Sometimes I feel
like telling you
go on
just do it
get on with it
get it over with
if you want to finish your life
I don't give a ....
other times
I want to solve it for you
fix whatever is wrong
make you happy
lead you to Jesus
let you find salvation
but you may never find
happiness because
you love misery
boredom and
feeling sick
it makes you happy
in your miserable kind of way
I'm not sure where this is going
but it will
come to me
God will tell me
one day
I
just need
patience
Or
Am I even right
in trying to help
or ignore you
who am I to
force my thoughts
upon you
or to wash you
down the drain
and forsake you
If
I try to force
my belief upon you
isn't that just selfish
on my part and
nothing new
what should I do
other than encourage you
empathize and listen
for if you talk it through
after awhile
your teeth might glisten
Gee
that was a cheesy line
in a heavy subject matter
and I can't pretend to think
even for a moment
that I know better
Political Supposition
By Franklin Price

Suppose that a billionaire rich guy
Worth maybe a billion or six
With an ego as big as this country
Saw it was broken and needed a fix
Was willing to use his own fortune
To go where he thought it should be
To have a say in how it should get there
To fund his own presidency
Also suppose that this rich guy
Was already a celebrity man
With a need to control all around him
Aspirations that could make you a fan
Not afraid to voice his opinions
Say outrageous things right to your face
Do you think such a man could move mountains
To help the U.S. again find it's place?
Would such a man if he made it
Be unable to control or refrain
To listen because of his ego
Do stupid things to send us on down the drain?
Do you like where we are at this moment?
Do you think we are where we should be?
The establishment now in the capitol
Have done nothing at all I can see
This rich man for sure is not like them
Is a force that could change everything
They're afraid of this man with the money
Who as an outsider could be the king.
songcatcher in the street and i see you walking by
(oh how i wish that i could talk to you)
i suddenly have a taste for a fresh bagel and hot cocoa
(oh how i wish i could walk with you)
you have a way about yourself that quietly commands and demands respect
(i wanna buy you an ice cream cone)
you have a way about yourself that just clean stops a room
(i really would like to walk you home)
songcatcher in the street and i watch your side hips switch
(i wonder what type of dances you can do)
i have these fantasies of certain places where you can slowly shake your tush
(i wonder what true blue romance will do to you)
you have a style about yourself that captivates captivation
(i wanna buy you an oreo shake)
you have a style about yourself that inspires happy elation
(i wanna ask you out on a date)
songcatcher in the street and i see him kissing you
(i think i wanna puke)
all my hopes go down the drain and i am strangely missing you
(i wish it was a fluke)
oh, the way you bless his love makes all flowers bloom
(i guess he feels like the man)
i just silently pass by and just him a different tune
(i have imagined all i can)
songcatcher in the street i dream about you
(i wanna be your king)
what i would give just to express just one hint of a clue
(with you i wanna do my thing)
however in reality he beat me to the punch
(left uppercut and all)
wow, how i would react if i had the floor to chance my hunch
(in love with you i would fall)
songcatcher in the street and i watch you pass by
(i just repeat each step)
i wish that i could let you know that you are my greatest high
(you would upgrade my rep)
the reality is you will never know me
(that is the saddest truth)
to get even a hint of your attention...oh God just show me
(she would invigorate my youth)
In this moment, writing despite a headache, stuffed nose, blurred vision
Dry throat, exhaustion
Heart beats pounding, over exerted
As it fights the virus/infection attacking
A very weak body
As the moments fly, erratic thoughts swirl
In a moment then disappear
Then a new thought emerges from the thick mucus
Sticking, it tries to pull forth into motivation
Sucked down into a swirling fatigue
In this moment, the remnants of a cold????
Sinusitis maybe sucks the joy down the drain

Have you ever had a day, you wished you were dead,
what makes these thoughts pop up in our head.
It has been a while since it came to me,
but I was already dead, I just couldn’t see.
My whole life washed down the drain,
but to then, be cleansed of its reign.
How this life can change in a second you see,
and those things we lose, sometimes sets us free.
If you keep those feelings, in your heart,
in life, it will be hard to find your part.
Sometimes, the people places, and things,
have their very own, deadly stings.
I no longer wish these thoughts, you see,
my heart belongs to God, the way it should be.
All kinds of these thoughts, that comes to mind,
trust in Jesus, and you will find.
A life that is worth the living, you see,
that’s why, He died for you and me.
To take these thoughts, and turn them around,
they will set you upon, higher ground!
When eternity’s tolling its summons
And my spirit must answer the bell,
Verify my reply to the devil,
Document my descent into hell.
Draft a suitably cynical scripture
As a testament tailored to fit
My eccentric delinquent demeanor
With sardonic, yet eloquent wit.
Diagnose the malignant psychosis
I embraced as I raced to my fate,
And deliver a sordid prognosis.
Pass a verdict that ends all debate.
Let my legacy fade with the sunset.
Let my memory pass down the drain
As my shadow blends in with the darkness
And my footprints dissolve in the rain.
Bid farewell to the women I’ve cherished.
Beg forgiveness of those whom I’ve hurt.
Save a locket of hair for my children,
And then scatter my ash in the dirt.
Raise your glasses with festive abandon,
Let the truth of the irony shine.
Use profanity’s edgiest gesture,
Toast my passing with laughter and wine.

Seventy-four million Americans had their votes cancelled,
Tis far more than mere shame.
Honest, hard working, some retired, 'twas no accident...
Thefe is fraud and vile, valid blame!
They stood in line in winter for hours and then,
Dominion flushed them, as turds, down the drain.
Run over by a technology train with neither heart
Nor a human brains.
The judges, so awesome in black gowns, let
America go down a filthy computerized toilet.
Only crime, looting, burning cities no police,
they seem OK?
Crime, OK at their politically appointed feet.
If vote fraud goes on, the country disappears.
Run by madcap anarchists who will murder,
ruin cities....... and cheer.

In the mirror - standing before me
Is everything that I need to be...
An image of human certainty.
Certainly - upon my inspection...
Far away, I am from perfection
Which is portrayed in my reflection.
This, many times before I have seen
Whether or not the mirror is clean...
But I am sure you know what I mean.
I take onboard these thoughts of token...
Mirror image is not outspoken
Quite as much if its face is broken.
Awoken - the position of smear
Can change an entire atmosphere
And make a perception disappear.
Reception is null inside stained glass.
The other side of much greener grass
When a clear reflection comes to pass.
Observance has taken centre stage
As I grow older - become of age...
Self-preservation which I engage.
Wage - I must of my image, maintain...
For I cannot acquire or gain
Any more time going down the drain.
Results of scars - the marks that were made.
Now on my person, they are displayed...
Physical prices which I have paid.
Aside from the mirror, these I try...
Looking into both a diamond's eye
And my cast on water flowing by.
Why - should I worry or show concern?
I cannot heal, remove or unlearn
Any real or proverbial burn...
Which brings me back to where I began.
The mirror says to me - yes, you can.
Fairest of all, I am not less than.
Slipping from the sheets,
her feet touch the carpet with regret.
She tips to the shower.
In, then out. Leaving last night’s sins
spiraling down the drain.
Dressing quietly and quickly,
she applies her red lipstick.
First, heavy.
Then tissuing off some so
it doesn’t look too fresh.
Her keys are where she left them.
She sweeps them up as she throws
her purse across her shoulder.
Without looking back
she leaves.
Checking herself in the rear-view mirror,
she touches up her hair.
As she pulls away, she catches a glance of
the hotel room door.
210.
And she knows that every number before that
no longer matters.
Have you ever lost your VaVoom
Had no idea where it actually went
Maybe it fell out of your pocket
At last nights entertainment event
Or did your VaVoom drop to the shower floor
Unnoticed as you merrily sang a tune
Did it gurgle and swirl down the drain hole
Vanished and not to return anytime soon
Perhaps your Vavoom jumped out of your bag
While you shopped at the supermarket store
Then unknowingly was kicked from aisle to aisle
Eventually kicked straight out the shop door
Or did your Vavoom disappear deliberately
Feeling the need to venture and explore
To find a better more fulfilled life
Never to be your VaVoom anymore
VaVooms are known to have minds of their own
They don’t like rules and are quite cheeky
One must be mindful of their VaVoom at all times
As they are determined and downright sneaky!
