Global Extinction

Global Extinction

The fires you start will come back and burn you.
The idiots are in charge and they deny the truth.
Enjoy the sunshine whilst remaining blind to the drought.
We as a species deserve to be dying out, no doubt.

When the waters rise and the lives disappear,
You will turn around and ask to hear,
But it will be too late to make a change.
The end is nigh, if things stay the same.

The sun is nice, until it is not.
The sea’s will rise and the land it will go.
The bats have all died because it is getting too hot.
Welcome to your inferno.

No fossil fuels left for you to dig, you dig?
You will be left on your little island, surrounded by what you did.
Emptying the ground for oil and gas.
The life they have, the life they must have.
The gas has taken the future and all the president can do is laugh.

I guess he knows that money talks.
The silent majority will rise and tear down your new wall.
Protest against the murderers, they kill the planet while I write verse,
To tell a tale of man-kinds fail; the words will never be heard.

Extinction Rebellion;
Our future wails.
No more extinction! No more contradictions.
No more self-punctured nails.

Once upon a time a clean air act was written as a promise.
No take backs, set in stone, the lies beat the Hell out of being honest.
The Earth is empty, it’s elementary. If you eat until it is all gone,
You will get a nice tan from a hundred degree sun.

Speaking like a hurricane, tornado range,
It’s climate change.
The amazon is nearly gone, because Mr. Amazon is number 1.
The Earth is first, humanity thirsts,
I see no saviour fighting for our Earth.

All that remains is a scorched planet.
Just one more degree and we have all had it.
Polar bears drown, forest fires.
When the power ends and the planes are all downed,
We will be climbing the trees to get higher.

The tsunami will set us free,
By wiping out man’s technology.
Welcome to another ice age.
Man will walk alone one day.
The last man on Earth will have his say,
But nobody will ever hear him again.
For too long now we have all stood still,
By driving pollution through our hearts.
We have all become so ill.
This is how the evil starts…

I Jumped,

I was staring out my window last night
Thinking of something fun to write
Something cool So I don't sound like a fool
We all know how kids can be cruel
To be accepted is the number #1 rule
I started to write about the climate
And how protests turn into a riot
Personal info is no longer private
Then there's Hollywood sickness They can't deny it
The other way is where they look
Innocence is what they took
The core of our existence has been shook
People missing out on a sunset
All for the internet
That's everybody mindset
On a serious note
I'm gasping for air I'm starting to choke
The man has his fingers around my throat
Big brother is watching there is no hope
Get me a rope!
Cant forget about drug distribution
With no solution to the plastic pollution
That's my conclusion
Bullied kids filled with anger and hate
With shootings in every state
That's enough to make you shiver and shake
No turning back it's way too late
The future generation is full of snowflakes
Make no mistakes
They will do whatever it takes
To rid the world of all it's hates
Pump the brakes
We're going to fast
Moving towards a head on crash
Open mouth insert foot
There's no such thing as half way crooks
That's trump
I'm stumped
There's a bridge I jumped
I'm fallin
I Broke both my legs now and I'm crawlin
Billionaires and they're little friends
That's the trend it's not pretend
No prosecution if you have money to spend
What kind of message is that supposed to send
Castration is what I recommend
Father of nine
Online
Messaging young girls for a good time
That's a crime
That can damage a family for a very long time
Teens on the world stage
Displaying rage
Just like a dangerous animal trapped in a cage
They are traumatized at a very young age
Their future is bleak
It's time to turn up the heat
And hit the streets
And scream and yell! At everyone they meet!
Seven days a freaking week!
Planes falling out of the skies
They don't know why
I think I'll pass, I don't wanna die!
We can't deny
That the media lies
Opiate epidemic is on the rise
No surprise that it's Ruining lives
The Earth is sad I can hear it's cries
Well that turned out to not be fun at all
I need some psychiatric help who can I call!

Premium Member Tribute To Tina Turner

"I've been takin' on a new direction, but I have to say, I've been
thinkin' about my own protection, it scares me to feel this way."

                                               From Tina Turner's song
What's Love Got To Do With It

Tina Turner, the singer, the legend, died on May 24, 2023
at her lakeshore home Chateau Algonquin, in Switzerland
on the Zurich Lake, it was her home for three decades
fans lay flowers, lit candles and left messages of love
at the cast-iron gates overcome with grief, she was 83
Tina's humble beginnings, her voice, and her strength
would make her beloved the world over and an inspiration

she had a swagger, a sexuality, an unstoppable energy
wild crazy hair, dancing legs and hips, and gravely voice
born, Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939
a young girl who sang in the church choir and
then, as a teen went to nightclubs with her sister
watching Ike Turner she said would put her in a trance
one night she was given a microphone and sang
and sang all night with Ike and that was the beginning
Ike loved her voice and made her his lead singer
with his band the Kings of Rhythm and girl group, Ikettes
there were tours, albums, hit records, it all seemed wonderful

but behind the scene things were not good for Tina
Ike was violent, abusive, with an unpredictable temper
he hit Tina, raped her, belittled her, instilled fear and
never gave her any of the money that she earned
this went on until one night after a brutal fight
Tina ran with 36 cents in her pocket to a Ramada Hotel
she divorced Ike and began her amazing solo career
there would hit albums, number 1 hits, world tours,
Grammy's, movie roles, induction into the Hall of Fame
so much success it is hard to put it all in this poem

she lost two sons to death, fought various illnesses
for years, but did marry the love of her life, Irwin Bach
she had happiness, she had sorrow and she had strength
and that is how I will remember this incredible woman
a woman who fought to come back from hell and who
would inspire the world with her amazing talent,
rest in peace, Tina Turner

Blank stare through my body that's what he feels when he looks at me.Past
friend in his eyes he sees that what he feels when he hugs me.Yet I'm not
returned divine feelings that continue to be produced.I'm immune to his heart but
defenseless against his love.I tell myself " oh he ain't worth it " yet I find my self
back involved. Get over him, my friends tell me, let yourself be the only one you
love. Although I know they're right, go back to him, I might.Despite the million
times he's lied. I still crave to be by his side. Kill for him I could.Die for him I
would. But for me, spit if there's a fire, if he said he would he'd be a liar.Care for
me he couldn't less. That is unless he had me undress. And yet, drop my pants
for him quick I would.Only to be involved with him if I could.Love him I promise I
do. And for him sacrifice myself, I would. Just to hear him say I love you.Degrade
my being, possibly.Could it be love? Maybe. But what if he wont call me his baby?
I'd still risk my all and try, Just to have him to stand by.I told myself no boy would
have me like this.He changed from just a boy when he gave me that kiss. The day
he pulled me back right as I was about to leave. He told me never to go because I
was the Girl of his dreams. But I guess he woke up, that cold night we broke
up.He found the girl of his reality.Better than me,he thought she'd be.I see that he
loves her but he continues to tell me. I must be blinded by love because I have
yet to see, the wrong that others say he protrays.I have to be legally blind or this
love thing is all in my mind, because once again I say I love him.Just so I am
sure he knows he knows it.I know he loves me even though he never shows it. In
my fairytale world I'm his number 1 girl. But in reality I'm his once used to be.I
refuse to see the difference.I am allergic to the real and have a prescription to the
imaginary.Only to believe for myself that i'm his lady. How could I keep up with
this?Maybe all I need is one more kiss. But possibly not. That might hurt me more
maybe alot.So I should give up.No to do that you have to have guts. And against
love I develop a fear one that refuses my defense near.

I Love You Kobe

April 14 , 2016 10 : 32 am
I love you Kobe
You were my hero.
Till the eight now lastly to the 24 .
Last night your memories struck my tears and my happiness.
It’s just so hard that you are fading away from the game.
I realize that I honestly don’t love you of your fame.
I love you because you’re my hero and role model.
You inspired me to not quit.
You inspired me to continue.
Those 60 points I witness last night were a blessing from your talent and heart.
They were our last beloved memory of you.
It made me think to believe in myself.
You’re the real MVP Kobe.
You taught us loyalty.
You taught us to listen
You taught us hard work is important.
Whenever you go I’ll go.
And you taught us dearly to love you and respect you not only as a player but as a human beloved being sent from GOD.
Heroes come and goe.
Zeroes collapses and lets us down
But a Legend like you Kobe is forever eternally.
I love you Kobe.
Thank you for the game of basketball.
Thank you for me and the fans for seeing the moment on a special wonderful game you had deeply inside your sparking heart.
Your heart has touched my heart it pounded me.
I never felt like this before when it came to my hero turned legend.
I don’t care if I have a man crush on you.
I don’t care if I’m obsessed on you as a fan.
Because all I know is that you will always be my number 1 hero my savior my idol and my everything.
I cried last night.
I saw your past games last night.
I saw a growth.
A man.
A hero.
I saw a legend.
I saw your 60 points.
You were amazing , I praises you and follow your path of greatness.
When I go to bed in my deep sleep every night I think of how great and special Kobe is and how I got much love for him. So in closing I will love to say farewell Kobe. See you later no goodbyes. Thank you for the sacrifices and the memories of the game of basketball. And I understand that you have to fade away eternally.
I never let go Kobe.
I never stop thinking of you .
Kobe all day.
Kobe all night.
Kobe a hero.
A legend.
And Kobe I love you forevermore and good luck on your new journey.
Rip Kobe Bean Bryant 1996 – 2016.
This isn’t a goodbye it’s a see you later.

Poem Viii - I and You

Don't get it twisted. I didn't use the term You and I because I made the
mistake of putting you first. You see when you were my number 1 I did
everything for you. Went to school just to see you, ditched practices just to
be with you, snuck out late at night just to make memories with you. You had
me at my own game. Manipulation. I'll admit you had me there but playing me
is something that can't enter my system.

You see you had your fun. I met your friends and they liked me. Couple of
months down the line I found out they were all in on the act. Apparently you
got a hold of my past and you wanted me to feel the same I've apparently
inflicted to other people. Looks like you live in a world where words do speak
louder than actions. Well of that's the world you live in then I'm pretty sure I
don't need to show you what karma is cause when I'm done with you I'll be
given a new term, "Step-dad." You hate me, but whether you like it or not you
respect me.

I and You is something that will be totally different. Call it my alter ego if you
must. I will put myself first and in my eyes you will be that girl who thinks she's
better than me therefore driving to bring you below rock bottom. I will tell you
what I'll do to you, wait for you to disagree, then prove you wrong cause I like
it when someone will underestimate the power of manipulation. When I'm done
with you I will leave a crooked smile braces can't fix. I will leave a broken heart
no man can mend. I will leave an emotion that makes everyone have sympathy
for you. I... Will leave me inside of you. And every night you are alone in that
bed, there's only one person you can blame for the tears running down your
face. That person is not the one who inflicted pain towards you. Its the person
who pushed him to do it. That person is you.

When it was You and I, I gave you so much praise my friends couldn't stand
me. Now that its I and You, your own friends can't stand you. Sadly enough
I'm the one who can help you, if only you weren't who you are to start off with.

I and You. Never put yourself second.

Symbols In Flight: 1941

I'd have loved to see the bluebirds fly
above the white chalk-cliffs of Dover--
and as they were blithely soaring over,
immersed in thought I'd lie
in calm repose upon that beach,
admiring their swooping forms,
evanescent, in fleeting storms,
like ballet ... far beyond my reach.
Frisking, fragile, carefree birds,
symbolic through intrinsic meaning --
like sterling hope and freedom's words
light English springs, forever greening:
while England fought the bitter fight
to hold at bay the 'fall of night.'

Author notes
November 20, 2004 - approx 112 words

What makes Britain great? The entire world would be speaking German and Japanese right now if not for British courage in the face of overwhelming adversity.

Setting, approximately June, 1941, Dover Beach, immediately following the Battle of Britain.

This is a published poem, copyrighted, and it takes you to a specific place as well as a specific time, when the world was at war and the fate of all mankind hung in the balance. It is relevant because we are fast approaching another such time. Bluebirds are not found in the British Isles, but I wrote the poem before I became aware of the fact. The curator at the Dover Museum said I should just leave it that way, as bluebirds, since the song, The White Cliffs of Dover, specifically named bluebirds.

Update: BLUEBIRD is an old country name for swallows and house martins, which have a blue sheen to their plumage. These migrants arrive from the continent in spring and leave in autumn, crossing the English Channel. So these bluebirds appear at least twice a year over the white cliffs and no doubt many spend the entire summer in the vicinity of Dover. As portents of improving weather, swallows and martins are traditionally believed to bring good fortune.

The poem, a quasi-Petrarchean sonnet, is being archived with other writings about Dover and The Second World War by the Dover Museum, in Dover, England.

This sonnet was published in Sonneto Poesia, Volume 3, Number 1, Winter,
2003-2004
