PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO SAYS THAT HE IS ALMIGHTY

Praise be to God for telling us that He is God Almighty Who:
Constantly pours good limitless blessings
Consistently provides gracious learning benefits
Continuously performs great love-bestowment best
Ceaselessly practices grand life-building business

Genesis 36:31 Praise be to the Lord for being our reigning King of:
Sovereign dominion
Steady direction
Sure discretion
Sturdy decision

Genesis 37:22 Praise be to the Almighty for delivering us from:
Pit of sinful destruction
Peril of satanic deception
Profit of selfish defense
Perversion of seductive doctrine

Genesis 37:35 Praise be to the Saviour for comforting us with His Words so:
True we can always trust
Timely we can cling to while in trials
Thoughtful we can tell in our testimony
Triumphant we can share with others who are being tested. Amen!

Living In Hope

Desperation creeps stealthily, into a disillusioned mind
Unanswered questions paralyzes, leaving one frozen in time
Tsunami waves of grief pound away, at the sad and troubled heart
Sorrow uniting with pain wrestling, pinning down hope from the start.
But,
A glimmer of hope shines bright, conquering sorrow and grief
Like a lighthouse, a beacon in the dark, to distant sailors relief
A faint response to a distressing SOS, in a time of stormy seas
God answers our great questions, responding to fervent pleas

Truth dissipates the haze of lies, that leave one dazed and confused
Shining through the fog of deception, we see hope, if we so choose
Drawing closer to the light of God's love, that we see in the distance
Hope rises anew, conquers doubt, sorrow then relinquishes resistance.

When we perceive of God's great love, it gives us hope and direction
Living with hope is an anchor sure, to our mental faculties, a protection
Hope now renewed, leads to faith, finally joy can appear on your face
The countenance shines, living in hope, grief now having been replaced.

Premium Member An Empty Street

One Texan day, a man close to his prime,
sat down on a curb beside a tree.
It was an empty street; there was no crime
nor danger anywhere that he could see.
But suddenly, the world he knew would cease to be.

He’d lived a goodly life and sacrificed
to leave his home and get a law degree.
If there were a man I knew with attributes of Christ,
he would be that man, for the epitome
of someone with great love and compassion was he.

I know this because he was my brother,
and within our somewhat crazy, blended family,
I would have to say there was no other
among us all who worked so tirelessly
to be a friend to all while meeting all his goals. Ah, life’s finality!

He was on the threshold of his dream to practice law.
Then out of nowhere, as he sat there on that empty street,
the headlights of a drunk kid’s car he saw
barreling down on him. My brother Dale, so sweet,
was – in an instant- gone, for life sometimes can so unfairly fleet.

Premium Member Mike and Stephanie's Wedding Collaboration With Leokadia Durmaj

It is a beautifully warm and sunny day.
Here in the pleasant spring month of May.
It is the month's very first Saturday.
It is here in this place, I am to marry Elaine's daughter.
The church is full of flowers in each corridor.
The organ plays the melody of Richard Wagner.

What I see next is such a lovely sight.
My Stephanie draped in her gown of white.
She appears as a lovely delight!
Standing alongside of me,
she appears a bit misty,
as the priest begins the ceremony:

Dear family and friends of Michael and Stephanie,
we've gathered to witness these two in matrimony.

Michael, will you take this woman Stephanie to be your wife?

It was quite a long time for me to wait for this day.
However, it has arrived, and here is what I say:
You now stand before me. In your sapphire eyes I see,
a sparkling of unending love between you and me.
The joining of our hands exemplifies unity.
Symbolizing relationship in complacency.
Our universe continues to unfold endlessly.
Each star’s light shines upon us until eternity.
As we both live, they shall guide us on our life’s journey.
May we both come to share in a plentiful harvest.
As He looks down on us, and makes us forever blessed,
May we come to share happiness, until final rest.
Now mutuality is considered coalesced.

Stephanie, will you take this man Michael to be your husband?

I love you because you are special to me
In everything you do
You make me laugh
And touch my heart with your kindness
Your words expressed so lovingly
All I want to do is be near you
I want to feel your arms around me
Holding me close to your heart
Now take me on this journey
As we unite as one
For the rest of our life

To be with you
Is like music
That enters my heart
Soft and gentle in you’re loving ways
You came to me from afar
Showed me how to give love never ending
And receive it back
Completely surrendering

Tonight a thousand stars will look down on us
And Angel’s sing
Of our great love
A kiss from heaven is sent
It enters our hearts
Our souls have touched
Never to part
My love I give to you
As pure as the snow
Take it my love
It’s a gift from the heart
To remember this day
Until death do us part

By the power invested in me
by the Diocese and State's authority,
I proclaim Michael and Stephanie
in the bond of Holy Matrimony.
May you live and grow happily!

Premium Member The curve of your eyes envelops me like a dream

The curve of your eyes envelops me like a dream,
A tender dance, sweet as honey,
In the halo of time, a basin of peace in the night,
Yet within me remains a memory that never ends.
I look back and it seems I can hardly remember
All the moments lived, the dreams touched,
For your eyes have not always been mine,
But now I find my entire story within them.
The leaves of the day turn into the scent of dew,
Reeds sway in the gentle breeze,
Your fragrant smiles soothe my soul,
Invisible wings carry us along the paths of light.
In imaginary boats, we venture on sky and sea,
Sound hunters in a world full of color,
Springs of dreams nourish us with happiness,
In the tenderness of our gazes hides our great love.
The fragrance of our golden moment is sealed in sunrises,
Resting eternally on the straw of shining stars,
As if the day depended on the innocence of night,
So the entire universe depends on your pure and luminous eyes.
And in my depths, all my blood flows under your gaze,
Like an endless river of love and melancholy,
In every moment spent together, in every tender touch,
We are parts of a story, of a love that lasts forever in our hearts.

Premium Member Utterly

"The best thing I can say about me is that I am utterly what you see." by author of this poem

Utterly in love with writing I have been
since my muse first visited and I picked up her pen.

Utterly adoring of family and friends I am.
Though far from most of them, I call to chat as often as I can.

Utterly content am I to also be alone.
I have a lot of interests I engage in on my own.

I’m utterly in awe of books, for like a favorite friend,
a good book I will stay with until the very end.

I’m utterly delighted by small pleasures such as food.
Popcorn and movies put me in a happy mood.

I’m utterly nostalgic when I’m thinking of
my kin and friends deceased for whom I have great love.

I’m utterly impressed by those who have great wit
but not so pleased, when given not a thing to do, I am forced to sit.

I’m utterly annoyed too by people who are mean
and small-minded people who with jealousy are green.

Most utterly I’m sickened by horrific crimes.
Murder, rape, domestic violence: the number of them climbs.

Utterly overwhelmed by woe I sometimes feel.
For things once on my bucket list I no more have great zeal.

However, I stay utterly thankful to the Lord
knowing when I die, my health will be restored.

I utterly admire folks who show a happy face
like those with burdens helping others, living life with grace.

Utterly with hope I live. I need not dwell on strife
with all the wondrous things that I was blessed with in my life

That day that way we met
the nightingale sang while
whooping cranes bowed
their heads the sun danced
between the blue skies as
the clouds rushed by I
remember that day that
way you walked the way
you smiled that funny
way you dazzled me with
your cunning charm like
no other man ever had the
pink flamingos were wearing
my dress while gone fishing
signs hung about the broken
drift wood store fronts hot
sand caressed my skin the
turquoise waters released
a soft salty mist that day
that way the kiss was met
I awaited your arrival in the
midst of it all we knew full
well death would follow the
sullen hints betrothed frightening
were we wrong to fall so deep
in love destroying a brilliant
friendship by falling in love
a connection so valid why
were we wrong to hide such
a great love to covenant a love
that would someday blast off
shattering the moon sending
pieces of our love into the
universe racing sparks ignited
the stars that twinkled back
down to the earth that day
that fabulous way we met
painting a beautiful canvas
of cards hand written letters
photographs proses poetry
collection of memories that we
were forbidden to express love
hidden deeply breaking our spirits
envious minds colliding before us
an yet within warm tears flowing
shown only when a quiet storm
gathers I watch and wait
for raindrops to cover my face
this is our song for this is our time
to weep for broken hearts beckoning
thought desired to feel to touch
to only remember desperately
trying to hold on to what's left
what is really left the pain still
lingers it's truly apart of who
we are now nothing could pry
it from my aching bosom it
remains connected to my soul
like a permanent umbilical cord
that day that way our souls met
way before our hearts finally
introducing our bodies to fulfill
this sheer connection that lit
up the sky by and by my smile
and the wink of your eye why
we are but lovers clinging vessels
in time we now remain cherubs
cherbium and seraphim beauty
kelp our love an artform on display
unmoved untouchable burning flame

Premium Member Early Morning

Early morning coffee,
Sunrise on shores of a sea.
Shades of green and blue,
Crabs playing a game of peek-a -boo.
Deep breaths of relaxation,
A sense of awe for all God’s creation.
His voice I do hear,
His presence is so very near.
As I sit with my eyes looking at the steam,
I hear Him say, “My children, I am coming to redeem”.
He has a great love for even the least,
So much so, He has called us to a great feast.
My heart screams out, “prepare, prepare”,
Please don’t be like those left in despair.
Early morning coffee,
Sunrise on shores of a sea.

Shades of Blue -- Free Verse

Aquamarine pools lie in light
searing surges of periwinkle
How does one describe the depths
of the soul piercing me
and sending me to tears
gazing at the azure i am lost
in the fury and serenity
love entraps entangles
consumes me.

No more will i wander
with visions of periwinkle
haunting me for i know the
source of this mystery …
it is you Athena it is
Cerulean unleashed it
is destiny to pursue my
odyssey my legacy
to be engulfed in the serenity

As i flounder through life
lost and despicable knowing
No love i was trapped drawn entangled
by ultramarine by sapphire not escaping yet
Embracing the pain and pleasure of great love
Arria and Paetus willingly moving to depths
of cobalt absurdity to prove love has no bounds
be mine oh midnight oh royal oh Persian
until my last breath exhaled is midnight …

Premium Member 27 - Its My Favourite

This is undoubtedly my favourite one
the number of all numbers twenty-seven
so often it's meant so very much to me
a blessed number sent down from heaven

Firstly I was born upon that date
on the twenty-seventh December 1953
the day God brought me into the world
this day never be forgotten in my history

In my great love for God's holy scriptures,
my favourite Psalm is 27 without a doubt
telling of the fact that God is my salvation
believing on Jesus and His gospel I shout

Daniel is no 27 in the Bible's list of books
my fav story is Daniels escape in lion's den
for God rescued him for Daniel had real trust
knowing his saviour would be his true friend

Now been married for nearly 30 years
wed on 27th April 1990 to lovely Christine
another date etched in the memory of time
a very special day my mind upon to lean

So the number 27 to me is special
very often being providential in my days
makes one very thankful on its effect
to my God who faithfully with me stays
