A Kiss That Showed No Love

Judas was a disciple and a kiss he did convey
to let the soldiers know whom to arrest that day
Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss that showed no love
as a kiss is an expression of love that mankind thought of
but why did Judas pick a kiss as the symbol for his bad act?
why did he choose this gesture of love as a part of his attack?

Judus was a Zealot and patience is not their forte
they wanted Jesus the Messiah to make His move right away
with an ulterior motive in mind Judus tried to force Jesus' mission
unable to see that it's about God's timing and it's always God's decision
yet some think that Judas was weak in his discipleship
as he was not one whom with Jesus had the closest relationship

as humans we are creatures of ambiguity we all have some bad and good
we all have the propensity to misbehave and act as Satan would
we all have a bad seed in us that if the Lord God does not pull out
will flourish over time and have us acting out

now when Judas kissed Jesus, Jesus acknowledged him as friend
but for thirty pieces of silver Judas sold Him out in the end
from weakness to wickedness but for God's saving grave
the Human race would not even exist in this place
Like David a man who the Lord God took to heart
for David never tried to justify the bad acts he did impart

now Jesus the Christ came to us as a living sacrifice
He was God's greatest symbol of the love that He had for human life
for God loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son
who only had a love for us even after His dying was done
high on a cross at Calvary with His last breath
He asked Father God to forgive us for bringing about His death

we do bad things, we carry out acts of betrayal, evil and killing
the things that man has done to man be it accidental or willing
a kiss that showed no love was the gesture that Judas gave
but Jesus still had a love for him even after He arose from the grave

Premium Member Dancing in the Dark

So clamorous in clouds of gray,
to shake once tranquil bliss astir;
reluctantly, it joined the fray,
a tumult tango beckoned her.

On every churning white-capped wave,
where breaths in howling echoes dwell,
they dance ashore and misbehave
where nature's fates forbade, foretell.

Fandango spins upon the seas
where tempests tease a tropic storm,
what once was born a peaceful breeze
now grows in yield, now comes the swarm.

Infatuation's flashing glances
aroused the night beyond the fears
to where once heedful caution dances
to where a love forgets the tears.

So brief, it seems, excitement dwells,
upon the crest of raptured swells...

Traumatic Memories

You should feel ashamed.
What are you an idiot?
The woman is standing there with a baby crying in her arms.
The train is starting and stopping, rapid, erratic, uncaring.
Get the hell up and give this woman your seat!
God, you'd think that Tufts education would give you even a shred of common sense.
Unbelievable.

You should feel ashamed.
He is your blood.
You don't turn your back on him.
No matter what he says to you, take it lying down.
Like a doormat with too many footprints,
he'd stomp you into the ground so flat you'd barely qualify as human.
Disgusting.

You should feel ashamed.
I am your elder and caretaker.
How DARE you be fresh with me!
(Smack!!)
There, now your shame is made manifest
in a handprint across your cheek.
Do not misbehave.
Deviant.

You should feel ashamed.
A sinful heartless monster.
She was just a little girl . (i was just a little boy)
All for gratification.
God you make me sick.
Perverted.

YOU SHOULD FEEL ASHAMED, BIG TIME
THE VILE HORRIFIC THOUGHTS IN YOUR MIND
I MADE YOU IN MY IMAGE
GO AND TELL THE PEOPLE
GO AND BURN DOWN THE CITIES
GO RAPE AND PILLAGE THE INNOCENT
THIS IS WHO YOU ARE
BECAUSE THIS IS WHO I SAY YOU ARE
IF YOU QUESTION ME EVEN FOR A SECOND
I SWEAR ON MY LIFE GOD WILL STRIKE YOU BLIND
A SINFUL HEARTLESS MONSTER
I MADE YOU IN MY IMAGE
DEATHWORSHIPPER

(ok ok i get it.
but i don't think i should feel ashamed.
 because shame is misdirected anger,
and anger is another name for fear,
none of which are even remotely loving)

(so i'll tell you what we're gonna do...
you can all feel ashamed on my behalf.
you carry the overwhelming guilt, the recorded evidence...
i am a sinful heartless monster)

(just keep repeating that to yourselves over and over again,
and leave me the hell alone.
i'll be outside on a long overdue leisurely stroll.
believe me, i could use a breath of fresh air)

Premium Member Mama Forgive Your Son-

Mama I'm sorry
 for what I've done
 I am sorry for those
sins I've caused from the womb

I misbehave
but with Jesus
through Him
 I am saved

Mama I'm sorry for what I've done
I'm sorry for all the wrongs
Forgive me your sinful son
 I am a product Adam

I hidden my shames and sins in the brush
I was naked I have lost
This I confess
 but now I've turned around
I'm put a cloth of righteousness on
and through Jesus's grace
 I cannot face
I'm sorry for what I've done
Unrighteous son
Mama forgive me for what I've done

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Teaching Me To Do Your Will

February 7 Scripture Meditations Based on Deuteronomy 6-10

Key Verse – Deuteronomy 6:1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR TEACHING ME TO DO YOUR WILL

Thank You for teaching me to do Your will’s statutes
Toward fearing You reverentially along what Your authority institutes
By keeping my heart to love You, appreciating Your attributes
Though sometimes, I fail due to doubts in those where my skill contributes.

Thank You for teaching me to do Your will’s judgments
Toward honouring You sincerely along Your truth-pronouncements
By humbling my mind to submit to You against humanistic predicaments
Though sometimes, I show arrogance in my sentiments.

Thank You for teaching me to do Your will’s preachings
Toward molding me to behave attentively along Your watchings
By training my ability to serve You midst Your doctrine-enrichings
Though sometimes, I question Your ways in my searchings.

Thank You for teaching me to do Your will’s precepts
Toward trusting You fully along Your principles and divine concepts
By strengthening my spirituality against carnality that intercepts
Though sometimes, I yield to temptations which my soul accepts.

Thank You for teaching me to do Your will’s commands
Toward serving You diligently along what Your commission brands
By driving my commitment to continue against shaking sands
Though sometimes, I falter upon skepticism stands.

Thank You for teaching me to do Your will’s declarations
Toward following You completely along Your laws and assertions
By correcting my flaws and errors, rebuking me of my transgressions
Though sometimes, I complain which I cannot deny in my actions.

Thank You for teaching me to do Your will’s standards
Toward delighting in You joyfully along Your safety-guards
By binding my all with Your salvation-blessings, free from hell-hazards
Though sometimes, I misbehave and forfeit my aspired rewards.

Eternal Spring Collaboration

The longest shadows start and end the day
like thoughts that creep from embryo to grave
so here within the midday sun we pray
to not be where the shadows misbehave.

But even in the bliss of summer highs,
bold thunder clouds roll in to snap and sneer.
When daunting lightning fractures purple skies,
its striking beauty slays instinctive fear.

A child has dreams of what life may become,
as elders wish they'd captured all those dreams,
but in the midst of life we all succumb
to fate and its bizarre unwritten schemes.

Yet in the face of unexpected pain,
we have the strength to confiscate the quill,
to change the tune of fate's unsung refrain.
Then, from our daring hearts, the ink will spill.

It drips on clefs that show us what to sing:
a world of notes that paint eternal spring.

This is a heroic sonnet that I wrote with Craig Cornish, one of my favourite gents here on PS!
I wrote verses 2&4 and line 2 of the couplet
Craig wrote verses 1&3 and the first line of the couplet

Christ the Beacon of Love

Jesus is the beacon of love
That we know will never fade
With his angels that come from above
They are sent down to bless our days
He is the joy that will crave
The potter that muds us into heavenly creatures
His mercy is always sufficient even when we
misbehave
And get carried away by our human nature
He will never abandon our souls
Even though others have walked away
For the Almighty already knows
We need his beacon of love each and every day
He guild us with his supreme security
Ensuring that our days are filled with peace
He's kindness rules the world of humanity
With boundless care that is never on a lease
He is always there watching our back
Lighting our path to heaven with his glowming light
Ensuring we are on the right track
Each time we let him out of our sight
Without his love where would we be?
What would be left here for you and me?
A world faced without hope in pure tragedy
For darkness is all that we would see
He is a symbol of our happiness
A road map to everlasting life
The strength to our weakness
And harmony to all our earthly strife
A beacon of love grows within our hearts
Since the day we all were all born
Giving us the strength to survive what seems dark
Allowing within the shadows a radiant light to
transform
We will never face a day where we are unloved
A day of not seeing a ray of sunshine
Because through the grey clouds that hover up above
Glimpses of heaven are shown that we’ll always be
able to find
Even in times of hardship
Our days he will surely bless
For we are entwined in his heavenly fellowship
That's why he will never ever give up on us

When

When people don't understand you
Most tend to misbehave
May be not as will
It just happened
Be it a play
Or reality
In their
World

Laugh ?? Cry ?? Smile ?? Frown ??; be true
Enjoy each of the Phases thoroughly
But never mind how they manage
Don't be shy to watch closely
When it comes gradually
On Off Beeping its light
To draw near "cool thou"
As hits whisper afar
The clock of eyes
Tick and tack
Holding tongue
Out of thy mouth
Watching
In awe

When the time is right ?? or left??
The moment may be now or then
To turn the memory sweet or sour
Creamy or thick ??, just be handy
For rage is happiness own theft
And regrets messenger out of den
Timing hour for whom to devour
Without necessarily been bandy

Laugh till lips go dry
Cry all you can not brief
Smile the pale face; be not shy
Frown the cruel mind on face cum relief
Be choosy even though tears try
Be mad even at the best motif
Mood may be right what eyes bely
Much fun is left to get anew being interleaf

When tears roll for real on the rock
It washes away the dirts of its face
Rent young look to the ancient block
Rough touches then enjoy new grace
With light- sun would visit again on it
And make the half hard go hard a bit
Until the last segment feel the impact
Then it wonders how sun duly extract

That is how time heals
All fears far fun fly the hills
Heart now ride on rollercoaster
Where jolly bliss be the toaster
Oven bakes on mind's peace
And the head laughs the face tease
Till such pleasure is made known
For art to be pure and cool on its own

Before the Day Turned Into Nigh - ITQ

Through veils of rose twilight dances
Wink, a smile, coquettish glances
Flirts with the stars, the moon, perchance,
Promise for dusky romances.

She wears sheer hues that silhouette
The shapely shades of dusk’s coquette
Amber tease in fuchsia ballettes
Light and shadows in dusk’s duets.

This playful minx just can’t behave
Teases nightfall with siren’s faves,
Golden tones split the airy waves,
Night encouraged to misbehave.

Before the day turned into night
A coral kiss turns off the lights.

Engaged In Road Rage

I was driving to work on Monday morn
when behind me I heard a honking horn
A guy's middle finger taunted with scorn,
and that's the moment my road rage was born.

Normally, I'd smile and give him a wave
like I hadn't seen the finger he gave,
but this dude continued to misbehave
and almost rammed me. It was a close shave!

Traffic was slow. There must've been a wreck.
We were barely moving along this trek,
as his face turned red, then so did his neck,
but I didn't cause it, so what the heck?

Then every lane came to a complete stop.
He screamed at me on the highway black top.
I opened my door to jab him a pop...
a Mr. Miyagi karate chop!

He lunged at me, with breath smelling of brew
so, I sidestepped boozy punches he threw.
Can't fight a drunk although I came close to
when he gestured again, yelling, "Screw you!!!"
