Break of Day Spawns Thwarted Revanchist Rebellion Among Biosphere

The last trailing tendril filaments
of moon beams nocturnally trace
fashion an illusory gilded chariot Ark,
whence upon celestial runners,
the approach of dawn's early light
illuminated terrestrial space
which nebulous solar city flanges
revisited since time millennial
hubbub of human race
nsync with Zodiacal constellations,
which appear to shift

as planet Earth axis place
alternated in accordance with
inexplicable universal teenage
mutant Ninja turtles joint pact
with power rangers assumption
sans quotidian playstation remotely
controlled by aliens upon
oblate spheroid figurative stage
set whence commencement nudged
village people foment quiet riot rage
and rant against

uncontrollable catastrophic frenzy,
when cosmic creator
rehearses another page
from playbook, which
color coded cobbled Bible
emanates with radiant hues
of yellow and osage
nonetheless, no mortal adept to predict
(only within plus and/or minus
some marginal variance of error).

oft times punishing atmospheric phenomena
incarcerated, pistol whipped
(if anther incorrect),
whiplash unleashed, oppressed, imposed
challenging condition testing ground
flora and fauna could thrive,
whereat most hardy
plants and animals didst abound
linkedin upon terra firmae
murmur of orchestrated
organisms devising fitting
evolutionary survival traits

plentiful glory vis a vis L'Chaim;
gnome hatter outlook required
sprinting thru uber vanguard,
where zero sum game pitted
disadvantaged Feng shui
living things poorly sparred mismatched
against itching attired egghead,
kickstarting netzero beastie boys
indeed emulating hotmail prodigies
holding greensward ground.

scrimmage fostered, elicited,
dictated, commandeered nature
going full throttle with pings
across biological labyrinth
positioning glommed, peeved,
mis tweeted seeds of life, and white lily,
within soil lent green grubby business
whereby herb and woody stemmed
recalcitrant proto flings
wrote toe rooter bakers

gave Gaia a run for her money
to buy Buffalo wings
chasing miscreants nimbly
outwitting, out-rigging
outsmarting nettlesome stings,
and sage protuberant fungi,
released messengers where rise home
spore ports left nada mushroom,
though symbiosis wood
bark a roll a cord.

Labor Day 2022

Courtesy of one or more tradesmen,
first Monday in September set aside
for employees able, eager, ready
and willing to acquire money
to marry groom or bride
climb the corporate ladder or
become an artisan, entrepreneur, technician
to side step getting rung, drafted
like an oxen plow, commandeered and chide
by management as insubordinate
till retirement or join kiln fields
once the music died

from plane over exertion, yet nonetheless
sweat of brow efforts praised I espied
searching me noggin brief history re:

dispersed aromas recognizing efforts
of workers with quality control as guide
grievances against danger challenged
sense and sensibility stalwart did not hide

American made products from those
who put figurative nose to grindstone –

9/11, 2001
Tuesday morning when it all began
Four Jet Airliners
Hi-jacked at will
To fly their mission
To kill, blood spill

Target chosen
New York City
No questions asked
No pity

Internal flight
Laid-en with fuel
Turned off course
To the Hi-jackers rule
Islamist, al-Qaeda is the name they claim
What honest faith
Would want this fame
To take these lives on this September day
It's not what religion should portray

Nineteen jackers, whats on their minds
To do their deed on their own mankind
No scriptures, books of the olden day
Would let any brother, be slain this way
What battle would be, without seeing your killers eyes
This nineteen, the world despise

Our modern world on camera caught
Jet Airliners flying the next so fraught
North Tower hit by flight 11
Then the South by flight 175
All aboard the planes, would not survive
Many compatriots would also die.
To this day i wonder why?

CNN and TV crew's
Capture, man's cruelty to man
It makes you spew
The cowards that commandeered these planes
Are not religious, plainly insane

To be on the ground and look above
Two Manhattan giants
New Yorkers grew to love
Taken down by evil beings
They can't believe what they are seeing

Two explosions in just under an hour
Office life is about to shower
Paper and life fall to the ground
Silenced grief makes no sound
To New York City, that never sleeps
In a state of mourning that will presently weep

We hear on the news, Washington's been hit
The Pentagon, yea that's it
One of the four, also has it's say
On this dark September day

In Pennsylvania
The fourth still in flight
Passengers on board
Try with all their might
Overcome the scum
Who hi-jacked their plane
The next hour would never be the same

Somerset County is where she fell
These brave civilians,
As calls will tell
To try and claim the plane that's theirs
So suppress those infidel curs>

Premium Member I Hate Animal Dumpers

Our dog is relaxing for the first time in almost eighteen hours.
The interloper is finally gone.
She is so relieved; I have never heard her sigh this deeply and we have had her for seven years.
Yes, I am referring to the bulldog-pit bull mix puppy that has held us hostage and consumed
Our every waking thought for almost two days.
A heartless person kicked this puppy out onto our road on Thursday.
On Friday animal control said they would come and get her; but they did not come.
This dog, through no fault of her own, was dumped in the evening on a dark, desolate country road.
My road.
Featured once in a Kansas City magazine with this caption:
Donohoo Road, the most desolate road in Kansas City.
Nice huh?
Our porch is a war zone. This poor puppy that we tried to bring inside, but
Could not due to its adverse behavior toward our dog, and our dog’s incessant barking
Had to be outside for two nights.
Last night it rained all night.
Luckily, this strange little puppy commandeered the outside cat’s cozy bed.
Shark, the displaced cat slept in the garage’s first bay on a hard concreted floor, and was mad all night.
Did I say the porch is a war zone? Everything we left out there is in shreds – snow scraper, shoe,
Boot, gardening glove. This puppy somehow managed to chew an entire tennis ball down to a little
Pink center.
We are all so relieved it is gone.
My husband took it to the Humane Shelter and gave them a large donation for keeping it as they
Originally said they did not have room. When he told them the amount of our donation, they made room.
He said a lady picked up the puppy, and the puppy snuggled into her neck, and she will be warm tonight.
I hate animal-dumpers.

Premium Member Hats Off To Cats

For National Cat Day, October 29, 2022

Egyptians worshipped and revered them;
Superstitious people feared them;
When wicked witches commandeered them,
They rode on brooms and sometimes steered them;
In cramped pet shops owners tiered them;
Exotic dealers bred and reared them,
Sometimes bobbed their tails and eared them
Then cool and casually auctioneered them;
Poets lauded them and cheered them;
Children's writers buccaneered them;
Hateful boys have chased and jeered them;
Careless motorists have smeared them;
Allergics sneezed each time they neared them;
Sculptors bronzed them; groomers sheared them,
Trimmed their toenails and veneered them;
Toy makers stuffed and puppeteered them;
Jewelers brooched or lavaliered them;
Geneticists have engineered them
And for research volunteered them.
Though man's endured them and endeared them,
He's barely tamed, not domineered them.
To humans history has adhered them,
But their nine lives have persevered them.

And that is why I tip my hat
To the legacy of the cat.
Even this hard heart's been smitten
By a furry ball of kitten.
Cats have kept us fascinated
Since the first ones were created
And perhaps hung out with Adam's other half.
They have been both pets and passions,
And served as well as fads and fashions,
But it really is enough to make one laugh.
Men may ply themselves with worldly honors,
And of slavish dogs play prideful owners,
But to aristocratic cats…
They're merely staff.

Author's note: Cats may have been domesticated as early as 7,500 BC. They are the second most popular house pet in the U.S., behind…go figure!...freshwater fish.

Tonight I Went To Heaven

Tonight I went to Heaven

Tonight, I went to heaven even though I was asleep.
Alone stood I in a clouded hall, confused and at the brink.
Starkness attacked my presence; bewildered I began to weep.
In the distance, I saw figures and my eyes started to blink.

Slowly white approached me…light was their backdrop.
Awe-stricken by the quiet, my eternity seemed so near.
I could not feel my heartbeat throb; soon, breath, too, began to stop.
My swirling head spun very fast, images appeared unclear.

With open arms they greeted me my loved friends and relatives dear.
Peace and light surrounded everywhere as starkness disappeared.
“Come, my dear, do not shed your tears. Our Father is very near.”
I walked with them beyond that light; my trust had been commandeered.

I did not see the pearly gates, but the streets were burnished gold.
Winding paths where chariots passed on golden bricks placed with care.
There tapestries spun from angel hair, I spellbound did behold.
Glistened by the Father’s glow that radiated loves bright flare.

I expected the grandest mansions, exquisite, very plush.
But saw small dwellings of much style each one prepared...in place.
People walked upon the streets, but not one soul did I see rush.
Simple, like the Savior, unfettered-love filled Heaven's space.

Soft music permeated, heavenly singing infusing.
I wondered why they took me from the hall to that lovely hill -
Dressed in perfect whiteness they came with pureness embracing.
And led me to my amazing and beautiful dreamy thrill.
