Demons of Thought

Hurdling, bending, twisting about
Contemplating, stressing, feeling without
High as a kite then down in the dumps
Cat has my tongue, my throat filled with lumps
Floods of people. Why do they watch
Must act "normal" and perform top notch
Tinted windows for my car, deadbolts for my door
Alone once again just like before
A sigh of relief, beneath my covers
The ghost of inadequence, relentlessly hovers
A heavy black cloud, fixed over my head
Exposing guilt, multiplying my dread
I hide beneath a blanket of words, painting a picture on my veil
Transforming my insecurities, adorning my hell
My peers, in the dark, I have become my disguise
A gentle heart can read, it speaks clearly through my eyes
This breed is rare, no doubt, the minority
With a loving tongue, they call me out. I give them the authority
Sadly these souls are also tormented. How ironic
We connect on a new level, sweetly demonic
Fighting demons together, keeping faith in the good Lord
Armed with our similarities, communion, our sword

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Instilling In Me Reverential Fear

January 28 Scripture Meditations Based on Leviticus 25-27

Key Verse – Leviticus 25:18 … Thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD your God.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR INSTILLING IN ME REVERENTIAL FEAR

Thank You for instilling in me reverential fear for Your holiness
Since You’ve imputed to me Your righteousness---
Keep me striving by Your purity’s immaculateness
While continuing along Your will’s steadfastness.

Thank You for instilling in me reverential fear for Your authority
Since You’ve adopted me as Your child by Your love’s security---
Keep me living under Your dominion’s gracious sovereignty
While confessing Your name’s great majesty.

Thank You for instilling in me reverential fear for Your commandment
Since You’ve called me toward Your commission-fulfillment---
Keep me obeying Your precepts, statutes and judgment
While complying to Your instructions’ requirement.

Thank You for instilling in me reverential fear for Your standard
Since You’ve appointed me as Your steward---
Keep me following Your diligence-pace away from the sluggard
While abiding in Your sure safeguard.

Thank You for instilling in me reverential fear for Your Word
Since You’ve taught me to handle it as the Spirit’s sword---
Keep me meditating Your law, not feeling bored
While applying Your Book’s principles, being divinely mentored.

Thank You for instilling in me reverential fear for Your lordship
Since You’ve freed me from sin-slavery bringing me to Your ownership---
Keep me submitting myself to Your leadership
While enjoying with delight’s bliss in Your fellowship and worship.

Snake's Legs

When snakes had legs and love was free,
A man called Adam climbed a tree.
Although he knew the act was banned,
He plucked an apple with his hand.

In Eden you could always find,
Delicious fruits of every kind.
And everyone of them were free,
Except the apples on this tree.

A snake you see, the curse of man,
Had swayed the mind of his woman.
His partner Eve had tried it all,
Except this luscious juicy ball.

But God had made it very clear,
He was the one you had to fear.
There is one thing you should not do,
”This tree is mine, and not for you!”

When battle rages in man’s mind,
To do what’s right for all mankind.
A woman’s will, will then prevail,
No matter if it makes him fail.

So Adam plundered to his fate,
His woman said she could not wait.
He plucked the fruit to his demise,
No matter that it was unwise.

Now God’s authority was broke,
They’d disobeyed the words he spoke.
He told them both to go away,
And closed his garden from that day.

So Eve and Adam, duly clothed,
Now left that place they’d been betrothed.
And found a world so large and free,
Where they could climb just any tree.

The snake of course had lost it’s legs,
Because he put God’s power to test.
By tempting woman in this way,
He’d had an awful price to pay.

But God it was, who came off worse,
His power was gone, and even worse.
A ‘woman’ had defeated him,
By making man commit this sin.

So women now will rule the land,
Not God, or men you understand?
For women conquer all they see.
While God enjoys ‘snakes legs’ for tea!

The Truth That Birthed Revelation

She stood by the waters
And viewed the withered stump
Shall life come to broken wood
When her veins have clumps
...of deception

Hope almost gone, nothing left
Delivered to trying ground
She put her nose to grindstone
Til all the voices left...sound
...stillness of night

She followed the lamb

A ways down the road
With full armor and sword
She began to win territory
For the LOVE of her LORD

One TRUTH stood in every land
Daddy God's name is LOVE
No authority but His
Can bring a WORD above
...His sacrifice

Every soul that meets her mouth
With her LOVE connect
To the deception believed
Til the soil of the heart rejects
...below

At that exact moment
Of seed intervention
REVELATION shows forth
The beauty of His creation
...in self

I am LOVED

TO BE OF SERVICE

Jesus served his brethren
He didn't come just to rule
His purpose to be of service
to be a godly tool

to be of service, an amenity
to be useful to others
to stand in the gap, lift up and pray
for your fellow sisters and brothers

to be of service like Jesus
Who for us put His life on the line
He walked in joy with humility deployed
and an attitude spiritually divine

to be of service, an amenity
to be useful to others.
to stand in the gap, lift up and pray
for your fellow sisters and brothers

true greatness comes not
from flaunting authority nor being cruel
true greatness comes from being humble
kind and spiritually ruled
so be of service, be of purpose
as you travel this life
be like the Son of Man
Our Lord Jesus the Christ

to be of service, an amenity
to be useful to others
to stand in the gap, lift up and pray
for your fellow sisters and brothers

to be of service to minister
to your fellow man
to be a help and not a hindrance
Is how you godly stand

to be of service, an amenity
to be useful to others
to stand in the gap, lift up and pray
for your fellow sisters and brothers

to be of service, an amenity
to be useful to others
to stand in the gap, lift up and pray
for your fellow sisters and brothers

A fool of warmth

The curtain hangs half-open, welcoming daybreak.
Outside—a rooster screams the day open, reciting yesternight’s moans.
A lizard on my window nods, as if he knows our sins.
He’s seen lovers before—
& he knows fire does not forgive the log it loves.
The sheets lie still, like elders sipping a story
too sacred for the young.

Your scent kneels in the unholy authority of my room,
like a prayer mat after dawn.
It refuses to leave, for it knows—
last night, like others, had no long-term goal.
My mind revisits episodes of last night,
like two birds wrestling in a cloud.
Our wings were tied by the string of want.
One fell; the other followed on top,
because even falling can be fellowship.

My ex once said silence grows teeth
when you keep feeding it memory.
So my teeth reach into Jericho,
before you whispered,
“don’t wake the river inside me—
it still dreams of rain.”
But I was already drifting,
too far for salvation,
as I stared at Jericho like an open wound
that refuses to bleed.
You moaned for morning glory,
and the security dog barked—a note of disbelief.

Somewhere, the sun began to burn the world.
But in here, my lust turned into bread—
you, the yeast.
Each second hammered in like a clout nail
into the dark and quiet.
This river will never forget
this mouth that drank from it.
In the middle of my own weather,
I paused—watching raindrops that never touched the ground.

I’m done, and tired.
Even wisdom grows weary of being right.
My pillow has folded itself
into the shape of your head,
writing the psalms of this event.
The day yawns wide,
as if to say softly: you are a fool of warmth.
I press my lips to the cup you used.
It is cold now.
The taste of coffee and presence
sits at the bottom like truth—
truth that I am a fool of warmth.

All But a Dream

How easily you return,
Within this mind's hindsight,
Never knowing how the swelling,
Gaping hole of your absence,
Weighs me down heavily,
With the confusion of your presence
In my dreams...

I crave substance,
Though well be my visions and tastes,
Vibrant...real be this cruel shape before me,
With voice like readying thunder,
And eyes plotting my defeat,
Ready to touch and redeem my soul

See how long control has fled from me,
As every fiber of my being convulses
With a grief none shall ever feel
And only hear of...

You can tell me to wake up,
To face reality,
To cope with the passionate eruption of these killer dreams...
But I will not hear you,
Or any being who dares to force me out of this trance--no,
I will not hear you
When the thunder claps
And my soul writhes against your grasp
You can scream at me,
Call me a fool with no substance,
You can shake me with the quaking ire
Of your controlled authority,
Though I will stay here,
Like unbreathable air
With monomaniac devotion

My future became threadbare then,
Lost in the desire of my eager grasp
The force of hot feelings flowing against ancient, chilled iceburgs
We once were untouched,
Ummovable,
Yet free
And once I tasted your fire,
Freedom has become all but a dream...
