Premium Member Smiles Throughout the Weeks

Ben and Cora Green had seven children, like calendar pages turning;
Each one born on a different weekday, like mango sun, forever burning.

Zoe was pretty, with big eyes and dimples, while Leah loved dancing,
Yet, Bill was sort of a pessimist; like when mystic trouble is glancing.

Edward had a zeal for jogging, while Ruth ran many errands for free.
James always had a part time job. Pete was all sunshine, very happy.

Fun barbecues attracted friends, to lawns of families and red flowers;
When fluff, sleepy clouds wandered, during deep green, golden hours.

Hues of fall leaves were fawning, when flying on crisp air, like family;
Visiting the days of fuming flora, of cool chrysanthemums, so pretty!

The Greens lived in a house of calendars, as mystic prisms flash color;
The life sundered into separate hues, like in gardens of blissful wonder.

Saffron sun shone on their street, as they smiled at people they'd meet;
When silver willows whispered surrender, to warm breezes, of no retreat.

Neighbors were a part of noon memoirs. Shadows were national heroes,
In ruddy times of heat and desperation! In the heyday of burgundy rose.

'Lady Leigh' irises sizzled in red, with the fruity beauty of 'pineapple lily,'
While insects snacked on 'goldfish' plants, beneath pink clouds, so frilly!

'Starfish' flowers had big highs and lows, in strawberry days of summer;
While 'Peruvian apple' cacti bloomed, on a single, dark night of slumber.

The Green children conveyed nostalgia for joyful childhood, into old age;
As colorful fall remembers summer just left, so flower strewn and sage!

Zoe grew up to be a model, while Leah became a famous ballet dancer.
Bill became a happier TV weatherman, for after rain, sun is the answer!

Edward later ran in marathons, and Ruth founded a charity organization.
James worked hard for conservation, as Pete, a clown, toured the nation.

Like the smiles that charm each seven day week, as a teal world waltzes;
Or like satiny peace of pearl moon charm, when the purple world pauses!

'Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
And the child who is born on the Sabbath Day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.'

Pineapple Pride

I was walking through the pineapple row and a thorn stick me on my middle toe, I bend down low to remove it and I almost fell into the ditch, I didn’t know what to do and so I start chanting an unfamiliar tune. It has no rhythm or verse, but it was sufficient to break the curse.

The hidden doctor came from behind the door and the choreographer crawl from underneath the second floor, the pianist was embarrassed to hold up his head they thought that the entire universe was dead; everything was silent around them, and blood was dripping from his hand what on earth is going on? you have to come and do the final dance. It’s called the swing.

Big bright lofty pineapple with ripe colors and succulent smell penetrates the walls and roofs spilling its juice over the place and I open my mouth wide to take it in but I had to go back to where it all begins.

The pineapple field is wide it has thousands of pineapples that is piling up to the sky, the rows are long, the roots are strong, and I want you to help me compose this new song.

The words are simple, and I love your dimples your enigmatic smile has lit up the entire sky, you have brought me to this place to create this song so let’s get together and sing along.

Don’t put too much solitude into it, I want some joy, modern and contemporary sound the twist and the fling and a little of the solemn hymn.

I want you to change that verse and lament on the stolen purse, the pineapple upside down cake is easy to bake, so spread the cake mix into dish and blend the sugar into the butter and whip up the eggs and pour it in.

Place the pineapple slices in the bottom of the tin and pour the mixture in, put it in the oven and make it bake at a temperature of a 350-degree Fahrenheit and when it’s done turn it upside down and place a cherry in the center and send it over to my lover.

She walks with pride through the gate, he has been waiting for her at the door with a bouquet of flower laced in assorted color; he greets her with a kiss, and she smell the flowers and smile and he took her to a neatly dress table and pour Champaign in a glass and he said, “you have come home at last”.

They sat down and stare at each other’s pride and write the final verse with their eyes. We shall be together until we die, and they complete the final song together.

Premium Member The Earth As It Is

These are the times
I sit and ponder at the beauty of it all,
amazed at the bounty of my blessings
Overburdened with foolish reminiscing
For the time has come for the present...

...life's never ending event

I admire the lovely wetness
of unexpected rain
Walnuts that look like human brains
Trees that sprout out of elk heads
to battle others for honor and for mates
I marvel at the convenience
of the kangaroo's curious pouch
The patience of eagles lying in wait
Chameleons (that rainbow reptilian)
shifting colors at a glance,
occasionally russet (at times van Gogh)
The industry of ants,
single file,
   row
      by row,
         by row,

(not one little rebel)

The diamond skin of a pineapple,
amber juices aburst with sweetness
(and even the librarians in their neatness)
...not one little thing is worthy of omitting

For this bird bath of a planet
is positively brimming
with secrets to behold

Like the fangs of fire foxes
that tear into flesh
(but the story doesn't end there,
lest we forget)

For the pricks of a porcupine
are there to remind you,
regardless of strength or size
In the dark every creature
has the same set
of glowing eyes

The sunniest of marigolds
that brings the promise of summer fun
Just as much as the paper I like to fold
Cranes perched on the windowsill

(longing to fly just like the real ones)

There is magic everywhere you go,
no need to reinvent or fantasize
about some hidden secret or treasure trove
I can see the Pacific in your eyes
The Milky Way in a nautilus shell
(you can see it if you're looking,
you can hear it if you're blind)

Just sit a spell and listen
to the eternal song
of the infinite mind
Or catch a glimpse of April fireflies

(the misfit stars that got left behind)

So keep your gold, Leprechauns
Mermaids of old with your siren songs
serenade some other hapless chap
to the edge of the sea (and never look back)
And Genie of the Lamp, keep the other two,
for here's my first and only wish:
I want the earth, and everything that's in it...

...just as it is

PS. Inspired by the poetry of Suzanne Delaney and Carol Mays in their wonderful book, Poems of Nature, Enchantment and Mystery.

Talking House

Standing on a ridge a sight can be seen. The kettles were choosing a queen. Bouquets were bought for the waters within. For waters will want wonderful and wonderful it was. The chosen kettle was a marvel. Complete with glowing sides and clear too. Captivating when boiling as the bubbles could be seen. But when cleaning was required it was time for the little wire brush to trot over to the kettle. Insert itself then move around to clear the debris. WOW. Look how it sparkles. Amazing isn't it?

But a bored baboon can only be made to smile through sipping a cup of banana juice, kissing trees, and playing ping pong with the dainty pig who was also rather fed up at this moment in time as the apples were not falling from the trees and that was a travesty.

Oh go and play a game of noughts and crosses in a shoe then. And definitely play monopoly in a chest of drawers. It is irrelevant the scores given to twenty over sized marbles in a washing machine. Scores should only ever be awarded to skittles. And skittles skate so when the pond is icy always put skating boots on them.

To outsmart a heron with a bunch of melons and some keys is to kiss over ninety frogs at a ball. But attending a ball has to be the most single important factor on a calendar card for a pineapple whose hair stood out from the rest in lovely green spikes. But lemons never wear such head dresses for they prefer triangular tiaras and triangular tiaras are neither tepid training turtle-neck tulips and neither are they tigers talking to timbers. Timber-frames are most thwarted at the tango but woods can waltz most admirably. Positioned palettes pirouetting.

And never forget to keep an eye on the Pyrex dish for Pyrex dishes can be filled with a vast array of produce and arrays of produce are mainly understood to be as vibrant as a colourful garden windmill. Spinning in a breeze then. Good. Creamy coleslaw calming carrots creatively creating canopies. Pea wisdom in a skirt skimming the stones into the lake from the shore holding the umbrella and a picnic basket.

WOW

Curtain chop on a tight rope.

Premium Member FBT A Berry Special Bar

There is a very trendy Smoothie Bar down town
Called ‘FruitiBaTuti’ but known to all as FBT
Where a colourful bunch of close friends work
All happy, hardworking and dedicated to their duty

FBT is a busy hip and happening place
Daily, customers line out the door
Waiting for smoothies considered supreme
Like they have never experienced before

Paul Passionfruit is the owner of FBT
A fair and fun boss
FBT is his love and passion
His staff have never seen him cross

FBT’S manager is Annie Apple
A fresh faced ,crisp, sweet girl
Until she starts drinking cider
Then her inner party girl unfurls

Second in charge is Freddie Fig
A charismatic ,charming lad
So chillaxed that he doesnt give a fig
When FBT gets crazy busy mad

Louie Lemon is a member of staff
He is known for being quite sour
Yet when working at FBT
He is a honey and often the man of the hour

Grapes is another sweet member of the team
Who is kind and cares a whole bunch
He likes to party with Annie Apple
Drinking way too much wine when it comes to the crunch

Mango is a popular staff member
Pretty ,happy , her heart aglow
Regularly with a new boyfriend in tow
As she keeps letting her man-go

Pineapple is the newest member of staff
She is keen to learn though at times a little unsure
Her big dream is to eventually be ‘just an apple’
She pines to possess the apple allure

Dates is the Casanova of the staff
Often on dating apps swiping left or right
Looking for the perfect, soft ,luscious woman
Though he secretly has Mango in his sight

Peter Pomegranate is the joker of the team
Funny , forever making everyone laugh
He comes from a little village in England
Nicknamed Pommie by both customers and staff

Strawberry, Blueberry and Raspberry are sisters
They are the casual and relief staff at FBT
Sweet, bright and accomodating
Each sister is berry, berry special indeed

Cool music is played at FBT
With conversation and laughter abound
The vibe and ambience is upbeat and lively
Come down, meet the staff, have a smoothie and enjoy the surrounds!

The Next Chapter

Here I am sitting in the park again
Sapping the sweat from my face
My Spirit is at ease and mind is settled
The tumultuous moment has passed
And you have finally come out of the dark
The stage is set and I have won the final bet
Here I am sitting in the park again
Looking into the next chapter of the game
The leafs are spinning in the book
And I am looking for something delicious to cook
A bowl of creamed mushroom soup
with crushed parsley on top
Toad in hole, roasted lamb with lasagna
And baked potato stuffed with honey ham
Nice fresh juicy vegetable on the side
And pecan pie to wet my appetite
I don’t have a big appetite but I am delighted
When others have a full course meal
And sit quietly at the dinner table if they are able
Here I am sitting in the park absorbing smell of food
Smoke is going up in the air
Jerk chicken aroma is spreading everywhere,
Big robust Jamaican men
With muscles that is hard to bend
chop up the chicken in pieces
and serve the people in the street
I would love to see them get in order
When the new development is in place
I have an appetite for fine cuisine
And I adore fine restaurant
I like the smell of fresh homemade wine too
Pimento wine, pineapple wine,
Cinnamon wine, apple wine
and passion fruit wine
And you can even make wine from
from a combination of fruit juice
I just long to be in a big kitchen
Where I can experiment with everything
I will bake and I will cook and I will
Make and deliver my homemade to the schools
Orphanage and old people’s home
I am not really hungry because I have trained myself
Not to feel hunger but when I smell something good
I have to write it in the next chapter of my book
The social clubs, the dinner engagement
The private dance with breakfast on the lawn
A get together with old and new friends
And the final date that will lead you to the altar
It is Tuesday afternoon and I am sitting in the park
Thinking about the next chapter
The day is clean my spirit is free
And the sky with its bright golden cloud
 is dancing above me.
