Viewing out into her eyes into her soul
And I look out the window
Where is the soul?
that I spy all I see is refuge and darkness just a spot
A glimpse of sigh a missed the space dwelling blackness nigh
As hopes for spawning rituals of sunlit there's not
Viewing out into her eyes into her soul
Tis none to my surprise the beating ground
Those the mystic tears that are flowing down
To hard and harden hard and spots
Beating
Bleeding not
Viewing out into her eyes into her soul
I continue to look and I admonish
I pray for the soul to become unhardened
Ruptured so keen on the perils that seem
To unravel the woolen knot
I hope and pray this instant this day
That God will clean the window pane
Viewing out into her eyes into her soul
So I may later on look out
after out of the window and see you
and Him dancing on the bright heavenly streets paved of gold
As I now view
So
Viewing out into her eyes into her soul
Now in blissful clarity Hallelujah, Amen

Dear Lord, Almighty...
You be honoured for Your grace
enabling servant-heart attitude
emanating from submissive and grateful spirit
helping me to be the steward striving to do Your will
as You keep on drawing me nigh to Your heart
esteeming You above all else...
My God, thank You for showing
how long suffering* You are toward me
though I appear arrogant and unyielding…
Please constantly teach my heart
of humility’s virtue, righteously rewarding
as genuinely exemplified by Christ, the Saviour
Who yielded Himself sacrificially, with love so exceeding.
Thus, I seek Your meekness-grace drive;
help me bear --- for Your sake,
every act I perceive as condescending!
My Saviour, Your long suffering for me
highlights Your merciful compassion at work
notwithstanding my service that’s unacceptable…
Kindly correct my soul against prayerlessness
and faith’s increase-failure due to vanity-stumble
for me to progress in Your holy kingdom’s pursuit
making my servanthood fruitfully favourable.
Hence, I need Your power’s fortitude;
empower me --- to live for Your glory
as Your Spirit does move my being!
*Exodus 34:6 …The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.

3rd place, "If only you knew" Poetry Contest
Sponsored by Silent One; judged on 8/29/2019.
Fields with corn erect in shock,
Few unpicked ears yet dangle.
A signal to soon set back the clock,
Wind caroms from a nor-west angle.
Leaves of gold crunch neath my feet,
My joints scream, "Old Jack Frost is nigh"!
I unwittingly question this October treat,
Whether for my head only, and if so, why?
Pumpkins remain randomly spaced,
As dollops of orange paint on this fall day.
By a flick of God's brush they appear placed,
From the sky above of dapple-gray.
This yearly picture always gives me pause,
For reflection on life, and God above;
That He would give His Son with cause,
The price for my sin was paid through love.
Should desert’s dearth unleash in life,
O wait till wafts cool breeze in life.
In grayish dry terrains, look for
A lush green oasis in life.
No life doth face only but banes,
Look for islands of bliss in life.
Life’s never just a despair of
Doldrums, soft breeze does kiss in life.
Ye need be a nigh bit patient
To cook your choicest dish in life.
Let sea of life whirl surface waves,
Deep down reigns profound peace in life.
So, cut out all the kitsch in life,
Should joy be your heart’s wish in life.

The wolves are howling through the night
As a golden moon rises high
Then Luna is eclipsed in flight
And its hue now glows crimson bright
A moon, blood red, is in the sky
The wolves are howling through the night
A dragon's fire invites a knight
A shadow dark is passing by
As Luna is eclipsed in flight
A total eclipse will block its light
And Luna blushes in reply
The wolves are howling through the night
The dragon waits, the knight to smite
As gods of war are drawing nigh
As Luna is eclipsed in flight
Heavenly orbs aligned just right
As stars now twinkle with a sigh
The wolves are howling through the night
As Luna is eclipsed in flight.

June 24 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Psalms 66-69
Key Verse – Psalms 66:20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR NOT TURNING AWAY OUR PRAYER
Praise be to God for not turning away our prayer
as He grants us abundantly His:
Goodness-geared blessings
Gracious bountifulness
Generous bonuses
Grandest best
Great bliss
Psalms 67:1 Praise be to the Lord
for His mercies unto us:
Cautioning us against futility of faithlessness
Causing us to flee to His freedom
Creating in us fruitfulness
Calling us to be faithful
Caring for our faith
Psalms 68:1 Praise be to the Saviour for
His love that arises to:
Drive us toward His pursuit of peace
Deliver us through His purpose
Draw us nigh His presence
Defend us by His power
Direct us in His plan
Psalms 69:29 Praise be to the Almighty
for setting us on high from:
Suffering-filled frustrations
Sorrow-fueled failures
Sickness-fretting
Sinfulness’ falls
Scarcity-fears.

PEEK A BOOM!
Take a peek,
See what’s looming,
Populations booming,
Take a peek,
Things don’t seem sweet,
Soldiers marching, many feet,
Take a peek,
Priest holds communion cup,
Wardens locking prisoners up,
Take a Peek
Ferocious politics taking place,
Wars and leaders losing face,
Take a peek
What is happening today,
Bloodshed, dying, home far away,
Take a peek,
Mother in park with baby,
Bomb explodes, did they escape, maybe,
Take a peek,
What is the world doing,
What on earth is brewing?
Take a peak
Oh don’t put on the news,
It gives me the blues!
Take a peek,
America, Russia, China and the rest,
Do your best,
Take a peek,
Collectively pinpoint
A similar viewpoint,
Take a peek,
Politicians and politics,
Are coming apart at the seams,
Take a peek,
Do they know what this means,
Take a peak,
Each player wants a piece
Of the pie,
Don’t pay heed to Armageddon been nigh,
Take a peek,
Takes one madman, the button is red,
Presses it and we are all dead!
Peak a boom!
Nigh curious, anxious for a gift so grand,
To see the face of my newly born joy,
Half hoping to see daughter held in hand,
I walked with spring in steps and heart in buoy,
To feel the feeble face of infancy,
To peer at four pounds of thrill ah gift-wrapped—
A long-awaited bliss, rare ecstasy
At last in arms, new fatherhood on tap.
And yet, the newly sent bundle of joy
That showed imprints of mother more than mine,
My prayers answered well, but by a boy,
Not daughter, and still it was more than fine.
‘A gift from heaven, and no less dear still’,
I heard her, trying hard to hide my chill. __________________________________________
Sonnets |05.06.2014| son, daughter, gift
Poet’s note: It happened more than fifty years back and still so fresh in mind. This poem (originally titled: How I Felt Seeing My Son, was penned long years back.
Well hard as they might fight and try
So tight are rarely barely getting by
Sigh jobs squarely unfairly go to AI
Picked nicked then flicked on the sly
No sorrow poor borrow more to buy
Tricked by CGI lie from a cloudy sky
Social media spy pigs in the Tech sty
Future can’t deny no one gets a bye
Suitor will be AI then humans will defy
Pyrrhic critics decry but it is do or die
Titans fight for their piece of the pie
White collar all about the dollar guy
Dash for stash of cash ultimate high
Purloining while just coining on the fly
Spend as know the end is almost nigh
Flash rash brash greed splash they ply
Keys for wheeze must seize or will pry
Happens so fast they have cast the dye
Command it’s about demand & supply
Sycophant pant a creamy dreamy chai
Ego blast will last with your past will vie
Perverse creed gets worse this the storm's eye
Sow the seed impede our swede teed up & fry
Won't conform will curse why must I lie with AI
Plead don’t need IT to perform bellow thy lullaby
No go slow mellow Hello but a wry dry Goodbye
I can never comply with fastidious hygiene
Try as thee most persuasive person might,
he/him, she/her,
they, them... can never wean
yours truly always objected
being told when to bathe/shower
particularly when puberty
found yours truly a tween
and my mother (deceased eighteen
plus years - sess her bowl),
she exerted authority
and told her "take a bath,
or no supper"
analogous to a queen,
strict disciplinarian to boot
who wedded her king
(my late father) at age nineteen
the latter (day saint) quite keen
nevertheless both experienced
love towards each other
and tricked out their progeny
(myself included) with halloween
getup, I vaguely recall Amelie Beth
(their eldest daughter -
older sister of mine)
donned as an angel
lighting up night sky, an empyrean
permanent heavenly fixture
popular through Byzantine
epoch, which blinded
her brother (me),
cuz yours truly, the devil in disguise.
Here I sit scores of decades
now edging closer to the edge of night,
and approaching those twilight years
remembering protesting vehemently
(way past the bewitching hour)
not wanting to wash myself
in the tub (water frigid cold), I write
how mother dearest,
whose presence I wanted to smite
this puny progeny
grappling as a neophyte
whose Lilliputian stature
(when a prepubescent)
a over five feet in height
who when constantly
teased courtesy bullies
ran back to ma mommy
whose son totally affright.
If employed in social services field, why
the above might justifiably
smack of insubordination
hashtagging me as Pigpen thereby
wharf fare prompting me
to cleanse myself diving off a Quai
in an effort for Peanuts gallery
to accept yours truly well nigh
but unfortunately
getting mistakenly captured
as a prisoner of war
forced by Japanese to construct
two parallel bridges spanning
the river Kwai
as part of Burma Railway,
also called the Death Railway,
for the many lives
lost in its construction,
but my daring do,
(and boyish good looks)
found yours truly
whisked away to the island of Hawaii,
where hula dancers
choreographed, entranced, and finessed
their seductive routines
a native lass smitten courtesy
one wily word wizard
whose courage bucked up
after munching powder milk biscuits
taken as mistress
helped beget our daughter,
who became apple of mine eye.
