
Playfully they blink as each one I pass
Windshield bathed in a luminecent bath

Around the curve I step on the gas
I feel like I am heading towards the stars
Playfully they blink as each one I pass

On a collision course with other cars
Before I know it I'm out of control
I feel like I am heading towards the stars

between the lights it's as black as coal
Help me, I don't wish to go to the light
Before I know it I'm out of control

My eyes adjust within death it is bright
Help me, I don't wish to go to the light
Life like glowing beings along my path
windshield bathed in a luminecent bath

Premium Member By a Gently Flowing Creek -

By a gently flowing creek -
   I saw a swallowtail flutter
About my head, as though meek -
And land softer than a feather.

He was large enough, I swear -
To sit in all of my hand.
He did not mind that I was there
   Or that I was entranced.

Soon, a second butterfly
Distracted him by swooping down -
His mate, I surmised.
   How fiercely they swirled around!

Then breaking up, they moored
To sup water from the red rock
Like two tasters of one accord
   Complimenting the good stock.

They bathed in the glorious sun -
Posing candidly in a beam -
As if to show their dalliance
Off for the wide world to see

Then came a convenient wind;
The two undocked at bay -
And taking quick advantage -
   They sailed playfully away.

Premium Member The Water Dance

While talking to the moon about my day
How strange, when from the east, a minstral wind
As sleeping trees began to gently sway
Dead leaves upon the ground found life again

I cast my gaze out o'er the rippling lake
The minstrel had my friend the moon entranced
Because, a billion tiny golden flakes
Were lost, as playfully he water danced

And yet somehow I didn't seem to mind
Though rudely interrupted by the winds
The moon and I can talk most any time
One reason he and I are such good friends

I wonder if you've ever had the chance
To watch the moon perform his water dance

Premium Member A Tapestry of Seasons

The moon nestles within a celestial quilt,
as the sun sleepily peeks through the indigo sky.
Chartreuse canopies sway against a mid-autumn sunrise.
Mahogany leaves, scattered upon frost-tipped, ombré blades of grass,
crackle under the patter of the feet of does.
Canadian geese flock, gliding toward home.
The inaugural snowflakes of winter flutter on teal breezes.
Inhaling the crisp morning air, it melts on cherry lips.
Warmth from the sun's silhouette dances playfully on curious hands.
The scent of freshly brewed coffee wraps you in comfort,
Whilst a monarch butterfly rests on the last dandelion fiercely holding on.
As the threads of autumn gingerly unravel,
they reweave into winter's aquamarine tapestry,
the transition of seasons bringing forth a time of peaceful reflection.

Dark haired Anne of Green Gables
Freckles and playfully naughty giggle
Hailed from Prince Edward Island

Easygoing bon vivant friendly nature
Everyone couldn’t help but love you
Your nonchalant laissez-faire demeanour
Often made you look as cute as Pippi Longstocking

You were a friendship magnet
People couldn’t get enough of you
Everyone wanted a piece of your energy
Your exuberant joyful freedom
Hoping a bit of your magic would wear off on them

You never doubted about the true treasures of life
When you talked about the fields of daisies down home
Your eyes teared up with nostalgia

When you did move back for good
It was a cruel jolt to us
We were sad and lost a chip off our heart
But we always did see you
For what you truly were
A captive bird trapped in a cage
It was time to set you free

First Impressions
lasting thoughts...

Do you drink, do you smoke,
do you toke, are you broke?
What is important to ask,
but more important to know.

Did you come prepared?
What if there is a flood?
Do you know the rules...
for fools?

Lady trace a line,
into the sand,
as to where I should stand,
for or against defeat.
I want to know your name,
and claim the fame of being,
the luckiest man alive,
while I still draw breath.

I met you moments ago,
and already I have lost the map,
the direction my soul was to take,
this late in the game.

I went to school, but can not recite,
a single word worth listening to.
If I could just hear you sing,
I know that everything,
from the beginning to the end,
would be worth dying for.

I have had too much to drink.
I need to go home now.
I will never remember your number,
your name will be elusive,
playfully teasing me,
until it too has left...
my memory.

Lady trace a line,
from your world to mine,
that I can find,
my way back to heaven.

Premium Member Hyacinth

The winged god Zephyrus, handsome and graceful
gently flapped his wings, gliding across the meadows.
His eyes fell on naked youths splashing at play
in the sparkling water of a deep wide pool, sheltered
by willow trees, where fragrant flowers bloomed.
He slowed his flight and looked with lust and admiration.
On the green grass he espied a tender youth;
athletic and beautiful was this young Spartan prince,
scantily dressed, playing his flute with nimble touch.
Zephyrus’ heart fluttered and leapt; he could not help
falling deeply in love with beautiful Hyacinth.
Little did he know that he was already being
courted by Apollo! Out of sight he lay in wait
then made his move and sought him out at sunset.
He approached him and with golden words he tried
to tempt his heart, but all in vain. Though impressed,
Hyacinth remained firm and faithful to Apollo.
That night, Zephyrus many restless hours spent
alone, ignoring Chloris’s sexual charms.
Entangled thoughts engulfed his frenzied mind,
jealousy clawed at his heart, tore deep within.
Dawn arrived, and bleary eyed he hastened forth
towards the hills, in search of calm respite.
Alas, it was not meant to be; envy reared its head
with poisoned fangs that sent him reeling mad.
Emotions changed from red to green, and in despair
he flew high up, aimlessly circling in the sky.
Then all at once, upon a verdant field below,
he caught sight of Hyacinth and Apollo
playfully engaged in discus throwing.
The green-eyed monster lunged and with swift intent
Zephyrus blew a gust of wind that swerved the discus
from its route and it hit Hyacinth on the head
resulting in instant death. Jealousy prevailed.
Furious yet heartbroken, Apollo held Hyacinth
tightly in his arms, blood dripping from his temple;
and with one last act of love he changed that blood
into a most beautiful flower called Hyacinth.

Premium Member We Fuel Passions

We fuel passions by inpouring presence
Mindfully imbibing all sensations
Assimilating every layered nuance
Knowing unreal, fleeting illusions

Desire in heart arising, causation
We choose to enter a hypnotic trance
Our ego immersed in limitation
We fuel passions by inpouring presence

Having begun this play in innocence
Exit requires distilling attention
The sole lifeline we have, is our conscience
Mindfully imbibing all sensations

Innate joyfulness chooses expansion
That too as renewal in permanence
Pleasing love caress without cessation
Assimilating every layered nuance

Assigning priority to silence
Discernment choosing the love vibration
Living nonchalantly, thus in balance
Knowing unreal, fleeting illusions

Waking from the dream by slow ascension
We know, yet prolong our earth life parlance
Equal in void and manifestation
Playfully continue the divine dance
We fuel passions
