My world is crashing all around
I need to fix it but there’s no way to be found
I try to stay on the right track but almost get run over by the train
I need help or I’ll go insane
Is this real or is it pretend
Heaven save me from this dead end
Please help me lord find a friend
Because I’m in trouble at a dead end
Is there an angel perhaps that you can send
I’m at the end of my road on a dead end
When I choose one direction its not the right way
The problems mount more everyday
When I reach for the light I just get a burn
When will my life take a better turn
Is this real or is it pretend
Heaven save me from this dead end
Please help me lord find a friend
Because I’m in trouble at a dead end
Is there an angel perhaps that you can send
I’m at the end of my road on a dead end
I’m down all the time full of sorrow
Things are tougher than ever will there even be a tomorrow
I’ve share it all and got it all off my chest
I’ll keep fighting and I’ll do my best
Is this real or is it pretend
Heaven save me from this dead end
Please help me lord find a friend
Because I’m in trouble at a dead end
Is there an angel perhaps that you can send
I’m at the end of my road on a dead end
WAKE UP MY HEART
Wake up my heart, from satin sleep, so deep.
Up my expectations, of dawn’s satisfying affection.
My sorrows and worries pale, your loving kiss warms.
Heart burns and we’re soldered together, you and me.
Wake up my heart! Wake up!
Delicious in your crescent arms,
Your moving gears. The blossom
of my mind, the garden of my Eden,
explosive in the mountaintop experience.
Deep affection warms me, I’m no longer cold.
You’ve warmed my skin, my emotions within.
Singular souls united, soldered tight, hearts reborn.
We view the splay of sunrise, with glistening pairs of eyes,
In one direction, forever as husband and wife.

1st Place
*two acrostics in verse one
Left side: Wake Up My Heart
Right Side: Deep Affection Warms Me
The two are used again, to begin
the following verses.
We are all floating in a boat on the river of time...
no motor
no sails
no rowing
for the river of time moves in one direction...
her current…ever-flowing.
There are times I’m thrilled she is moving
passing through the sun’s rays and the moon’s beams
for if her current ever stopped…
we’d have no memories…no dreams.
Still, there are times I wish she’d pause
days when love and tenderness seem stronger
moments of perfection…I wish would last a little longer.
That’s not how time works, however
she is an endless flowing stream.
which means it’s up to us to turn those moments of perfection into memories….
and our wishes into dreams.
Oh , to Love the summers
How can I Love the spring
when it's the rain
pulling me
And now , June is midway
Asleep until noon , I'm dreaming
Daylight
Falling on my eyes
Between the Clouds
The lines are always changing
Thunderstorm , I heard
But rain came
Without my permission
There is a glow on my neck ,
which she loves
Am I still dreaming
quietly ,
Asked her in my dreams
I cannot save this world,
but look how , it's trying, to save me
Archive June'25
While rain in my thoughts. Not the violent sort that breaks windows but the kind that arrives quietly. Yet another thought lingered in the background like a candle burning in a forgotten room, perhaps salvation was never meant to move in one direction. Perhaps while we spend our lives trying to save fragments of the world, the world is quietly saving fragments of us in return. That faint suspicion that something unseen sat beside your bed all night, making certain you remained.
It is a universal truth that time moves onward…hour by hour…day by day
flowing in but one direction…stopping for no one along the way.
The time that’s measured by our clocks marches forward…absolutely
The time that ages our bodies…advances resolutely.
But there is a countenance of time that plays by a different set if rules
defying the lessons, the information, the things we were taught in school.
It’s when old friends get together…for no matter how much time’s amassed
in that moment they are young again…as if no time has passed.
There is a wrinkle in the time continuum…a wrinkle all friends know
allowing them to immediately pick up from where they left off years ago.
It matters not how much they’ve aged…if they are old and grey…
for the moment they get together…the years between them fall away.
And though it goes against the laws of nature…and occurs without reason or rhyme…
they begin to feel younger…as they travel back in time.
They feel blessed time has has allowed
to relive old joys and smiles
Blessed as time journeys ever onward
she has paused for them a while.
There is a place so beautiful I'd love to see again.
My dream vacation started in Madrid, in central Spain.
How I long to stroll again down by Retiro Lake
and see El Prado art museum. Then for old time's sake,
I'd find some iced “horchata” down by Alcala Gate,
and later see Flamenco at a bar where folks stay late.
Come tag along with me as I remember old Castile.
We'll bring potato omelets in french loaves for our meal.
In any one direction, heading north, east, south or west,
is something quite amazing for your senses to digest.
A cross upon a peak is near the great Escorial.
And Avila, by Romans built, is circled by a wall.
Segovia, Toledo, and further by the sea,
lies Valencia. That's a place I want to be!
Try the calamares (squid). I like it best when fried!
Oranges abound and the paella's bona fide.
In March , through all Valencia there is a grand display:
people burning giant statues made of papier mache.
Northward are the Pyrenees, rugged, vast and green,.
Sheep in fields, refreshing clime, and villages serene.
There's bustling Barcelona if we journey up the coast.
Farther west, along a bay in Galicia, I like most
a place named San Sebastian, a very lovely town.
It has some trees with tops like cute umbrellas upside down.
Last, to Don Quixote's Andalucia -south let's drive
where for centuries the moors' enlightenment could thrive.
Cordoba, Granada, and Seville we have to visit.
The mosques with marbled columns at Cordoba are exquisite.
Granada has a palace like none you've ever seen.
The ornate rooms and gardens were fair pleasures for a queen.
Malaga I never saw, but if ever I should go
back to Spain, that's a beach I really want to know.
So many different nations arrived on Spanish shores:
Greeks, Phoenicians, Visigoths, Carthaginians, Celts and Moors.
Iberia is fascinating. Its diversity
is so enchanting, it's the best vacation spot for me!

Take a train across the country
To savor the landscape of waste
Green valleys and mountaintops
Sinking in airy blankets of puffy clouds
And snake-like rivers lazy winding
Through the surface of terrains
Providing earthly blood-water
Through the veins of canyons
To the abundance of life thriving
In paradise of living wild earth
It is amazing sensual experience
While you think it is just a trip
Across the country riding a train
You are not aware that you just
Have boarded the time machine
You thought the time is uniform
But Einstein is grinning at you
And the train proves you wrong
Einstein used you to make his point
That time succumbs to speed and
Transforming into the fabric of cosmos
Becoming mythical time of relativity
While still running in one direction
For you who oblivious sit on the train
But being perceived in a different way
By standing on the platform Einstein
Who keeps a devilish smile on his face
I'm a breakout star
Who's career will go far
Can't wait to drive all the fancy cars
Dreaming of a life that has no scars
I keep leaning on the ledge
My work is so cutting edge
I'm so happy I have finally been read
So I can get this insecurity out of my head
I no longer want to dread
What gets in my way or is up ahead
I've been lead one direction then the next
This world can be so complex
Always looking for what is coming next
Thirty-four years ago to the day
My life was altered in such a big way
When life spits you out a big surprise
You want to believe you are so wise
I have had to learn to live with compromise
Realizing it's not possible unless you open your eyes
Nothing in life should paralyze
Our ability to synchronize
What keeps us balanced so we can fly
Creating our direction
With a new kind of protection
That will lead us to overall perfection
Rather than hanging on to the past
That goes by way too fast
We must try and stay on task
So that I can remove this mask
That has followed me from my past
We will reach for the stars
Hoping our careers will go far
Being all that we can possibly be
Make the most of every opportunity
You never know what life turns out for us to see
When your life becomes everything you want it to be
Then you will have no more regrets
Will finally be able to put it all to rest
No longer will it cause such duress
It's all been one big test this life that I see for me
So I might know what is like to be happy successful and free
To understand the man that now lives through me
Style
Compass points in more than one direction
Lays low its feelings before the landscapes gravity
Magnetism searched below the skin of Earth
Substances you can’t touch or feel or see between the seams
Reveal no secrets or mysteries down in the weight of things
But up above the surface, are aromas for the senses
Fragrances of good and evil roam around the world
Nose points in that > direction
Beyond that is the future
Around the corner are other corners
Future always waits complacently
Corners do not hesitate or move themselves
There are more of them than you can count
A compass is useless in the dark as a companion
But will help you navigate the bend of days
The future is unknowable and unknown
If you must go, go all the way
Take a device that indicates and points directions
One that can sing and dance and play
If you get lost at least you’ll go in style
A compass with a smile will know the way
