Grandmother Always Encouraged
As I stood in front of the baroque painting
"Old Woman and a Boy with Candles", by Sir Peter Paul Rubens
instantly trigger a warped déjà vu.
An ebullient cacophony of absent voices I used to have with my grandmother.
She would give me carte blanche around her home.
It was an embarrassing anomaly I couldn't explain to my aunts.
By their standards I was a bona fide dilettante and ennui .
Grandmother always encouraged me in the creative avant-garde of arts
by using my imagination and a strong sense of élan
fantasy throughout my muse that I love.

What does "Goodbye" even mean?
Anyone? Somebody please help me
Understand this perplexing word
Suffused with melancholy.
Goodbye to what? To whom? Me?
Are you attending my wake?
Shhh, don't say it as if you don't know
I'm coming right back!
Funny how it never sounds less final
When said even with a smile?
I could never solve the mystery of it. And why
Do we say it with such pensive eyes?
Tell me no goodbyes
It's too early for that. I'm still busy living.
I give you carte blanche to do so
When you give my eulogy.
Why trouble my mind with such a word?
Instead, make my soul smile with
"See you soon," because you will
Before sundown.
I'm not lying dead in an open casket
Tell me no goodbyes, my dear friend.
I'm simply heading out.
I've got an errand to run.

I suffer in poverty for lack of baroque emotions;
glimmers to decorate my eyes would be an anomaly
as deja vu smiles blend the grays of going through the motions~
I am poor but for the rich ennui now my life’s homily.
Once, I had danced with rhythmic elan embellished with passion
in dilettante days of hedonistic ways for amusement,
carte blanche in disco nights of sexuality in fashion,
cacophony jaded my being to lack of attunement.
Youth was lost, soul sold in lustful lifestyle with wild avant-garde,
bankrupting bona fide animation - sabotaged and scarred.

Ten words ten lines 2-Big Surf Competition
After a long ennui of big wave competitions
surfers take to Oahu's North Shore "to go for baroque."
For these bonafide big wave riders hanging ten
is party time, cake frosted with elan and deju vu.
Waves peaking it's face into the eyes of the brave,
with carte blanche of fifty footers, part of the sugar.
All eye candy are on the Hawaiians, lipping alley-opps on the curls,
showcasing avante-garde to the diletttante's and spectators.
As waves keep pounding the shore to the cacophony of applause,
to tats, tongs and tans, big wave riders take to this anomaly waving.

You Have to Hand it to Couched Bandit
There's a cat just like me
A couched bandit on the spree
Her raccoon eyes hankering for more grub
... and another belly rub
Did I say with baby oil?
For she pre-purrs to be spoiled
Carte blanche in her pocket
Bells and whistles on her docket
For the remote control is hers
The newspaper she'll read first
The conversation she'll hoard
Wield, wield her mighty sword
Fur, fur the couch is all hers
That ... should I say, she pre-purrs
This epiphany glistens !!!
Honey, honey are you listening?

Ice say... water we dew wing to planet Earth?
Tis appalling *****sapiens legacy,
the future survival of species can ill afford
hence we must not dodge and dart away,
but heed urgent call to arms decree fiat,
lest vast gamut of flora and fauna
deprived their rightful respect
courtesy ewe buick wit us ram
me bipedal hominids wresting
driver's seat and steering fate
all species unfairly doomed
analogous to horse and buggy
only far worse, whereat naked ape
that nasty short tempered and brutish
beast finagled, hijacked, besotted,
usurped... sacred covenant taurus
once illustrious precious habitats
escorted to shreds
innocent plants and animals, we
signalled anonymous poetic mouthpiece,
cuz world wide webbed tapestry
irreparably tattered, thus swiftly tailored
measures beg critters to needle
arrogantly depraved, galling humans
violating, tormenting, ruining...
basket of deplorables mankind
violently, obnoxiously, indiscriminately...
destroying carte blanche - absolute
zero guilt whittling, vaporizing,
uglifying, trampling, slashing, razing,
quashing, paving, oppressing,
eradicating, devaluing, burning...
once upon a time edenic oblate spheroid
now crowded house overpopulated
teeming billions wantonly annihilate
at expense of avast extinction
to sustain global industrialization
kickstarting lamentable machinations
spindling, fondling, mutilating
permanently desecrating scarring
wreaking havoc rendering uber
terrestrial plain untenable
massacring, incapacitating Gaia,
she unable to shuck off yoked aggressive
lymphatic, metastatic, narcissistic...
asphyxiation, choking, eradication
biological diversity flummoxed
hounded, jackknifed, liquidated
promulgating me, no matter futile
effort to appeal against doom
fervent clemency against
effrontery, queasy temerity...
mercilessly rained down pell mell
upon inimitable mother nature
unspeakable, unpardonable, unforgivable...
despicable, horrible, ineradicable... demise
affecting every living organism.
Her musical style may have been avant - garde
But her sad songs left ennui emotions and hearts scarred
When she found herself within the lyrics of her song
Her romantic elan diminished before long
She had given him carte blanche to her heart
But soon, a deja vu of broken dreams it did impart
She thought that his love was bona fide
But deep within an anomaly did reside
A cacophony of musical notes echoed across baroque structures
Where love's melody was but a dilettante allure

The turning wheels of time crush and rattle
life in the arena of strife fighting a constant battle,
I try to win rising from the dismal depth of ennui,
wonder if living is a wandering notion in time’s continuity.
I give my motivated avant-garde mind carte blanche
to make for me a metaphorical mask at least for once.
I wear it to act in the show of my life with elan,
and would secretly smile even after I am done.
I transcend the delusive time playing the part not new,
for I perform from familiarity under the spell of déjà vu.

Contest : Deja Vu
Sponsored by : Unseeking Seeker
Bona fide baroque melodies resonated concert halls in Italy
Reigning Western Europe with elan more than a century
Until new composers innovated into avant-garde music
As ennui artists soon after wrote romantic modern beats.
Cacophony of sounds emerged after advent of modernity
As talent won carte-blanche to write popular harmonies.
Feeling of deja vu echoed sounds in modern-day music halls
When baroque compositions reignited latent fond-memories.
Dilettante musicians did not succeed except as an anomaly
For the musical world crowns only the best of its creativity.

THE AVANTE-GARDE OF VELLUM AND INK
The avante-garde of vellum and ink, like Cupid’s bow and arrow,
Carte blanche to choose the muse we love - imagination’s marrow.
Bullseye of introspection, a deep inkwell — my bona fide intention.
The juxtaposition — a cacophony of the archer’s winepress contravention.
Well-perched anomaly, like high-wire birds, of hitchcockian suspense.
A honeyed deja vu, a kiss well spent, on charismatic common sense.
Ennui, eventually, my pen withdraws, a flatline — without insipid beat.
Paddles renew my heart — this dilettante soon rises from her invalid seat.
My spirit glows rainbow baroque, pearls vagabond dance with abandon.
Ambrosial-sassy elan drizzles like syrup, on sweet spot pancakes land’n.
