Faithful Guardian

Just when I think I can’t go on
one more minute or one day
Lord you’re there to encourage me
as my loving protege.

With grace and love you lift me out
of my despondency,
and when I’ve lost direction,
you light the way for me.

When burdens seem to weigh me down
I see the signs you’re there,
to give me faith and hope again
to overcome despair.

The miracles I see each day
are there to enable me
to see that life is a precious thing
despite adversity.

With hope and love you show me Lord
that life is worth the pain,
There’s much to lose if we give up,
but with life, much more to gain.

Her final days, a mercilessly cold, never-ending night
Her eyes have grown so weary, always averting from the light
That used to burst within her. It has grown tragically dull
The bloomed flowers of her life is wilting as death comes to call
A terminally ill woman accepts her fate; embracing the dark
She's crossing the rubicon of doom; a journey so cold and stark

She lies dying, deeply submerged in depression's murky ocean
Scythe-wielding Grim Reaper lurks about as she lies devoid of motion
Her eyes sadder than a lonely moon, they bare no iota of spark
Moribund; her spirits, somber. Her sunny days; now charcoal dark
She hears the death-knell; a crow, outside, cawing of morbid dread
Her hopes and dreams have drowned in a well, soon she'll be dead

Again They Visit

Christmas is almost here
And just as I feared
Those ghosts came back
Even this year they appeared

Doubt came and sucked the happy from me
Smiled and sucked some more so greedy
Astonished I wasn't ready
My footing shaky not so steady

With an evil chuckle he zips away
The nightmare begins today

Sorrow slips in like thick goo
Sticking to everything even my memories of you
Leaving my soul heavy and blue
Then on cue

He sluggishly slips back out
It's gonna be bad never has sorrow followed doubt
I don't know what this is about
Then I hear the fevered shout

Anger came fast and with fury
Snapping and biting this time with a partner, worry
God I wish they'd hurry

As anger flares and worry sets in, the wounds are deep
Silence still I keep
Watching as my life is destroyed and my scars seep
Love dripping still not one peep

Love came forth smiling down
Not understanding why him, I frown

It didn't take long and the answer was given
Words seduce me reel me in
This is so much worse I seek my end
Only to fail again

Love cuts deep
Breaks bangs tearing nothing will it let me keep
Drowning in pain I can't even speak
Mind and body beaten and weak
Unbelievable that love hurts then at its worse it's very peak

On my knees I'm praying for the last visit to be him
I can't believe I survived them
My spirit dims
As I sit shaking weeping weak waiting for him or the return of them
Now just numb within
Why can't this nightmare my life end

TRIBUTE TO MY DAD

On the 4th of December 2015
You departed
For a journey of no return
Going beyond
Leaving behind
All you love and worked for
None can fill the void you left behind
We miss you our lovely father
Rest in power not in peace, dad.

You were a mantle of leadership
A man of integrity and more
Always guiding and protecting
All you love unapologetically
Love you always give without hesitating
Telling us it's the greatest force in the Universe
Death is inevitable and life is unpurchaseable.

You departed without a notice
After a brief illness
While we were all waiting for your healing
You left when we needed you most
You were so crazy about your ambition
Leaving a legacy behind your priority
We still aching from the pains of your deceased
This trauma is forever, our irreplaceable dad
You'll forever live in our hearts, your children.

by turns,
    going up
        and down,
lacking
precise equilibrium;
life is...
 but a seesaw.
sometimes
         we rise.
sometimes
          we fall.
       when
you find yourself
    squatting
on the down end,
never mind
the brooding gray clouds
hovering
overhead.
           do not
      disembark.
           do not
      count yourself out.
because...
 come afternoon,
sunshine
will peak through it.
you're down,
      though not for long!
       so, sit tight
   on that seesaw,
     which will
inevitably rise...
up, up, up!
and when your feet
  f i n a l l y
lifts off the ground,
      release
white elephants
     within
to the welcoming wind.
     shake off
         any encumberance
               on your shoulder.
outstretch
        your arms
as though
you're about to fly.
taste the air
         with your tongue.
taste the newfound freedom
taste life
       itself.

Life is birth
Life is death
Life is pain
Life is love and love lost
Life is a journey to your death
So paint many pictures
Cherish many memories
Celebrate good cheer
You’ll be dead soon enough
Meaningless as the random birth of a star
That will only later explode in red blood
Life will toss you a smile or two
A warm moment, or Monet, who cares
Only to steal it back from you
So why bother with this tedious journey
Towards the ultimate darkness of a cold cold death
I will tell you why
It’s for that one kiss
The one chance
To hold love in your arms
To taste lustful youth
We are born for that
We kill for it
We die regardless of it
So let me do this one act
This one symbolic gesture
I toss to you a dozen red roses
Along with my heart
A kiss
My love was always there
All you had to do was reach out
Why oh why
Fear a fool such as I
Whom for one kiss
I would surely die

If only I could complete your heart
For a new lovers start

Premium Member Wind's Promised Grace

The wind is an easel of darkened hue
Under hanging clouds, my breath meets the sea
Where tears on night’s air linger to review
This pain once needled by love’s trickery.

Like a wing that rises on one blessed flight
Across the shores of hope trilling a dream,
Its fragrant air hums gently to rewrite
The end of sorrow wiped by a moonbeam.

And zephyr flings its stars , its promised grace
In hymnal joy for my essence, now whole;
Like a child of strength this gift I embrace
As tears become holy drops that console.

When life is pierced by rainstorms that invade
I think of wind chimes as my serenade.

Cross of Calvary

Christ is my Savior,
In Him I take my stand.
Death shall not change my behavior,
For eternal life is pierced in His Hand.

Through the valley of deadly shadows,
I shall carry His Sword in my sheath
His compassion dwells inside my window,
His Word of Truth breathes deep beneath.

In his blood lives the Spirit of Salvation,
From His Heart streams the most divine love.
I rejoice in the covenant for forgiveness above damnation,
It is the only way I could reach Heaven above.

And even though my cross makes me weep and weary,
With lashes to my heart making life heavier.
I will hold fast, for in the Cross of Calvary,
Christ became my Savior.

Life and Death

LIFE AND DEATH

===============

Every sleep is a death and

     every wakeup is a birth

     Life is in between it

as a dream of our sleep

From the opening to close of our eyes

     many struggles and desires play

They keep us as dolls to pull and push

We move in their directions with an illussions

Everything is in our hands and nothing is greater than us

Borders and territories will never come

our territory is only six or seven feet

Golden watch and fancy dress will not come

   in our journey of death

love the souls and love the world to

pave the way to the heaven of God

Premium Member The Realities of Life Are So Humanly Cold

We dance to the tune of man

See fear in the palms of our hands

Hold the candle as steady as we can

Move forward with our lives

Hear reasons, witness lies

The belly of the beast we feed

Power, wealth, tyranny and greed.

Grains of sand on a beach we are

Waves can come so near from so far

Do we see that life is not what it seems?

Our minds compensate with our dreams

Innocence dies at the foot of the stair

The climb gets harder as we bear

Crushing blows to the core of our souls

Life is seen through different eyes as we grow

The realities of life are so humanly cold

Perhaps the story of man should never have been told.
