Lockdown- 15th Day

Little mud with thatched hut
Many were in this hut from my forefathers
All are passed away

I saw there was an old banyan tree on the corner of home yard
A tamarind tree was there on the east side of pond
Was there afraid of ghost at moonless night
Was there dome of straws on the entrance side of the yard
Cocks, hens, ducks, cows, goats full of domestic animals were
Were there paddy granary, fishes in pond
Were there Syed Masjid and Kali Temple in my village
Abbas Maulabi and Dev Prasad Brahmin taught religion there

But now no hut there is without concrete building;
Picture of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle
Picture of Einstein, Hawking, Sri Tagore, Whitman
Tomb picture of Ghazali, Shams Tabrizi, Rumi, Lalon Shaiji
Saintly picture of Mother Teresa telling me consciously-
'No one is permanent o dear child! '
Now, I find all these are in this painting scenery of artist
and in the true poetic expressions

As memory rider an artist and poet can awake the gone past
Ephemeral all are on this earth inn
Though slight glittering happiness in the artist canvas
and poetic imagery words;
After a while these all will be disappeared

I, s/he and you are not eternal
Eternity is not the property of the creations

Happiness and sorrow, life and death, time and tide...
Healthy and wealthy, sickness and poverty....
Disasters and epidemic either natural or artificial
Frolicsome and lock down city
nothing is permanent

Universal truth that-
Eternity is not applicable to my thinking
where time is always changeable link
and unseen separation being

This dark night will go far after some hours
The sun must shine the world offering nature

Premium Member The Usa Is Not Perfect

The USA is not perfect
  never has been
    never will be

Unlike Russia, which has
  ‘no alcohol problem’
     ‘no civil disobedience’
        ‘no LGBTQ populace’
Not to mention no truth in the
information it disseminates to
suckers around the world...

Yes, indeed, the USA is not perfect
  not with George Washington
    the 1700’s slaveholder (gasp!)
on our currency, not to mention
Susan B. Anthony, who was proudly
            anti-abortion, pro-life – for shame, for shame!

~ Our ignominious past consigns us to eternal penance ~

Unlike Libya, where an ancient slave trade flourishes
to this very day: Muslims enslaving black Christians
which does not fit the media’s narrative
so most people aren't aware of it
and the rest don’t care about it

Unlike Afghanistan, where the repression of the 'Old Taliban'
is now fully in place under the ‘Newer, More Gentle Taliban’

or Syria, whose butcher of a ruler has made refugees of half his
citizenry, gassing thousands of others with chemical weapons…

But yes, indeed, the USA is not perfect
   Never has been
     Never will be

Let us forever grovel in abasement to all the tin-horn dictators of the world
not to mention our home-grown squadrons of regressive radical progressives

Down with Jefferson, Lincoln, Grant, Teddy Roosevelt, Truman and Reagan!
Up with Omer, Tlieb, Pressley, Sanders, AOC, Corey Bush, Schiff, Nadler...
Long live Maduro, Castro, the Mullahs, Xi, bin Salman, Abbas, Gaddafi et al!

Lies are Truths Might Makes Right Facts are Opinions

Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur

On Yom Kippur, the day of atonement
The Priests did acts to prevent God’s disownment.

Two goats to the desert so God’s Law is fulfilled,
One goes free and the other is killed.

One killed for God to meet his appraisal
The other set free for Enoch’s Azazel.

This sacrifice, for one year alone
Is repeated yearly in order to atone.

Now we turn to the Gospels’ trial
With an act opposed to Pilate’s guile

A prisoner release this time of year
And the crowd did choose with their cheer

Their choice it seemed was fixed indeed
Between two men, one would bleed

The other free to run away
And live or die another day

Two prisoners did Pilate present
One for release and one for torment

The name of one is not his name
Although milenia have given it fame.

Jesus Barabbas, the crowd cried, “free”
The other Jesus you can nail to a tree.

But in reality they are the same
Even though a difference in the name.
Jesus bar abbas means son of the father
But rarely a Christian will ever bother
To investigate the original tongue
From which the Gospels originally sprung.

We also have Jesus, called The Messiah
Who, in his life was as a pariah

So Jesus Barabbas and Jesus, God’s son
Both the same as the Yom Kippur run.

One to die for the nation’s sin
The other goes free, a new life to begin

So once again, tales are repeated
Truth is irrelevant and facts are cheated

The story’s concept is really what matters
With “our guy” looking good, the facts can be battered.

It happened in May, 1948
Israel declared itself a new-old state

In hours it came under fierce attack
From Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Iraq

The four Arab states told their kin in Israel
Leave your homes, come to us. Here's the deal:

In three weeks or less, we'll push the Jews into the Sea
Then you'll return to your homes in triumphant victory

But little Israel turned the Arab attackers away
So what did Egypt and Jordan do within days?

They fenced their 'Arab brothers' in squalid refugee camps
Then blamed Israel(!) for causing them their murderous plans to 'revamp'

This is what happened. Read about it in the media of that day
If so, why do so many people support the PA?* --

Because the Arabs have lied about the refugees for so many years
That the truth has become sullied and is no longer clear

History will show that Israel is not to blame
The onus is on the Arabs, along with the shame

You Can Do It

You have seen life being pleasant to you,
And you have seen it being nasty too.
Which course it will take is unto you,
Stark black or bright blue.

Honor yourself for whatever course you take,
Respect yourself for all the decisions you make.

It's yet hard to survive or think ahead now,
But have faith in yourself,
And you'll make it through somehow.

No one can give your life back to you,
But faith in yourself,
That you'll swim to the shore in a rough sea too.

In your engrossment over your bad luck,
You are failing to see the light,
Which can dawn upon you,
From your own insight.

God told you that He's with you in every way of life,
But you found yourself all alone to fight and to strive.
When you complained to Him, He said;
The one pair of foot prints, which you saw as yours along the shore,
Were of mine and mine alone,
Because all through your hardships and troubles i was carrying you.

Premium Member Happiness!

The halo of happiness I craved to wear,
Wasn’t in my reach or in my share.
My eyes turned green, my heart went dead,
On seeing it embedded on another’s head.
I was a victim of my own depressed thoughts,
And reflected how to undo these grave knots.

Happiness although not simple to attain,
Makes things simpler when attained.
Shadows in the life are caused and designed,
By standing in one’s own sunshine.

I sought for happiness in the distance
My endless endeavors made Little’ sense
When somebody whispered this hint,
It’s growing under your own feet.

If you are a master of your own self,
You can end sorrows without another’s help.
Pleasure can be created too,
If the true benefits of joy is found within you.

For happiest moments we ever spent
Are those shared with a special friend,
Great happiness has it’s own unique talent,
“Great joys like grief are simply silent.”

A Talismanic Incantation

A Talismanic Incantation
By Faleeha Hassan
Translated by Mahmoud Abbas Masoud
I gathered the pores of my being
And came to perfume them with your own fragrance
Only to discover that you are an oleander -- a rosebay
While in the memory of unease and apprehension
I trace some features that resemble no one but you
An image has its own dimensions
And, when hopelessness assails me, I have roads
That never cease to pull and lead me toward you
And while in the nook of anxiety
I fancy a preordained timing
For events that never materialize
The image draws near
And I talk to it
About the tons of heavy separation
That oppress the seasons of my life
I have recited you as rain
Yet your lightning never came near me
Alienation gathered thick
Tears heaved with gushing flow
Who will tell you that
My silence is like the mouth of a volcano
I am boundless
Yet fettered only by my own memory
And you are
And will always be
The ever-never closest to me

Music To My Ears

buddy holly oh boy could sing he penned lyrics fit for a king

the beegees knew how to leave ya with there saturday night fever
then the clash they want to know should you stay or should you go
because abbas hear and without a fuss they will sing to one of us
then the jacksons with there hair everyone knows they got to be there

the pistols there causing a seen down with society but god save the queen

memories fading as you look back it could of been magic i guess your take that

Premium Member The Vigor of Youth

   I look around and frown
     to see eighty-plus-year-old clowns
   stuttering and stumbling around
     the corridors of power...

From Slow-Joe Biden to Unelectable Mahmoud Abbas*
from Black-out Mitch McConnell to Fragile Francis, the Pope
They all refuse to step down
     to give youthful leaders hope...

Corporations keep the young blood flowing
their ideas and vigor keep the profits growing
But the world's nations prize creeping senility
     over youthful ability
