In the mirror of this world
I see a face that is not my own
A stranger,dripping tears of blood
And cast with impunity to the very depths of hell
Dwelling in the haunted shadows
Cursed to wander this accursed world alone
Forbidden to love, hate a name to be embraced
Lest you fall asunder in the bosom of a friend
The horrors of living oft in a void
Seeing the evils that man doth did alone
Flesh eat flesh, blood cast and trampled in mud
Power and fame, the price of one's soul to sell
The world, a place where evil grows
Birth to death birthing a cycle of woe
Preaching of godless men yet hearts unfazed
Man or fiend, both journey towards the same end
But is this all there is
Is the hope of men like burnt wood?
Is life a brutal endless cycle
That death is but a welcome reprieve?
Nay,but there is a cycle of love and peace
There is the end of all that is good
A greeting that ends with a smile
And a deed of which is hope revived.
We stand on ice that feels much too thin,
six feet suddenly feeling like miles.
Our footing is loose on this shaky ground,
and the cracks can be heard all around.
I see the fearmongering, the conspiracies,
the boredom and the sadness of separation,
the blame and the vitriolic remarks -
yet amidst it all, I also see sparks.
They reside in the eyes of the kind, the saints,
they light the fires in our heroes' hearts.
They shocked the minds that took this crazy race to space,
and they'll carry us out of this frightening place.
They kindle the muse in the artists,
keeping everyone as sane as can be.
They ignited that burning midnight oil
that fuels the healer's noble toil.
There they are, surrounding so many hands,
touching but for the pane of glass;
there again, glinting on that man's flag as stars,
shining for those in the passing cars.
On our media they jump from post to post,
from puzzles to videos, to jokes and "I spys",
from pictures to chatting, and all in between -
living in smiles passed through a screen.
Yawning before us is this chasmic abyss,
but we have what it takes not to fall.
Hope is in those sparks, our humanity, our drive -
let them burn, let them spread, and we will survive.
The unexpected words of gratitude
come out of the mouths that receive kindness;
I have noticed puzzled and despised looks
from some aquaintances and friends
who seemed baffled by my thankfulness
and honesty for being a very grateful dude.
Let them call me an imbecile or an idiot,
someone who values others' generosity;
they didn't provide for my needs in my strife!
I won't regret anything that feels right;
how could their greediness ignore my necessity,
if they never thought about my demise?
Is personal happiness a source of harmony,
if there's no willingness to share prosperity?
Give some of it away to make someone happy;
what good is it to have luck and be so greedy?
A treasure has to be guarded constantly from thieves
who can figure it out how to steal it with slickness.

Energy descent
need not predict financial descent
by inviting cooperative ownership and governance instead.
Just as democratizing love descent
need not predict hate and terror and paranoid acceleration
when love could invite more polypathic
and polyphonic
and polycultural outcomes,
creolizing multicultures of omnipotent abundance
instead.
Just as climates of ecopolitical pathology descent
need not predict 0-sum
Win To Lose Later
Industrial Capitalization Game-Over
when positive energy invites more diastatic flowing landscapes,
cultures of regenerative health
watering flowers
and not so much our weeds.
The day my life went 'hatter' mad
When carnage of the saddest sad
Rained down hell from high above
One soul of darkness void of love ...
What horrors did my eyes behold?
The limbs of humans shredded cold
Twisted, that soul with hatred rife
Defiling the sacred charge of life ...
O what perversions faith has spun
When babes are target number one
In such a world of grief and doom
Where love and joy find little room ...
Why is innocence thus debased
By fiends who wear a friendly face?
Countless tears that terror draws
For such forsaken, heinous cause ...
How can we hope to e'er defeat
This beast with evil so replete?
How will we quell a monster thus
That laughs and lives and looks ...
Like US?

It’s 25° C clear
but she’s gone.
The outlines of her shadow, hoping
that they’ll have a chance of putting them into use
in the fashion world.
She wears a black, backless dress
with a plunging front.
The soft contours of her breasts are revealed
through the mirrors on the walls.
On the front page a gazette
her cat walk
rushing down to the battle.
Here, you’re making the neighbours squirm.
Here, you’re making their claymores shriek their hatred.
That’s why your body sags against the bar in fatigue.
You’re trying to remember your voice.
Remember, your phone rings again.
It’s a voice you’ve heard,
that incandescent panic spread through the hall.
They’re marrying her.
They’re scarifying her for their day’s events.
You’ve made me interested in how she’s thinking
& you can’t control this with your beard.
Your gaffe is all there.
You gaze with gratitude.
On that day of our life,
Our loudest silence shall
Turn most eyes to the ground,
Squeezing tears from their once-happy, dry faces.
We shall drive a human-wheeled car through the air
As we lay down majestically, enjoying our final trip
To the dark, silent valley of destiny,
With the crowd moving slowly while they sing hymns
And praises to the Overseer of the universe.
We shall park our car in a short, shallow valley of darkness,
As we hide our faces from the face of the world,
Taking our eternal nap in a place where no light can penetrate.
In this one-way valley of no return, we shall lay down at six feet,
Looking towards the sky, as we watch our spirits
proceed to the godly heaven.
The sound of human feet, running cars, or grazing animals
May be heard, but our screams from this depth
Will never exceed an inch away.
The crowd will return to their homes,
To their women and children,
Leaving our own to despair over the good days gone,
Hoping that the holy words are true.
Our families will console themselves by believing that,
In this valley of silence, we are dancing with the angels
And singing to the Almighty Creator.
They will faintly smile, at least knowing we will never be hungry in this valley.
But the children will cry hard, thinking that
Their parents are drinking all the rainwater that floods around.
Life is a complex without a god.
Feel too much, risk being wrong.
Sit in silence, agree, just nod.
We wish it didn't take that long.
Feel like a slave, get smacked with a rod.
Sit down, believe that you're strong.
We all need a break from lifes daily fraud.
Please stay seated and sing your hearts song.
I'll be here, I'll listen, I'll applaud.
Wake up to the sound of a life changing gong.
Reality rarely
really rallies
a real rapture or a ripple.
Condescending criminals
cornering creative cons
causes us to cripple.
We're never as strong as we think.
We need a reminder
from a soul
not on the brink
I'm not so sure what is at stake.
Sleep is overrated.
Am I even awake?
You can take love
to the store~ that's nice,
but the cashier will say
kindly, that I need a bit
more...
You can take love to the bank,
and the teller will say, that's nice
but not a deposit, dear, to be
quite frank...
One takes love to the Altar:
I also do, but two years latter
the relationship may be thoroughly
through...
for in the scheme of physical reality
love is not coin even accepted by
charity, as the plate is passed
from hand to hand down the pew
if not delivered your 10%
the priest may think, damn you!
Yet, I confess, being addicted to love,
no great wealth on earth, small price to pay
for tokens fitting the turnstile above....
Racism, ageism, sexism, name it!
If there was tech-ism, we’d have to game it
Why should the pattern of reckless decision
Further a hate based on sex or religion
Why not let love and let live be your “ism”
Spreading its beauty like light through a prism
Loveism, likeism, careism, make it!
After a while, you would not have to fake it
What if our would had no isms at all
Changing the course of our strange little ball
Love and let live and leave others alone
Foster the greatest true love ever known
