In the Moment

In this moment, writing despite a headache, stuffed nose, blurred vision

Dry throat, exhaustion

Heart beats pounding, over exerted

As it fights the virus/infection attacking

                                         A very weak body

As the moments fly, erratic thoughts swirl

              In a moment then disappear

Then a new thought emerges from the thick mucus

Sticking, it tries to pull forth into motivation

Sucked down into a swirling fatigue

In this moment, the remnants of a cold????

Sinusitis maybe sucks the joy down the drain

sara, was just going off when I saw your lovely comment. Yes, shadowpoetry is still a nice site for us writers. Did you know it in the golden era when it had contests, bookstore and poetry community. I was editor of poetry for Marie and I loved it so much. I even ended up judging the shadow Ink contests myself along with other judges who were anonymous to me. that is how they should judge here. Anonymously and without people knowing the judges either. well, have a good day. I'm done now!!

Outstanding my dear friend -- I don't believe sinusitis will keep you down for long -- strong is your spirit!

Sara, this is REALLY good stuff. Not the sinus thing but the way you attacked the subject of it in your writing. GOOD job.
