The Time Trick

Take a train across the country
To savor the landscape of waste
Green valleys and mountaintops
Sinking in airy blankets of puffy clouds
And snake-like rivers lazy winding
Through the surface of terrains
Providing earthly blood-water
Through the veins of canyons
To the abundance of life thriving
In paradise of living wild earth
It is amazing sensual experience
While you think it is just a trip
Across the country riding a train
You are not aware that you just
Have boarded the time machine
You thought the time is uniform
But Einstein is grinning at you
And the train proves you wrong
Einstein used you to make his point
That time succumbs to speed and
Transforming into the fabric of cosmos
Becoming mythical time of relativity
While still running in one direction
For you who oblivious sit on the train
But being perceived in a different way
By standing on the platform Einstein
Who keeps a devilish smile on his face

An intelligent and intriguing write, Ruta. I enjoyed it very much, particularly "Providing earthly blood-water / Through the veins of canyons". Interesting metaphor of time as a train being observed from both inside and outside. Well done ~ John
