everyone here is inspiring....at least to me....
"Poetry Souper Heroes"
by: Eric L. Boddie
If only Dr. Upma A. Sharma had seen
That Ligella Mandraki was an Angel with Broken Wings
Then her complaint could have been resented
And for whatever her need, she could let Emile Pinet
Because Robert Lindley and Catie Lindsey had plans for The Lyric
Poet Destroyer....A wordsmith like me just wouldn't hear it
So I sought out the Bev-Smith, she creates irons to Beautify the hair
But I only found Lycia, Harding a journey I thought was so fair
But what I found most surprising was the presence of the Silent One
Who said his very first words, which was simply, "Alexis? Young"
Maybe this was a warning, I mean it's not right to Skat A child
TOMMY....BOY you better stop could be heard for at least a mile
He said he was a Tim Smith, but how do you create Tims
He said he had 37 sons and that was the name for all of them
In search of the Lone Wolf Mystery, but all he ever knew was to poke her
Only Pandita Sanchez said no, so he made Eve Roper
With a bold look, he told her "let James In-man"
And she said "I ain't no dude, I am like Jan, Allison, Anne, Lise, And-resen"
And then he saw her and said "Kum-kum Sharma, please let her in...."
to be continued.....
The party last night was amazing.
Every one must have got the
memo because I saw a lot of my
soup friends. Jack, Jan, Tom and
Bob had a awesome limerick party.
Wing Warrior told jokes on a stage
Bobby and Mike Messina went next.
( I'm still laughing by the way).Chris
passed out all kinds of smiles of
different sizes. Next he wrote a
dreamy poem on the spot. Gershon
was the DJ. He had mad skills too!
Mark Massey and John Gondolf
we're in Sonnet square. Their
Sonnets were simply amazing.
Andrea, Connie , Pixie and CayCay
prepared the food. It was so festive
and delicious. The desert they made
just melted in your mouth. Freddie
sang Christmas songs. He sounded
so good. Many were shocked. John
Hamilton also sang some songs
that he wrote. The closing act as
singing goes was Greg B., Sandra
Heidi, and Dear Heart chose to do
spoken word of their amazing
poetry. Caren had her very own
Haibun corner. Across from them
Anne-Lise had a Senryu corner as
well. Eve held down the Artist circle.
Her portraits looked so life like.
Victor And Jennifer recited of their
poems. They are amazing story tellers.
Richard and Demetrios read some
excerpts from their books. Vijay
and Silent held a Pantoum party.
I saw new soupers that haven't met
dressed as elves, Santas, and snow-
men I introduced myself to several of
them.I didn't want the night to end, but
everything has to end. I can't wait until
next year. I don't know how they can
top last night. It was the best party ever.
*This will be my last Christmas poem,
I think. Happy Holidays to you all.
Have a wonderful 2020!
My apologies everyone not mentioned
in this poem. I'll try to keep in mind
next time
Have a wonderful 2020!
Twilight has it's own wings and its own melody
Battles with the mystery of a sun setting horizon dawning hues
Pearl white smile's from the moon, in a mood of beautiful seduction
Oracle within one thousand chants dances with the shadows of night shades
For you, I will catch every star that I see in the evening sky surrenders
Sparkling silver dust their trails leave magic spells whispers deeply winds
Drinking from the milky way a mix of delicious chocolate
Icing of a thousand shape shifting patterns emerge glowing
Soft caramel and gorgeous nougat smiles golden melting
Under a canopy of stars you remain cradled forever beautiful
I would love to dance like planets that circulate around the sun
Blood's rivers are like red cherries and float like wine
Its colorful aura exudes amazing happiness
Sweet like a dream, I lean my cheek on lace pillows
Everything feels so right, our love will grow strong

* Poem of the Week ; 14.01.2018
While the pale stars shine above
Entering a world beyond dreams
When beauty shines through peaceful harmony
Shadows dance where sweet music stands spellbound
A link of iron our love so strong
Bells inside distant echoes bouncing over oceanic waves
We shall never see the ghosts
Invading purest crystal light encircled
The words are written in white silver
Like a bolt of lightening striking clouds
On a journey of high waves in your hair
Pockets of air within skips kiss every strand
I feel dreams meet you in daylight halfway 's
Starlight across every wing holds strong
Heartbeats inside flames and rhythm will never die
Loving only valentines eternal, breathing sands of time
Everything will be wonderful, as long as you're near
Embraced in sparks destinies fate ever existing romance
The quest is holding on until finding earth,s smitten angel
My heart has found you breathtaking beautiful spirit we fly free

(unrhymed couplets)
A snowflake always spells unique in words
Frozen songs from heaven
Melting into the heart
Stunning winter kisses warm
My passion is deep,rooted
flowing through the heart
Rolling out a carpet of divine purity
What better way to rest easy
Soft white footprints remain
In the snow you’ve made
Where an angel dances
In a vision of beauty
Warmly upon the breath
Floating on the wave of love
Silver dancing ice breaks
This soul can now reach Heaven
I melt into your snowflake
A winter rose is born
Blown forever silken sparkles kiss
Into one beauty of a starlight vision
On me so deeply inside purity and happiness blooms

A man who wrote with strokes so bold’ of the
Struggle of humanity.. Long may his excerpts
Be told’ he helped write the American constitution, all his writes are original; and Often Concerned with restitution.. Yet too much
To satan I see he gave, with that line on ruling
A error (most grave!) though he was only human as
Anne Lise put on shaky…Yet effects are far reaching, through many a century..’ As I will
Here put this man’s work on the whole was good’ yet I’d not give a whit to the devil..’ if
I do? Then condemn me, that things may be
That be well understood.’ Consider Joseph in
The Egypt of old, who gathered the grain and
Kept it as gold, slowly he took all the people did
Hold, then put them in usury.. Was God really
Glad? It says much of the world that he”s a
Hero at all. Do we have inbuilt moral decrepitude? What say ye all.?
The Moon, The Swan, The Rose
I see an enchanted image that you’ve never dreamed of
With reflections twinkling while dancing on wave drops
Of a dreamy blue lake that is a mirror of one white swan
A dancing beauty with a pureness that blesses this water
She floats like a princess with such an elegance and grace
As splendor ripples through a lens of her divine existence
A canvas painting as one masterpiece beyond compare
As the moonlight manifests a sweet rose in my dreams
Beautiful to desire now that nothing shall be disturbed
Within a frozen memory a brilliant diamond illuminates
As the full moon’s image enters the depths of her soul
And a sad, certain loneliness leaves her spirit exhausted
Arising before my eyes on the wings of angels I see all
Clearly now with an excited, fluttering magical heartbeat
Believe me—that this eternal blue sky is incredibly real
With a golden orb of light colors reflecting so exquisitely
Now as majestic images of God’s Heaven appear above
I see His very image of the Moon, the Swan, and the Rose

September 2, 2015 (Unrhymed Tercet)
They whisper their sonnets and surrender their thrones gracefully
Consuming tunes sweetly echoing and crowning a heart with love
Your gentle words, your tender touch, so much divine beauty as
Our two stars sparkle as one soul with one golden smile of eternity
When the sun rises in the east and the sun sets in the west we know
While looking upon a dream holding the deepest vision awestruck
The new sun across the sky passes so the soul can reach its destiny
And you vanquished all doubts of me burning as one flame on fire
Knowing the winds in Heaven mix forever in a powerful divine glory
With one angel standing before our eyes as destiny sparks its promise
That in God’s way it must be the message of love we feel so strongly
Embracing forever the alchemy of two stars blazing hot with emotion
Dreams and fantasies merge with this wonderful bliss ever so gently
As faraway rising is your sunshine holding hands warmly as a regal gift
And a truth filled with blessing, deeply peaceful and complete as we pray
Under a bridge of hope with colors kissing the heart and soul of a dream
Love and devotion pervade our eternal desire of oneness with the Lord God
As His heavenly guard ushers our souls together with purpose before Him
And as a choir of angels sing their majestic paeans honoring this moment
We see now our dreams melding as one as our two stars sparkle as one soul

To honor Harry memory
a much loved and respected poet
He could cast a spell with his clear verse
identifying himself with any sonnet
with first class reviews
No shortage of inspiration
He put into words what most of us can only feel
On the towpath ... between memories and the sea
sand slips out between the fingers
Harry kept his dream alive
(watch, train journeys via You Tube)
a desire to experience Norway by train
pass vast agricultural landscapes
through a rich selection of nature experiences
Sparkling blue rivers and gushing waterfalls
Winding mountain roads, fjords and valleys
Churches from the 17th century
Humble aging farms in places
one would have thinking that no one could live
_____ one day we'll drive this journey together
... you and me ... Harry

"Dead leaves lay still until the wind takes them
here and there: even the last flower is withered:
yet there is a beauty in decay. "
Quote by _Constance La France
Autumn fell asleep crying
everything changed overnight
Its love, sold poor happiness
passively carried along by the storm
Leaves, as fallen soldiers
the jaws of darkness devoured all
Even the last flower is withered
sealed in the sleep of grace
It is only when we wake up
we realize what beauty is gone
