Tale of The Night Movers

Hail, a phantom moon
traversing its cloaked
chambered recesses
of her prevalent crown.

Unspool gently and host
minding eyes immersed
within your ethereal pull
exacting Cupid's pursuit
impresses dependably.

Slay suspicious initiatives
yond hints of their riddled
hearts pausing serenity
and tryst capers a fullness
until dawning climbs to a
whispering.

Anticipatory confidences
secure immature adoration,
gift a sense of a certain fling,
for shared planned proof that
sensorial alliance is immortal.

Abiding hearts, minds, and
souls and that its permanence
lingers in all three entities to
be truly entrusted versus all
hardships that dare.

Any challenge purposeth
distraction swayed to disrupt
sanctioned harmony and
impose their nightly fight and
an easy win over the weak.

Lovers supposed union is but
a temporal existence, and
Cupid's aim slumbered apiece,
held in stasis as hostages host
for thoughts to fester.

A mire of serendipity and wished
upon measures of advice, out
from this unlit pullback of the
unimaginative lost, but hail to
the victorious and glorious.

Righteous grit encountering the
opaque influences of damaging
desires to hoodwink the candid
that wore down night's ethical
battle and fortuitous claim.

Justified inevitableness outlasts
twilight's hold by conquering the
gloaming tripped-upon dawn's
call ends nightmarish corps to
collapse.

Cherubs reward a star's chariot
ascent who condones a handheld
coursing and are hereby blessed
with a kiss of permanence and a
dreamt descent.

Commendable inspection outcome June 13th, 2023

Schwenksville scribe set himself task
re: expresses glad tiding

elbow grease did use
yielded nothing but rave reviews
as attested courtesy
eager disbelievers waiting in long queues
could hardly contain myself

and call English language as mine muse

pleasant surprise, when
regional property manager Pam Floreen,
gushed effusively commenting accolades,
exuding positive unsolicited feedback
(such praise forthcoming never experienced
since yours truly and the missus
inhabited one bedroom apartment B44;
July 1st marks sixth anniversary;
here at Highland Manor)
aforementioned feedback imbues

me with giddiness and relief
versus one experience
when Lisa Varley Wacker
(rounded out management team
after getting hired February 1st, 2023)
came down harsh as if her figurative fuse
got lit, cuz she severely

I cannot excuse
inflicting an unpleasant psychic bruise

I believe she did abuse.

Regular ongoing light maintenance
(cleaning refrigerator, mopping,
sweeping, vacuuming, et cetera) I write
helps tamps down anticipatory anxiety
most frequently decreasing after twilight
when on site management
leave for the day
a quiet state of mind quite
not readily apparent
to any casual observer,

which panic stricken disposition
ofttimes pervaded
dreams of mind at night,
so essentially lingering after effects
of satisfactory inspection
finds me feeling high as a kite
carrying away to ecstasy
a baby boomer of average height
these honest to dog these words
hoop fully as truthful fanciful flight.

Premium Member Halloween Is Fun

A weird disturbance in the belfry….werewolves or worse?
Batwing held on a bit tighter to her bulging old purse.
Count Dracula’s red eyes bounced open in morbid surprise.
Spooky goblins chasing ghouls. Gargoyles smiles are on the rise.

October is the month for things to be slightly amiss.
The ebony toad hops away from warm cauldron’s kiss.
Witches on wispy broomsticks, showing off strange tricks.
Coffin sleepers glory in trick-or-treating shticks.

Magic in the air, anticipatory sheen.
What day is it daughter? Of course it’s Halloween.
Grab your mask, your costume and orange madness boots.
The owls are all atwitter, hooting pumpkin shoots.

Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
Lamentations 3:23 NLT

Because of God’s tender mercy,
the morning light from heaven
is about to break upon us…

Cockcrow Releases New Story

A baby is born, in the East,
As angels take notice, and beast.
Fates are there in preparatory.
Cockcrow releases new story.

Hell in disbelief sends fury,
Bethlehem’s children to bury.
Sin’s release of inventory,
Cockcrow releases new story.

Gathers Pharisees, Sadducees
To question, impose their decrees.
The blind are accusatory,
Cockcrow releases new story,

At every turn making points.
Then, Christ’s friend, Judas, disappoints.
Thorns, cat of nine tails, cross - gory.
Cockcrow releases new story.

It’s a shame, the funny thing is,
This sacrifice is the Son’s biz,
Redemption’s exculpatory.
Cockcrow releases new story.

Three days in the grave, the tears rage,
Like lion’s den and oven cage.
The kick anticipatory -
Cockcrow releases new story.

The angel bright on ebon rock.
Entire world would be in shock.
Risen life, celebratory -
Cockcrow releases new story.

It would be written, good news -
Believe or disbelieve, you choose.
Sweet breath of heav’n auditory.
Cockcrow releases new story.

At new home’s gate, what lies in store -
Treasures of pearl and gold and more.
Still my heart, the Savior’s glory.
Cockcrow releases new story.

Premium Member Waiting for Waiting’s End

The chancy countdown clock of my mortality
is ticking toward some unknown preset alarm.
I’m aware of every taciturn tick tock
in unrecoverable moments spent waiting
for something to happen…
and I do not wait well.

I wait for stiff slices of tanned toast to pop up.
I wait for the microwave’s proclamatory ping.
I wait for endless dreary drizzle to stop.
I wait for supplemental shoes to drop.
I wait for stern scarlet stoplights to glow green.
I wait for stalled responses to emailed queries.
I wait for weighty debts to be repaid.
I wait for market losses to regain.
I wait for unsure recovery from illness.
I wait for a time and place of serene stillness.
I wait to watch news that makes me feel happy…
instead of sadly numb from unrelenting horror.
I wait for a time when love and peace…
are not hammered by hate and violence.
I wait for our warming forests to stop catching fire.
I wait for AI to prove its promise rather than peril.
I wait for a clogged Congress to civilly meet in the middle.
I wait for common sense and facts to regain a following.
I wait for a time when cynicism concedes to optimism.
I wait for the long dark night of our collective souls to end.
I wait for the culmination of all things, large and small.
I wait for a time when all our waiting concludes.
I wait for anticipatory hope of Advent and Eschaton
to authentically, faithfully, finally, feel real to me.

But I’m mired in my own limited perception.
I need another perspective for waiting well.
I recall my life spans just an eye-blink slice
within deep, astronomical, cosmic time.
From the Big Bang to the Bethlehem star
over thirteen billion years passed by,
a very long Advent time indeed.
God must be very good at waiting.

Meditation Guru Me...

Spiritual tranquility (uber visionary)
     welcoming yuletide zen,
sans relinquishing down
     lyft ting thoughts
     to state of minimal
mental activity, when
after some
     few minutes elapse,
there imperceptibly arises ten

den sea for light
transcendent state
to materialize quite
by easing away
     from deliberate concentration
coaxing insight, and detaching
thoughts to any plight
ordinarily feasting on consciousness,

     and rendering me into
an anticipatory anxious
state outright
clutched by imagined fears
     analogous to hearing,
and seeing monsters
     (albeit 10,000 maniacs)
during the night,
which lumbering beasts

conjured with very
little (if any) might,
but imps of the pervert
     (figure of speech)
scatter like cockroaches
upon dawn's early light
leaving me noggin
scrambled from vivid dreams

afflicting this good knight
wracking mine toes
to head approximately
seventy inches in height
which latitudinal measurement
of this man
doth displease,
cuz imagining myself

     bigger methinks defending
myself from bullies,
would hove been ease
zee to manage,
     yet in reality,
     this lix lifelong man
remembers as a boy,
how he did freeze

even during heat of summer,
and at that time
no Ask Jeeves
existed, thus scared
     and lonely yours
truly accumulated
daily inter leaves
of poker red hot anger,

     and rage against the machine,
     viz human unkind,
thus these latter days
crowded with dis please
zing pained memories,
that doth seize

this reclusive *****sapien,
whereat in mine hovel
nobody can tease
me, only during slumber
     nasty, brutish and short
Hobbesian ghosts
disrupt my zzz's.

As I recall, it was the second of four years of college in a study for the gospel ministry. It was my World History class that was being taught by a very learned instructor who was also the president of the college.

That particular class day led us to a passage of scripture in the 13th chapter of Acts. As the passage was being read, our instructor had us to pause and give attention to verse one in the text. The chapter recorded the gathering of leaders of the faith with the intention and plan of setting aside and sending out missionaries. In the group were certain prophets and teachers. Noted among the group were four men. Barnabus, Simeon that was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, and Saul.

Our instructor directed our attention to Simeon that was called Niger. What happened next planted a seed of belonging and trust within me that has served me well throughout my life. He was a large man with a heavy voice, and every fiber of his being beamed with the fragrance of authority. He demanded that no one was to ever in any way use the text about Simeon's race in a derogatory manner. You could have heard a pin fall, and no one as much as asked a question or made a statement, because they knew where the teacher was coming from.

It was a class of white students with one lone black student in the person of myself. On this major subject in the late 60s, our instructor both defined to me and demonstrated an object lesson of what it means to be 'proactive'*. In my own mind, he had spoken volumes and built a proactive dame, holding back any potential floods of prejudice or racism.

The woods are on fire was my first thought
But I was the one who wanted this journey
So, I took another step into the unknown
The night had turned red, it was a blood moon

Ominous to some? To me, it felt like home
There was a comfort in seeing the souls of the trees
They had always nurtured me, tonight was no different
I saw lights in the distance, the castle of the soothsayer

She had lit the path along the way with spirited reds
A hazy mist in the distance almost looked like snow
I knew it was remnants of her magic; she had begun without me
I am her heir, her apprentice, a seventh daughter of a seventh daughter.

My steps felt light now, there was anticipatory joy in my heart.
I was almost home, where my true training would begin.
I would become an alchemist like my mother and her mother.
The sorceress threw out a wave of pink in a lovely welcome.
