Ephemeral online moment...
Yours truly plagiarizes himself with zeal
courtesy mental cogs and rusty wheel,
thus no literary crime committed to steel
I broadcast material shown thru rickety
black and white Roman Times newsreel
forthwith shoddy wordplay exempts me
against copyright infringement meaning
only I own privilege to take self to heel,
nevertheless yours truly hoops longshot
to score brownie points a higher power,
I will not cajole, bribe nor appeal...
while sitting on haunches horsing around
contemplating how to clearly expound
idea that the here and now does not exist
cuz no sooner then present moment
experienced than bitta bing bitta bang...
little block of time immediately gone,
hence quite profound...
Whereby present, i.e.
2:24 PM March 4th, 2021
instantaneously becomes past.
Linkedin thru tenuous
webbed world wide
electronic thread defied
no matter flurry of emails/
messages exchanged flattery applied
courtesy transient online
tête à tête downside
cyber venue offers convenient exit
personal aversion, I chide
brevity figurative thorn in side
futile effort Androcles tried
I haint lion, familiarization denied
fledgling cyber acquaintanceships
dead on the vine, yours truly sighed
potential friendship never fortified,
cuz immediate value judgement cast,
instantaneously prejudiced aversion
perhaps hidden agenda implied
maybe intimated illusions of grandeur
netiquette nuances overstepped, I chide
yours truly vouchsafe
absolute zero great expectation
love smitten wounds pride,
the Italian girl in Algiers
inchoate mystique forever unknown
nonetheless fantasize bartered bride
figment of overactive imagination
hence grist for poetry mill
grateful fleeting rapport tried
to take flight before sputtering
doomed to dustbin of history (mine)
filed within memory as template guide
against future unnecessary disappointment
best stick to your guns abide
against infatuation lest
conjured lass doth override
focus on reality no matter who espied
Facebook post, tis foolhardy
to allow, enable, and provide leeway,
hence aimless thoughts elide
dear boy, ya never learned always denied
rapture becoming ensnared
noose sense and sensibility stride
ding blindly, dumbly, foolishly...,
into own perilous entrapment, verstehen?
Dear trafficker,I am on the run
With face emitting fear
Worn in clothe surged into rag
By the scissors of rape
linen scars
With the screech from angry nails;
narrow escape.
Do not ask why I run
Like a prey dodging the hunters’ gun
from thick darkness I run, in search of sun
I am but a derelict
Worn in tattered smock
As the whirlwind stirs frustration
and my hopes remain forlorn
I would relish the scary street
Here is better than your hell
No more shall your contractor waylay my ardent strife
Fruitless life
Sweat in shambles
Still I boast of no life
I wouldn’t come,
Without the credence from your tongue
You said the pastures are green
and life is but a melodious song
Meanwhile you had it planned all along
To make laborers from our clan
The poorer we are, the richer you become
I am only sixteen,
Devoured by manly mantle
For sordid pleasures
My pride will they rumple
and vowed that I shan’t see the morrow’s dawn
If I dare relinquish the place of a pawn
As heeds the rivers’ wave and tide, the coxswain
So do I heed commands that deepens my pain
I am stocked
Can’t move forward, nor to the back return
I am disheartened
With no hope of a glorious turn
In the street corners I shall lay
Where wanton mosquitoes fly
I lay in the spring of tears
Till heaven hears my cry
Trafficker as I lay with earthly stings
I know you are somewhere
Feeding on chicken wings
I run for a place to lay my head
If it means to bunk on grass in exchange for bed
I would anything, than stay in my mistress’ den
Where I am a meal to many men
Daemon! You orchestrated my fall
You took my harvest and careless if I perish
You said papa will be fine when I work
This is all for papa and you know
Why then is my story so
Tell the kids in Togo's loitering street
and all the troubled ones in Africa
When a man like this beacons
Please resist his soothing tongue
For he is darkness in array of light
As he would cajole, to cast on you a lasting plight
He is a coward,
whose fortune depends on our sweat
and in greed, would he have some souls to-let
Trafficker, don’t from your evil schemes relent
Till justice come, and then you’ll have no chance to repent.
All efforts tabled on Nigeria;
Experiencing a fortunate miscarriage,
Feasting Aso rock- a pizzeria
But never admit it is the cause of this age.
Upon the solid manifesto,
That touches all sectors:
Picturing California's Barstow,
To cajole mandates of the electors.
Finally, all promises are working...
Nigerians are glad to vote SAI BABA.
How beautiful things are shirking!
Yet, we never cease referencing YORUBA's BONOBO.
Now, pebbles tear apart the wall to a lowland.
No sands dare last all days.
Though, the wall can not withstand
The test of time come the apartness of clays.
The crevices in the wall:
Is an awaiting lost of hope;
One day, the wall will surely fall.
Just like acrobats won't last all days on tightrope.
The time is no longer right;
The poor and his rights are wrong,
For there's no one to stand by him.
Those beautiful hearts; pure and young
Have been battered and their loves' lights dim.
Buhari's reign is like what?
Revelation said it well in his whatnot
And if that be the truth,
Should we believe, lazy are all youths?
Why do we fear actions and love words?
If we never mind, our hens can fly like birds
But we keep living in reliving,
The leadership orbiting the Africa GIANT's sun outliving...
The societies expectations--
A reason millions are invested in educations.
When shall we be tired?
To relieve those supposed to have retired.
Just like the withered leaves bring
Blessings unto tree to renew its strength.
The odd flowers introduce the spring
And relinquished fortitude to breath.
The detached withered leaves
That have been laid to rest,
Can never regain life's airfoil
Than enrich the top soil.
What are meant for backups,
Ended up been the beautiful ups.
One thing unsure is the extent of our grieves,
All are mere satisfying best.
Of course, sun shall rise and shines bright on the green lushes,
Blessing nature with its radiant nutritional solar energy.
As the aiding glimmer blushes,
It shall promote unbelievable synergy.
But if nights tarry for long,
Mornings shall come with the healing birdsong...
Youths, light the nights;
Cohorts, best their rest.
Ambition in its prime dwells within over time —poet
My special poet…
is one who gets their point across
without agendas or alliterations of a bitter boss
No need for perfect literates who sip on bitters
and pound out heartless ink to other bulls*itters
A black heart smells rotted and oldened by experience
with ordinary nothingness to relay for instance
Webbed tough with matured matted material
used over again, makes not a special poet’s verses imperial
My special poet…
does not grope for interpretation of what’s in the soul
Or use blackened words of mystery that serve to cajole
Or spits floundering anxiety pending
Nor is in one’s own tight confining skin
Nor a swollen head enabled by encouragement,
rigid and giving nothing back
Nor do they look askance from their egocentric self,
Outspoken words that hurt, sensitivity they lack
My special poet…
is one who gets the truth out
reporting issues of division and about
undecided poets who need to explore
not to shun away from what dangers implore
Expresses what’s needed to say
words you trust along the way,
to make what’s important aware
for those with no voice and in despair
We’re all a part of it, the crime and border
God is good, He wants you to know justice’s order
My special poet…
a girly-girl of a soft disposition natured
still rides along within, now matured
I have too much respect for poets
to call out bitter versed ones, we know it’s
not going to change anything or anyone
We are who we are bar none
Understanding the universe that comes first
Time is of the essence not disparaging the worst
When making a split discission
when it’s obvious surrealism,
there is no more discussing what is
special, sincere, sealed woe IT'S me
My special poet…
is not better just unique
It's not a prowess poet that I seek
It’s nice when real poet's genius peak
Cannot hit the ball out of the park every time
Yet it all maybe rendered sublime
We cannot alter our voices
This covers all poets of our choices
You’ll find poets who well articulate
though meanings may particulate
Every poet is special to somebody
and have one thing in common
including ME
"Point of no Return"
**************************************************************
Death is a "Point of no Return"
Labouring with his flagging wings to fly,
Like lame lark he soars above cotton clouds
During the day and night to reach the sky
As with invisible wings he`s endowed;
It`s his soul quitting his bodily frame
That lying abed for some woeful weeks
With sustained stretch of stinging pains aflame
Now to part away is yearning to seek;
Afflicted to very core with heart ailment
Rescue has reached a point of no return,
With his closest of kin torn with lament
And his spouse expressing deepest concern;
Half alive half dead, gazing at he sky
He appears living in another world,
Silent and speechless with no sigh, his eyes
Dipped in some distant dreams are nearly curled.
Death is implacable and knows no bound,
When knells for us our final divine bell
Like yellow autumn leaves we kiss the ground
And to smoothen its will no tale to tell.
Simple folks or monarchs, vassals or lords
At their journeys` end kneel before its shrine
And to cajole it just cannot afford
Nor to sidestep its smashing sizzling shine
Death, indeed, is a point of no return
It respects neither caste nor creed nor rank
And allows not to make any U- turn
Nor does it permit any playful pranks.
XVI: Who was wrong...
Who was wrong I cannot say
But often keep pondering day after day
Thoughts to which attention I shouldn't pay
But the heart simply won't be at bay
Wonder who was right, both if at all
But I lost both the game and the ball
Emotions turned huge from unimportant and small
The brain tried to stay strong and stand tall
But even as I move on, I feel the same pain
Thinking about it the mind must refrain
The brain thinks all the moments were in vain
The heart disagrees, wants to skip a beat again
The past is gone, it cannot come back
Whatever it was, something it did lack
Lot of sadness, but true happiness it did pack
No shades of grey or white, what remains is black
XVII: Black is all that remains...
Black is all that remains in the mind
Fragments, memories, anything that will bind
But the special emotions are hard to find
They're lost, they were precious, one of a kind
Today the mind is back in the same deep hole
New meaning, it struggles to find a new role
Everything is dull, hopelessness is the dole
Now only the brain can control and cajole
And still I think as I lay in my bed
Was it something that I had said
Something wrong between the lines I read
Or simply a different path I didn't wish to tread
Today the mind continues to agitate
Struggles to find peace in any state
His memories the heart doesn't want to berate
True happiness is after all the best till date
XVIII: True happiness is the ultimate need
True happiness is the ultimate need
Don't know if I did a good deed
When I let go of the most precious bead
Someone in the heart planted a seed
Can't say the feelings continue to grow
The rate of pain vanishing is slow
The storm has passed but winds continue to blow
But calmer waters make it easier to row
Not sure how long the calmness will last
The eyes will water remembering past
Any form of happiness will be overcast
New things will just need to distract fast
True happiness will never come back
That special something I'll always lack
The memories the heart will always pack
Carefully preserved, piled in a stack
You were beautiful, sweet, kind;
Reassuring of your conviction.
Trepidation ringing in my mind
I focused on your profession.
I tried us both to cajole, convince,
If I showed you a kingdom of gold,
I could be your shining prince,
And watch our dreams unfold.
I searched, struggled, and drove
For panacea elusive; bejeweled.
An intricate and faulty tale I wove
Over the crumbling house I ruled.
Sadly, little did I realize
Instead of rescuing, enriching;
Never grasping the real prize,
My illusion was more bewitching.
So, instead of bliss replete
A nightmare invaded my slumber.
Expectation gave way to defeat
For reality had my number.
Tired and mangled, you were
Crying out in emotive agony.
I awoke from my awful stupor
Not your man but your enemy!
Grief, overwhelming and fierce.
My eyes burning with tears,
Sorrow my heart did pierce,
Knowing I epitomized my fears.
"I never loved you, Mistake.
I am alive. You’re dead.
No more hopes; they’re fake.
Just like us and our bed!"
"You hurt me and used me.
Oh, now it’s my turn!
Today, from you I’m free.
So let your feelings burn!”
Your words cut us asunder
Or were we ever together?
Spells of lies we were under.
Lo, simply a fate-less ether.
Yes, you meant to leave me.
Had your commitment waned?
Maybe you never meant "we?"
Well, your love is no longer feigned.
Now, I stand alone again;
Scarred, bruised but not beaten.
Not solo, with a true Friend;
Forbidden fruit not eaten.
With no earthly fortune; a pauper,
But heavenly royalty in the making.
I’m a healing man and proper
With faith and love not shaking.
True love is never fleeting.
Grace and truth aren't blind.
Commitment without entreating,
Two souls can forever bind.
One day fast approaching
I will be someone’s knight again.
Without shame's reproaching,
She will love me in the end.
So, goodbye my love jilted.
Peace and blessings to you.
By your memory no longer guilted,
My journey with you is through.
Tomorrow a new day dawns
With all promise abundantly.
Such excitement it spawns
Wrapped in splendored panoply.
“That dream only needs a speech to bring about the change the world has been waiting for,
never be speechless no matter what; you have something to say...”
Felix Joseph.o
SPEECHLESS!
A feeling contends to conquer me
Perhaps, I wanting to defeat it
Indeed, my irritability of the obvious
My contest to make it plain, baffles me
My best try,
Fry me to cry
Helpless my mouth
It cries echoes is speechless
When truth mutates to odium
Falsehood applauded as in a stadium
Avalanche of wrongs
Beaten into a compendium
Corruption celebrated in ovation
Justice, yet foreign in a nation
In reckless abandon,
The games rule is impunity
Flaunting absurd rights as immunity
Shame like a name
Honored as fame
Speaking the more
They have colonized the peak
Your audio, print and visual ranting
Concludes you an ant
A pens ink, as tears
Their brick hearts, quickly ignores
What then unlocks their hearts mystery?
Power emitting from the army’s canon?
Perhaps, the pens might
May cause a rethink
Yes a reflection amidst the stink
Confronts all loudly
Speechless is the act of the feel
Yet, still I dare to make a speech
A speech for my compatriots
A speech desiring a change
Yes! A speech to propel the speechless
Am speechless, yet not lacking in speech
Speechless is all it makes me feel
A speech can break the chains
Being speechless is not a gain
It germinates pain, like rain
Speak and rule the peak
Roar to unseat the freak
Shout and alarm the weak
Sing a tune, their hearts will break
Cry, your tears may cajole compassion
Yes! A speech ushers the change
The villains abhor a change
Truly, a speech moulds them speechless
A speech a world desire
Lacking in speak, all backfire
yet a speech will save the day?
Why speechless?
Just a speech of change will unveil the dream
yes! A dream for real change.

FRIENDSHIPS
Friends are the family
You choose for yourself
They're not built on money
Or to improve your health
They add so much to us
It's hard to relay
But disown a good friend
There's a high price to pay
A friend in your heart
Is worth two in the mind
A good friend, a true friend
Is real hard to find
Once you have found one
Do not let them go
With good friends beside you
You'll defeat any foe
A true lasting friendship
Built over the years
They've sat and laughed with you
And dried lots of tears
Birth, marriage and death
They've witnessed it all
You've tripped and you've stumbled
They won't let you fall
They'll guide you and help you
Sort out bloodied knees
With a smile and a soft word
Troubles halved with great ease
They'll coax and cajole you
To stand up for yourself
Their friendship's a free gift
You've no need for wealth
A return of this favour
Is all that they ask
No time and no money spent
The easiest of tasks
A two lane arrangement
To “Give as you receive”
If you don't return it
Expect them to leave
You'll upset their feelings
You could make them cry
Now sad and dejected
You wave them goodbye
So listen to me now
And listen up well
A friendships no possession
You're unable to sell
You can't count out friendship
It's deep in your heart
If asked to explain
You'll know where to start
It is spiritual, it's loving
It's “never say die”
It's a handshake or a warm hug
A glint in the eye
It's a total emotion
It stands out alone
It's a humorous message
Or a chat on the phone
It's often unspoken
No words to explain
You just think of the person
To smile once again
A loving mutual bond
Between two good friends
No matter the distance
The miles it transcends
So look out for your good friends
Keep them in your heart
Distance or time parted
Can't keep you apart
So love and cherish them
Your love you will send
From this day forever
Til your life's at it's end.

We’re making an impromptu flight change
Windstar is gonna have to make
a low-grav burn and turn
towards the Big Rocky asteroid belt border
It’s a risky nav maneuver for sure,
but every space outlaw has faced that situation before
We got pesky corporate police on our tail,
time to power down, run silent on dual trilitium cells
Pai-du Jerah
I’m the drawn short-straw captain of this motley crew,
they respect me with a razor edge
I’ve sacrificed my life a time or two for them,
I get the necessary begrudge ... but no flak,
when I tell them what we gotta do
My number one right hand is a woman
I wouldn’t look too hard at her, pal,
if you know what’s best for your health
Vydrikia, she’s a long purple-haired, gen-eng vixen,
with tripwire anger issues
She smiles dismissively at me,
as she unstraps her NB (nuke blast) pulse gun
Says the next time I mess with her,
she just might not have it set on stun
I know the crew is prickly raw, that they want a little r & r ...
but we’ve got an interstellar new gov hush-hush delivery to make
And this nasty job, we gotta see it through —
if we wanna get paid that five zil Galaxian credit
Don’t wanna hear none of that mission impossible talk
Our motto is:
Evade or pear starjuice cajole
Be prepared for any planetary orbital patrol
We’re space outlaws
When we drop out of hyperspace —
whatever you do,
vigilante solar citizens ...
don’t get in our way!
That’s one reward that ain’t worth dying for
We wear both hats;
sometimes we’re the good guys,
sometimes we’re on the other side
It depends on what the pay is,
depends on what the fight is too
Some say we ain’t nothing but paid mercs
When swiping the untraceable credit disk,
we love giving the mean smirks
We can be your best friend,
we can be your worst enemy
But oft times, we’re in the middle somewhere
Space outlaws don’t much care
