He has announced his arrival. She waits,
Listening to the thunder cracking through
the layers of air. Looking at the lightning,
brightening and frightening the darkness away,
Lapping up the sweet petrichor that comes her way.
He gushes and rushes down to meet her.
In warm welcome, she opens up
to quench her unsatisfied thirst.
The twain meet and a silence follows,
As thick as the mist that envelops this inexplicable gloom.
Emotions flood the watery lane...
His constant showers drench her very soul...
New life awakens as old lives are cleansed, refreshed.
The earth has had her fill...
For now...
Drip...
drip...
drip...
Slowly the gentleman rain recedes...
He will come...
yet again...
to meet her...
With this rainbow promise, they part...

Ah, winter.
The snowy fields;
The slippery streets;
The frosty coldness
On ones feet.
The icy feel
That gives you chills
While walking up those
Winter hills.
The Christmas lights
That shines so bright;
To children having
Snowball fights.
From a fireplace enjoying wine;
To a family dinner at Christmas time.
And while you had your joyful fill;
You just received the electric bill.
From mortgage payments and all that stuff;
Income tax, you had enough.
While children dream of Santa Clause;
You dream of money you had lost.
For all those seasons of wine and dine;
Welcome to winter time.

Fills me, He fills me with your love ah ahh
Fill me with your spirit;
Rain reigns from above;
Replenish, renew it;
the righteousness of you within me (love);
CHORUS: You fill me up, up, up, up, up, up;
I’m your story, in your glory;
And I my soul and I;
Cry, cries Holy GLORY;
Hey, hey, Hallelujah, cover me, glory, ha!
Cover me, covers me with your vision;
In you God there is no division;
Elohim creator of all things;
Yahshua, you’re mine everything;
My King, My BEGINNING and END
CHORUS: You fill me up, up, up, up, up, up;
I’m your story, in your glory;
And I my soul and I;
Cry, cries Holy GLORY;
Hey, hey, Hallelujah, cover me, glory ha!
You fill me up, up, up, up, up, up
I'm your story, in your glory and I my soul and I
Cry, cries Holy-Glory HALLELUJAH

The glass she placed down on the table
She would have another now, if she were able
The pain melted for just a little while
This amber liquid could make her smile
Her life was spiraling down and down like the drink
Round and down, but she thought she would not sink.
Inner strength she knew that she possessed
Would it save her when she was put to the test?
The pains the problems would all dissipate
She would show them all, if it wasn’t to late.
This amber nectar she knew was just a crutch
As the last straw, the drowning man will clutch.
The dregs in the glass, they are smiling now
Tempting her-fill me once more, you know how.
“I make you feel better, most of the time
Go on take another sip, it isn’t a crime.”
The man at her side put his hot hand on her knee
Squeezing it, “I’ll get another in and then we will see.”
You get on outside the customers are waiting
Get out and work now, there’s no more debating.
You will earn what you drink, that’s what you desire
This amber nectar is now all you require.
You know nothing in this life ever comes free
Now get on out there and earn money for me.
And with a last sip this saddened lass
Drained the now painfully empty beer glass…

When life leaves me feeling all alone
and abandoned to my thoughts;
I listen to the leaves rustling in the trees
chatting with each passing breeze,
discussing what's written on the wind.
Inscribed with invisible inks,
hopes, dreams, loves won, loves lost,
and all of life's secrets and frustrations are aired.
Subliminal notes remind my heart and soul
that I'm alive: and conscious of my surroundings;
the author of my destiny.
In reality, nothing is preordained,
Life's a blank page in an empty book
awaiting free will to fill in the lines
that time drafted from a plethora of notes;
found pinned to the wind.
My silent screams, and my screams of joy
are temporarily written on the wind.
And when my life ends:
Death will erase all, but the wind.
Mightier than the sword they say
This weapon of mass description.
Little changed for centuries
Through dip, fill, refill, magic.
Trailing on paper
A story of where once was,
Telling a story of where we are going.
Power of words, ink, paper, language.
That power to love, embrace, impart and despise.
Sticks and stones will break my bones,
Words can leave a deeper scar.
Todays news no longer becomes
the chip paper of tomorrow.
The cliches written out time and time again
Down through centuries of type and form.
The pen relays, portrait thoughts
Feelings, images and words.
Still through the myriad words,
Syntax and punctuation, still one dimensional.
Nothing can replace
The spoke word, the face to face.
Human interaction of minds met.
Speech and hearing, communication.
The beauty and simplicity,
Of the human conversation.
Shoot To Kill
Life is something
You do not revere
In an instant
The words come clear
Shoot to kill
Of notoriety
You haven't gotten
Quite your fill
The gun in your hands
Gives you an unholy thrill
The pain in your brain
Goes away once you take aim
On your unsuspecting targets
You think of the fame
The glory of your name
If you make this shot
A hardened criminal
You are not
Until you shoot to kill
You aim and squeeze
They don't even have time
To beg or scream please
Your head says engage
In this passionate rage
All remnants of humanity disengage
You think you are just acting
The whole world is your stage
You will be on the news
Make the front page
Your victims had a life
One a young child
Another a new father
The last one a housewife
You don't care
Bullets fly through the air
You feel disconnected
You feel no despair
It won't stop
Until you've had
Your unfortunate share
You don't have to play fair
No rules are there
When you shoot to kill
Inspired by actual events in Ohio 2003
Sense something still
Urge joy to fill
Boom mystic will
Touch thrills true test
Live happy quest
Etch a clear fest
See what you see
Peace now sets free
Apt ample spree
Charm flavours choice
Ink words of poise
Opt affluent voice
Use your time well
Spur sublime spell
Spice a grand tell
Taste touching times
Inch poignant rhymes
Light greets fond chimes
Laugh with delight
Note fine insight
End with soul flight
Succinct sure soul
Speak wisdom whole
Seek to live bold
Enter with grace
Reach with kind face
Explore this place
Now and here know
Express warm glow
Surreal touch shows
Obsess love true
Unfurl sure cues
Love fashions you

You hung the moon
Accompanied by the night
You hung the sun
Accompanied by the light
You hung the clouds
Images of angels bright
What did I ever do to deserve
The mercy, grace and forgiveness
You’ve placed into my life, freeing me
Forgiving me and saving me from death
And the grave – the devil’s deadly wrath
What did I ever do to deserve
A love so true to me, a love so gentle
A love that would always leave me
With assurance of heaven’s embrace
You breathed life into man
A sweet joy that is alive
You gave us all your plan
Making us give our drive
You taught us the ways we can
Make it through fears and revive
What did I do to deserve
Your unending peace and love
You’ve brought me through the worst
And taught me to always look up
To the place where you send me dreams
From the sweetness of angel’s wings
You’ve sent me a second chance
To be filled with love and compassion
A sense of truth that is alive
With the faith that only You provide
You remind me why
I feel so free and alive
You fill my entire life
With joy and hope that thrive
You accept me as I am
With forgiveness where I strive
The raven caw loudly from tree branches,
as 2 of them argue or emphasize a point
These large birds seem to arrive at times of death
I saw them at a graveyard on a cold winter day
I see them lately swirling above in Spring
Something about their voice carries far
As if it is full of unwanted messages repeating...
The silence may be better, but too empty at times
Moments fill with thoughts of then, now, later
Instead, I choose to fly myself , with new thoughts
Above and beyond all this, with imagination
Knowing later, my voice will carry just as far
and break any lurking silence that breaks my heart
New things will be found, created and experienced
Just as the Cherry blossoms bloom above dead crocus
There will always be the inevitable circumstances
There is no way to dodge such hurdles in life
But, with my mind, heart and soul anything is possible
With my being, I will overcome, death and destruction
I know my journey and every step that I have taken
It is a long, weaving road that leads to peace... as it whispers
