I posted my hair on instagram.
Not the actual hair but a bad photo of it.
It got three million hits in two days.
So now I am an Internet sensation?

I cannot walk down the street without
giving autographs. Someone pulled a lock
of my hair yesterday! Ouch!

My relatives saw my address, so they know
I no longer live in a van down by the river.
That’s the one bad thing about being an IS.

One mistake apparently, paying for it forever.
What is this? A check to advertise for Handy Dandy
Brush That Hair Company? One dollar and sixty-two cents!
I am taking a photograph of my worst cavities now.

Premium Member Ending At the Beginning

Backwards became forward
Up became down
What I thought was square
Turned out to be round

Some who I thought loved me
Turned out to be foes
Twelve dozen roses
Not absorbed by one nose

I could see in the dark
Became blinded by light
When I should be afraid
I was feeling alright

A topsy turvy world
Never knowing what to expect
Even when I had earned it
I couldn't seem to find respect

I climbed many ladders
Slid down my share of snakes
Learned more by losing
Lived with my mistakes

The top was the bottom
My ideas flipped around
Transformed by heaven
Prostate on the ground

With my head bowed low
My heart became clear
What seemed a great distance
Was actually quite near

For within my smallness
I discovered what was vast
The future had been written
By the Author of my past

Things I counted as sorrow
Revealed to me my joy
I could not become a man
Without living as a boy

My end will be my beginning
When I am raised from the earth
What some will consider death
Will turn out to be my birth

For I have been forgiven
Without paying any cost
Thankfuly my Savior found me
Long before I knew I was lost

Somehow It Seems I Forgot

Somehow it seems I forgot

Why should I write each emotion I’m feeling
when no one will stroll to my side
An unending song filled with passion and yearning
now praying for one to confide
Dreaming in colors that glow in a meadow
where butterflies float on the breeze
Alongside a river of flowing desires
meandering under the trees

Why take my pen from its brown leather casing
and place it on top of the page
Spilling some ink in a nice cursive fashion
just ends up revealing my age
Where no one will read as they go passing lightly
in search of the next future star
While here I will sit at a desk made a plastic
away from wherever you are

Can you explain in a poetic sentence
why words can’t be read like they feel
Is it a style or a strange way to tell us
that lacks in enormous appeal
Comments won’t come if you stand slinging arrows
with targets right there tween the eyes
So it would seem that the retaliation
would come in the form of replies

Don’t put too much in these phrases I’m writing
for I am just bored half to death
Wondering if I would post something stupid
now pausing to inhale a breath
Would some of you come just to see what I’m thinking
or figure my thoughts matter not
I had an ending to this when I started
but somehow it seems I forgot

Premium Member Happiness Starts With You

A business man called Frederic travelled all the world searching the answer for the emptiness he felt very deep inside him. One day he heard about a wise man that live at the top of a mountain. He made the arrangements to meet the guru. Once, he arrived to the place, he started to climb to the mountain to reach the top and ask the questions that had in his mind for many years and still searching for the answers that will soothe his soul.

Frederic greeted the guru known as Sri Aadhrya. He was living in the mountain for more than twenty years. Visited by politicians, actors and professionals. Frederic asked the guru if they return for a second consultation. The answer was a categorical no. Frederic was very surprised with the answer received. The guru asked Frederic what he wants to know. Frederic thought for many minutes the question he was going ask. With great security in him he make the question to the guru.

Why I am not happy with myself? I am the CEO of a very important company, have a mansion as a house, a very expensive car, a wife that looks like a stunning model. However, I do not feel happy. Sadness is my secrete companion. The guru looked to Frederic at the eyes and said to him: an executive position, a wealthy status, a luxury car or a gorgeous partner not are synonyms of happiness. They are complements to your life. Annoyed with the answer, Frederic departed without saying goodbye.

Ten years later, Frederic came back to the mountain to see the guru. When reached the most highest part of the mountain, he met the guru for a second time. The guru asked to Frederic how was his life during the last decade. Frederic without hesitating told to the guru that he discovered after visited him that happiness begins with you, but he did not found the way to return and tell the truth discovered until that day. The guru smiled, since Frederic was the first one to return back and accept the truth.

The End

LOST AND FOUND

My world was empty, and no real joy filled my life.
Lonliness, Depression and Fear,
Were my constant companions.
I sought relief from my lonliness in dreams and books,
For they were my only friends.

Then, You found me, You quietly called to me,
You patiently waited for me,
To finally hear Your voice.
Your gentleness slowly calmed my fears,
And assuaged my emptiness.

Now my world is no longer empty,
For You have filled it with Your love.
Joy fills my soul,
And I no longer seek escape,
In dreams or fantasy, for Your love is real.

I hungered, and You fed my spirit.
I thirsted, and You filled my soul.
I feared, and You comforted me.
I was so alone, and You called me Your Own.
I was lost, and now I am found.
I Love You.

Premium Member ''Oh, My Withered Dreams''

. . . I am lost in a sea of memories
that scar the road map of my bleeding soul;
my words- the highway to my deep pain, and
I follow a labyrinth of passages and corridors
                     curved and contrived-
Oh, what of my withered dreams, my hopes!
Why do I seek out past sorrows
that come drifting like a dark death melody . . .
My grief comes unbidden to stain my years, and
my tears hang from dripping branches in a
                      . . . graveyard where tombs stand
in rows and rows of green grass . . .
and happy hummingbirds hover in heavenly harmony
and red roses decay and the wind is a violin
(barefoot, ragged, hair tangled- I am a girl, in my dreams)
and blood seeps from the daggers in my heart . . .
. . . life stretches before me like a long road.
Oh, I am sick of all this sorrow- decay
I want days as clear as sparkling wine,
to live a life of peace and serenity;
with days brilliant blue and nights full of stars, and
picture perfect, instead of this vast empty place-
Oh, bitter this life- yet . . . a fire burns
within me and soon I will be set free . . .

Premium Member My Forever Hero

You are my hero forevermore-forever
because you did not give up never-never;
Mom, you are my hero:
so brave with courage and kindness ever !

You were sick for years but never complained
life was hard and there were days strained;
Mom, you will always be my hero:
and each day you were joyful and not constrained !

Though you had to carry heavy oxygen tanks
we went on many adventures-   so thanks;
oh, yes Mom, you are my hero:
and we talked lots with you filling in the blanks !

And when the end came you said let me go
your Dad is waiting up above-   you know;
Mom you are my hero:
I whispered okay- oh, what a dagger blow !

I am so proud to be your daughter Mom
because of your grace now I am a girl calm;
I want to be like my hero:
and as you died I held your hand in my palm !

From Here To Now

"From Here to Now"
by: Eric L. Boddie

I am a man, but I am not what He Intended
That is not the truth, but still, we pretend it
You see, God doesn't make mistakes, that's the Ultimate Fact
So without Him, it is impossible to keep Life intact
No man is worthy of Heaven, imperfection makes that clear and plain
He Loves us so much that He Died to Shield us from the unholy pain
Still, so many don't Believe, still, so many others wonder how
And so many lack the directions of how to get from here to now
You see, my body....my body is right here
Now I have to conquer the temptations it holds so dear
You see, my mind....my mind is right here
Now I must allow Him to keep it sound and clear
You see, my Soul....my Soul is right here
Now it is time to put negative things in the rear
You see, my time....my time is right here
Now I must spend it being another's peer
You see, my Love....my Love is right here
Now I must use it to bring another cheer
You see, my journey....my journey is right here
Now I must follow the direction for which God Will Be The One To Steer
You see, my chance....my chance is right here
Now I must accept God's Challenge without any kind of fear
You see, my Life....my Life is right here
Now I must use it for His Service or else hell will be the reason for my tears
From here to now, it is up to me to find my way
But I know that He Will Guide me, for you to do the same is the reason that I Pray
