Garden of Eden ( Part Two )

One normal winter afternoon, Yehoshua went with the other kids to play,
They played in the garden's playground like they do everyday,
Nothing odd seemed to get in their way,
Until they heard a deafening shriek of dismay,

The shriek was coming from a house buried under tall beautiful trees,
Yehoshua and his friends ran to the house swiftly and with ease,
When they got there they looked through the window and got on their knees,
To be able to watch without getting caught and for as long as they please,

Behind the glass was a dead man placed on a table of wood,
That scene frightened Yehoshua, he couldn't believe what he was starting to see,
Yehoshua got life's cycle all misunderstood,
He decided to never grow up, he wanted to be a child eternally,

So he pushed his friends away, with his eyes full of tears,
And ran back to the playground while his heart was pounding with fear,
Life to him was too dear,
Than to end after a few years,

He ran and played everywhere,
And moved the swings so fast and without a care,
He even scraped his knee and was unaware,
He picked the pieces of his shattered childhood that were spread here and there,

Years later Yehoshua became a man,
With a lot of work and responsibilities in his hands,
And everyday he promised himself that he'd go back to see,
His garden of Eden, where he was once happy,
But poor Yehoshua never seemed to be,
Able to get to his serenity,

And when he retired he finally got the chance,
To give his garden of Eden one last glance,
And as he slowly moved the swings,
He enjoyed life, and its simplest things,

Moments felt like hours while he played alone,
Until Yehoshua heard that same shriek that has once blown,
At him pain so deep it cut him to the bone,
He didn't know what to do, for his spirit was so forlorn,

Suddenly came a chilly breeze,
That quaked the ground, demolished the trees,
And roared the tides of all the 7 seas,
Yehoshua cried and begged on his knees,
In a second, Yehoshua found himself placed on table of wood made of fine trees,
He could feel and he could see, yet every time he tried, he failed to speak,
And as he looked to his right he could see,
Little kids that started to squeeze,
Their shocked faces to the glass, for they found that childhood isn't until eternity,
And that Yehoshua was dead, and dead was he…

In the pantomime of pretend prose,
the moon dances on lonely nights.
Before the lights go out at twilight,
unforgiven ice cold hearts,
remain abandoned, hoping this is the end.

Her eyes like Eve were deceived,
by manipulative sea green serpents.
Stranded on shores where time has no name,
the artistry of dread, breathed in poetic chills,
inhaling life, exhaling pain like dolent daisies.

Concealing metaphors of dying embers,
behind an avalanche of emotions,
she anticipated the rebirth of an artist,
by an art nearing the opposite side of yearnings,
because in the deepest chasm of poetic love,
an alliteration of antithesis attracts affection.

I was not as naive as Adam,
searching for heartbeats from heaven,
knowing that is how you ruin a poet.
An empathic spirit ignites pens full of fire,
burning the strings of poetic puppets -
the greatest gift of entrancement.

Rumi taught me the universe is infinite,
and so am I, so I knew I would meet my muse,
like stars greet the moon in a meadow of miracles.

As roaming romance conjured my dream's horizon.
Her name always echoed in the silence of quiet nights.
An empress without an emperor in a crumbling palace,
yearning to blossom in an epodic flower field.

Her seldom smile was as radiant as the golden orb.
Despite ghosts hiding in the shadow of sunlight,
mystical silver spirits were summoning me to her abode.
Her misspelt phrases accidentally fell on my page.
I found her burying her frozen quill under six feet of snow,
with a withered heart reliving a winter wonder nightmare,
constantly bleeding pearls in a silage of tears,
cursing her tormented tongue.

Her winter kisses were as tender as butterfly snowflakes,
but at first, her rage slashed at my wrists,
drowning me in her obsidian grieving seas,
but my soul is like a seasoned samurai full of scars.
I always believed small steps lead to great places,
and I would kiss her sorrows goodbye.

Upon realisation there's no blood in my veins, only poetry,
together we portrayed pastel coloured sunsets,
illuminating a celestial canopy of light,
sowing trees of forgiveness,
surrounded by colourful petals,
leaving behind the dark long road home.

In our internal garden of Eden,
there is no darkness,
there is no forbidden fruit nor sinning,
only an aura of love personified.

1947-The Peeing of the Peaked Peasantry - a Mocktail

Monah Kaur and Robert Kumar fled from London, came to ‘Hindustan’; tied the knot
The 'Singhs' stopped their songs and 'Kumars at no. 42' burnt their studio; this rebellion; they will forget not
A petite piece of land was gifted by Uncle Prem to mark their freedom
With much thought the newly wed called it Garden of Eden
They cleared the plot from crawling matters and built a woody farm house
Within a year, Monah gave birth to twins; Lisa died; Minnie who survived became quiet as a mouse
The air around still polluted in invasion and many cuffed in iron
The sun and moon fairer than in London but nothing seemed fine
The couple laboured and fostered peaches for Mr. Big Ben; returned home clad in blisters
Minnie cried; and cried; her parents had no time and she desired a couple of sisters
In financial distress the duo approached the heroic Farmer Bachan to assist his flock
Pleased with their dedication he gifted them a Peacock.
Minnie cried louder now, seeing this English present; she wasn’t a fan
Bachan who was fond of the child, sent her way, a young Indian Peahen
Minnie’s tears lost its way in the Ganges as the new birds found their click
Around Christmas added to the family was a cute hybrid Pea-chick
What adorable ‘chana’ like eyes had she!
Without delay, Minnie named her Chick pea
Eden now a 'Rangoli'; 'Ranisas' and 'Nawabs' soothed in ‘Masala’ tea
All engrossed in the lights and sweetness of Diwali; no attention paid to the growth of The Serpent on that Apple tree.
Those daffodils patented to Wordsworth, danced in the air
In its abode, the serpent watched Eden, what a scare!
One morning, Minnie fetched a Brown ladder to reach the tree which dazzled with rounds of juicy red
The ladder attacked and killed; the child returned home badly bitten, almost to eternal slumber she bled
Bachan’s sheep strayed to the road that was not to be taken, decreased from many to few
Eden cried for The Good Shepard; The Foreign Raj ruthlessly bottled native stew
Prayers were answered and on a Tiger came a Flying sheriff called ‘Shroff’
Bedecked in turfy ‘ceps’ and ‘pecs’; this essence fought in ‘huff & puoff’
Over time; in years almost equal to Tendulkar's century; the Serpent grew wicked miles
The gladiator fought till his last breath, excreting the treacherous reptile back to the British Isles

There were no monsters nor creatures of doom, nor were there fellow humans torturing me in a combat zone. There was just me, entangled by battles of my body, soul, and spirit. Just me, engaged in warfare that only God can win. It reminded me of the GARDEN of Eden spoken of in the bible, such a beautiful place so well designed and made special for the object of one's love.

Like Adam and Eve, I never imagined anything that started so right and righteous could go so wrong and wicked. How could a place, an atmosphere, a paradise so innocent, would in an instance, lead me down PATHS of pain and disaster? But it happened, and fortunately, I have lived to tell the story of God's love and grace, and how He found and rescued me from the mouth of the MAZE.

This entire experience had the feel and presence of the serpent in Eden who presented Eve a whole new outlook on life and changed her perception of the God who loved her and would never lead her astray. After a while, everything within me that was once clear and pure became fogged with mud-filled SINUOUS trails, not one of which led me back to where I started.

So much bigger than anything I'd ever faced, this was a PUZZLE that challenged every cell in my brain, rendering me incapable of ascending from this elaborate and cleverly created twilight zone that I could not figure out. Like a never-ending, ever descending, and unimaginable TWISTING road that led to nowhere, I was compelled by an unseen force that kept me TURNING in every direction. I would later learn that the 'battle royal' was not an external force but was being waged from within me.

After resisting the reality of my predicament for hours that felt like 'forever', I finally accepted the fact that I was LOST and without outside assistance, I would die afraid and alone. Having been stopped by an impenetrable WALL, I was TRAPPED with no idea how I would exit this hell-hold and find my way home.

Then, I began to pray as I had never prayed before, but God seemed as if nowhere to be found. After much sweat and tears, I began to feel like Daniel must have felt in the lion's den when God showed up.

A New Age

Step right up it's all the rage,
it's the dawning of a brand new age.
The wonderful world of Iron and Clay,
finally our time to shine, let's not delay.

Come get in line and get your chip,
you'll have the world at your fingertips.
Head or hand it's all up to you,
you'll be a brand new man, when we're through.

No more need for cards or cash to buy or sell,
just scan your head or hand, it will never fail.
With this tiny implant things will change,
 the possibilities are just insane.

The whole world now we'll be able to track,
no lost children and that's a good fact.
Crime will plummet under this global plan,
it's hard to break the law without head or hand.

The medical wonders, too many to count,
with these devices your health is paramount.
We will be able to fix failing organs and missing limbs,
 with electronic replacements built within.

All these things will extend your life,
a fountain of youth and no more strife.
All of your hand held devices at your command,
it's all in one, right in your head or hand.

Now this new age comes with faith as well,
no more talk about heaven or hell.
We will have heaven on earth it's true,
a regular garden of eden for me and you.

All religions and denominations will be as one,
a universal faith and a God that's fun.
Fire and brimstone will be no more,
come to our temple through the ecumenical door.

Your sins will be forgiven before they are committed,
the things in the Bible you don't like, just omit it.
We want the church to finally conform,
to this wonderful world and all its norms.

Our worship will be without constraints,
do what feels good, we are all saints.
No dress code needed in this place,
in fact nude is considered in good taste.

Political correction will be our doctrine,
no more punishment for those who sin.
We will not worship things unseen,
but an idol once thought to be obscene.

Now I think we've sold you on our vision,
to come together as one, without derision.
Man has finally reached the summit
and become a god, that even God could covet.

Premium Member Looking For Elvis

While looking for Elvis
Met Nessie in Loch Ness
Hoarding a leprechauns pot of gold

While getting ready to depart
I tripped over the Lost Ark
In the baggage of a hitchhiking Pharaoh

Thought I had got lost in flight
Stumble into Camelot at night
King Arthur shooting Robin Hood's arrows

Little green men from Mars
Battling a dragon with bumper cars
Jumping on my unicorn I rode

Diving into the Ocean
The mermaids gave me notions
My search for Elvis was getting cold

Swam down to Atlantis in the Atlantic
Dine at Poseidon's banquet
He had a big Roman nose

Cruising the Devil's Triangle
Being careful for any angle
I try to assassinate Castro

No money for the Florida toll booth
I wander into the Flountain of Youth
I look much younger so I'm told

On my way to Colorado
I kiss the Indian Princess of El Dorado
They can keep their entire treasure load

I saw Jimmy Hoffa eating a hot dog
While sitting with Big Foot on a redwood log
They were both getting pretty old

Went over to Memphis
Back through Las Vegas
My search for Elvis was about to fold

Than an angel named Gabriel
Told me about the new guy down at the stable
So I flew off to Shangri-la with pilot Joe

Our wings iced without warning
Damn this damn Global warming
Flying over Santa and a Chinese Viking Eskimo

We crashed landed in Xanadu
Met a few people we both knew
But Elvis left so I was told

With my new friend Yeti
We shared a big bowl of spaghetti
Amelia Earhart cooked and sold

Round the Garden of Eden
I traded an apple for freedom
From the lost tribes of Isreal though

On Mount Olympus I heard singing
The voice of Elvis reigning
I found the King of Rock and Roll

We ate a fried banana peanut butter sandwich
Elvis offer me the last bite of his sandwich
I politely refused I couldn't be so bold

Before I could ask Elvis as such
He rose and said "Thank you very much"
The answers I needed were put on hold

"Beam me up Scottie" he quipped
Than in a flash he was on the Mother Ship
And I turn and saw my friend little Moe

Area 51 is where that saucer came from
In Noah's Ark we drank wine and hard rum
Finding Elvis I am no hero

Looking for Elvis is half the fun
Its the trip that ends where it begun
Down in Dallas on a grassy knoll

Apple Tree

I do not know why, but for the longest time, it has been assumed that I was in the Garden of Eden. I’ve been seen in gardens, orchards, and the yards of many people, but there is no proof that I was ever in Eden. But let’s just assume that I was indeed the tree realistically known as the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

For heaven’s sake, let’s just assume that I was an innocent bystander, absorbing nutrients from the garden and producing juicy apples. Yes, I was climbed upon by the devil, picked from by the woman, and eaten from by both Adam and Eve. And can anyone imagine how disrespected I felt and taken for granted? Remember, neither the devil nor Eve consulted me about apples from me.
I grew and produced the apple that caused God to be displeased, and forced him to drive them from the garden. Moreover, at least two bites of an apple from my limbs changed the course of history for both nature and all of mankind. I must say that I am not proud of any of this. But you must remember, there was plenty of blame to go around, but when the punishment was handed down, I was not included.

And remember, I have the knowledge and remember very well, because I was there and witnessed literally everything. I even heard the devil lying to Eve, and if I could talk, I would have rebuked the devil, and advised Eve to slowly walk away. I didn’t know where Adam was, but the least I could have done was to call out to him saying, “Beware the devil on my limb!”.

I tell you, I was so sad when I heard God’s voice telling Adam and Eve about their future lives, their limitations and restrictions. Adam was to work hard enough to sweat; and Eve would always have pain when she would give birth to their children.

It was painful for me to listen to, and enough to make even a tough apple tree like myself break down and weep. But the best part was when I heard God tell the devil about his punishment. That’s when I began to rejoice. Wow! I could not shake a leg, but I shook every limb and all the bark on my body.

Brothers and Sisters Too

The world today is changing for the worst
Right before our very eyes
With crimes, war, and destruction
every day so many people die

we look on tv
and we shake our heads
 in this modern society
children are still going to bed unfed

it hurts me to see this
but there is nothing that I can do
because they make our daily lives so hard
sometimes we go to bed hungry too

some people are just lucky
and some people are gifted
and some people's lives are like spoiled flour
the sourness could never be sifted

life likes to kick a few
and we all that this is true
trust me when I say
one day the boot will kick us too

but all we can do is try
and try and try again
and build our roof over our heads
to shelter from the rain

they say from Adam and eve
the world brings forth creation
it all started in a garden
the garden of Eden

so, tell me
if this is true
why do we hate each other
are we not brothers and sisters too?

we look at what is happening today
the human suffering caused by war
people's lives are disrupted
when bombs come knowing on their door

wars are fought for land
wars are fought for supremacy
wars are fought for oil and wealth
but all wars are fought against humanity

why do humans kill each other
why kill someone you never knew
why do we hate each other
are we not all brothers and sisters too?

where is the empathy in their hearts?
How does a baby grow up to hate?
Didn’t the parents make them say a prayer
sitting at the table with dinner on their plate

your children are what you teach them
isn’t that the truth
I mean that is the simple logic
The blame starts at the roots

how many gods are there?
The answer is one
every religion claims to be doing god’s work
so, what the hell is going on

why the wars
why the murders
why the hate
where is the love for another?

the holy books said that God
made us all in his image
I think he wanted us to love one another
and make life a holy pilgrimage

and when we look around us
that is the furthest from the truth
bad apples will be in the batch
if it grown from bitter roots

but not all is lost
this much we know is true
and if we all came from Adam and Eve
then are we, not brothers and sisters too,

Making a Wrong Turn

What can a bewildered brotha’ say,
it happens every unnatural day
Sunshine is labeled as shade,
crystal clear is called opaque fade

Did I make a left turn
into the wrong dimension?
Now I’m seeing curvaceous things
that Nana never mentioned
Me rearview mirror eyes are
side-swipe swivel swerve widening

Was there a hot-iron cool downgrade,
firebrand placed
on my Ocho Rios dreadlock upbraids?

Puff kings are turning into drag queens ...
strange flesh doings,
I-and-I now be-be first-hand witnessing

Boys are turning into girls,
and those goatee girlz are turning into scrotum women

Lord knows,
I feel like I’m living in
Sodom and Gomorrah again

Girls are turning into boys,
and those bosom boyz are turning into vulva men

Now, I’m not for sight sure,
just what glassy gaze starry eyes blurry,
rest beyond the dress curtain
Surprises a-plenty are in store,
when it’s uncertain
what’s behind the gender door

Don’t wanna make the wrong turn,
and roll into the surreal fifth dimension
Twilight Zone neon strip is on burn,
whatcha’ see
might require psychiatric intervention

Girls are turning into boys,
and those boyz are turning into Venus men

Lord knows,
I feel like I’m Sin City living in
ancient Egypt Greece again

Boys are turning into girls,
and those girlz are turning into Mars women

Puff kings are turning into drag queens ...
strange flesh doings
It’s an open-closet psychotropic skin scene

Another brother daisy duke
exhale exigent cross-dress pollination
Pubic bramble bush adolescent tumble,
take a different genitalia turn from
a same sister butch duchess

Boys are turning into girls,
and those girlz
are turning into testosterone women

Lord knows,
I feel like I’m Zion living in
Babylon Rome again

Girls are turning into boys,
and those boyz
are turning into estrogen ova men

Momma drag queens
are the former Daddy puff kings
Nothing on the surface is
quite biological what it seems

Id feelings of a sorrowful kind,
have me heart sprout creeping ivy
      of eunuch tear yearning
for a Garden of Eden spiritual awakening
And impotent thoughts of mine
are starting to grow
down below, in-between

Garden of Eden

I remember when you cried
I remember when I tried
To hold you close oh so tight
Might as well be left in the cold
Let unfold your wings to flight
Time will tell when you'll grow bold

Hold on, baby, and you'll be free
The sun will shine for you gleefully

You're gracious as a rose in the field of reverie
You're precious as positive prose and poetry
The moon will be here
To glimmer for you soon…maybe in the afternoon
So, have no fear, my dear
Your melody will embrace my tranquilizing tune
You're gracious like a fiery rose
You're precious like poetry and prose
In the garden of Eden
In the garden of Eden
I remember when you embraced me again

I remember when I was fairly young
I remember we shared love for so long
To belong in fervent arms of angels that sing along
Might as well fantasize about making this new song
Let me go, so you can fly away along the way of liberty
Time will tell when you and I will be together happily

Hold on, baby, and you'll be free
The sun will shine for you gleefully

You're gracious as a rose in the field of reverie
You're precious as positive prose and poetry
The moon will be here
To glimmer for you soon…maybe in the afternoon
So, have no fear, my dear
Your melody will embrace my tranquilizing tune
You're gracious like a fiery rose
You're precious like poetry and prose
In the garden of Eden
In the garden of Eden
I remember when you embraced me again

Your melody will be mesmerizing in unity with my lovely tune
I recall the wondrous times we squandered time and time again
You're gracious as the glimmering moon a day too soon
I fall in love with the echoes of your heart in the garden of Eden

Hold on, baby, and you'll be free
The sun will shine for you gleefully

You're gracious as a rose in the field of reverie
You're precious as positive prose and poetry
The moon will be here
To glimmer for you soon…maybe in the afternoon
So, have no fear, my dear
Your melody will embrace my tranquilizing tune
You're gracious like a fiery rose
You're precious like poetry and prose
In the garden of Eden
In the garden of Eden
I remember when you embraced me again
In the garden of Eden
In the garden of Eden
Now, I wonder where you have been...
