My Age

MY AGE

My age is nothing but a number, nothing but a slumber that I can’t wake from, this is what I’ve done. I’ve looked around and found that the matter of the fact is life isn’t what it’s supposed to be for me.

The average teenager spends most of their lifetime looking at their phones and when it’s time to learn something new their minds have already grown. Absorbing every single thing that they are sold, having a twelve year old’s body and the mind of a twenty one year old.

Social media doesn’t help the situation, it only changes how the different problems are situated. It has stolen complete sentences and created abbreviations, shortcuts of a language used by my generation. You could be laughing out loud when in reality you’re crying, saying TBH to be honest when in actual fact you’re actually lying.
And to that you can’t say anything because if LIFE was abbreviated it would stand for Living In Fear of Everything.

This is what I go through, in addition the music industry has had a major breakthrough. It has managed to be more influential promoting sex, drugs and slurs that are racial. “Making money moves” is about dancing on a pole, “Smoke weed everyday” is the daily intake of dope and this is said all while mentioning the one African American slave term that we all know. My nig-...I can’t say it though. So why do you. You have no idea who that affects. Sometimes we need to learn to be more politically correct.

They say that euphoria is just around the corner, behind the school building in a midst of vape. These are the lies they create, saying everything is ok. Just inhale it once and you’ll be done. I’m sorry, you can call me a loner but don’t mistake me for a stoner. One shot, two shots, three shots, four, hard. Call me antisocial but I’ve never drank before and I’m not about to start.

Society is full of influences, temptations and choices. However people like me always end up being voiceless. They think we’re too young to have any serious issues, that’s just another excuse for not wanting to accept the truth. You choose to change the subject to something totally unrelated, “We don’t have many problems?” well isn’t that an understatement?

You say that it will change, you say it’s just a phase, you say it’s another page in my story, no, this stage, right here...

This is MY AGE!

Dialysis

Dialysis

Dialysis
What is that
Let's do some research
Get a few facts
It's a procedure to remove waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys stop working properly
They have to take your blood out
Clean it put it back in
You experience the chills
And sometimes it leaves you in shock
They need heating blankets and cozy socks
To stay warm
They experience so much with their bodies
They have to be dialysised three times a week
It's exhausting
Overbearing
It's scary
I thought this was worth sharing
Your blood pressure can be lowered
You experience muscle cramps
is physically and emotionally draining, causes complications such as nerve problems, anaemia, bone disease and infection. In addition, an arduous regime of three days a week on dialysis can lead to symptoms including nausea, vomiting, cramps and depression.
Whew Let's have a session
My mom had to go go to dialysis for 4 years
Three times a week
She went through a lot
On a machine
Trying to give it your all
Sometimes she would have to get off of it because her body would cramp
She would cry
Unless you were a dialysis patient.
You wouldn't understand why
I salute ?? each one
Each one i wish I could give a hug
You guys are tough ??
And deserve a lot of love
A chronic kidney disease
That comes with no ease
Getting stuck with needles
Getting blood drawn
In and out
Out and in
It can affect the Skin
Leaving all kinds of bruises
And dark spots
You my diaylsis friends will never be forgot
Let's put our hearts together and hold hands
Make this disease better if we can
How can you get checked
If you feel something is wrong
Do us a favor get checked on
Yes it can affect your urine
Maybe even stop you from having children.
I don't know
The more information I get for you
The more I'll let you know
Dialysis doesn't necessarily mean it's the end
Just pick up where you left off
You can still win

I wrote this tribute in honor of my mother
Who is no longer physically here
Rest in Paradise Beautifully my dear
And to all if you feel like it gets Overbearing
Let's honor dialysis and all that we have lost and those who are still fighting
In honor of my mom
Lets get
Kozy for Karen

I was reading Lakoff's story
of what he learned at Berkeley
about international relations,
when I found my RightBrain offering further nuance;
not to deny what is here,
but to add what is also here,
but not explicitly stated,
about regenerative ecopolitical health and safety.

"The 'rational' approach to foreign policy was governed by a set of conceptual metaphors,
taken as simple common sense,
as metaphors [of and for regenerative v degenerative systemic processes] often are.
As a special case of An Institution
is a[n Organic-Holistic-Interdependent] Person,
there was A Nation is a[n Organic-Multiculturing] Person."

"In addition,
a common metaphor for rationality is used,
namely,
Rationality is the Maximization of Self [as organic subsystemic part of MultiReGenerative Other]-Interest (or 'utility' [as health-wealth fertility]),
which entails that it is 'irrational' [and unhealthy] to act against one's self-[intergenerational WinWin multicultural]interest[s].
These two metaphors are then combined to yield:
A [Healthy, Happy, Secure] Nation is a Rational [Organic TransReGenerational Polypathic] Actor[ess]."

"...we get as an entailment
the central thesis of the [organic] rational [trans-regenerational evolutionary] actor model
in international [interfamilial, intertribal, interspecies] relations:
Every [healthy] nation
acts [bicameral] rationally
to maximize its [health-wealth] military [Yang] strength [prosperity],
economic[-ecological hybrid] health [and happiness, with long-term defense of safety],
and political [cooperative polypathic] influence."

"Rationality,
on this conception,
is taken as
[discontinuous, deductive-only, reified, either-or] universal
and occurring at the [technology, tool, framing, modeling] level
of the
[organic, living,
matriarch nurturing,
ego/eco-loving,
bicamerally mature-evolving] state."

I feel so eviscerated.

Get over it.
Both-and;
not either-or.
You still got all your parts,
just more integratively co-aligned.

Yes, ma'am!
Who got out of bed on the wrong side today?

Don't even try it.

I'm going back to my "Political Mind" without you.

Doubtful.
And, if possible, dangerous.

You really aren't going to let me have the last word today are you?

I thought I was your last word,
your everything.

The Askance Chapter 4 Part 5b

“Dwellers of the Ancients, is all be seeking The Fallen atop?
Well… be advised and turn back for to entertain he will not
It's been far too long since mortals have come before our sight
And above all, the coming of mortals is often the coming of blight
Yet, curious I am to see what wisdom does all sow to seek?
And mind me, is the outskirts to be still as unpromising and bleak?
Wait a leafy fall! Is that what I think the Amulet is what it is?
Is that really what I dare think to think what I really think IS?
And… The Sword of Sin, and The Bow of Azure and… and!
Oh my one and holy creator of trees and woods, the all-seer blends
I, Twit of the Sylvans have actually stumbled upon The Champions of Light
Me, the cleverest of all, the mightiest of both twilight and night!
The one who oversees and overrules the over-leaves and overall
The most knowledgeable, the most erudite and despite some say The MOST TALL…!
So, I’m Twit in my most humble nature to see to your needs
Your demands will Twit without question have them meet!
What’s it like being a Champion, The Knight of the Word?
Is the Mistress of The Word really ever once a berserker as of rumours heard?
Can the Mistress really heal with her bequeath powers? Though she
don’t look too well now!
Where is her overseer? The white owl that flies alongside around!
And The Defier, the one born just right after you died, remember?
You know, The Askance who ensave The Mistress from whence a berserker?
And of course, the Befallen Angel of Dreams who sacrifice for love
The one who now dwells in awaiting for you to return to serve?
What happened? After you died I mean... pardon Twit who say…
Where have you disappeared to all those time and to than return this day?
Its been more than a hundred years if my intelligent mind can remember precisely
And all this time to only be indulged in my duty given periods indefinitely
Pardon my nature Knight of The Word, have Twit asked much?
How would you like a Sylvan alongside to uplift as such?
Twit can serve in knowledge and in spirit despite being small
And in addition, Twit can assure all be welcomed into the Fallen’s ascendancy hall
So what do you say, Twit be one to join your quest in judiciary?
Indeed, yes?... yes it is… will you excuse me a peck and Twit be back in a jiffy”

One Night In A Haunted Manor-

Mohonk Mountain House is a rapturous place
where we love to visit and walk the long trails;
partake in its charming Victorian grace.
A mystical ambiance- there still prevails.

A manor-like hotel for overnight guests,
we managed to sleep there a Saturday night.
The hallways were long, and at once did suggest
past visions we'd seen which left us with much fright.

Contraptions, wall-mounted, held hoses wound up
with nozzles at end placed to put out a fire.
So much like a movie, we'd seen where setup
did look much the same and so dreadfully dire.

That night, we awoke with some noises we heard
that sounded as though they were right in our room.
A voice giggling loudly- now this was absurd,
as women-like shadows quick-heightened our gloom.

We managed to sleep, but woke up- from a dream?
Fire hoses were chasing us down the long hall!
The nozzles were faces with teeth...made us scream!
They smothered and bit us in that horrid brawl.

Next morning we saw, on the desk, a brochure,
a story which made our hair stand up on end,
that Stephen King frequented Mohonk- proved sure,
ghosts helped shape 'The Shining'- that horror he penned!

Note:
In addition to presidents and the like, one of the Mohonk’s claims to fame is that it has been a regular haunt of none other than famed horror novelist, Stephen King. Because of this, the Mohonk is thought to be one of the possible inspirations for King’s classic work, "The Shining", a story that just happens to be about a haunted hotel. While the haunted Stanley Hotel in Colorado is usually credited as “The Shining Hotel” — and has done everything it possibly can to capitalize on this legend — fans have conflicting opinions. And while the Stanley Hotel may or may not have been the start of the “official” story, it’s hard to imagine that so many frequent trips to the Mohonk wouldn’t have made some sort of lasting impression on King’s mind as he wrote his famous novel.

Premium Member My Life As I Feel It

ONCE IN MY LIFETIME
Everyone things I know so much but it is really just my amazingly simple mind..
Not really very much to me, just want to be person who wants to always be kind..
Most people will never know me, the person who desires to be alone with no noise in the dark…
They only know the person who says yes ma’am and no thank you sir with a smile along with the remark..
Letting out the things that swirl around in my head could get me caught in my own dread..
Of disaster and I would much rather keep up the façade instead of the alternative ahead..
I put up this front so nobody will know how much I am falling apart each day…

In addition, the loving family and husband that I have makes everyone smile and most will say..
They were always meant for each other, seem so happy, and in such bliss..
If they only know that, we have not had that connection in so long and how much I miss..
The feeling of his arms holding me tight, as we would lay together every night,,
Now I am broken in both bones and my spirit, which gave me my light..
I have been lucky enough to have a love of a lifetime as well as bunch of good..
Friends that really love me but do not realize half of my dark thoughts under my hood..
So to all of the people I see I wish a great day and life as well as trying to never offend…
Moreover, to the heavens every night I send a kiss and a prayer to help me regain my love before my end..
Because deep into my heart and soul I will love you Matthew for all of my life and even after..
You were my fairytale, my heart, and together we could even be one great disaster..
Therefore, to my darling husband who is one of the few who knows the real me, my kisses and hugs are so deep..
And my longing to feel better so I can run into his arms I fear will be only in my dreams, so I just lay here I weep..
Loving can be both wonderful and evil at both the same time and what I hate
Is the different way he looks at me now whether or not he realizes it I know that for us it is too late..
For me I will be called home soon I feel in my heart my dear..
However, you will live on and still have love to give another, which will always be my fear...

Love you always…

To You, Wherever You Are

I sit here writing this message to you,
My dilemma is choosing that somebody who,
Will cause me to soar and fly ever higher,
But this selection process has caused me to mire,
I admit the candidates are of numerous sort,
And hard to decipher from the initial escort,
Some friends say I'm picky, some say too impatient,
Some say I'll never find that perfect creation,
But, since you are out there and obviously listening,
Let me inform you on what you are missing,
To begin, I'm not going to mention my looks,
Except to say I don't hide behind books,
I relate to those who find life very humorous,
And repel against those who embody the tumorous,
If you're searching for someone that can be predicted,
You will not find my image depicted,
Not that fickle or whimsical could be a feature,
I'm just a bonafide, certified interesting creature,
My view is that life has too much offer,
In addition to ways of filling my coffer,
It's like a candy store, with shelf after shelf,
And I'm the one in the corner stuffing himself,
But, wouldn't it be great if I could just find,
Someone to share with whom I wouldn't mind,
Now what should you be like, I've pondered this thought,
Over and over, I get so distraught,
Someone who's set and ready to go,
To do whatever it takes to reach that plateau,
But, if somehow we do not achieve as expected,
We'll work as a team to get it corrected,
Someone who relishes the quietest of times,
And smiles and applauds at my silliest rhymes,
Someone who climbs mountains and even climbs trees,
See, I told you that I'm not too hard to please,
To confront my claims with a subtle refute,
And to cause my big mouth to diminish and mute,
Someone who sees things different than I,
And is willing to say so without being gunshy,
As for children, I'm not looking for three more wise men,
But, it wouldn't hurt if one could win the Heisman,
Most of all, your love must run amuck,
Because there will be those times when I'm just a schmuck,
I know that you're out there, I'm just not sure where,
But, please turn and listen as I stand and declare,
I will search through the universe until the end of my life,
Until I find you, my lover, my partner,
My wife.

Premium Member Presidential Choices

As with many dreams, I do not understand the dream I had last night. On the night of December 19, 2007, I dreamed about a candidate for President of the United States. I dreamed that he was the recipient of a strong spiritual awakening. In the dream, it was evident that it was not a political ploy, but was sincere and truly genuine.

I do have a pull toward governors because of their prior experience and administration abilities. Also, Although it matters, I am not very concerned about the candidates' religion. It also concerns me about their marital success or the lack thereof. In addition, I like candidates that are fiscal conservatives with flekibility and pragmatism with regards to social issues.

This country needs more balance with regards to military interventions. We seem to swing too far to the left/right extremes. We must defend America's way of life and our vital interests around the world. However, it is time for both parties and all Americans to reclarify and redefine what our vital interests are.

We can be proud of the fact that we have always sought to discover, invent, and innovate new ideas and new ways of doing things. I believe that we have led the way in making the world a better place in which to live. May our fathers' God show us the way out of our present wilderness.

This dream will force me to take a closer look at the candidates. We are clearly at a new crossroad in the quest for a God fearing, peaceful,, and properous America. Perhaps this dream also portrays a longing for a rebirth in the hearts of all Americans.

The high level of prosperity that we have experienced in America has not silenced the cries of the human heart. Could it be that I have seen a preveiw, not of a particular candidate, but of America's new leader, whomever he might be? Or could it be that America has come to a place in our history whereby every fiber of our being is crying out for a new awakening?

I cannot interprete the meaning of my dream or what it might signal; but I can say with certainty that it is most crucial that we be vigilant in employing our next leader. cj122007 (Edited and condensed for PS, 10012016)

Day Sounds

On one recorded morning in June of ‘08, my ears tuned in to the sound of the mild banging of a hammer from somewhere close by. I heard the leaves in the trees, as they swayed just a little from the flow of the soft and gentle wind. I knew that I was not in heaven, when I heard the sound of traffic from a major street. Moments later, there was the sound of an airplane in the distant sky.

There is a train rail line near our home, and there was a time when they would blow their horn both night and day. I do not recall that there was any particular time, but I rather think there was. What ever the time of day or night, it was never a pleasant sound. Moreover, the sound of trains blowing their horn at night was both ridiculous and disturbing. To our delight, the night blows discontinued.

After the horn blows of the day trains, we can count on the sound of automobiles racing to work. Of course these are people due at work earlier than the rest of us.

Make no mistake about it, we all have our wake up calls, whether by birds, clocks, phones, planes, or trains. Fortunately, life does bring to us an amazing sense of balance, like the beautiful and soothing sounds of singing birds. I am often entertained by a happy bird or two, whistling like they usually do. I must say, that the things they speak about, whistle about, chirp about, and sing about, are most beautiful to my ears. However, let none be misled; bird sounds are not wake up calls. At best, they could pass as snooze buttons.

Some days we are startled by flashes of lighting and rolling thunder.
Furthermore, there are wind storms; the likes of which can knock down fences and trees. Occasionally, we are blessed to be rained upon,
sometimes in the form of a drenching shower, and other times, a pleasing melodious slow and intermittent rain. Either way, the sound is a thing of beauty and peace. In addition, there are those inviting whispering winds that join the chimes and orchestrate music of their own.
