Bear or Bury?

I need to let it go when its run its course.
But this pain... this lacking. I always feel the hole it leaves. Letting it go feels wrong.
But Why?!
Like im losing a piece that sustains me...
But it hurts. Everytime. More and more.
I reflexively look for it everywhere.
How I do I shut that off?
And that is what scares me.
How do you stop something that feels as involuntary as breathing?
And if you do... Will what it sustains die?
Would it return in the face of it?
And that question that haunts me.
What would be worse?
Living. Hoping. Crashing. Repairing. Repeating
Or finding a way to stop the involuntary?

But that feels like dying when I imagine it.

Are those really my only choices?
Bear it till the end?
Or bury it?

Premium Member The Fragile Heart

The tenderness of the fragile heart,
Resembles a historic yet dramatic,
Work of art as seen through the ages.
The portrait never shows broken hearts,
Devastation of death or the,
Heartbreak of losing a child.
The heart cries in silence,
As you mourn in the dark shadows.
The many prayers to God or a higher power,
It was left on deaf ears.
There is no voice of reason that can,
Explain the complexity and finality of death.
The buckets of tears that we cry leaves
Us devastated as Angels,
Hold us and our grieving heart.
Our soul connects to our,
Compassionate healing heart,
Rendering a future of hope and faith,
In the years to come.
Kind words and a smile express an,
Understanding of renewal,
For the heart that once was broken.

My First Love

When I was young
You loved me unconditionally
There was nothing
You wouldn’t do for me
You even gave me
Your last
As I grew up
You tried to teach me
Some of life’s lessons
Because you were in the world
When I hurt
You comforted me
Often telling me
Everything will be alright
You gave me
A shoulder to cry on
When my heartache was
More than I could bare
You were the light
The strong force in my life
I miss you daily
I still feel
The pain in my heart
From your absence
Wishing on a star
That you were here
If only I could go back in time
I would change the outcome
And have you standing by my side
I love you daddy!

Premium Member Maybe Because I'M Skinny Now

Sure feel the cold a whole lot more
Since losing a bunch of pounds
Never considered there'd be side effects
And there's surely others I've found

Actually need a whole new wardrobe
Costly to lose so much weight
One good thing I can fit my old clothes
I wore on my very first date

Another thing is I can ask for a booth
At my favourite eatery again
Instead of sitting conspicuously at a table
Embarrassing me and my friends

Even can be seen in my Speedo once more
Showing off my skinny physique
Haven't done that for a very long while
It's been almost fifty-two weeks

For those of you thinking of maybe a diet
Be aware of the side effects
But all in all you'll feel real fantastic
And regain your self respect

Rock 'N Roll Rhyme Fest-All My Love

"ALL MY LOVE"
ALBUM: IN THROUGH THE OUR DOOR
-LED ZEPPELIN

Perfectly c o m p o s e d on the album “In Through The Out Door”,
Robert Plant and John Paul Jones sang “ALL MY LOVE” live-
Led Zeppelin had been drifting apart, but this song was for
Plant’s son Karac who died of a stomach infection at age five.

Not a traditional love song, but a tribute to a l i f e l e s s child,
it took Plant ten years to try to make sense of his death-
At that time Jimmy Page and John Bonham had been acting wild,
while Plant was struggling to take another heartbroken breath.

Losing a child brings a s o r r o w no parent should have to bear,
but a deep mourning can bring a lyricist to write brilliance-
From this tragedy Plant began to heal and graciously shared
his tenacity from a time of anguish into buoyant resilience.

This complex song was full of yearning with a sense of bittersweet,
an i n t e r n a l struggle with loss and deprivation of life’s meaning-
A sacred time in the life when a parent should admit defeat,
“ALL MY LOVE” was a song written from Plant’s heart that was bleeding.

Premium Member Gone

My grief riddled mind is racing
my heart is beating fast
and my breaths are shallow
as I wake up from a troubled dream

And I remember that my son is gone

I can't even remember exactly what
was troubling about the dream,
but reality hits the moment that
I fully wake up

My son is gone

I suspect this will happen daily
until it really sinks in
that I have lost 1/4 of my
immediate family

Because my son is gone

The nurturer in me seeks
out my husband to see how he is
handling the new day and we
realize that neither slept well

Because our son is gone

Facing a hard day with little sleep
is something we are used to now,
almost a week since they pronounced
the death of our youngest son

Our sweet son is gone

Losing a child is a kind of pain
that you just can't explain
and I pray that most of my friends
and family don't have to face

A son being gone

I keep telling myself to put one foot
in front of the other and accompish
what must be done to get ready
for the funeral

How can my son be gone?

How is this real?
Questioning reality does not help.
so I try to move on but I wonder
how my world will keep moving

After my son is gone

Nothing Left Within the Left

They once cheer-led the working class,
until they were useful no more,
now they call all of them ‘racist,’
to be hated and deplored.
Ignoring that it’s wholly sane
to fear losing a scarce job
to an illegal immigrant,
to be well and truly robbed.
But all of this was done before,
it’s a cold and brutal fact,
the left created old Jim Crow,
bigot votes feathered their hats,
until they decided dark folks were good,
and handouts their votes did net,
one day they will be cast off too,
there’s nothing left within the left.

They once championed free speech,
now they’re singing a different tune,
if they don’t like what you’ve to say
then they just try to censor you.
And if you still keep talking,
they send out PC-hate brigades
to mob your home, get you fired,
take everything you love away.
If you mention the rule-of-law
all you’ll hear is their laughter,
associate with one of their foes,
they’ll throw you to a prosecutor.
If they find no crime they make one up,
it’s the tactic that they like best,
no cares for justice or the truth,
there’s nothing left within the left.

If you should dare to worship,
try to live by those beliefs,
they’ll say you are ‘intolerant,’
that you conscience is ‘bigotry.’
And yet should any one of them
break a single P.C. law,
they’re ostracized and cast right out,
without a single moment of thought.
When you point out that they have just
chosen a different, unproven faith,
they cry “Fascist!” or just stand there
with a blank look on their face.
Unless, of course, you join Islam,
then they cry,”Don’t even jest!”
Up ’till the day they get blown up…
there’s nothing left within the left.

They still cling to socialism,
though it fails and devastates,
they’d rather rule a ruin then
admit they have made a mistake.
They push us towards a civil war,
if we are not already their,
and the shocking thing about it
is that they do not seem to care.
Power is all they’ve left to crave,
they jones for it like and addict,
if they break lives in its pursuit
then they are just fine with it.
No love of freedom still remains,
morals and principals bereft,
the walkaway folks have it right,
there’s nothing left within the left.

Except maybe death…

Premium Member This Is For All the Forgets That We Found

This is for all the forgets that you found. The not coming back but are always around. The next step at losing a back for the frame. Lost in a lesson like “remember my name”. This is an always with a door next to there. A face in a crowd yet a fact of so rare. The never, the notion, the nearer by far. The lesson, the blessing is easy, like a seatbelt for your car. With an over and under in a trip down a lane. The “how to” and “whys” for a second the same. So forget all the figures in a withdraw like a loan. The found is around near in never alone. The detail, the retails are not a sell for a dash. The stars not three bars like a win for the cash. So like all the teachers there’s a reach for a test. The AB plus C in a make for the best. This is an always with the end like in near. With remember my name for a dart-like in dear. This is for the all your if’s with regrets. With better at bat and a base on a yet. So recall the snowfalls with the tracks of your tears. They’ll keep coming back if you never get clear.

Another Dream

Another dream

My strength seeps from the cracks,
crevices ripped in a single slip
Reaching for hope again
I left my chest wide open

Streams of worth
flow like lying children
stealing quarters from the collection plate
at Sunday school - knowing it is a sin

More of the same, though different
beneath stained glass shadows
with leaking pens pointing
to the exit vestibule below

Staining my crisp white shirt,
collecting in the wrinkles
of this button down nightmare,
pooling at my motionless feet

Exhaustion cradles and I can’t move,
losing a step at each turn
Internal screaming becomes deafening
as the pain sings harmony off key

I see my face in the stainless steel
but can not reach my wrists
It falls, mingling with debris,
scattered amidst this love I’ve lost

I am weak, I know weak,
I have taken this test before
Lessons on blackboards never sink in,
report cards inked in letters far down the scale

There is no more running, only hiding from myself
Sleeping in the darkness of my fears knowing
they will only bring another dream,
that I will once again follow

Life Note To Self

(Life note to self — answer God’s call and walk hope’s hall with my head up with a heart of fearlessness, not appall)

Living this life has made me feel so much strife as of lately...but I’m making it alive by numbing the pain I’ve been feeling for a while now..I must sleep to get rid of the sweat on my brow
I felt like dying tonight, but deep down, I want to live freely...fake it till I make it is what I keep telling myself and I’m driven insane somehow...anyhow, I’m going to take a bow
Feel the thunderstorm of my heart beating
Enjoy a life full of joy and keep defeating

Negativity and its demons that dare to break you and I...God has filled me up with His might
Oh, I have an ode for myself — it’s a life note, not a death note...who knew I’d end up, losing a bit of faithfulness inside...but I need motivation to be by my side and soon enough, I will survive tribulation’s extraterrestrial tide
Tension and apprehension fills my mind and I’m so blind, but I was blessed with great sight
Elevate my empathy towards You and look forward to brighter days, so that I won’t cry these tears and simply cower away...something in me has died, but I’m confident that all cynicism will soon subside

Trying to let go of hopelessness and give in to tranquility’s hold - a peace that I need tremendously, so I’m giving it a try...I’ll try to fly...I must be bold...I must be bold and do what I am told, so that God’s Word doesn’t remain cold in my mind’s eye
Overly thinking over different dilemmas in my life and I don’t ever want to die...even if my mind says otherwise, I will become a happy man — that, I can’t deny

Shame embraced me, never leaving my presence...my beloved heart beats in remembrance
Of You and Your elegant effulgence...I remember the good times spent with the Father of Truth...Empath of loneliness and bearer of griefs of various kinds— that’s who I once was
Sometimes, life doesn’t make sense, but I’m looking forward to jubilance and His excellent radiance...
Free-spiritedly shines anew through the open doors of my mind’s eye...God loves us and reads our life notes of endurance and awesomeness, despite our downfalls and flaws...

(Life note to self — stand tall through it all and when I fall, I will get back up and get on the ball...)
