pimpernel on my thighs
eloquence and delectation
conversations with the wise
reveal to me which death i must die.

lily in the valley
bravery passion and determination
whatever has to be done
is a puzzling bird song

eyes lifted skyward past the sun
sensitive tranquil and confident
imagination manifests the role
your humanity learned to adore

suspended in the 'not' time
zeal energy and the wish fulfilled
feelings don't get shut down
nor are they the skin of a reticent sound

kissing the pompon undefined
foregoing forbearing sacrificial
the soul has no power in the self
until it is recognized by it

sunflowers begin a perfect day
poised energized and glowing
outside is all within
happiness is on the other side of fear

waterlilies basking in the moonlight
resplendent unobscured polished
dreaming up another dawn
reveals to me which death i must die.

Let's wax poetic - wax on..

We’re in for it
When we enter
the insubstantial country of love

That secret theater, in an invisible mansion of moods

it’s a resort that houses its share of speechless monologues and sore disappointments, all lovers know that, but there are infinite discoveries too—secret, intimate delights and sensual confidences.

Ok, wax off.

My horoscope this morning said, “any tension you’re experiencing now is just part of the process.”

Peter (my bf), flew in last night. When we’re separated too long, remembering him, remembering us, can at times, seem like a memory exercise and I find myself wondering if I’m wasting my bikini years on a handshake deal. Then we’re reunited and bam, I’m reminded why it’s a ‘dub-u, dub’ again.

He’s a delectation—in a Christmas bauble kind of way—shiny and dangerous because I want to touch him—but not be loud or showy about it. Leeza (Lisa’s 14-year-old sister) whispered to me, when I was getting some ice, “You watch him with the too-still poise of a cat about to strike.” I smiled at the complement because I love cats.

Every once in a while I’ll pinch him, to make sure he’s real. “Oww! Stop that!
“What?!” I ask, pulling back as if innocently confused.

I got him a room at the Marriott Essex House. It’s 400 feet down W59th from Lisa’s building entrance to the front door of his hotel. I measured it off, with urgent steps—then I helped him unpack. We unpacked a lot.

Later, we joined Dave and Lisa for a Christmas light tour—Manhattan’s flexing its wow-factor for us.

I didn’t get to sit on Santas lap this year, I’m a little old for that,
but I did get what I wanted most—I’m sure I’m grinning like an idiot.
It’s not quite Christmas yet, but thanks, Santa.

"Man is graced as he loves, and love never fails. This river will lead life to its afar haven, where they can relish halcyon days and starry nights." By Poet
___________________________________________________________

Palmy trees swing in an idyllic sway
An utopian demesne of a pacific day,
A cheerful golden haze opines the fray
In quiet times, quixotic people stay.

Halcyon is an avatar in a mythic tale
Upon the sumptuous settlement of scale,
Provides a tranquil, timeless charm
To this delightful and tranquil farm.

Harmony and empyrean poise the spirit
In silence, the tide slows without limit,
In happiness, birds buzz and sing,
A balmy nexus around serene swings.

In a sunlit setting, silence still lulls.
It strips any slots and succors its hulls.
Be at ease, pacific, sedate, and quiescent.
Silence prevails, ariose and fluorescent.

Tranquility reigns with composure and hush.
Pacification whispers. No need to rush.
Unleash the worries; calm will imply
In peaceful quietude, solace will descry.

Quietly, the halcyon beings dwell,
In this serene and tranquil spell.
Pacifying breeze and calming sea,
Bestow a brain of blithe and believability.

Delectation, demureness, dependability
Decry mind vastness in this idyllic reality
Mollify the restless soul, taciturn, and bestill.
Heal inner stress and serenity with a chill.

Lackadaisical in the thick night, with no voice,
Allow peace whispers, fly, and sedate choice.
Relieve the anxious heart, restore peace,
After a serene start, never let calmness cease.

Filched Physiognomy Mine

Filched Physiognomy - Mine!

Absolute zero escape
velocity guts dance
sing days (contra and square),
cuz metabolic full abundance
abdominal adipose tissue acceptance
not in accordance

with light as a feather
miss lost acquaintance
the boy within forced admittance
as sure man tanks of fat did advance
shotgun marriage demanded allegiance
to pledge lifetime alliance

no room for allowance
crushing lightness of being ambiance
nor allies to help me combat
battle fatigue require
ring superman endurance
to muster strength

to stand erect else ambulance
will whisk away husky
embarrassing appearance
loose fitting clothing
jelly roll appurtenance
overnight digital readout,

asper body mass index
scaled quick ascendance,
thus when showering,
I look askance
fearing bulging balloon
will necessitate assistance

else... diet of worms
as only assurance
safeguarding body electric
against hecklers at open casket
no matter, a small perchance
crowd in attendance
yea... eventual cremation

after life only fat chance
to alleviate present circumstance
heavy matter fails security clearance
the price for astute cognizance
weak willpower alighting countenance
esse pie ying sweet treats

now measures taken to counterbalance
to fight temptation and dalliance
overruling feasting craving delectation
to restore trim deliverance
love handles around equator
no magician can render disappearance

yes the discontinuance
of just dessert must maintain distance
without being weighed
down with disturbance
by heaviest haunch
ain't no elegance

lugging extra encumbrance
when throughout my early life,
skinny, yet able to steel glance
mirrored reflection now grievance,
where wistful memory
ha...ironic insouciance

more so than
today finds intolerance,
thus woebegone issuance
thorn in muss hide
to experience jubilance
hmm...maybe a strong

arm can lance
excess flab quite a nuisance
to defy gravity, why penance
sans unsightly paunch
yours truly laments skin
tight fit, thus petulance

lame excuse unwanted protuberance
necessitates dedicated pursuance
recollection of washboard
abdomen impossible, yes
nothing accomplished by remonstrance!

Love’s Rapture

That insatiable and forever moment
To capture and hold, deep and dear
In thy heart and soul, whilst savoring
Its enchanted and palpable emotions
For the rest of thy life on this Earth.

Love is fleeting for sure as this aspect
Is a definite part of its eternal DNA in
Mankind’s three-dimensional world of
Finite capabilities and true experiences
Where relationships can last a lifetime
Or be suddenly torn asunder in terrible
Moments of hot anger and sad betrayal
When a couple breaks up and all is lost.

Love in its truest sense of delectation is—
That giddy feeling when two people first meet
That instant when they gaze into each other's eyes
That aura when the air smells of fresh red roses
That hot rush of emotion as they first embrace
That sensual moment when they kiss deeply
That special confidence that all is now possible
That ethereal moment as two souls become one

Love’s rapture is that unique divine rhapsody
Heavenly sent by Almighty God Himself.

In the end, love’s rapture is what gives all of us
That special sense of affirmation and shared worth
As human beings made in God’s image.

Amen.

Premium Member My Flannel Shirt

You standing there looking so innocent
       and sexy, biting your lip
Smiling so guile-y and your hair
Cascading around your face
Over your shoulders and styled by JBF
You standing a bit awkwardly your legs
      falling from my flannel shirt
And smooth as hell, your feet up on the balls
      as if in high heels
Flexing in anticipation and a devilish grin
With a "What me?" delectation
It's not a skirt it's my flannel shirt
And you with your post coital giggle
A splash of bawdy and a hint of naughty
      and looking muy caliente
With my eyes I take you in as you take
      my breath away

Premium Member Sandwiches

The Earl of Sandwich created the sandwich, so it is alleged,
So as not to interrupt a gamblin' game in which he'd hedged!
If he'd used his given name, Montague, for that repast instead,
We'd be eatin' "Montagues", not sandwiches, with our bread!

I 'spose it was the genesis of fast foods with its debut.
It's outlasted passing fads such as meat and cheese fondue.
Entrepreneurs since have created every type of combination,
To slap between two slices of bread for our delectation!

As soon as they're weened, kids want betwixt their bread,
Peanut butter and any kind of jelly, liberally spread!
Who can resist a delectable sandwich of cheese and salami,
Or slices of rye, piled high with mustard and pastrami?

Ain't nothin' like a reuben with beef, cheese and sauerkraut,
Between rye with horseradish hot enough to make you shout!
Even those fried egg sandwiches my Mom fixed for school,
I could hardly wait to eat - even they made me drool!

From steaks, chops and mashed pertaters I can refrain,
But I really do need my sandwich fix now and again.
It's makin' me salivate just writin' about all this baloney,
So I think I'll go fix myself a rye, cheese and pepperoni!

Premium Member My Sustenance

My name is Aphrodite and
my offering to man
is fierce love.
I spread it out before you
like a lavish bridegroom’s dinner
with foods named aphrodisiacs rightly after me!
Caviar, oysters and shrimp;
spears of warmed asparagus and
artichokes stripped of leaves to dip in luscious butter;
truffles too with fragrant muskiness;
all foods of succulence - to stimulate your appetite.
My tender lips are moist - champagne to further whet desire.
You drink me in. . .
Entreating you to take your fill, I whisper in your ear,
“Partake of me, my love. Take more and more.”

When your feeding frenzy
 is at its peak -
that’s when I offer you - dripping from my fingers - sweetest fruit:
honeyed figs with cream, peaches, plums, and kumquats;
and last: one red well-ripened berry.

Utterly sated,
drunk from delectation;
motionless, you lie there on your bed.
And when your eyes move rapidly
beneath their heavy lids,
I slide my body carefully off yours,
slip back into my gossamer-thread gown,
then tiptoe to the door; turn the knob;
and without looking back,
step into night.

You waken and want to feast again
but find that I have parted.
(to banquets such as mine, one rarely
is invited more than once).
And so you live and love,
knowing that you can’t resume -
ever in your life again -
a coupling so completely gratifying.
Your passion was consumed in
your consuming of this goddess!
I take from men again . . .again. . .
and then again.
But the nourishment that I require
always must be fresh,
and that is what
eternally
sustains me.

Premium Member Feline Frustration!

Today, our cat spent some time with the vet for his prognostication.
It had been a couple of years or so since Simba's last examination.
Simba had no say in the matter due to our paucity of conversation.
As I coaxed him into his carrying cage, he howled in desperation!

The vet and staff look forward to Simba's visit with little anticipation!
He gets rather grumpy at the vets, exhibiting aggressive agitation!
Hence, for examinations he must be placed under very heavy sedation;
Only then can the veterinarian proceed to practice his vocation!

His eyes, ears, nose and throat were fine including his respiration.
There was no evidence of fleas or any problems with his urination.
The old fella has only 16 of 28 teeth due to a previous operation,
But no matter, he eats like an army mule in handling mastication!

For his arthritis the vet prescribed a bottle of medication,
And for good measure he was given a rabies inoculation.
I'm aware that "cat-scans" are used in treating the human population.
By Jove! Simba received a true "cat"-scan as a part of his observation!

I anticipated receipt of the bill for the tests with some trepidation!
To pay for all of this, need I present an arm or leg for amputation?
After all, we'd do anything for our old pal, 'tis our obligation.
We want to keep him around for nine more lives for our delectation!
