The Last Token
This last token, my true love gave
Before dying a soldier brave
A pearl necklace with pendant bright
I wear it always, day and night
It makes me feel that he is near
I'll ever cherish his love dear
He spent his life savings for me
And gave this love token freely
Today he is no more, I know
But his love is with me to show
His memories I hold so close
That only my pearl necklace knows
This last token my true love gave
And as I stand before his grave
I feel his presence close to me
He will always my true love be

Foggy mist from the creek rises
Accented by a gold sun
Wispy clouds lie white against blue
When the crack of dawn is done
Heavy dew sparkles or looks white
Upon the grass lime green
Waterdroplets cling like diamonds
In the scheme of things
Capture one for my ring finger
Two for my pierced ears
About ten for a heart pendant
But they'll all disappear
If acquiring things could be so
easy, life lived so grand
We'd all luxurate in diamonds
and be dressed in name brand
Life is not so easy, it has
its demands, there's little
free gold, life is work untold
and money comes in dribbles
I woke with the sun, my heart in a race,
Excitement and dreams written on my face.
Gifts in my hands, love in my sight,
Hoping to make this day feel just right.
I reached early, my nerves all flutter,
The world around us seemed soft as a whisper.
We chased the highway, with nowhere to go,
Just following the sun, letting life flow.
Five hours of drive, laughter in sight,
Moments that made the whole world feel light.
A hill appeared, so calm and so right,
We watched the world embrace in golden light,
And spoke of our dreams, our hearts in a race,
Feeling the magic of that special place.
I gave her the gifts, her eyes sparkled bright,
A pendant, a ring, each catching the light.
In her white dress, like a swan in my eyes,
I knew in that moment, she’d won my life.
On the ride back, the car flying fast,
Taylor Swift playing, memories to last.
Hands held tightly, a kiss in the night,
Stars overhead, our hearts feeling light.
That day etched forever, in laughter and fate,
An unforgettable memory, the very first date.
I furl myself…
in au revoir ruins …
within selfish flames
of a femme fatale,
where black pearl roses
weep with the ghosts of gold ~
grounded in the
glamorous requiem
with the grace of glittering glitz,
but in these gardens of grief,
I mourn with
the flawless footnotes
of grim obsidian mirage ~
groomed with faces
that forget
the patronus prose ,
petrified by
soul-stirred sunsets
with purple pigments …
I learned how to live unkissed, until ~
this emotion steered me
to the eclipse of heat ,
raining love riots …
even if it were
my imagination
and the moon tonight ,
were an honest manipulator -
O destined god of my dreams
let me melt in your lucid love-fire -
be the siren for sizzling seashores ,
and wake up with the wave ~
that whispers, whirling the halo
of white crescent wings …
as I need you …
within smooth strokes ~
that worship your
whistling heartbeat,
…and we dissolve
with devotion,
in the delusive design
of dusk-blush maroons ,
fading into
the evening evanescence
as those sun drops
glimmer with citrine stars ~
and I wear this
galactic wine pendant ...
in the paradise
of this dulcet demigoddess
weeping
~ smokes of d e s i r e ~
Surrounded by tranquil turquoise waters,
Guarded on sides by oceans three,
In the east by the Pacific,
On the south by the Celebes Sea,
And on the west by the south China Sea,
There is an archipelago on the blue water crescent,
A group of islands, called Philippines,
Encircled by a girdle of gleaming silver,
With its shores of stretching sandy swell
That lulls the restless waves to sleep;
A land of green vegetation and terraced terrain!
It houses picturesque and breath-taking views.
Vast beaches of ivory sand sprawl before our eyes
Dolphins leap over seafoam, palm fronds wink
Soft breezes waft and cotton clouds float above.
Anyone will fall in love with these tiny strips of land,
Of rugged hills and meandering rivers
Of placid backwaters and blue skies
Of gibbering monkeys and celestial monarch birds,
Of strutting peacocks, pigeons, pheasants, and parrots.
The powdery white sand of Boracay
The Chocolate Hills of Bohol
The Caraballo Mountain ranges,
And the Cordillera Mountain chain of Luzon,
The Rice Terraces of Philippine Cordilleras
All these give the country a solemn investiture.
Volcanic peaks, standing mighty and tall,
Proudly line the landscape, dotted with dense forests
Where birds sing melodies and Tarsiers with bug eyes
The tiny primates, endemic to the Philippines roam and jump
Amid the slumbering hills, there is fecund soil,
Turned into orchards and plantations,
Its population with perseverance and patience
Work in the soil relentlessly and in unison.
Well known for their hospitality, they receive tourists,
And outsiders with warmth and camaraderie.
In this paradise of mixed fortunes, tragedy comes unforeseen,
In the form of natural calamities like typhoons and cyclones,
But nothing can tear the people apart and they prosper,
With resilience, bent on sustaining their tradition,
Adding value to it each day and proud of an identity of their own
This beautiful land of velvet waves and crystal sands
Lying as a pendant in a crescent of emerald cluster
Rightly deserves the title- the 'Pearl of the Orient'
"Look around and see how birds and animals disclose the secrets of self survival and display how their bodies are streamlined to excel in their art"- By Poet
In the twisting tangle of the mangrove
Where eye can’t see beyond leaves
Sits a kingfisher, very alert,
Without the smallest quirk or quiver.
Its wings are bluer than the blue skies,
And body brighter than the brightest gold.
It sits surveying intently the water,
Flowing down the river.
With its sharp polaroid eyes
It spies the shoal of fish,
Darting up and down.
Measuring the distance
It makes a sudden move,
Diving into the water.
All we see is a flash of amber and blue,
And the water suddenly splashing up,
With a harsh clinking sound.
Sweeping down, the bird comes up,
With a sloshing silver fish,
Dangling from its beak like an ornate pendant
And landing down on a dry twig.
The fish shuddering in its beak
Is gulped down in no time,
Then it wheels away
To its accustomed cover in the mangrove
To preen its feathers and resume
Its hunting game once again!
It sits there, this skilled angler,
Till the hilltops turn auburn,
And the far -flung sky, stygian.
Then it flies back seeking its far away nest
In some sandy burrow or cavern.
The emblem on the pendant
was new to all of the professors
they sorted every detail
from end to end
they sampled and examined
until were lofted dumbfounded.
a miracle: something that
made all in attendance
stop to notice.
They looked one another in such
amazement that they were then
lost for words.
It appeared that who ever was
held the precious metal was entitled
to be the strongest man alive.
It was exclusive to gender.
The stone must be from space
it's vacco said one professor.
He can lift us all, without afford.
We entruest could understand
what we were seeing: we understood
the value of the item before
us. But "which then is neither" was mad
understandable
when the walls came crumbling down!
"My God: my God!" Professor Yelp, screamed
as a large super vessel came through
the wall. After moments a dark athletic
figure stood before us.
The "The stone" he demanded.
I looked at him and knew he was
Luthor! Lex as he introduced himself.
"I am without any need of inspiration I simply hunger"
"No side kicks, no villain in the making a sacrificial lamb
or a sidekick:I am, that I am!" "hand over the precious amulet!
He than turned a tuner on his waist and we woke up
minutes later and he , the amulet and the
vessel was gone
leaving a large hole in the wall.

JE VAIS APRÈS TOI French Verse-
I’m Coming After You-
Par tes yeux je vois la teinte de ton cœur ;
Votre esprit s'élève au-dessus de tout ce qui ne l'est pas ;
La beauté de ton sourire, tes lèvres dévouées ;
Votre esprit est en pleine pensée spirituelle ;
Et je viens après toi...
Comme un vent de tornade soufflant sur les arbres, tu es fait pour moi ;
Et je viens après toi comme une brise printanière Je ne rêve que de toi et moi;
Et je viens après toi comme de l'eau sur un feu brûlant ;
Mon amour pour toi, tu ne connais pas mon cœur-esprit si terrible ;
Je suis après toi mais pas comme un stockeur ;
Je choisis de n'être qu'un patient témoin ;
Ceci, j'insiste pour que vous soyez ma nouvelle (Mme) Mme ;
J'ai craqué pour toi, c'est vrai ;
Je ne suis pas parfait mais je serais juste pour toi ;
Je ne te partagerai avec personne d'autre que Dieu ;
chérie je t'aime
et je viens après toi...
Comme une épingle de lumière dans l'obscurité
je viens après toi
Comme un lever de soleil matinal ;
je viens après toi
Maintenant, pendant que nous sommes encore en vie ;
je viens après toi;
Parce que je veux être ton homme ;
Je suis après toi mais pas comme un stockeur ;
Je choisis de n'être qu'un patient témoin ;
Ceci, j'insiste pour que vous soyez ma nouvelle (Mme) Mme ;
J'ai craqué pour toi, c'est vrai ;
Je ne suis pas parfait mais je serais juste pour toi ;
Je ne te partagerai avec personne d'autre que Dieu ;
chérie je t'aime
Et je viens après toi...
Comme un vent de tornade soufflant sur les arbres, tu es fait pour moi ;
Et je viens après toi comme une brise printanière Je ne rêve que de toi et moi;
Et je viens après toi comme de l'eau sur un feu brûlant ;
Mon amour pour toi, tu ne connais pas mon cœur-esprit si terrible ;

shines a face from faraway past - twinkling eyes,
softest smile, silky hair ....
a stylish hat, gorgeous shoes, even a glittering pendant.
so perfect ...holds my hand tight, dances a fairy-dance,
listens to stories with unperturbed attention...
dream of a teacher!
in kindergarten, surrounded by angels,
all shine like the dazzling stars in illuminated sky,
one face ...doesn’t have words to express herself,
not that she does mind.
as cheerful and chirpy as a parrot,
she utters something, with confidence,
does it make sense to the world?
wonder how the languages were created,
wonder...those signs.. who invented!
this tiny girl, floats like a sailboat,
no care in the world touches her,
has created her own language,
she tells everything she feels,
it’s we, as much as we try, don’t understand.

The tiny shop was nestled in the historic Strand Arcade
and on every shelf, a treasured item was carefully laid.
On a gramophone, a seventy eight record was played.
Such a grand, delightfully soothing ambiance it made.
Curiosity drew me to examine everything displayed,
through piles of old clothes I could painstakingly wade.
There were wonderful period dresses of dainty brocade,
Gentleman's coats so well made of waterproof suede.
The softness of a Dior silk scarf with the edges frayed.
To be found, fine jewellery with precious gems inlaid.
There was a pendant and earings all fashioned in jade,
with a necklace that ornately allowed pearls to cascade.
Seeing the Aladdin's lamp, my joy was outweighed.
Presented in a velvet lined box, definitely first grade.
I was curious as to how much that needed to be paid.
Approached the owner, the price, hoping to persuade.
