First Impressions
First Impressions lasting thoughts... Do you drink, do you smoke, do you toke, are you broke? What is important to ask, but more important to know. Did you come prepared? What if there is a flood? Do you know the rules... for fools? Lady trace a line, into the sand, as to where I should stand, for or against defeat. I want to know your name, and claim the fame of being, the luckiest man alive, while I still draw breath. I met you moments ago, and already I have lost the map, the direction my soul was to take, this late in the game. I went to school, but can not recite, a single word worth listening to. If I could just hear you sing, I know that everything, from the beginning to the end, would be worth dying for. I have had too much to drink. I need to go home now. I will never remember your number, your name will be elusive, playfully teasing me, until it too has left... my memory. Lady trace a line, from your world to mine, that I can find, my way back to heaven.
