“Haskell is moving, are you pushing?

The railroad depot stands no more
In the spot it occupied for so long.
Instead in it’s space, a Homeland store,
But in my memory it...

A Blue Jay flew squawking into a crown
alerting all the other birds around
News of coming danger ran through the stand
down to the floor and across all the land
The Mother Tree signaled through the air,
it's time...

Zenith University
Zenith University

I am a proud graduate
of Zenith University,
where the quality stays on
until the little dot
shrinks and goes away.

I attended that fine institution
with Tom and Jerry,
Heckl, Jeckl, Mickey, Minnie,
Da?y, Donald, Daisy,
Huey, Dewey, Louie,

Favorite Martian--Flying Nun,
James Arness--smoking gun,
Spanky and Alfalfa,
Larry, Moe, and Curly.

Tests consisted
of posted patterns.
To see those,
you had to get up early
like Jack LaLanne and Buns of Steel,
Captain Kangaroo.

Mid-morning classes included
Monte Hall (quite a deal),
Bob the Barker (not the builder).

Allen Ludden passed the words, ...

"Dearly beloved, "We are gathered here today to witness,
The wickedness of these times."
"Blessed", fortunately, its ending soon."
To radio stations phone-it.

"Perhaps we should postpone it."
"Reminds me, of an ole story.

I never cared for your fake
Eddie Haskell face at all
Your tart tongue cut my birthday cake ...
seedy, greedy hands took a slice not small
This here Beav...

Searching for the Good

Alas, the search continues
peering eyes in all the venues
as the pure and holy seek
all the virtues of the meek
their old and brittle bones
re-sounding creaky church pew tones.

Cold blinders to their views
force the...

My spring of life contained pregnant clouds,
Almost as if suspended by parachute shrouds;
Now, winter has painted it with shades of grey,
But then, eighty years, has been a lengthy stay.
Now,...

Beaverish, feverish
hot Mrs. Cleaver wished
that her affair had not
given her clap.

Fast Eddie Haskell, her
boy-toy, that rascal, his
transmissibility
claims were all crap.

“Tickle me, pickle me,
say it’s not true, for if
you have the clap then I
must...

I Am A Planter
By: Tom Wright
6/20/99

I'm just a simple planter
from a Cedar tree I'm made.
Young birds have spent time in my boughs
while beneath, perhaps, young children played.

I pray that with me you won't find fault
